Hello!
I've just started a subscription on "standalone applications in the Creative Cloud - Adobe Premiere Pro" but as soon as I start Premiere it instantly closes and tells me to complete my registration, I've done that but it still tells me to do that?

C0mparnYT it sounds like you are facing a launch issue with Premiere Pro. The only relevance to the registration prompt is that it is likely the normal prompt for first launch. The fact that this has been displayed multiple times indicates it is not being saved within the preferences for Premiere Pro.
There is likely a larger issue though causing Premiere Pro itself to crash on launch. The community in the Premiere Pro forum will be better able to assist you.

Supplier Registration Questions

Hi everybody,
We are on SRM 5.0 and I am trying to implement the supplier registration system. I have 2 questions on supplier registration:
- Is there a way select buyers can be notified when a supplier registers in the registration page?
- We have several new fields that need to be included in the supplier registration page. Is there a easy way (using BADI or otherwise) to show all these fields in the Screen Suppliers transaction?

Application Registration Question

I have an htmldb application which was successfully implemented using my old PC.
I've just unpacked by new PC and now when I attempt to run my htmldb application I am getting the following error. Can anyone help me correct this?

Let me clarify. I did not copy the application from the old PC to the new. It isn't even stored on my PC.
My application is stored in HTMLDB and I access it by going to apex.oraclecorp.com where I login to a workspace provided for me.
All I have done is attempt to run the application by connecting to apex.oraclecorp.com using my new PC.
I don't understand why that should be any different than using my old PC.
My new PC has no SSO problems when accessing mail or files online.
My co-worker has used her PC to run my application - following the same steps I did - and is able to run the application w/ no problem.
Another tidbit. I created a new test application using my new PC in the same workspace provided, and it runs fine.
Any ideas?

Re-installing Snow Leopard Registration Question

Hello,
Is there anyway to get Snow Leopard's setup assistant to recognize my account registration information when re-installing? I go through the installation process as normal but after I input my username and password information the Account Registration fields are blank, and I know that I've registered my mac before.

If I recall if you click the option button on the left lower corner or something you can bypass the registration process and just create a username etc.
Since the machine is registered already then no need to send it off again.

Forum registration question does not work if DST is enabled

The forum software didn't accept my output of
date -u +%V$(uname)|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g'
until I deselected "Daylight Savings Time is in effect (advance time by 1 hour).".
I guess this is a bug, right? Or is it a way to keep users off this forum who don't find that out by themselves (which also means this thread will be deleted)?

I don't have timedatectl on my OS, but it shouldn't have to do anything with my OS, since the sha256sum of "30Linux" didn't work with DST on the registration page enabled, but worked as soon as I deselected that checkbox.

Supplier registration question

Hi guys,
Iu2019m new in SRM and Iu2019m wondering if there is a different way to the following (regarding user self-registration in SUS):
What we have now -> using SAP Enterprise Portal and filling up a web form the supplier is able to create his own user account in SRM-SUS (through an email sent by system with a link and logon data).
What we would like to have is somehow the supplier register must be approved by an administrator or a manager before the system sends the register notification. With this we avoid this supplier self-registration and this task will be done by someone internal e.g. Administrator or a Manager.
Is it possible? If so how and where can we do that?

it is not possible to avoid this registration step --> and do manually in the SUS system.
this is because system will create an initial regid --> intially --> for each supplier company --> and this is unique -->
each company will be created --> as business partner --> and so it is manually not possible to create BP for the supplier --> which is coming from different system...

I just downloaded PhotoShop CC and it is working fine. The download included three files:
CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg
CreativeCloudInstaller-1.dmg
CreativeCloudInstaller-2.dmg
I used the first one. Are the other files duplicates or do they include other needed PhotoShop functions?

Yes, other downloads are duplicates and they don't needed Photoshop funtions.
As you sign in to creative cloud desktop app and installed any application using it. It will automatically pick the credential of your's
and licensed the application.

Product registration question

I recently downloaded trials of both Lightroom 2, and CS3 Extended. Since then, I have purchased box sets of each but have not received them yet. When I do, can I just type in the serial # to register the versions already on my system, or do I have to install the new versions? I am concerned about loosing the work that I have already done in Lightroom 2. Thanks very much in advance! Chip

Not specific to Photoshop trial, but to Adobe's Premiere Pro. To upgrade from trial to the full, paid version, one must remove the "trial," just like one must do with a beta version. Then, they need to run the Adobe cleaning app., before attempting to install the full version.
As I have never done a trial, a beta, or even a downloaded version of PS, I cannot directly comment.
This is were a call to Adobe would possibly save a lot of time and frustration. Give that another Adobe "heavy-hitter" has a problem going directly from trial to full, leads me to believe that similar might happen with PS. As I hate to abort installs and/or reinstall any app., I'd take the first advice and call first. Well, maybe not first, as I'd first check the Adobe knowledgebase, just to see if there was a FAQ on trial to full. That might tell you all you need, and furnish links to any "cleaner."

CR2008 Product Registration Question

I have a fully registered CR2008 SP1 version. I just upgraded to SP3 and now when I launch CR it states it's Not Registered. If I upgrade to a more recent Service Pack I have to re-register? Please advise. Thanks.

No, you should not have to. See if you can find licensemanager.exe in c:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86. Run that. Remove the existing keycode and re-add your existing keycode - even if it is the same one.

It appears Microsoft Developer Program rejects all the types of credit and debit card earth , which one do do they accept??? No Visa , No MasterCard , No American Express !!!!!!
The worst thing is Microsoft accepts my credit card whey I pay for other services,only rejects when paying 15 euro for developer account.

Smpatch, PCA, and account registration questions

I'm stumped.
All I want to do is apply the patches available to Solaris 10 U8 from a fresh new full install, but I'm having all sorts of difficulty doing so.
Using the standard smpatch utility I'm getting error messages like:
# smpatch analyze
Failure: Cannot connect to retrieve detectors.jar: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
Googling this I see a number of people have had this problem, but no clear solution has been found for this, so it seems. As a workaround I've tried using pca instead, but have been getting the following errors:

Trying Oracle
Trying https://getupdates.oracle.com/ (zip) (1/1)
Failed (Unknown Error)
Trying https://getupdates.oracle.com/ (tar.Z) (1/1)
Failed (Error 404: Not Found)

Since these error messages also appear when I enter gibberish for my Oracle Support Account User and password I figured that perhaps my Sun account is no longer valid, so I logged into support.oracle.com, but it is asking me for a Customer Support Identifier which I don't have. I read somewhere that this is mailed out at account creation time, but I don't have this email, so I created a new account and still don't have this piece and don't know what to do.
What sort of hoops do I need to jump through to download the patches for U8? Would I be best off to download the latest DVD ISO and start over? I'm astonished as to how complicated this process seems. I've installed U8 on another system before and did not have these problems... Perhaps my problems are that now that the Oracle/Sun merger is further in the past there have been changes made which have broken U8?
That's all I have, flimsy theory wise, because I don't know why this is so problematic with a fresh install...

It seams that Time Zone and DST are causing a bigger problem than it should be.
May be a not time-related Registration Captcha will server us better.

SSPR Asterix (*) Secret Answers and Allow Users to Pick Optional Questions

Hi,
Is it possible to asterix out (***) answers to FIM SSPR Registration questions as they're typed?
Also, is it possible to present the user with a single gate of 8 questions but force the users to only have to answer 3 questions on a single registration screen? I don't want to force the user to jump through multiple gates or screens.

Yes, It is feasible to give user choice to answer limited number of questions. Please find a scenario for example below:
1) You can configure FIM QA gate to have suppose 40 default questions.
2) Now, You can configure to let user see only 20 or any number of questions of them.
3) Now, Out of these 20 questions you can give user a choice to answer any 10 questions or any number of questions.
4) Now, In addition you can configure QA gate to let user see only random 5 or any no. of questions during Password reset.
5) And you can also give user choice to answer 2 questions or any no. of questions.

Forum account registration form problem

The forum registration question is one of the weirder ones I have ever seen. It is also specific to one platform. (Does it accept GNU/Linux, for example?)
I did ran into a technical problem with the form itself. After having completed the riddle, I pasted the result and then pressed Enter. My answer was rejected. I went back and forth a few times before I found the problem: I had to click the Register button instead of pressing the Enter key to submit the form.
Could the already difficult registration process at least be made keyboard accessible, please?

I am using Firefox 25.
Just to clarify how the problem happens:
1. Fill in the form
2. Fill in the geek test answer
3. Press Enter while focus is still in the last input field (the geek test)
Error message claiming the answer was incorrect,
4. Fill in the geek test answer
5. Click the Register button
Profit.

Creating a bootable USB stick (Windows/syslinux issue)

Hi everyone,
Lately I decided to install Arch on my new machine, using USB drive as there's no disc drive (out of fashion, all that stuff yk). After a ton of research at wiki I finally downloaded Arch ISO (so everything above is just a foreplay) and started my efforts to create a USB stick to boot from.
Firstly, when trying with simple USB Writer, it gave me an error message "An error occurred while opening the target volume.", which I thought back then, was just the tool's issue. Then I moved straight to creating bootable USB manually, by downloading and installing syslinux. Everything went fine and according to wiki's scenario until, once again, third-party program ought to do something with external drive.
At that stage, I'm getting syslinux' error message "Could not load drive: access is denied". Googling taught me that this, pretty obviously, happens when one's not running prompt as admin - but I am! Now I'm totally at a loss what to do.
(What it says in the last line after re-encoding is "access is denied" in Russian, and the upper panel - that I'm running prompt as an admin)
Stick details:
A new one, was formatted with wiki-recommended Rufus USB partitioner, so that it's now FAT32, 4kb block size ARCH_201408.
P.S.: Everything is done on another machine as the new one has only old XP on which I have no intention to work with.
P.P.S.: Answering the registration question took me an hour, mostly 'cause of that the first online prompt didn't work with the command correctly, this thing is not Linux-newbie-friendly at all though I understand it might be meant to be so

There are four methods listed in the wiki for writing the Arch install iso to a USB device under Windows. You have tried the first one, USBwriter, and ignored the other three.
I'd suggest you try them all. You should also bear in mind that although the ISO you're using comes from Arch, the OS you're using does not, so any Windows issues that may affect what you're doing would be best addressed in a Windows forum.
