Register mirror lock with timed AEB

Hello!. I have an Canon 5D Mark III. I have programmed C3 for my HDR shots and was wondering if you know if I can program mirror lock-up? Right now I shoot HDR in a bracketed 3-shot timed series: blam-blam-blam....so I was wondering if this can be possible with mirror lock up automatically and if not is there a way to do this? any ideas ...Thanks
I used the registered settings that included the locked mirror but it didn’t fire the bracketed sequence all in one timed shutter release….any ideas?

Vdotmatrix,
When mirror lockup is enabled, regardless of whether or not timed shooting or continuous shooting is set, only single shooting will be used.  It is not possible to shoot a timed continuous series when using mirror lockup.  Each image must be taken individually.

  • Using mat with locked memory timing

If you disable the spd setting so the bios does not mess with the timings, can you still benifit from using mat? Seems like all mat does is tighten the memory, but if you lock the timings, what good is mat?

    you can still benefit mat.
if you lock the timing that mean you do not want to manually adjust or overlock the memory. mat is another internal thing that the motherboard sort itself out.

  • AEB + Mirror Lockup with a 5Dsr

Is it possible to configure a 5Dsr to use mirror lockup and AEB simultaneously? The behavior I want is: 1. Press shutter release button.2. Mirror is raised.3. After the interval selected in mirror lockup the requested number of AEB exposures are made automatically. Is this possible? If so, can someone point me to instructions? It appears from the manual and my testing that if I set both mirror lockup and AEB I must press the shutter release once for each AEB exposure. The best alternative I can think of is to dispense with mirror lockup and use AEB with silent multi-frame drive mode. Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the answer although it is not what I was hoping to hear. There are many times when being able to complete an HDR sequence quickly is important and having to trigger each shot manually is a very slow process. Consider a one second mirror lockup delay and a half second reaction time for each shutter release after the first one. A five shot HDR sequence will take seven seconds ((5 x 1) + (4 x 0.5)). If the camera behaved as I described it would take two seconds, one second for the mirror lockup delay and one second for the five shutter cycles. I may be missing something, but I cannot think of any reason why I would want the camera to behave the way it does instead of the way I described. It is also an incredibly easy feature to implement since all it requires is an if statement at the beginning of the AEB routine to see if mirror lockup is enabled and if so call the mirror lockup function. At the end of the AEB function another if statement would check to see if the mirror is up and, if so, lower it. Am I the only one who would like to see this functionality? Can't you get the same effect with live view? For HDR sequences, you'll be using a tripod anyway, right?

Hi rbcjoker76, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Sounds like some needed System Fonts wre replaced by bad ones. Y also have Font Book in Applications for validating fonts & checking for duplicates.
Required Fonts from 10.3, much the same in 10.4...

You may have to get Pacifist...
    http://www.charlessoft.com/
then intall the Fonts what you need from your Install Disk.
Or do a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

  • How to register a blackberry with the appropriate service provider ?

    Hello,
I've just bought a Pearl 8100. I've inserted my SIM card and the phone is working ok. However I can not send or receive any email and can't access the net. When I bought it, I was told to contact my service provider (Orange - UK) to get the phone set up. That's what I did and I was directed to a web site (w3.blackberry.orange.co.uk) where you have first to register as new user by giving your PIN and IMEI. However I haven't been able to complete the task as a message popped up saying that the phone was already registered with a different service provider and that I had to re-register it with the appropriate one. I personnally never registered the phone before but basically that's what I have to do so I need some help because I have no idea how to do that... Thanks....

How can i make my BB pearl work on Virgin media Email account.
Thanks for any help. i'm totally stuck!!
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You will need to contact your carrier for assistance. Be sure that you have an adequate service plan from them to enable your access to their BIS. Be sure that they can properly register your BB into their BIS. If you obtained your BB second hand, it is quite possible that the prior owner did not release the PIN from the Orange BIS...in which case your new carrier won't be able to create a BIS account for you on their network. And, typically, only the owner of the account (at Orange) will be able to convince Orange to release the PIN from their BIS...
    Good luck!

  • I have found a lost ipad wifi only, locked with passcode ... what now ?

i have found an ipad and i would like to help find the owner but the ipad is locked with a passcode so i cannot connect it to the internet so that owner can find it on find my ipad i have uploaded a pic of the back of the device with the serial number, i have also reported this to the local authorities
    <Edited By Host>

The best thing to do is to turn it in to your local police. Should the owner have reported the iPad as stolen, you could be liable if you hold onto the iPad. If the police have refused to accept the device - and I'd insist on that in writing if they have so you're covered in case of any legal issues - there's not much you can do. Even if the owner registered the device with Apple, Apple will not give you any of the owner's information. Normally Apple won't make any attempts to contact the owner themselves, though you can contact Apple anyway and ask.

  • Registering iPod nano - Session timed-out even though already registered

Having purchased a new iPod nano, when connecting it to iTunes I received the screen to register the nano with the options to Never Register, Later or Continue. I chose Continue but received the message 'Your registration session timed-out'. I registered through apple.com but now every time I connect the iPod I get this same screen and always the same 'Your registration session timed-out' message. Can anyone help me get past this screen ?

Actually, I've got this working. I had already tried resetting my Nano (take a look at the ipod support page at http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/ and lookup how to reset your ipod ) before and nothing doing.
However, the other day, I resetted it again and now my Nano is working fine! I got the 'registration' page and I selected 'Never Register' (although I have already done so via the web site) and can now update my Nano properly. I wonder if I didn't reset it properly last time - I can't think why else it didn't work last time. Ah well, try resetting and see what happens.

  • Registering the Iphone with AT&T doesnt work =/

I bought the phone in the states, I live in Sweden. When using Itunes 10.5 I cant register the phone with AT&T as I am promted to do. Thus it renders my phone unusable. The exakt problem is that i fill in the form they require but on the last page (of 3) there is the "terms and conditions"-page, it shows blank (not text) and only the continue button and the "I accept"button shows. I fill in the "I agree"button but nothing happens when I clikc on the continue button. How can I get around this?

Your USA phone will be carrier locked to AT&T in the US.  It will not work with any foreign carrier, including AT&T outside of the USA.  Nor will AT&T unlock it (they simply don't unlock phones) and they would be the only ones who could do so.
You can buy unlocked iPhones in the USA, direct from Apple, but no carrier in the USA sells unlocked iPhones, and even at an Apple store, you would need to specifically request an unlocked phone and pay full retail prices (current unlocked iPhone 4 is $549.00 USD).
About all you can do is return it, if possible, or sell it online perhaps.

  • ITunes could not connect to the iPad because it is locked with a passcode.

I just bought a 64GB iPad in France on my journey. In Denmark we haven't got it yet, so there's no support for me yet...
In the french store they let me connect to iTunes on one of their Macs, so I could enter my new iPad. Then I played with it the rest of the day (didn't sync with my MacBook, cause it is being fixed) and also put in a pascode as I do with all my devices.
Next morning when I turned it on, it only showed the "connect to iTunes" symbol again, as if it was new. And when I connect to iTunes, iTunes only says "iTunes could not connect to the iPad because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your pascode on the iPad before it can be used with iTunes"...
And that is a contradiction! I can't do what the iPad says and i can't do what iTunes says...
Any ideas? Any ways to reset it other than by holding down both buttons at a time, because I have tried that already.
Hopefully someone can help me, I really want to be able to use my new iPad

Re: iTunes could not connect because it is locked with a passcode...?in response to rhmcolvin
I have a much easier possible solution!!
I had this same issue, trying to connect my new iPhone 5s to my Windows computer's iTunes. I was getting two different error messages:
    - iTunes could not connect to the iphone because it is locked with a passcode
    - iTunes could not connect to the iphone because the device timed out
I found this thread, but did not like the idea of having to restore my iPhone and losing all my settings/data on the phone. After trying several different things, I discovered that I had 5 devices listed under my "Devices" that were authorized, so the real issue was that I had reached my limit. I had several issues with my old iPhone 5s, and had to have it replaced twice. As a result, I had several old iPhones listed under devices that I no longer had. Erasing those solved the problem, and my new phone connected just fine to iTunes. To get rid of the old devices, you can:
    Open iTunes
-> click on "store" in the upper left corner
->  from the drop-down menu, select "view account"
              -> enter your password
-> under "iTunes in the Cloud", click on the blue "Manage Devices >"
                        -> remove any old devices
This solved my problem. Hope it helps others as well!

  • Mirror lock-up in metadata

Having used mirror lock-up in many occasions in the past, I have to think that my Canon 5D MII embeds that information in the Exif, but I can't seem to find a way of finding that information in Metadata. Using LR 5.6 in Creative Cloud.
    So, questions:
Is there a way of identifying pictures taken with this function? It would be nice to have a keyword "MLU" (for Mirror Lock-Up), but first I have to find those pictures.
Is there a plug-in I need to install?
    Thanks
    Luis

An easy way to find such a plugin is via an internet search for
    Lightroom plugin exif metadata
I recommend ExifMeta (free, by me).

  • Urgent: Optimisic Locking with ChangedFieldsLockingPolicy

    Hi,
I'm trying to implement optimistic locking with Toplink's ChangedFieldsLockingPolicy.
If I create two UnitOfWorks, register the same object with each UOW and try to update the same field and commit, first UOW.commit() is successful and second UOW.commit() throws OptLockingExcpetion, which is perfect.
This is kind of hardcoding. Here UOW is overlapping. But in real world, we have only one UOW at any given point of time for a transaction for one user. So I'm not sure whether we can achieve this result thru the application.
But I want to get the exception in the following way:
    1. I'm opening 2 client sessions(2 browsers) and reading the same record on two browsers(say record A).
Lets say I'm updating a field called NAME with initial value "name1".
    2. I updated the record(say record B) on client session1(client session 2 i.e. browser 2 still shows the old record, record A).
SQL that I see in the log:
    UPDATE XYZ SET NAME = 'name2' WHERE ((ID = 13.0) AND (NAME = 'name1'))
    3. Now on client session 2 (browser2), when I try to update the record, I should get OptimisticLockingException because browser2 doesn't have the latest data(name2) and is trying to update the stale data(name1 which is not in the database).
I'm not getting any exception because I think when I update the record in client session 1, it automatically refreshes the toplink's cache and when I try to update the stale data from browser2, it reads the latest object from cache and updating it. But I'm not sure this is what restricting me from implementing Locking.
Here the SQL I see from Toplink's log is:
    UPDATE XYZ SET NAME = 'name3' WHERE ((ID = 13.0) AND (NAME = 'name2'))
But I expect to see :
UPDATE XYZ SET NAME = 'name3' WHERE ((ID = 13.0) AND (NAME = 'name1')) , which may probably cause OptLockingException.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
    Thank you..

Optimistic locks happen when transactions overlap.
IF you don't actually begin the unit of work in the second browser until the work from the first brower is committed, then apparently there is no overlap.
One option is to begin the unit of work when you display the data in the browser, but of course you probably don't want to have long lived uow's hanging around...
All I can suggest is that you keep a handle to the object you're displaying in the browser and compare it to the object from the second unit of work, to see if it had changed, before making the changes.

  • HT201328 Hi there, I purchased an Iphone 4S, it is currently locked with one carrier, I am in a contract with another carrier. I am trying to unlock the phone, but the Carrier says I have to activate it through them to unlock it. I so not want to do that,

Hi there, my daughter purchased a used iPhone 4S from a local newspaper who has had it in the lost and found for nearly a year, and no one ever claimed it. It is locked with Telus, my daughter is a Virgin Mobile customer. Telus told me they will only unlock it if she activates it with them, she cannot do that as she is in a contract with Virgin. Is there anything I can do to get around this problem?

Only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can unlock it. In
this case, you must work with Telus. If they have a pay as you go
plan, activate the iPhone on Telus that way and then after
you meet whatever requirements Telus has, stop using Telus
and move the iPhone to Virgin. Or sell the iPhone to someone
who can use it on Telus.
Telus is the only one who can unlock that iPhone.

Running a cable to the HDMI port is still supported. (and still works on mine).
If the Arrangement tab in System Preferences > Displays isn't present then it doesn't recognize the physical connection.  Double check all cables.  If that doesn't work try a PRAM reset:
