  • Regarding E-Recruitment EHP4

    Hi,
We have upgraded from E-Recruitment EHP2 to E-Recruitment EHP4.  We  need to do some customization in the applications like changing the description texts, label of the UI elements etc.. Is there a place in the configuration settings so that we can do them directly or what could be the way to do so.  When analysed the respective applications, so many components are created and used in some other component and mainly FPM is used. Any help on this is highly appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best Regards,
    Vivek.

The FPMs are created using component configuration. Using the same component configuration technique you can generally change labels and texts quite easily.  You will need to study the component configuration of the FPM itself and the configuration that may also be attached to any inner WD Components (particularly if GUIBBs were used).
You can read more about FPM and its configuration here:

  • Regarding E-Recruitment Resume Parsing

    Hi,
We are upgrading to E-Recruitment EHP4.  In that for the External Candidate, the resume parsing function plays a major role and this can be done using a third party vendor. Can anyone suggest about the vendor for resume parsing or is there anyway that we can bypass this parsing and proceed further.
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Vivek.

    Hi,
I do not know any third party vendor I could recommend to you.
As I understand you want to deactivate this function, don't you?
Go to Technical Settings -> User Interfaces -> Candidate -> Backend Candidate -> Assign Values to Interface Parameters. Remove the X in the entry RSP_IN_UNREG_AWZD.

  • E-Recruitment: Process Templates

    Hi All
    I have a query regarding E-Recruitment module.
I am not clear with the concept of Process templates and Activity types in E-Recruitment.
    According to what i understood..
Process templates, Processes  and Activities are created by Recruiter once the system is in use.
There are Standard proccesses and activity types already available.
    1) Then what is the job of a Functional consultant with respect to process templates, proccess, activity types and activities while configuring the system?
    2) Pls Correct me if m wrong..
The one who is configuring the system, only has to define activity types and make them available for the recruiter to design    his own process templates and processes?
(If yes then this would simply increase recruiters job)
---Activites he will be creating to assign in Processes, will be the instances of Activity Types configured by us.
    Is my understanding correct?
if no pls explain the correct scenario
    3) What are the restrictions while using process templates by recruiters?
---Meaning does the recruiter has to complete activity A compulsorily before going to activity B ?
---Can this be controlled by configuration specific to activities and processes based on client's requirments?
Please help me in understanding the concept clearly
    Regards
    Asha

    hello asha,
questionaires are a posibility to flexible gather information from candidates or feedback of people involved in the hiring process.
There are differen scenarios where questionairs can be used. In the application wizard to gather information not available in standard or only nbeeded from certain target groups / for certain requisitions. You can send a questionaire to a candidate to get additional information of interesting candidates. This way you can keep the application wizard short so not half of the candidates gets tired and leaves the website before reaching the end. You use questionaires for the manegers feedback to an application or to document interview results in the system. Furthermore you can use it for an additinal tagging of candidates in the pool. Instead of only mark them A, B, C you can add a questionaire IT Specialist with 10 questions for skill areas to track OS know how, methology know how, programming language know how, ...
As consultant you have to help the customer to find where he needs additional data. Then you have to evaluate if the questionaire is the right solution. For a general guideline: questionaires are flexible but horrible to evaluate in mass or used in automated processing. Depending on your skill set a tech guy usually needed here, too.
    Example:
SAP does not support the nationality in the candidate profile. Many customers here need this information due to early starting processes for getting work permits when hiring a candidate who are no EU resident. You can gather this information with a questionaire or enhance the profile.
If the customer only wants to have the information to check by hand when planning a hiring, it's ok to use a questionaire. Even if there are different questionaires for the application wizard the recruiter can always look at the one used. If he wants to run statistics on this information or wants to display the information in the data overview questionairs are no good idea. As every new questionaire means changing the data overview and statistics about the HRHAP tables are just horrible.
When you know where to use questionaires the exact design of the content is of course also your part. The creation of questionaires in the system is in my opinion a customer task as they are usually changing over the time (= replaced by new ones as used questionaires cannot be changed). That's why training them how to maintain questionaires should be you task.

  • E-recruitment configuration process need?

    Dear All,
Can any one share to me e-recruitment configuration process?
    Regards
    Somu

E-Recruitment configuration process is different than other modules
First of all you have decide based on clients requirement implementation
    1) is it single system i.e ECC + E-Rec in same system
    2) OR ECC and E-Rec separate systems
Configuration process varies based landscape design.
Check some of the below threads it might give more information and also you can search more in sdn.

  • Carrer and job workset in ESS role

    Hi Guys,
I have a problem in ESS role, I am having SP12 portal with ESS SP8,ADS SP10 and WebDynpro 6.4. In Ess role there is a workset called "career and job" when I try to open "Candidate Profile" under this workset I get an error regarding

Can any one tell me how can I solve this error? Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Yasir Noman

    Hi,
I faced with the same problem and I reported message to SAP support
    SAP's unswer:
    "Step 1.
Import the business package that is sent as an attachment alon with this message. It contains the latest iViews.
    IMPORTANT ###
This will over right any changes that you have made in the portal. You
will need to back up you changes and import them back into the portal
after you have updated the business package.
    IMPORTANT ###
    Step 2.
Define a portal system that points to the WAS hosting E-Recruitment
services. This system should have an alias SAP_BSP_EREC. This is a very
important step and this will ensure that the iView can look for the
correct place to open up the BSP application.
    Step 3.
In the view V_T7XSSSERRES, update the field "URL for PCD path" for the
following resources. Currently the last string of this field is
    com.sap.pct.ess.serv_career_job,
    this should be replaced by
    com.sap.pct.ess.bsp_career_job:
This change is applicable to all the following services.
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_APPLICATIONS_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_DATA_OVERVIEW
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_DIRECT_APPL_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_FAVORITES_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PERSONAL_SETTINGS
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PROFILE_RELEASE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_PROFILE_SERVICE
    EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_SEARCH_JOBS_SERVICE
There may be a need to set the right authorizations to run BSP
    application on the WAS.
Otherwise we have rectified this and is available in next support pack.
You can wait till next support pack is released.
I made full portal backup - it is very important
Instead of step 1 I imported new patched ESS package (BPERP4ESS01_0-10003146.SCA, note 879075) from 05/10/05 and steps 2,3
It partially helps, but I get new error "An internal error occurred. Please try again later." I think because there are missing functionality steps regarding E-recruiting BSPs
    Best regards, Elena

  • Regarding Vendor's list in E-Recruitment

    Hi,
Is it possible for Recruiter to select the vendor list for posting the job requisition. He should be able to view the list of all vendors in the country/location where he is working.

    Hi,
e-recruiting has no time schedule functionality to list all your interviews or offer the posibility to plan ressource e.g. the number of candidates already invited to a accessment center which has a max capacy of 20.
The only current possibility is the application "my planned activities" where you can display all activities of type "Interview". If I remember correctly you can also choose the invitation date for this activity category.

  • E-Recruiting : Regarding Internal applications & offer letters

    Dear Experts,
I have a few clarifications & some client requirements that i need help on. Pls provide your inputs regarding the same :
    1) What is the purpose of internal candidates applying for jobs? Can they be selected for a position even though they already hold a position in the company? Is the data transferred from eRecruiting to ECC in such a case like new hires? I would liek to know what is the end result of an internal application?
    2) Can an external applicant change his application details once he has submitted his application in the application wizard? If so, how can he do it. I coule not open the application wizard once the application is submitted.
    3) Can the search for candidates be somehow restricted that already hired applicants are not displayed in the list? Can it be restricted based on some custom criteris like blacklisting of candidates etc?How can we ensure that TREX does not display the relevant NA objects? Locking & Releasing of profiles will not suit as the candidates also themselves can change this
4)Client would like to keep a track of the offer letters sent to a candidate & serialise this. For Eg: They would want to track the number of offers sent to the candidate & should be able to come back to a particular offer letter & reprint it again. The multiple versions of offer letters would into picture if the hiring date is changed etc.
    5) Is it possible to print multiple copies of the offer letter at one time?
Your inputs & ideas on any of the above points will be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
some more details to the questions you asked:
    Question 1:
There are different strategies and processes how employees develop within a company but for most of them the development includes an organizational change at a certain point as you can hardly reshape the position character all the time arount the expectations and abilities of an employee. One of these strategies is succession planning combined with personal development. The hr organization and the management define a development plan for and with an employee train him to use his full potential than just let him rot where he was once hired. This is in the interest of the company and the employee. But succession planning is a business which requires a lot of effort and so it is usually only done with a certain level / group of employees.
Another way is to allow the employees to develop by applying for a job if they think it is a chance to improve and build their talents. In many companies there are even regulations that a new position or a position which needs a successor has to be offered to the employees first before hr is allowed to start looking for an external candidate.
So hr publishes a new position like a team lead for a production area and every worker from the area or even from other devisions can apply. The go through the process af candidate evaluation and if one employee fullfills the requrements he moves in the organization. Technically this is usually an organizational change. A special version of this startegy of internal hiring can be found in reshaping companies which go through a complete restructuring. I have done projects where e-recruiting is just used that every employee from the old organization finds his new chair in the organization. In these cases it is much easier to just let people apply for the position they want instead of trying to plan the move of 10k employees.
The data for such an internal hiring is only partly transfered to the ECC system. It already has the employees data so only the new position and the date of change have to be transfered if not the hr admins enter it directly in the ECC.
    Question 2:
In the current state of sap e-recruiting which ist E-Recruiting 603 (which means e-recruiting 600 plus EhP3) the candidate can not change the application related data he entered after submitting the application, but he can chang his profile data by logging into his startpage. The application related data which can not be changed include the cover letter and the application source. Everything else belongs to the profile therefore is not apllication dependent and can be changed.
    Question 3:
The search for candidates finds candidates which released their profile only as they agreed to be checked on other positions than the ones the originally applied for.
If a candidate is hired he is changed from external to internal and the profile of internal candidates is locked by defauled. Same way for cnadidates you want to exclude from search as long as he does not rerelese the profile. Their profile can be locked by a recruiter creating a status change for it. To track the evaluation of the candidate there are ranking and questionaire activities which can be included in the search.
    Question 4:
Changed letters are serealized but the parts which are not in the editable letter section depend on the smartform as do unchanged letters. You will probably not be able to use e-recruiting as records managemet for offer letters. In addition due to the restrictions of the letter change most projects I have been working in only create the first page from e-recruiting while the contract itself is done outside the system.
    Question 5:
You can hit the print button several times every thing else requires modification or customer development.
    Best Regards

  • Regarding BSP page creation in SAP E-Recruiting

    Hi,
I have a requirement to create a BSP in E-Recruitment module, how can we do this?
    Just give me idea.
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hello Anil,
I do not understanad your requirement clearly.Provide us with more inputs.
If you want to change the color, look n feel and navigation of the standard BSP follow the steps below :
    1. Copy the standard BSP application to a new z-version one.
    2. Copy the control classes of the standard BSP application.
    3. Associate and refer these Z - Control classes with the z bsp application
    4. Start customizing the application  and go through the coding properly to which stylesheets the application is refering it to with each of the bsp.
Follow the procedure and links given above by shaoming peng. They are even usefull too.
And if you are looking something like .....integration of this standard bsp application with SAP Enterprise Portal and want to apply the stylesheets of EP ?
Then it is easy to do this. Since the EP can apply the stylesheets to these BSP application using theme editor.  Follow this steps :
    1. Integrate the standard BSP application in EP.
    2. Start customizing the themes using System Administration -> Portal Display -> Theme Editor ->
    3. Change the colors, stylesheets here.
    4. Save these customized theme in a new z theme.
    5. Attach this theme to Portal Desktop,
    6. Finally refere this Portal Desktop with the Desktop rule collection.
And you will see the changes with the affected colors and stylesheets applied to BSP application in EP.
Is this the way you are looking for ?
Also if you are looking something stylesheet in the BSP application itselfs, then do the changes in theme editor
follow the procedure sugegsted by shaoming peng to upload these theme editor stylesheets in R/3 using BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS.
The one which you are saying about visualtools or something might not be possible to do it to apply the stylesheets.
Finally, the reason why u are not able to see the bsp application in se80 is :
I guess....you have not typed the  HRRCF in the program name text box.
Type HRRCF and press F4 for help and you will see the standard BSP application for E-recruitment.
    I hope this information helps.
    Regards,
    Anil Kumar.
and do some changes then configure the new one to the start page.
If you want to customize the standard application
