Regarding the "Get a Free iPhone" advertisement...

I can understand how the iPhone 5s 16gb can be valued at $300, and the iPhone 4 16gb can be valued at $200, but how can the iPhone in between, the iPhone 5 16gb be valued the SAME as an iPhone 4? If Verizon is valuing the iPhone 4 at $200, shouldn't the iPhone 5 be valued at $250? It is 2 years newer than an iPhone 4, with better features, yet priced the same?

The actual trade-in value Verizon states on their site is much less without the promotion (most of us agree these values are very low).

Verizon just adds different 'promotional' amounts to make the trade-in total either $200 or $300 depending on the model. If you don't want them to do that for you, I recommend selling your phone yourself.

Not getting past Free iPhone Finder page in itunes

I've plugged my iphone 4 to my computer to sync with itunes, however I get a page offering free iphone finder and none of the links on it are working "Not Now"
I cant get into my normal menu to sync the iphone?

All text on the device page for my iPhone is not showing. The icon for the phone is visible and buttons are visible on the device page, but no text. No text shows on the bottom of the device page, the sync button is not labeled. My lat update was for the 4.2 version update. Since then the iTunes device page for the iPhone does not load correctly and I am unable to sync.
It's a font problem, d, generally caused by trouble with the Segoe fonts on your system.

Is the Tmobile contract free iphone 5s unlocked? Will I be able to use it with a local network in Ireland?

I'm thinking about buying an iphone 5s from an Apple store in the US in a few weeks time when I am there. If i buy it from a store is it factory unlocked or do they all come with contracts? If I bring it home to Ireland will I be able to bring it to my network provider (Vodafone) and get a new sim card put in so I can use it everyday in Ireland?

Today at work (I am teacher) one of my co-workers said that if you are a teacher and you buy a macbook, you can get an iPhone.
Is that true? I have been thinking about getting one for myself.
Also my daughter really wants an iPhone for christmas. I am most likely going to get her one, but we already have alltel. My son doesn't have a cell phone yet, so he can have my daughters old phone, and we can get her an iPhone.

No you do not get an iphone for free.
I know that if you are a student and have to be college student, you get an ipod touch for free with the purchase on macbooks, and you get a free printer (was free during summer, but not sure about now).
As for the sms, if you are on a single plan, texting is $5 for 200, I don't remember for the 1500 sms but for unlimited it's $20.

I have a question regarding the iPod Touch and iPhone batteries.

I started asking myself questions lately about my iPod Touch 5th generation battery. A few months ago, when a friend of mine asked me to plug her iPhone 5S in the wall (the battery depleted), I noticed that her phone was at 1% of battery power. Then I compared my iPod Touch battery with her phone's battery, and discovered that my iPod Touch stops working when the battery is close to 10% battery power. This is concerning to me because I feel like I only have about 85-90% of battery power available when I use my iPod Touch, while my friend has over 99% of battery available. It's a huge gap, I can't use this 10% that I wish i had. I'm wondering why iPods can't stop functioning when the battery is close to 1% instead of 10%? Can you imagine not being able to use 10% of your battery! And it was like this since iOS 6.1.3. My iPod Touch would shut down automatically when the battery would be depleted, but in reality, it still had 10, maybe 15% left. Why is that?

Hey Lil'fighter, First, stop comparing an iPod with an iPhone. They may look a like on the outside, share the same iOS, and some of the components, but that is as far as it goes! The biggest reason your friends iPhone out last the iPod is a bigger battery, greater capacity. Secondly, the phone is configured a bit differently and uses power a little more effectively. Third, it is impossible to completely drain the battery in either device. A safety circuit prevents you from doing that. With Li-ion batteries if you completely drain one, it will de-ionize and become useless; never charge again. I suspect the threshold is set higher for an iPod then on an iPhone. But if you feel your iPod is not performing as it should, and a reset or restore does not improve function, then by all means take it to Apple and have it evaluated. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Issues with VoLTE on SIM-Free iPhone 6 on AT&T

I have noticed that AT&T does not appear to support VoLTE calls on the new SIM-free iPhone 6 (A1586). I have a Verizon iPhone 6 (A1549) and just bought the new SIM-free iPhone 6. I can insert my Verizon SIM card into either phone and make calls over VoLTE. Similarly, I can insert my AT&T SIM card into my Verizon iPhone 6 (A1549) and make calls over VoLTE, but if I insert the SIM into the SIM-free iPhone 6, calls on AT&T drop down to 4G. I checked the LTE settings on the phone, and even had a support chat with AT&T where they confirmed that VoLTE was active on my account when the SIM was inside the A1586 model, but for whatever reason calls would always drop down to 4G.
Has anyone been able to resolve this, or is this an issue on AT&T's side?
