Register receipt questions

At the top of the register receipt, is the Receipt logo and receipt header.
Just below the receipt header, the following is listed...
1. Current date and time (ex. 5/22/13 12:28PM)
2. Four digit transaction number and 5 digit Store id (ex. Trans.: 7546 Store: 4147)
3. Register and Till id (ex. Reg.: 242 Till.: 081)
4. Cashier and Sales id (ex. Cashier: 123456789 Sales: 123456789)
5. Transaction barcode
How can I masked the first few characters of the Casher and Sales id? (ex. Cashier: 123456789 Sales: 123456789) would be displayed like (ex. Cashier: xxxx56789 Sales: xxxx56789)?
How can I hide the Casher and Sales id? (ex. Cashier: 123456789 Sales: 123456789) would be displayed like (ex. Cashier: Sales: )?
Is there a configuration or properties file on the register that I can modify? Or would this be a coding change to the receipt functionality?

you need to modify the code and add another method which will return you the masked data and then you need to call that method in the bpt.

I have a TON of packages in my /Library/Receipts/ folder. Is is okay to clean out all of those packages? Or are they needed? I'm thinking it could save space on the hard drive.

The receipts are used by Disk Utility to repair permissions, and by Software Update to determine which updates are needed. It is not a good idea to remove them.

Registered Object Question

Hi, I have changed an object and supplied the object key successfully. I can now successfully edit the object. But, when I sign on to another machine with the same profile I get prompted for the object key again.
Any ideas why this would be? Any idea what table holds the registration information?

When you say "another machine" are you referring to a different instance of SAP? If this is the case, when you register an object, you are registering the object for that instance of SAP only. Now, I believe that you can use the same key to access the same object in two different systems. In our landscape, we get the key for the object in our development system, make the change, then send it on to production. We only enter the key one time.

Odd EMV Credit Card Receipt

When I use my USAA Visa chip/signature card at Wal-Mart, the receipt says "Visa Credit" before the truncated account number, and when I use either of my Amex chip/signature cards the receipt reads "American Express" before the truncated account number, which is also to be expected. When I used my new Capital One QS1 Mastercard at Wal-Mart, I noticed the PIN-pad displayed "Capital One" when I inserted the card. Later, upon a closer look at the receipt, I noticed the paper receipt has "Capital One" printed in front of the truncated account number, instead of the card brand. The receipt does have "MCard Tender" beneath the total, but this is the first time I've ever had a bank's name appear on a cash register receipt. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Greetings! I have been a skype user for over half a decade now (Feb 2005 ),
I have some questions, and hope some of you can help me. Let me begin by explaining
my situation.
I plan to have the following services:
1. Unlimited US & Canada.
2. US incoming number.
3. Unlimited India.
Unpaid:
4. 9 Skype to Go numbers + 1 Universal Call and Transfer old fashion number
5. 4 registered phones
Question 1:
I understand that I am limited by the fair usage policy -

I know that it is pretty old (~2009), and does not include details on India.
The policy states: 10,000 min/month , max 360 min/day
But the Tricky part is this : "If your subscription includes more than one country,
then this is the total amount of minutes allowed per month on your account, and is
not a separate limit for each country."
Does this mean:
1. US+Canada and India : 10,000 min/month , max 360 min/day
or
2. US+Canada = 10,000 min/month , max 360 min/day and India = 10,000 min/month , max 360 min/day.
Here US+Canada is a multiple country sub and the cap is on both of them put together.
Which of my interpretations is correct?
Question 2:
I understand that Skype expects these plans to be used by a single individual.
I am not sure if this can be loosely interpreted as a single family. I am starting my
family now, and obviously I am interested in seeing if my spouse can use my subscription.
So that brings us to the second part of the Questions:
1. Can both my spouse and I use use my account to make calls, provided we stay under the limits?
This might include, occasionally, calling from two registered phones through skype-to-go to two International numbers
(Canada + India) or long distance US simultaneously. I think it is reasonable to expect that if we together keep
the calls to under 6 hrs/day and 10000 min/month and the 50 unique number limit, we should be considered as respecting the skype TAC.
Is this a valid interpretation?
2. Is there a restriction on the area-codes of the phone numbers being registered (managed phones for
pin-less skype to go)? We come from two different area codes, and would like to keep it that way.
Should the answers to the above questions be favorable, a perfect system would be the Connect-me adapter at home
serving as the landline, with our office and mobile phones serving as extensions to our skype subscriptions.

I think due to the length of my question, one of the details got lost, so let me repeat it here,
If my spouse and I were to accidentally call two different numbers using our STG setup simultaneously, i.e.. I initialize a call using STG to say STGN01 which calls Ind01 and my
spouse initializes a call to STGN05 which Calls Ind04, will skype see that as a breach of contract? I.e.. Does skype place restrictions only on minutes or does it place restrictions on number of simultaneous calls?
I know much of the wording in the TAC is to prevent people from using these "flexible" plans toward running commercial calling services, and users are expected to follow the honor system - only single person (personal) use. I am afraid any amount of coordination can still leave place for unexpected calls using STG at the same time, and I wouldn't want to be penalized for that.

Receipts for Emails

I have a question here. I need to request receipts for an email I am generating. Is there a way to do this in APEX as I don't see it as an option in the APEX_EMAIL package send call.

That is normally a feature in Outlook and such... Oracle's e-mail package, as apposed to APEX's mail process MIGHT support this, see these threads for a possible answer.... UTL_MAIL return receipt question re:Return Receipt with UTL_SMTP mail

How to Reverse an Posted IDOC of Sales as per Receipt in IS Retail Server

Hi Experts,
An Inbound IDOC of Sales as per Register Receipts is made (WPUK transaction Code simulation). Once I post the IDOC in simulation Mode, system creates a Article Document and Billing Document.
I want to reverse those Article Document and Billing Document by IDOC (WPUK transaction Code simulation).
So I tried with same datau2019s and chosen 252 movement type but system once again taking the same 251 movement type only.
Please suggest how to configure this scenario???

There are 2 senarios
If the Idoc is completely processed (easier) then to reverse it, double click the IDOC
Initially in this screen the status will be 9 (ok) in Overview screen
Press Change Status, a new popup will appear.
In the pop up screen , there is a button for cancel/reverse press that.
Press continue.
Process and save.
Now the status in the over view screen should change to 3.
Exit back to the wper screen ..refresh and double click the IDOC again
In Overview screen, Now again Process and save.
Now the status in the over view screen should change to 6.
The ultimate aim is to get the status 6 ..which means cancelled.
Once done, cancellation word should appear in front of IDOC in WPER and all the article document and other documents should have corresponding reverse documents.
If the Idocs are partially processed (difficult case), those in the only Processed list can be handled by the above method.
Those in to be processed list then to reverse it, double click the IDOC
Initially in this screen the status will be 1 (error) in Overview screen
Press Change Status, a new popup will appear.
In the pop up screen , there may not be a button of cancel/reverse. In this case press the button of Reject.
Press continue
Process
Now the status in the overview screen should change to 5.
and save
Then double click on the line item in the overview screen, click cancel/reverse, if it appears, press continue then process and save the status in the over view screen should change to 6.
If in case it does not change to that then try to resubmit and and again repeat this process.
In worst case it will be rejected (5) idoc.
Once done, rejected by user word should apear in front of IDOC in wper.
Then you can note down the article doc and the billing doc.
An reverse them, manually for reversal of billing doc use tcode EA20
For reversal of g/l and accounting doc use tcode FB03 (display) then press cancel/reverse button on menu.
For reversal of article document use tcode MBST

Security Questions error

I have an iPad 2. Whenever I attempt to purchase an app it asks me to register security questions but won't let me choose any. I cannot upload apps without surpassing this step. Any ideas?

The reset link only shows if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account. If you aren't getting the option then that indicates that you don't have a rescue email address, and you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312

Windows license key from sticker are unreadable

I was looking at the bottom of my T400 today, and I noticed that both the Windows Vista sticker that the machine came with and the Windows 7 sticker that contains the license keys are unreadable. It appears that the license keys have faded the same way that something printed on thermal paper (like an old school fax machine or a cash register receipt) fade over time or when exposed to heat.
Obviously I don't care about the Vista sticker as I upgraded for free to Windows 7. However, if something were ever to happen to the machine and I needed the license key (such as a reinstall) I'd like to know how to go about getting one.
I noticed on the T420 that the sticker is located in the battery compartment, and this sticker shows no signs of fading.

It looks to me that the serials are printed using some sort of laser printer on top of preprinted sticker stock. The fused toner that forms the characters is prone to wear from abrasion such as when you slide the ThinkPad in and out of a sleeve. Print something that has a lot of black on standard paper using a laser printer. Fold the paper over the black and you'll see that the toner has cracked. I believe something similar happens with the stickers on the bottom of ThinkPads.
For the past several years, starting with T60 series, I've always put a layer of standard 3M office tape over the serials on the bottom of every ThinkPad. These serials include MTM, Windows, MAC addresses, etc. All of these serials are as readible today as they were when the ThinkPad was new. This also suggests it's an abrasive wear not thermal degradation issue.
I suspect the stickers got moved inside the battery compartment (or elsewhere like inside the SIM/SD compartment on TPT2) for this reason.

GL Query for ACH demands a Blank Column

This is a very basic question...
I'm writing an SQL query to extract GL information from our Enterprise engine. The ACH format requires the format of the output file to include "filler" columns containing a single space.
Using SQL I can extract all of the information. How do I add filler columns to the output of the Query?
Eventually this will be spooled out to a file, encrypted and send to JPM Chase as a "check register".

OIM LDAPSync not working

Hi all,
I've installed OIM 11.1.1.5.0 with LDAPSync enabled. When I create a user using the OIM Admin console the user is created in OID. However, when I create a user in OID, the user does not get reconciled into OIM. I've manually run the "LDAP User Create and Update Reconciliation" task. Am I missing something? When configuring OIM, all I did was to tick the "Enable LDAP Sync" check box and enter values relevant to my OID installation. Do I need to do anything else? Any suggestions would be much appreciated....

I've noticed some strange behavior when a user is created in OID and reconciled to OIM:
1. I create a user (e.g. Dummy User) in OID with a default password (e.g. passW0rd)
2. The user is reconciled into OIM and an email is generated with the following content:
An account has been created for you with the following details. You will be required to change your password on next login.
UserID: DUMMY USER
Password: Dg6zhsyn
3. When logging into OIM with the above credentials, I am redirected to the Password Management page where I need to provide a new password and register challenge questions for the account.
4. After completing the form and entering Dg6zhsyn into the "Old Password" field, I get the error "The password change operation failed while validating old password." after clicking submit.
5. After completing the form and entering passW0rd into the "Old Password" field, I can submit the form successfully and log into OIM.
I am confused. Any suggestions?

PSS query - GRC 10

I have a query regarding PSS in GRC 10.0.
1. Is it possible to restrict the number of questions user can register in PSS?
2. Is it possible to allow user to register for PSS using only Admin Defined questions and not user defined questions. Currently I can see both options available. Requirement is to hide "USER DEFINED QUESTIONS" option.

Thanks for the note. I just implemented it today morning and able to restrict the option only to ADMIN DEFINED questions.

I have the option to restrict the number of questions user need to answer when using PSS.
But my requirement is to restrict the number of questions user can register.
1. Currently I have defined 6 questions for PSS.
2. As of now user can register all questions or few questions.
3. Client is asking to restrict the user to register for only one of the admin defined questions and not all or more than one. But is this setting possible?
