Regarding UWL

Hi,
Can anyone suggest me regarding the configuration of UWL?
I had created a system w.r.t to the UWL and everything configured..Now i find the mails of the inbox are seen only when i have the super admin role....But this should not be case of the users...right?
Can any one suggest am i missing any authorizations or any roles?

Hi,
I think for this no need to do anything with XML.
U integrate the backend with UWL.
We can also raise the tasks from backend if we integrate the UWL system with the backend system.

Issue regarding UWL tasks

Hello All,
User A has substituted User B in the worklist. When User A tries to view the "Items on behalf of" - User B, he is able to see the items. But after 10 mins, these workitems disapper and messgae "No item to display" is shown. If User A closes the worklist and opens again he is able to view the items for User B.
From backend, workitem are visible from SWI5 as well as SBWP. These workitem are not even actioned upon to disappear.
Please let us know what could be the issue.

Regarding UWL workitems

Hello Experts,
We have created Customer workflow in SRM system and was trying to approve the same via Enterprise Portal.
We have done all the required configurations and we are not getting the workitems waiting for approval in the UWL.
Unfortunately, tasks which are completed are visible in the Portal UWL.
When we tried previewing the standard UWL iView from Portal content we are able to see all the In Progress workitems.
The same is not visible in the UWL assigned to the Portal role.
We believe this should be some sort of permission issue.
Any pointers in this regards is much appreciated.

Regarding UWL Customization

Hi,
I am trying to do the UWL customization. There are 4 major Tasks we are using and we need to Group them either by filter or the task name should be shown in the dropdown. Say for Example if there is a task for Vacancy REquisition, I need to see the "Vacancy Requisition" in the dropdown list or in the filter so that user can see all the VR related Workitems in the UWL. Likewise I want to group other three similar items. Any help on this is highly appreciated.

Regarding UWL Inbox

   I am trying to configure UWL ,I want to show only 2 items in uwl which are custom webdynpro items,to be checked whether a condition can be added to the UWL config to show only 2 items.i want to know whether it can be done from UWL or it can be done from SAP R3 workflow.

Hi Vinay,
As I understand from your question, you need the 2 workitems to be shown in the uwl and further you want to show these 2 workitems in the task tab with all the other tabs removed.
If you want to maintain the task tab you can do modifications to the standard.xml. In the standard.xml file search for the NavigationNode tab(at the end of the file). There you will find <b>NavigationNode name="alert2"</b>, <b><NavigationNode name="notification2"</b> etc . So you can delete all these tags and the ones which follow them till the following code
<NavigationNode name="MainTabs" view="" referenceGroup="" referenceBundle="universal_worklist">
      <NavigationNode name="WorkTab" view="" referenceGroup="UWL_GLOBAL_NAV" referenceBundle="work"/>
      <NavigationNode name="TrackTab" view="" referenceGroup="UWL_TRACK" referenceBundle="track"/>
      <NavigationNode name="StartTab" view="" referenceGroup="UWL_START" referenceBundle="start"/>
    </NavigationNode>
But be careful while deleting and maintain the other closing tabs of NavigationNode.
Another simpler approach to remove all the tabs is by going to the uwl view and setting the property 'UWL Navigation Style' to none. By doing this you will get rid of all the tabs.

UWL Help - How can i create my own task within the Enterprise Portal

Dear all,
I am currently working with UWL .
I have tried the customization and those stuffs associated with UWL , and it is working properly.
My current issue is , how can create my own task within the Portal ( not using Ad Hoc Workflow , which is present in Portal) ?.
If i can create my own task within portal by API or using another method , then How can i add that task link within the drop down box that is present in the Collaboration launch pad and Mytask Workset.?
Is there any API regarding UWL (which is useful for creation of custom tasks in Portal using Developer Studio by means of Portal Application Creation) ?
How can i add that custom task in the drop down ?.
I have tried the customization of existing UWL.
I shall be grateful to those who can help me to solve this issue with links regarding the solution of my problem's.

I am trying to do the same thing. When i am creating Collaboration Task, it has standard templates in the dropdown like "Single Step" and "Multi-Step" etc., If i want to create my own Custom Task Template and display in that dropdown, how can i do that? Your help is really appreciated.

SRM7.0 Workitem is not showing in Manager WorkOverview(UWL)

Hi Experts,
Work items are not showing in Manager->Work Overview->Task though it is available in SAP inbox for SRM 7.0.
Regarding UWL configuration i have done bellow things:
1. Created a system connector with SAP_SRM Alias
2. Registered it.
But the workitem is not showing in the Manager WorkOverview task tab.
One more thing, when i checked the system connection (SAP Web AS Connection) form System Landscape, i got error message saying...
6. The Web AS ping service https://saprst00.freescale.net:1443/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.
7. An HTTP/S connection to https://saprst00.freescale.net:1443/webdynpro was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall
I think may be this is one of the reason why work item is not appearing in the manager tab.
Please guide me how can i solve above issues..

I have checked the SAP inbox with transaction SWI5, and for the particular user(with admin right) there is a Task TS10008126 with work item id 6407635.
Now when i checked in the transaction SWI1 with the above work item id it shows the below information..

UWL - open item in new window

If I click any UWL item I want it to be opened in new window and not in the main portal window. How to achieve this?

That is possible! Please check SAP documentation regarding UWL configuration - you can download it from service.sap.
In the UWL XML configuration file (webflow) you can specify that the related item should be opened in a new window:

404 Resource Not Found In UWL for Display Request in Travel Management

Issue regarding Uwl in Travel Management.In Mss inbox when approver clicks on display form for travel request its throwing error like 404 resource not found.

In relation to the scenario that you have described you mentioned that:
Once a user (via the MSS Inbox) clicks on the display form for travel request you are encountering a 404 resource not found error.
Ok so the first means of analysis is to ensure the UWL Destination Service Configuration is setup and maintained accordingly. Kindly review and consult the documentation below carefully.
SAP Note: 1133821 - UWL Destination Service configuration
After ensuring the destination(s) are setup accordingly and if the issue persists kindly restart the UWL service and clear the UWL cache to see if that resolves the issue.
In the destination configuration kindly ensure there are no discrepancies or misconfigurations.
Now have you navigated to your current connector setup and viewed the status columns to see if there are any exceptions appearing?
Lastly kindly check if the URL being called (at the request page) is correct.
Kindly update me as per your findings.

Hi All,
I am having one issue regarding UWL work item.
For one user, after clicking UWL link from detail navigation. he is able to see the UWL in his content area. In the table he is able to see the work item and after clicking the work item he is not able to see any thing, content area become blank.
He suppose to get pop window for the work item above the UWL page, but content area it self become blank.

Hi yogesh,
Check the block type that you have used.
This thing will happen only when you use a parallel block.
In your case you have to use a sequential block.
I suppose this solves your problem.

Universal worklist- search people

I need inputs/suggestions regarding UWL people picker enhancements
Currently we are on EP 7.02 SP 7 version, and planning to upgrade to support pack 12.
So we saw a wiki on UWL people picker enhancements on Sp12.

It explains about activating UME company properties, currently we don't have.
We have two clients integrated to same Portal and user base is LDAP.
We use user administration in Portal only to assign Portal roles to LDAP groups.
Coming to current config of restricting Users while creating the substitution,
We defined trusted attribute "department" in system admin-->km content management repository-->Manage UME object settings, and assigned Users with a protal role having UME action searchrestircted to allow Users to search the User details from the same department while creating substitution.
Current configuration which I explained above will not work if we upgrade our Portal to SP12?
So, for the UWL people picker enhancement,Company concept needs to be activated and is mandatory? if that is correct,
setting UME company properties will create company groups, how we need to tag the LDAP users to this company groups?
Can we assign tam groups to company groups, so that respective clients can see the User details of the same client while creating substitution rule?
Please provide your thoughts and suggestions.

Not blank line, but additional line which will be looking same as like the actual item from catalog and few field's values need to changed in that additional line.
The actual requirement is something like, we are procuring item using vendor catalog and for shipping those items, we are trying to add an line item in the same SC with constant vendor and price. Apart from vendor and price, all the details like account assignment and other details are same with the actual catalog item.
