  • I have trouble trying register my printer... i get this message: appecberror: ecb request failed: er

Hello! I have hp 3050A printer end i have trouble trying to register... I get this message:
AppEcbError: ECB request failed: Error: code='900' description='[SF_ERR_202]ystem exception; 10.55.25.193-08.24.2012-128310'. WHY????

I wil need a little more information in order to help out. Is this an error message you are receiving at eprintcenter.com? You are trying to register/sing up for ePrint services and not just register the printer?  What browser are you  using to access the web site? Have you tried registering though a different browser?  Have you tired clearing the cache and the browsing history on that browser?

  • Unable to Register new printer

I purchased a new printer (Officejet 6500A Plus) and registered it on ePrint with no problem initially.  After registration, I noticed that I could use my facebook account as my login so  I deleted my earlier account and logged in using Facebook but since then, I have been unable to register my printer (invalid code).  I believe it thinks my printer is still attached to my earlier account but that account no longer exists.
I have disabled and re-enabled Web services on my printer and reprinted my address.  I have also powered my printer down and back up.
The printer works otherwise ... I am able to connect to the internet and use existing installed apps to obtain content.  I just am unable to set up my printer with an allowed user email list.

The email address you get when you reprint your info sheet is valid for 24 hours - have you been trying to add your printer to your account within that time period after printing the info sheet?
Have you verified that you are getting a new email address when you remove/re-enable web services?
Last, but not least, (sorry, have to ask) are you sure you're typing the new email address accurately in the add printer dialog?
Just to confirm, the sequence of events was:
    1. Enable web services
    2. Create ePC account
    3. Add printer
    4. Delete ePC account
    5. Remove/re-enable web services on printer and print web services info sheet
    6. Try to add printer within 24 hours of printing info sheet
    Is that correct?
Have you tried removing/re-enabling web services and printing the info sheet to try to add the printer to your account more than once?
    Thanks!

  • Updating a register and print only the updated portion

    Hi,
I have a scenario where I need to update a register. The register is a pdf form (Acro Form) and I am updating it via a swing application that I have developed.
When I first create the register, the user will print it and file it for his records. Subsequently, the user might need to update the register. I fill up more fields programmatically on the pdf and now when he prints it, he will supply the already the existent register sheet that he had printed and filed earlier, to the printer, and only the line that was updated should be printed on the correct slot.
Is this possible in java? I don't mind replacing the pdf with say an excel sheet or html if that can solve this problem.
Can anyone provide me with any links that I can read up on for this?
    Thanks
    Sethu

    Hi,
No I cannot expect the clients to have that sort of a printer, unfortunately. A thought struck me yesterday, I am basically using a pdf that has fillable fields (Acro Forms). This I am programtically filling in JAVA. That is simple enough to do using the itext library.
Initially, the first time I print that sheet, I am basically printing a table. What if I have 2 sets of this pdf, once that has the table border, header, etc and the other pdf will only have the form textfields. The textfields in the second pdf will be in the same position and have the same dimension as the original. Only that the second pdf will be devoid of all other printable characters like table borders, etc and will only have the text fields. I will now populate only the form fields that pertain to the entries that need to be added, so that only that gets printed out.
Since its a pdf, the specification says it looks exactly like how its going get printed. So I am guessing, this should work. If I make the textfield dimension a bit bigger, so that even if the printer during feeding doesn't align it perfectly, it wouldn't be too bad. Again, if the user feeds it incorrectly, nothing can be done about it. He will need to issue a fresh print of the sheet.
Any thoughts on this? Its a bit tedious to do.. but what the hell.. give it a shot?

    Hello 2preston1,
I hope you are referring to the prodcut registeration while you run the printer software installation.
You don't have to register again. One time registeration good to go.
In case you want to verify, then do call HP Tech Support.
If you are in US , the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836 .
If you are not in US , then log on to www.hp.com , at bottom-left corner there is a world map icon, click on it and then select the region you belong to, which would then provide support options for you for that region.

  • How can I stop the popup insisting that I register a printer that I no longer have or use?

The popup screen keeps appearing on a random basis even though I click "don't remind me again."  It's very annoying.

    Hi,
The pop up is usually run as a scheduled task, so open windows Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and open Task Scheduler.  Left click once on Task Scheduler Library to highlight it and look for an entry called 'Webreg'.  Left click this once to highlight it, then right click and select Disable.  Restart the Pc for the change to take effect.

  • Bought an HP Laserjet 1536dnf MFP, installed on network,. registered w/HP, signed up for E-Print

When I try to sign in onto e-print, I get an invalid login error

    Hi IndianWellsCH,
I just want to verify the steps you have performed.
    Printer installed on the network.
You currently have the latest firmware version installed: 2011-04-05 Version:20110405.
Enabled web services by logging into your printer's EWS (Embedded webserver).
ePrint mobile printer code  has sheet printed.
If that's the case then you only need,
Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com,click Sign In, then click small blue Sign Up button at the top of the box and fill out your info.
Click Add Printer, then enter your printer code.
    Customize your printer's email address.
    That's pretty much it.
If already have an ePrintCenter account, then on the main page you will then need to click Sign In, then below where you would enter your password click the "Forgot Password" link  and enter your personal email address you use to create this account.
***NOTES***   As of now, registering your printer with HP doesnt auto register you with our ePrint Center website.

  • EMAIL FOR MOBILE PRINTING AND REGISTERING WITH HP

Just bought a Deskjet 2540 printer, have managed set up but have two questions
Where do I get the required email for printing from a smartphone (tried my register email but that doesn't work)
Trying to register my printer with HP by clicking on product in list but nothing happens.  Just starts to buffer!!
    Thanks guys

    Hi gillymc,
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems setting up the ePrint feature of your Deskjet 2540 printer.
Your printer isn't an ePrint supported printer and wouldn't have a HP ePrint email address.  If your Smartphone is an Apple mobile device AirPrint will work with your printer.  I have included the printer specifications for your reference.  I have also included a document about HP's supported mobile printing solutions.

I work on behalf of HP

  • I have always thought HP products were great ntil now bought printer cannot register, ,i have only o

Im trying to register a printer i have only 1 email adress it wont let me register with current email and wont let me create another account, i am just sick of this

Hi, can you recall if you've used that email address to create an online account with HP in the past e.g. a Snapfish account? If you have, you'll need to use the same password you used when you created the older account when you're trying to setup your ePrintCenter account. What might be happening is that the system recognises your email address (and a matching password) but if the password you're using now doesn't match the one the system has, it won't let you register your new ePrintCenter account.
Have you tried getting the password reset by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link? If so, what happened?

  • Can't register printer to HP Connected

I typed in the code into HP Connected, but it still says that I have no devices registered. I tried to put in the code again, but it said that it was already registered. I was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this problem.
    Thanks

    Hi lhuete,
If you have still not got the printer in HP Connected. De register and register the printer to get a new printer code and enter that in your HPConnected account.

  • HP LaserJet 500 color MFP M570dn ePrint information sheet won't print

When I attempt to Enable Web Services Connect I receive a message that an information sheet will print that contains important information.  That information sheet doesn't print.  After selecting OK, there is another button on the right that says "Print Information Sheet."  Pushing that button also doesn't print an information sheet.  However, I can see that it changes the printer's ePrint email address.
When I go to: https://www.hpconnected.com/us/en/#devices/ to add a new device to my profile, I'm asked for a printer claim code.  When I paste in the part of the printer's newly issue email address before the "@" sign, I receive a message that there is an unexpected error. (HP technical support told me that this part of the email address was the claim code)
This is a new printer (it came yesterday).  How do I fix this?  I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes on the telephone with HP technical support and they were unable to fix it and couldn't really say what to do next.  They said maybe there was some sort of problem with HP's cloud service and that I should keep trying back.  I've tried back a number of times over 24+ hours with the same result.

Thank you for posting this information on our forum boards. At this moment in time, I do not have an answer to your question as to why you can't register your printer with the HP Connected cloud however, I have taken steps to investigate.
Please be patient and hang in there with me. If you can, could you please try and register your printer again in a few days and let me know the results. You may have to disable and enable web services to get a new printer code as the codes are only good for 24 hours.
Please know that I am activately pursuing this issue however it will take time to get to the root cause.
