Regd SearchPayment integration in Siebel to Oracle BRM PIP
In the Siebel CRM Integration Pack for Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management: Agent Assisted Billing Care 2.5 there is a an integration flow called SearchPayment.
The EBS is given as CommunicationReceivedPaymentEBS and the operation is SearchPayment. However in the ReceivedPaymentEBS.wsdl there is no operation called SearchPayment. Can anyone please tell where this SearchPayment operation is present?
Hi Ramesh,
Please go through EAI volumes from Bookshelf. Focus should be on the Web Services piece.
regards,
Ramkumar

Oracle BI Publisher 10x/11x Integration with Siebel CRM 8.2 Release
Hello Gurus,
We are in the process of implementing Siebel (8.2) Public Sector for one of our client and in term s of reporting we have decided to use latest version of OBIEE and BI Publisher and thus decided to go ahead with implementing BI Apps 7.9.6.3 combined package of (OBIEE 11.1.1.6, BI Publisher, Informatica 9.x, DAC 10.1.3.4.1 with hot fix).
There is My Oracle Support (MOS) article # 1172844.1 (titled ‘Supporting Documentation for Siebel Reports by Product Version’) which explains that Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.2 version supports Siebel CRM release 8.2.
Due to the limitations of the Oracle BI Publisher usage as per the Oracle support documentation, we need to make use of OBIEE 10g version for BI Publisher for integrating with Siebel 8.2 release and we need to also use OBIEE 11g for the main reporting and henceforth we end up maintaining 2 servers for reporting in our environment.
Does Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.5 or 11.1.1.6 version cannot be integrated with Siebel 8.2? Is this not supported version with Seibel 8.2 version?
Oracle BI Publisher architecture in 10g is different when compared to OBIEE 11g version and does it make any impact if we go ahead with 2 different versions pointing to pull the data from the OLTP source ( Siebel) ?
I am looking out for exact approach to be followed for reporting requirements for this kind of scenario ?
Help me with your inputs and suggestions on this.
Thanks
Praveenhi Praveen,
Did you got any answer for this?
Cheers,

Can BPEL be used to Integrate Siebel with Infranet (BRM) ?
Hello,
I would like to know if it would be possible with the use of adapters to integrate Siebel CRM with Oracle BRM (Portal Infranet) please? I saw there is adapter for CRM but no adapter for BRM out there. Or maybe i am not looking in the right direction?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
ThanksOracle is working on an integration layer (believe its called FIRM for COM). Check with your Oracle rep. for information on this

Hi,
I would like to know how BPEL can be integrated with Siebel. I Read how it could be done in Peoplesoft but can anyone provide any inputs on how it could be done in Siebel. Any kind of documentation in this would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advanceHi,
The best way is probably using our Siebel Adapter which is actually the iWay adapter, You can find a tutorial in the adapters section in OTN. Search for it in Oracle or Google.
You can also use Siebel EAI interfaces and sends the Siebel Business Object XML representation. They can call a BPEL process from their workflow, because their workflow can call web services (but only rpc web services). You can call Sieble in several ways I think. I've used their HTTP interface which is not very pretty but it works....

Is there a Java SDK for Siebel Analytics/Oracle BI
Hi, I want to integrate with Siebel Analytics (now known as Oracle Business Intelligence, right?) to our product. Is there a JAVA SDK for Siebel Analytics/Oracle BI? If so, can anyone point me to the right place to get them. Much appreciated.
There is currently no JDK or any other API to work with OBI EE (formerly Siebel Analytics).
The presentation component exposes some functionality via web services.
You can interact with the BI Server via NQCMD so you could build your own application that executes NQCMDs but this is not well documented other than typing NQCMD ? at the command line.
The OBI Metadata is captured in a .rpd file which can be manipulated via UDML but this is not supported - do a search on Google for UDML (which is a proprietary format) for some examples on using this. OWB recently rolled out with some integration with OBI - it accomplishes this by manipulating the .rpd file using UDML.
The Oracle folks monitor this forum. If you can reply with some specifics as to what you want to accomplish, I'm sure they will consider your needs if they decide to publish an API. -

My research tells me it has to do with dm_oracle start up and below :

# dm_shmsize
# (UNIX only) Specifies the size of shared memory segment, in bytes, that
# is shared between the front ends and back ends for this DM.
#========================================================================
# dm_bigsize

Any other clues leads to resolve the issue helps.

Oracle BRM / Win 7 Pro x64 / PIN_ERR_DM_CONNECT_FAILED:26
Hello all
I'm trying to install Oracle BRM but when running pin_setup.bat I have the output below.
I tried on Win 7 Pro x64 and on Windows XP Pro.
I also tried to see if there were any connection attempt when the errors "pcmdd: bad connect for PCWORK, errno 9" is shown, using Wireshark, but it seems that there is no connection attempt when this message is printed to the output.
As the error is exactly the same on Win 7 Pro and Win XP Pro, I think that this is not an operating system problem.
Do you know what I am doing wrong ?
Thanks

Integrating Google Maps in Oracle Apex and 404 Not found error page
Currently using APEX version 3.2.0.00.27 installed in OracleXE version 10.2.0.1.0. Have been attempting to recreate some examples of Google Maps within APEX. Found a nice set of examples here that build up to what I'm looking to ultimately do by incorporating google maps into APEX:
http://blog.whitehorses.nl/2009/10/04/integrating-google-maps-in-oracle-apex/
Unfortunatly, I'm getting the "404 Not Found, Not found, The requested URL /apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server" page when I try to recreate the "Map with Search" example. I'd like to see if this really works using the html input and button tags in the body/region source versus creating APEX items to pass the address values to the javascript in the html header of the apex page. I'm thinking it's just an html thing within APEX that you have to do it a certain way, but I haven't managed to hit that magic combination. have gone to the google maps api v2 and looked at the html they use (it's what these examples with apex are based on) and tried that just to see. Same 404 result.
I've seen suggestions at this forum and elsewhere that the 404 error is due to a bug. have been to metalink, and really haven't seen anything that spells out what the bug is and how to patch it or work around it. May be I just haven't found the right note/doc yet. have seen suggestions to change something associated with the Anonymous account that APEX uses. Have turned on authentication in the application to use an APEX user account with a logon page to the application. Still get the 404. Although, I have not adjusted anything elsewhere, like a DADS config file, because the apex/xe configuration is using the plsql gateway. Not sure of any procedure for changing settings on anonymous account when using plsql gateway.
Open to suggestions. APEX 3.2 is customer version, so going to 4 may not be an option yet. XE, on the other hand, can certainly be swapped for an 11g version standard or enterprise edition if need be. I don't think this is a db version problem though. I think it's more on the APEX side of things.
Anyway, any help or suggestions are appreciated.
thanks

Integrating mod_plsql reports with Oracle Apps. A maddening dilemma.
I'm hoping there is some guru out there that has the perfect solution to this maddening dilemma I'm facing.
The crux of the issue is this.
I've created mod_plsql reports that can accept a session_id with which they can set a user context based on global application contexts set in Oracle applications by users as they log in.
At this juncture, I have not figured out a way to call those mod_plsql reports from Oracle apps using a variable session_id as defined for the user when they logged into apps.
My client want to be able to log into Oracle apps and then go to the mod_plsql reports from the Oracle Apps menu and maintain the user session, so that the mod_plsql reports are run using VPD to constrain access to the data they are displaying to that specific user.
The client does not have Single Sign On installed nor OID.
I had hoped to pass a variable parameter session_id from the defined menu function that would call the mod_plsql url, but I don't see any way to pass a variable there and am becoming convinced that doing so is not an option. Can anyone confirm this?
An alternate option I'm considering that seems like it would work is to create a JSP page that gets called from a menu function. In that JSP page, I would retrieve the session_id set in apps based on the context for the user_id that I could retrieve from fnd_global.user_id and assemble a URL with the session_id that the page would then re-route to the mod_plsql page.
Unfortunately, I'm not versed in JSP.
How hard would it be to create the sort of page that I'm talking about?
Would the JSP need to part of OAF?
Can anyone think of any other options that would take care of the issue I'm dealing with?
Thanks.

Intergration of Oracle BRM with BI Publisher
Hi All,
I want to integrate Oracle Billing & revenue Mangemnet System with BI publisher.
Is there any way to do so?
also Is there any way BI publisher will Poll Oracle BRM all the time.

amitHi Krish,
Your list is correct, there are only standard BIP reports for RMS. Seems like a local initiative.

Outbound Integration in Siebel CRM On Demand
As we know that only Inbound integration is possible in Siebel CRM on Demand.Has anybody ever done outbound integration in Siebel CRM on demand using Integration event or using ASP?
Please repond soon.Hi Max,
Thanks for your reply.
I have built a workflow.
Name : SH
Record Type : Contact
Trigger Event : When New record saved.
Then created action .
Name : Outbound Integration
type : Integration Event
I select 'Track Changes' for two fields named : First Name and Last Name as it will save changes in a file whenever any new record saved.
Then I went to Webservice Administration and downloaded zip file for Integration event wsdl. Also I downloaded wsdl file for contact.
There are few points where I am stuck.
1) In pdf, they talked about one xml file which will save all changes whenever any new contact record saved because it is created as Integration Event.
Which file is this?(Integration Event.wsdl???)
2) Should I use any of the above downloaded wsdl files to create webservice in siebel as I am doing integration b/w Siebel ondemand and Siebel CRM??
Can you give me a glimpse of the program to ping the queue ?Where do I need to write code in CRM on Demand?Which changes do I need to do in SIebel CRM?
Thanks for your help. -
Siebel and Oracle Ebiz sharing the same DB
Can Siebel and Oracle Ebusiness suite link up with the same database?
Any pointers to this, i would someone would have tried this out with consolidating multiple Oracle applications.
Any documentation available on this should be of great help.
Thanks in Advance.Ebusiness suite has very specific requirements for parameters, database versions, tablespace naming, patch level, and cloning. I have not installed Siebel, but I suspect it would have it's own requirements which will be different from Ebus.
I think it is very likely you will run into conflicts between the requirements of the two applications. Maybe not today, but definitely during the next patch or upgrade.
For vendor applications it is better to keep them in their own databases to avoid requirements conflicts.
You could open an SR with Oracle Support to ask if they will support a database with both applications installed. -
