Register an already registered server pool

Hi,
I reinstalled the OracleVM manager (v. 2.1.1) and i lost all data about old registered servers and vm's.
The OracleVM Server is running ok, and also the vm on it. But I can't manage them because when i try to add the server pool it through an error:
"Failed to register one or more servers in the server pool. Rolling back changes. Possible cause: One or more servers are already registered in another server pool or unreachable."
Please if anyone knows how to register again the server pool I'll appreciate his help very much.
Thx.

I had a similar problem when I reinstalled VM manager without deleting the pool first.
What worked for me was to make a different server the utility server. I think the reason is that when you setup the utility server, it creates iso_pool, running_pool, seed_pool, etc. underneath /OVS. My utility server had that structure under /OVS, but my other servers had nothing. Just choosing a different server to be utility server could fix your issue.
Alternatively, you could try "rm -rf /OVS/*" but I'm not sure if that would work or not.
Anybody have a little more insight about what happens when create/delete a server pool?
This project needs better documentation... Thanks

  • What happens if one tries to register an already registered IMEI?

I got my iPAD 2 stolen this week. I am wondering whether it is possible to someone to register my iPad IMEI after a factory reset.
Another question, iTunes and Find my iPhone apps will still link the iPAD as being my iPAD or will it be linked to the computer where the iPAD was connected first time and then to the person who registered it after a factory reset?
    Thanks,

  • OVM-2008 The Server Pool Master has been registered with some other pool

I am getting this error, while creating my first ever server-pool.
Check prerequisites to create server pool (First-Pool) failed: (OVM-2008 The Server Pool Master (172.16.0.37) has been registered with some other pool, and can not register it again.)
Any idea what can be going wrong?
    regards, Yora

The only time I've seen this is when the server really has been registered with another pool. You need to clean out the local ovs-agent database at */etc/ovs-agent/db* and restart the agent.

  • Virtual server is already managed by another virtual server pool

I was trying to register a server to a server pool on OEM 10.2.0.5 console, on the first try it never completed the registration, it errored out. After doing 'clear operation error' I try to register the same server, Now I get "virtual server is already managed by another virtual server pool". Does any one ran into similar situation? How do I clear this? Thank you.

    # service ovs-agent stopThen, remove the local ovs-agent database:
    # rm -rf /etc/ovs-agent/db Then, start the agent again:
    # service ovs-agent startThe agent will now be reset back to an unconfigured state.

  • Forcing a device to register with another UCM Server

We have a Call Manager 6.1.3 and we are trying to move the servers from one data center to a new one.
I looked at the primary UCM server and found approximately 20 devices registered witht the seconday server. I want to know how to force them over to the proimary server before we shut the secondary down.

You need to modify the CallManager Group of those phone's Device Pool (move the backup/secondary server on top of
the primary server) and reset them. Remember that a CallManager Group is a prioritized list of Callmanager that phones use to register.
Now, you don't need to force them before shutting down the primary server, those phones will register immediately to the backup server when you shutdown its primary.

Looks like your server object is already bound and registered and your trying to re-register the same...
is that a corba server? if yes, you'd be able to check that with the NamingService tools

The WAP54G's repeater mode essentially sets up the 2nd access point as an extender of the main (root) access point. Since you will be extending the signal, you will need to configure the same wireless settings on both devices. SSIDs, channels, security settings need to be identical. Do set a STATIC IP address for your APs. If your network allows you to use the default IP (192.168.1.245) of the AP, you may set the 2nd unit to have an IP address like 192.168.1.246. The APs need to be in the same network.
An essential step in setting up the AP to repeater mode is indicating the main AP's wireless MAC address. This will register the main device to the second AP and will get them to communicate. To get this info, you need to:
    1. Login to the main AP's setup page.
    2. Go to Status.
    3. Click on the Wireless subtab.
    4. Retrieve the MAC address indicated.
Register this info unto the 2nd AP and Save Settings. You may need to reboot the devices to get the connection going. Once the devices are in sync, the client devices should be getting IP addresses assigned by the DHCP server (your DSL modem). To confirm that your setup is operational, you should be able to roam on the network in a location you would not have network access to without the AP on wireless repeater mode.

  • How to see registered mbeans in weblogic server 10.3.3.0 in web console

    Hi ,
I am new in mbeans registration in weblogic. I have written code to registered mbeans in weblogic server 10.3.3.0. And I have successfully configured this through weblogic. I can see my registered mbeans in JConsole. I have referred the below link to get help of registering my mbeans :
    https://blogs.oracle.com/WebLogicServer/entry/developing_custom_mbeans_to_ma
My problem is :_ I can not ask my client to check or do some modification through JConsole. The solution which I was looking for this, If we could get some way to see those registered mbeans through web console such as Weblogic administration console. Is there any way to make this possible ? Do we have any configuration in weblogic server through which I can see my registered mbeans through web console.
Or By goggling, I found we can use JMX console to registered our mbeans. But I do not have any idea how?
I am rigorously looking for help. Thanks in advance who come forward to help me.
    Regards,
    Niraj Kumar Singh

    Niraj,
According to [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/jmxinst/accesscust.html#wp1107240]the docs, you cannot access mbeans through the WLS console. JConsole is a JMX console, so you do know how already :)
If you have Enterprise Manager (aka Fusion Middleware Control) installed in your domain, you can use that to see the mbeans as well.

  • How to re-register a physical machine as pool master.

I have 2 desktops , one of them running OVS2.2 the other VM Manager. I had registered the OVS system as pool master using the VM manager system. Then somehow the machine running VM manager was formatted (reimaged) without removing the pool or pool master etc. Now I have got VM manager installed and running again, but unable to register the OVS system as pool master again. It gives the expected message that is "pool master is registered with some other pool, cannot register it again". How to unregister the OVS server now that the previous installation of VM manager is gone and re-register it as pool master of a new pool ?

    1. Shutdown all the running VMs using the "xm shutdown" command. You may need to use "xm list" to get a list of running VMs.
    2. Shutdown the OVS agent using "service ovs-agent stop"
    3. Delete the local ovs-agent database: "rm -rf /etc/ovs-agent/db"
    4. Startup the OVS agent using "service ovs-agent start"
    5. Register the server with Oracle VM Manager

  • Can I register a new iphone to an apple ID that is already registered to another iphone?

I managed to disable my iphone so went through the process of restoring it, then it asked me to enter my apple ID that was originally used to set up the phone. However it isn't having any of it and says '[email protected] cannot be used to unlock this iphone' so the phone is now pretty much useless.
So i'm planning on buying another iphone 4s but I have a few questions.. Can my CURRENT apple ID be used to register my phone (same ID i've used all along just changed the email) that's already registered on my old iphone or will I have to create a new one? I have no option to delete the current owner settings as I never created an icloud account. thanks for any help!

"am I still able to register another phone to the same ID?"
    Yes.
") that I do end up creating a new apple ID "
This will cause complications.  i do not recommend this.

  • I registered my new iPhone 5s to my usual Apple ID, however it isn't showing in my devices when I log in. I tried to register it by adding a new device, but it tells me it's already registered to a different Apple ID. I'm really not sure how to fix this.

I registered my new iPhone 5s to my usual Apple ID, however it isn't showing in my devices when I log in. I tried to register it by adding a new device, but it tells me it's already registered to a different Apple ID. I'm really not sure how to fix this. I only have the one Apple ID and the phone is brand new, purchased directly from Apple.
When I check on the phone itself (iCloud and App Store settings) the Apple ID is correct. I'm not sure where else to check.
Whilst setting up the phone, it prompted me to register, which I did. Then when connecting to my laptop through iTunes it prompted me again so I registered again. I even got a confirmation email to the email address associated with my Apple ID that the registration was successful.
How can I add my iPhone 5s to the list of devices on the correct Apple ID?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

  • Why can´t I see contacts and calendar events from my iPhone in my mac pro if I already registered it in the cloud?

Why can´t I see contacts and calendar events already registered in my iPhone, in my Mac Pro ?  I already actualize LION OSX   and selected these items in the adjustments menu of the icloud. I could do it just once, after I installed Lion OSX, but up to the moment it does not updates.

Assuming you activated iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud and make sure Calendars and Contacts are set to ON.
