Hi Experts,
I would like to Know regarding..
Oracle Data Integrator Companion 11gR1 (11.1.1.7.0)
Includes: Oracle Data Integrator Application Adapters for Hadoop, Oracle Applications, SAP ERP and BW (Hadoop is Newly added when compared with the older versions)
Which i found in the oracle downloads link and so i want to know the below points
1) What is the use of Oracle Data Integrator Companion 11gR1 (11.1.1.7.0)
2) if it is something like an additional adapter tool to be installed to access, where and how we need to install.
I would like to get the complete details and usage of this particular Oracle Data Integrator Companion 11gR1 (11.1.1.7.0).
Request you to kindly guide me..
Awaiting your inputs.
Many Thanks,
Pavan KumarHi Pavan,
Oracle Data Integrator Companion 11gR1 (11.1.1.7.0) contains additional adapters for use with Hadoop, SAP etc which does not come with normal installation. However, you will need license for industry use of these adapters. This is especially good for a developer. However for server installs you must use one of the normal installers which additionally comes with Java EE agent capabilities which may not be the case with Companion.
Speaking of Installation procedure, this works with a simple extraction of the zip file and does not come with an installer.
Additionally, it comes with ODI Demo Environment with a local HSQL repository which can be used for training and learning purposes.
Functionally, for a developer there is no difference between normal and companion install.

Hello Experts,
What are the design and configured steps in XI with BW 3.5 Integration?
Thank youHi! Ravi
I think the above contirbutors has give some links hence here I want to explain the steps to be done while sending Data from XI to BW..
In the mean time check the below link...
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/18dfe590-0201-0010-6b8b-d21dfa9929c9
Steps:
SLD and IR part
1. First Create RFC Destination between XI and BW.
2. First Create SLD Objects like Products and Software Component Version, and Technical Systems and
Business Systems....and then Import those to IR and ID
3. Now Create Sender DT, MT, MI and no need of creating Receiver Side ok
4. Now Import coresponding RFC and do Message and Interface Mappings.
ID:
1. Now after importing Business Systems create 2 Communication channels
1. Sender as FILE :
File parameters:
Adapter Type = File
Transport Protocol= File NFS / FTP (lets take FTP)
Message Protocol=File
Adapter Engine=IS
FILE ACCESS PARMETERS:
Source Directory= you FTP Source Sender location ( Create one path in FTP location Pick the files and
also anotehr to Archive also)
File Name= XXXXXXXX ( please make sure that no spaces and the file you are placing in this path should
be same as given in this CC)
Processing Prameters
QOS: If it s Asynchronous means EXACTLY ONCE
Poll Interval = its your choice based on the req (Lets =10/20)
Processing Mode= Delete
Pleasse note that you are selecting an option Delete so that it can delete the file once after the file is picked
also by selecting Archive Dierectory radio button and enter the Archive path so that it nmay delete there and save a copy here in this path ok
Now enter Authentification Details
i.e., FTP Server path
USer Name :
PWD*********** REtype PWD****************
Port No:**
now select Active
2. RFC Communication Channel:
Adapter Type=RFC
Receiver
TP=RFC
MP=RFC(RFC
Enter Application Server name and
System NO
Authentification Details of BW and
Cleint Details
now select Active..
remaining Agreements and Determinations are same....
Finally Activate all of you IR and ID objects..
Testing:::
Note:: Before placing the file in FTP make sure that your FTP path has RWX red and write access permission ....
logon to FTP and place the XML document as the same name as which you have given in your Sender CC without spaces........in the FTP Source Directory path
and press REFRESH..
based on the poll interval it will pikcs and delete there and keep and maintain a copy in the archvie directory
Note:: WHile configuring the sender File CC please select ADD TIME STAMP..so that it may enter with time and date while archiving..
Now Go to SXMB_MONI....and check the status whether it s SUCESS or ERROR flag
if it is sucess....
MAIN POINTS PLEASE REMEMBER
1. Logon on to BW System..
2. Enter Tcode: RSA7
note your RFC and check no of messages if it is previously 6 and after sending it will add one and show as 7
means your Job is over at this part later BW team will check and invoke that data...
If it is ERROR flag:
Go to RWB -Message Moni and check where teh mEssae fails I mean either at Integration ENgne level or adapter Engine level adn check the AUDIT LOG at both the levels..
you canalso check this at Communication channel monitorinng...........
or else if it as queues go to
SMQ1 and SMQ2 and release the queues..

Doubts-Regarding Cisco unity integration
One of our client is planing to add cisco unity to the setup. Currently we dont have an AD or exchange for them in our premise as its an offshore development center.
Our CUCM is 7.1 and Unity is 7, which is going to be installed on VMWare
As am newly appointed and am not aware about Unity.. can anyone throw some light on this regarding,
1, Steps for Unity installation on VMWare
2, How to go ahead like what all requirements i have to put in front of the client, like AD and Exchange.
I read that voice messages are stored in Exchange, so in that case, is AD mandatory?
Also am not able to get a full idea on working of Unity.. if some one can share some documents, it would be really grateful..
Regards
TTTT,
I hope that you have adequate time and equipment to practice on before building this live. Unity is one of the more complicated applications when you get started with it. Fortunately, the documentation on getting Unity on line is plentiful. You must ensure you read the installation guide thoroughly.
Here are the Cisco Unity install guides:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/prod_installation_guides_list.html
Start in the 7.x section but please note that the 5.x install guides are used for 7x installs as well.
Design guide for Unity virtualization:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity/virtualization_design/guide/cuvirtualdgx.html
I don't know if you have options, but I would recommend that if you are looking to do a new build that you look at Unity Connection instead of Unity. Unity Connection is getting the bulk of Cisco's development investment. Unity is being maintained but don't expect it to get new features.
HTH.

Query regarding SAP XI - Integration Builder
Can any one pls explain the diffrence between business service and a business system. On what basis do we choose either one of these.
Regards,
BharathHi,
what is a Business system? What is use of creating it?-->
Business System have an entry in the SLD and Buiness Service do not.
Business Systems are used when you are sending data to and from an R3 system and can be of ABAP, JAVA and Third Party Types.
Business System is a logical representation of a Technical System.
Business Service is a abstract representation of a System. For instance, www.google.com have a several system working together and IPs of this machines change eventually. When we use a Business Services like google we reference a computer that we don't know the phisical implementation.
Business Service and Business System difference-
What is the difference between Business System and Business Service?

Seibel Integration with WebCenter
Hi,
I have a portal PDK application in JDeveloper 11.1.15.0. I wish to get data from Seibel through WebCenter into JDeveloper. How do I do that?
Thanks. There are a couple of older 10.1.3 tutorials on using ADF with Siebel here:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/fmw4apps/siebel/index.html
Combine this with a newer ADF Web service data control tutorial like this one:

And you'll have the basics. -

Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R/3
I am working with a customer implementing Oracle EBS Release 12.2.
The customer has implemented SAP for financial modules and the oracle solution considers an EBS - SAP Integration for Receivables. Does anyone have any experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP? Can you give us some guidance regarding EBS - SAP Integration best practices?
We have found a paper regarding Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3. We would like to have some information about what are the Oracle products we can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3.
In case Oracle EBS can integrate with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter, we would like to know if anyone has experience integrating Oracle EBS Receivables with SAP using Oracle Integration Adapter for SAP R3 for AR transactions and Receipts?
Any help would be very much appreciated.Thank you veyr much Manoj for your reply. I just tried it now buit no fruits.
I wonder if it can really be due to privileges given to my account, which allows to connect thru SAP Front-end but does not allow to connect by any other means. I can not think of any other possible reason. -
Hi all,
Can any body please provide me link to some blog / tutorials which could give me the entire understanding about integration Directory. For example when is the business system used, what are the steps invloved in configuring various scenarios.
Any help will be appriciated.
Thanks and best regards,
KulwantHi Kulwant,
Regarding to the Integration Directory..
First according to the scenario u have to decide whether to use a party, service without party in which it contains business system, business service , business scenario..
The creation of Objects will be like this ...
*Communication Party or Service
Communication Channel
Receiver Determination
Interface Determaination
Sender Agreement
Receiver Agreement*
Business scenario is used when a scenario is developed using BPM's
Based on your needs, you can select from the following service types:
Business System: Address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system
(service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software
component versions of the business system. The business system services are used when
configuring internal company processes.
Business Service: Address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies
involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces. The business services are used when
configuring cross-company processes.
Business Process or Integration Process Service: Address an integration process as the sender or receiver of messages.
Prerequisites
The business system must be entered in the SLD.
A communication party has been created.
1Create Business System as Service with Party
Procedure
1. In the Configuration: Integration Builder, navigate to Objects tab.
2. Expand Party.
3. Right-click on Business System and choose Assign Business System.
4. In Business System Wizard, skip the step 1 Introduction by choosing Continue.
5. In step 2 Assign Party, for example, enter Buyer.
6. In step 3, select systems from the list that you want to define as the business system
service.
7. Choose Finish.
Create Business Service as Service with Party
Procedure
1. In the Configuration: Integration Builder, navigate to Objects tab.
2. Expand Party.
3. Right-click on Business Service and choose New.
4. In the Create Object Wizard, choose a communication party. For example, select
Seller.
5. Enter a service name, for example, PCK_Service.
6. Enter a description for the service.
7. Choose Create and Save.
After Creating the Systems u need to choose the Adapter based on the scenario.. we call this as communication channel, and we shuld configure the communication channel to fetch the file from the source and to drop the files to the target directory..
Then it should follow with Logical Routing and Collaboration Agreements..
Logical Routing consists with Receiver Determination and Interface Determination
Collaboration Agreements consists with Sender Agreement and Receiver Agreement..
In Receiver Determination u have to specift the what are all the receivers that are going to receive the message and u have a provision of delivering the message based on the payload by using an option of condition editor.
In Interface determination u will be specifying the Interface mapping which was developed in the design in between Outbound and Inbound Interfaces
In Sender agreement we give the communication channel which is developed in the sender side w.r.t the business system/service.
In Receiver agreement we give the communication channel which is developed in the receiver side w.r.t the business system/service.
for further clarifiction revert back with the queries..

Training, Time and Payroll Integration
Hi
We are currently implementing SAP HCM in ECC 6.00 SP60
Could you please clarify the following queries:
1. How can i pay Internal Instructor / Trainer for few Business Events through Payroll.
When i create a internal trainer for a Business Event, automatically attendance type gets recorded in IT2002 based on below mentioned configuration, unfortunately for all business events only one attendance type for instructor and attendee gets recorded in IT2002
SEMIN AINST 0001 Attendance type for instructor in T554S
SEMIN APART 0002 Attendance Type for Attendance in T554S
But is there any way where i can send different attendance types for different Business Events for a instructor /Trainer? So that in payroll i can query on the attendance type in IT2002 and pay him depending upon the attendance type.
Else
Is there any other way where i can pay the internal trainer automatically from TEM to Payroll?

How to Integrate Seibel with ADF ?
Hi All,
JDev Ver : 11.1.1.5
We need some Information about Seibel integration with ADF
So for we use to Integrate Seibel with the help of Web Services. We need the Is there any other approach for the Integration ?
I have gone through below link and got some information about JCA adapter, and URI based approach. If we use this, how to implement in the development part,
http://siebel-essentials.blogspot.com/2011/02/first-encounter-with-sai-ofm.html
We don’t know exactly how to do the implementation like if you want to retrieve/update some values to Seibel from Jdeveloper ADF using the above approach.
Is there any other approach for the Seibel integration with ADF ?
Thanks,
GopinathThe blog you point to seem to show an example of using a REST service exposed by Siebel.
ADF allows you to create data controls based on REST services and then build the UI on top of them through the URL data control.
See step 4 of this tutorial:
