Regarding the Memory ID

Hi Experts,
I am using a new conversion routine MATN4 in place of MATN1 for the domain MATNR.
So I created two Function modules
CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN4_INPUT and CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN4_OUTPUT.
The INPUT module performs the conversion from display format to internal format. The OUTPUT module performs the conversion from internal format to display format.
My requierment is that always the input and output should be same but internally it will link to the internal material no.
So in my FM CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN4_INPUT I am using the EXPORT statement to store the data of a variable in Memory and in FM CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN4_OUTPUT I am IMPORTing that data to display.
When I am creating a salesorder the input and output remains the same and linking to the material No.
But issue is that the for all the line items same output is displayed.
So please help me to rectify this issue.
Thanks in Advanc

Hi,
I did not understand why you need to create separate conversion routine. And I donu2019t see any use of this in the sales order creation. In sales order you will have the material in the external format only.
Coming back to your problem I think the in routine EXPORT/IMPORT is not working properly and you have the same value of the variable in the CONVERSION_EXIT_MATN4_OUTPUT. Please check this might be one of the reasons.
Thanks.

    Hi All,
There is some things that I don't understand on Solaris, regarding the memory utilization.
In my research on google, I have found this very usefull command : echo "::memstat" | mdb -k

The thing that I don't understand is the difference between the 2 output for the free memory:
    FREE for mdb : 14554 MB -> 14.2 Go
    FREE for vmstat : 14629308 kb -> 14286.4MO -> 13.9Go
I can tell that nothing is runing on my system (except the OS)
The difference is not very big 0.3 as on this server I have :
    Memory size: 16380 Megabytes. (prtconf)
A strange thing is that I have successfully started a java process with 15go (so 15360 Mo), even if I have 14554 MB:
    root@localhost > java -d64 -Xms15G -version
    java version "1.6.0_23"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_23-b05)

    root@localhost > /home/ullink/COMMON/JAVA/latest/bin/java -d64 -Xms16G -version
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
BUT, on a servers which I have 73720 Megabytes (prtconf), the difference is bigger:

    so here I have:
    FREE for mdb -> 58290mb --> 56.9Go
    FREE for vmstat -> 58047224 b --> 55.35Go
so here I have a difference of 1.5Go....
I have the feeling that when more we have memory, more the difference is big.
I investigate on this because on this (last) server, the production team of my compagny told me that they don't know "where" are some GB of RAM on this server....so I try to understand....
I don't say that all my interpretation are good, but there is something I don't understand...
so the question I have are :
    - why was I able to start a java process with 15G?
    - what is the difference between mdb and vmstat?

    BIOS: AMI V1.1 (11/07/2007)
    Hello,
Almost all new motherboards today only have a primary ide channel and the rest are SATA.
I need inputs regarding the dvd drive which is shown in device manager as located on the primary ide channel while the hard drive is located on the secondary channel. Because I would like to update the dvd drive to the latest firmware (version 1.06; to be able to recognize more blank media) but the LG site recommends that the drive (dvd) be located on the secondary ide channel.
I already tried to uninstall every channel from the device manager but all would still be the same after reboot, dvd drive on primary, hard drive on secondary.
Current ide mode in BIOS is set to AHCI+IDE mode, DMA modes are fine (UDMA4 for dvd, UDMA5 for hard drive), boot sequence (1st=HD, 2nd=DVD, 3rd=Floppy drive)
Tried switching to IDE mode only in BIOS but would not detect the optical drive. Never tried RAID+IDE mode since I only have a single hard drive.
I'm not sure but if I try to update the firmware, it might instead try to update the hard drive's firmware instead of the optical drive and make the hard drive unusable.
I would like to know if anybody with this same situation was able to successfully update the optical drive's firmware or is there some way to place the optical drive on the secondary ide channel and the hard drive on primary for me to follow and replicate the process.
    Thank you for any replies.

Thanks sir NovJoe for the reply.
Just received the solution from another forum where I posted the same problem.
They said that the flash program for the firmware will detect the drive on its own and would not flash other devices except the optical drive itself. So its pretty safe, and I can confirm this since I just flashed my ODD a little over a while ago and everything went fine. No errors.
Though I'm speaking for the brand of ODD I own and may be different for other brands so take precautions as well. It may be different for the others.

  • How to increase the memory for my weblogic server in Jdeveloper 12.1.2.0.0 ?

    Hey everyone,
So as my title says, i'm trying to increase the memory for my weblogic server in my windows 7 64 bit machine, with 8GB ram.
The values appear to be: JAVA Memory arguments: -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m
I've done some search from this forum and i've added this to my jdev.conf:
AddVMOption  -XX:MaxPermSize=1536M (in this one i've only changed the value)
    AddVMOption -Xmx1536M
    AddVMOption -Xms1536M
And i've changed this: MEM_ARGS="-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m" in my startNodeManager.sh file
I'm still getting the same line in my server but i need to change the values since i'm not getting the server to run my application very well (it gets stucked in loading my databases and graphs) and i think it will continue untill i get a heap exception error.
Any ideas of how to change this?
    Regards,
    Frederico.

    Thanks Alejandro .
I'm going to ask you another question and this one is quite important.
Whenever i run my project a couple of times, i'm not able to retrieve the page, it just gets stuck on loading.
It just stops the loading, like its a really really slow page. I'm not using a lot of rows in my database so i don't take to much memory but it doesn't load and i know everything is fine but i just added some graphs after testing it.
    Do you know why?
In the console it says that everything is fine and shows the link for the page but it never loads completely until it gives a error because it does not respond in 600 seconds.
    Strange right?

This is a rather important issue, I have seen another post with a similar problem.
While not being a show-stopper it certainly raises concerns.
The application works ok until the application exits (in both development and
    executable form)
Apparently this did not happen with Tux 7.1
It does with 8, I do not have 7.1 so I have no workaround.

  • Something is eating the memory!

I used to have 30g of memory, and today I only have 500mb!
I got my first message: 'Your start up disk is almost full' yesterday.
Over the past few months something has slowly been eating it. I upgraded to Panther a good 6 months ago and also downloaded Office:Mac. I have a couple of third party games on the system, such as GameHouse. Could any of these have given me a bug that eats the memory?
    Please help!
    Cheers,
    Maria

Hello Adam ( or Maria )
Running a disk with so little space is asking for trouble. A minimum of 10 - 15% is generally considered the safe level of free space.
I would strongly suggest that you ditch some file you know can be easily replaced. ( Music for example ) Repair permissions from disk utilities, re-start, then download this Application to tell you what has eaten all the space...

  • View questions regarding the Satellite A205-S5859

I would like to know the following:
    1. Is there a problem with the speakers from it first use. The sound volume degrades. You have to set it to 100.
    2. Can I upgrade the onboard video to a dedicated video ?
    3. What's the maximum memory for this model ? Where is the memory chip located ?

A friend of mine has a A200 notebook. Its not A205 but very similar. The A205 is designed for the US market and the A200 for the European market.
So finally I can provide some suggestions regarding the point:
    1) Any sound volume issues are not known to me Everything is working ok.
    2) No, the graphic card upgrade is definitely not possible
    3) I presume this info can be found in the user manual. Did you check this??
But I think there is a possibility for a upgrade to 4GB RAM. But I would not recommend upgrading the RAM to 4GB due to the 32bit OS limitation. All 32bit OSs can handle max 3.2GB RAM.
Finally the position of the memory slots; I think its at the bottom of the unit.

  • N81: "Memory full" even formatted the memory card

    Hi.
Using N81, I get the "Memory full. Delete some data" message every time (when turning on the mobile, when trying to install any app, when trying to uninstall any app, ...).
I've formatted the memory card, and I've got:
    - Capacity: 1947 MB
    - Used: 1 MB
    - Free: 1946 MB
but continue getting the same error.
Any similar experience? I reset the mobile (*#7370# and *#7780#) but I don't experience any change (I've deleted the time and settings, but not the memory issues).
Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi bilbaow,
    Thank you for your post.
What I recommend you try is to re-installing your firmware and see if this make a difference. You can do this via Nokia suite through tools and update.
If after this is still isn't working when you did a hard reset (*#7370#) did you back and restore? If you did do the hard reset but don't restore, do still experience the same issue?

    Hi,
I am now developing application in java with oracle as a back-end. In my application i require lot of queries to be executed. Hence, the system is getting is slow due to queries.
