Registration / Trial issues!

I purchased a full copy of Adobe Acrobat X Pro back in March and it worked fine for about 7 months.
Now suddenly, it acts like it is a trial version with the 30 day limit.  When I choose to register with serial number,
it tells my number is not valid for this product.  I have tried a repair installation and also a reinstall and still get the same result.
Any Help is appreciated.

at a guess it is the change of hardware that has caused the re-activation of windows.
im not sure where it stands with Microsoft licence terms for trial licences though. If this was not a trial you would have to contact he MS clearing house to re-activate it, or do it through the activation wizard.

  • Dragging rotated and nested symbol causes registration point issues

    Has anyone noticed registration point issues when trying to drag a nested symbol or if you place a symbol on the stage and manually roated it with the rotate tool?
    I have been tryig to master the science of this and am still having a helluva time. It looks like it thinks your mouse is the 0,0 point and instantly jumps the symbol you are attemping to drag.
    Has anyone else noticed this and figured out a workaround?
    I noticed if I dynamically place the symbol it doesnt have this issue but I would prefer to not be forced into that

    Yes there is. After you have paused at the IN-point, hit shift + left arrow, this will mark the IN-point. Play to OUT-point, pause, shift + left arrow and the clip is selected from the two points.

  • InDesign Server CC2014 Trial issue

    Hi,
    I cannot start our InDesign Server CC 2014 (Windows Server 2008). I have installed the software and was logged with our Adobe ID and installation was successful without any error message. The installation manual states that “InDesign CC Server needs to be activated before it can be used. If the computer is online, activation is done automatically when you install.” However, I got an error message when I tried to launch InDesign Server: “Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit”.
    Since  I had previously installed InDesign Server CS6 on another machine, I tried to use the APTEE to start the trial. I used the CS6 one because I did not find any version for CC 2014, I finally got the message:
    StartTrial Successful
    Return Code = 0
    but when I tried to launch again InDesign Server, I always get the Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit message.

  • Three Acrobat 9 trial issues

    Hello!
    Hoping Adobe's developer will perhaps read this too:
    1. I installed Acrobat 9 Pro Trial in german on my Windows 7 system which had Indesign CS4 already. Before I only had the Reader. Now, when exporting a PDF from Indesign with option "Show PDF after export" activated, Indesign gives me an error that it can not show the PDF because of a messed up Acrobat installation. But no matter what program is assigned to show PDFs, Acrobat or the Reader, it does not work. Apart from that, double-clicking a PDF in Explorer of course opens the Reader.
    2. I have to use the Windows font SimHei to export chinese text from Excel to PDF. In Excel, the font shows correctly, for example the degree symbol (°). When printing to a PDF printer (not Acrobat, 3rd party tool, worked fine before) and opening the PDF in the Reader, some characters like the degree symbol are not shown. If I open the PDF in Acrobat, use touch up text tool, place the cursor and type the ° manually, it does not show, only a space. Opening the properties of the text, Acrobat says it's SimHei.
    I strongly suppose this is a problem of CJK support or any kind of font substitution by the Adobe.
    This is SimHei in Excel, below in the other picture is SimHei in Acrobat.
    3. Marking text with the mouse cursor in Acrobat (touch up text tool) looks very strange. See below:
    Can anyone give any suggestions how to solve the font thing? This is most important to me right now.

    Addition: I've printed the same document from Excel with the Adobe PDF printer and then the font shows correct. But before I installed Acrobat, I have printed the document with the 3rd party tool a several times and it always was correct. Now I don't now if it's Windows 7 (moved from Xp recently), if it's the most recent version of the 3rd party tool or if it's the Acrobat installation. I'm still using trial, wanting to use Acrobat in the future in hop this can solve such issues forever.

    Having Reader and Pro installed on the same Windows machine is not supported as it creates problems. Uninstall the one that you are not using, in this case I would say Reader, since you only have a 30 day trial. Just be sure you have all the information you need to reinstall Reader when your trial runs out, unless you decide to buy Pro.

  • Indesign Server CC Trial issues

    The installation instructions states
    You need to download Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition (APTEE) for using the InDesign Server trial
    The download link only refers to CS6, CS5.5 & CS5 not CC
    Since there is no Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition for CC I decided just to install and run the trial.
    However I got the Adobe InDesign Server is not properly licensed and will now quit message.
    According to the CC Release notes it says:
    InDesign CC Server needs to be activated before it can be used. If the computer is online, activation is done automatically when you install. You need to provide your Adobe ID, and serial number when prompted by the installer. Unless the software is activated, you'll see an error, "Adobe InDesign Server’ is not properly licensed and will now quit."
    My computer was online yet the it seems it didn't perfom the automatic activation as it suggests. When I entered my AdobeID credentials I did not get any errors saying it could not connect online.
    So I had to do something and decided to use the Adobe Provisioning Toolkit Enterprise Edition for CS6.
    This allowed me to get pass the licensing issue.
    The next problem was I was getting DDE Server Window:InDesignServer.exe System Error popup. Telling me The program can't start because svml_dispmd.dll is missing from your computer.

    So after browsing the net to see where I can get this missing svml_dispmd.dll I found this post http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/285859
    and decided to install what it suggested.
    I still got the missing dll error so I copied it from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Shared Libraries\redist\intel64\compiler into C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe InDesign CC Server x64
    Now it just sits there and hangs at the same spot

  • Registration key issue.

    Allright...I bought a Quicktime Pro key, and enter EXACTLY how it says in the registration fields...click apply, and Quicktime Pro 7 pops up. My ISSUE is, after I hit OK and the window closes...the next time I watch a movie, all the Pro features are "greyed" out. How do I get the key to stick?

    Sorry, but your first post wasn't clear as to exactly what was the problem. I don't know if this will help, but here are some thoughts:
    Make sure you're entering in both the user name and key code exactly as in the email Apple sent you. Any error in either, including leaving off a salutation (for instance, if the email says "Mr. John Smith") will cause the registration not to take.
    Confirm as well that it's a key for QuickTime 7 (keys for earlier versions of QuickTime will not work) and that it's for Windows (a key for the Mac version won't work either).
    If that still doesn't identify the problem, locate the QuickTime preference files, delete them, and enter your key again and see if it will then stick.

  • Spa504g crashes - registration/drop issue

    I have had an intermittent issue where users attempt to answer a  call, but the device(spa504g) freezes and the lcd gets stuck  "Answering". The  phone becomes unresponsive to any button presses; even  after considerable  patience. The call is eventually dropped, and if we're lucky the customer calls back. The only solution is to unplug the power  and repower the  device.
    On the server side, the phone often remains registered  for sometime even  showing that it is still on a call. I think after  about 15 minutes the  registration drops. So if I attempt to repower the  phone before it  unregisters, it will seem to register fine but will  not actually ring on  any inbound calls. Most of the time I've resorted  to restarting services on the server which effectively brings the system  down, even if only for a minute.
    I'm using 3cx phone system. Our server is collocated so all extensions are remote. Aside from this, we have no other issues
    We have 5 end points at this location all SPA504g with  7.5.4 firmware. We have low call volume and I'm usually the first guy  to take calls 90% of the time. But I have swapped out phones and confirm  that it has happened on more than one device, even on previous  firmwares.
    I can't reproduce the issue. It has happened about 5  times this week, but hadn't happened in over a couple of months prior to  this week.
    I have experienced the issue ever since we went live with the system. So basically since everything was new out of the box.
    I have created a support ticket with 3cx, providing syslogs for the phones, logs from the phone system, and wireshark pcap on the server. They say there is no problem on the server and that it is probably a phone/networking issue.

    @Christie:  In our testing, we just turned off STUN in the phone's web GUI and turned off DHCP option 66 so the phone did not auto reprovision itself. I may have also manually edited the provisioing file for that particular phone we were testing on, I don't remember. But, I believe simply changing it to 'No' in the template should be all you need. I don't know about it changing those other things to be honest.  However, my client is back to having it turned 'On' (the default provisioning template settings) and we're using the test firmware that Cisco provided me a few days ago, and so far, no lock ups!
    @Robbie:  The 'PBX Delivers Audio' setting was something different; something I changed to allow extension-to-extension calls to pass audio at the remote site. Christie is talking about the disabling of STUN on the phones. I've not had any complaints from the users regarding blind transfers and they don't use headsets, so I can't comment on those things. Also, for our tenants, the server is in one location (the data center) and ALL of their phones are in another location (their office), so I also cannot comment on multi-location setups as you mentioned in your last sentance.  Good to know for future refecence though!
    @Christie:  Those changes you mentioned in your 5:24pm post seem to be spot on with what I did during my testing.  I've now got STUN re-enabled and am using the test firmware Cisco has provided me.  Not sure if I really need STUN, but I figure the least amount of changes from the default 3CX provisioning template, the better.
    @Robbie:  Ironic for you, but not for me.  All of the lock-up occurences my users have reported have been with OUTBOUND calls (with both internal-to-internal AND internal-to-external calls).  Actually, I take that back; I had a user report the other day that he was trying to do a Call-Pickup (answering another ringing extension) using the BLF button on his phone and then his phone locked up - technically not an incoming call to HIS extension. Hopefully it's all related and this new firmware will fix that too.
    I'll be out of the country with no access to internet/email for two weeks. I hope to have no reports of lock-ups from the cusdtomer while I'm gone.  Assuming this is the case, I will report to Cisco that the test firmware appeared to fix the problem and I assume they will release it to the general public.
    Appreciate the input from everyone!  I'm hopeful we are close to a resolution!

  • CS3 Fireworks Trial Issue

    Hello.
    Has anyone experienced this issue where as when trying to
    launch a 30 day trial of Adobe CS3 products (in my case Fireworks
    and Flash) the following message error occurs:
    "A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial
    period for Adobe Fireworks.
    Click quit to see if restarting your computer or reinstalling
    the software will correct this problem. Otherwise click `continue'
    to display a screen where you can enter a valid serial number to
    begin using the product without trial."
    I check the log files and I found the following issue:
    ALM_License_Check Return Error 137:1
    Does someone have a work around for this issue? (hopefully)

    when i click on accept in the adobe software license agreement the window disappears for a few seconds then reappears aking me to accept the agreement again.

  • Lightroom trial issues

    I downloaded a Trial for Lightroom CC. 
    1. I loaded up two cards of images.  If they are saved in LR Catalog?,  where are the Masters?  I right click to "Show Package Contents" and no Masters show up.  Not good.
    2.  I process a photo in LR/save to Quick Save. Open in PS and the pictures open up as the original out of camera.  Not what I "quick saved".

    Lightroom doesn’t physically hold photos. It simply makes links to the images in your folders. So your originals will be in the folder you copied them to. You may have specified dated folders in Pictures if you didn’t choose a named folder in the right-hand panel of the import dialog.
    If you made some adjustments to photos using the develop module or quick develop in the Library, those adjustments will be automatically stored in the catalog. There is nothing to save. Your adjustments are applied when you export images.

    I downloaded an Adobe XI trial version to convert an important PDF to Word but I cannot convert it through Adobe Reader. I am continually sent to the Adobe website to subscribe. When I attempt to convert the file through Adobe XI I cannot find the PDF. Why offer a trial version if it doesn't work and you are encouraged to subscribe? How can I convert my file through either software? Thank you for your help. Should I uninstall the trial and reinstall?

    Your message seems confusing. It appears that you are talking about about two softwares at the same time.
    There is no such software as Adobe XI (it's either Adobe Acrobat XI or Adobe Reader XI)
    Also, you cannot convert files using Reader.
    If it is a trial version, it must be Adobe Acrobat XI. And if it sends you for subscription, it must be Adobe Reader XI.
    Acrobat is paid (or trial for 30 days), Reader is free.
    Acrobat can Export/Convert (even the trial version), Reader cannot.
    Judging by your message it appears that you are trying to convert the PDF to Word using the free Reader, which asks you for the subscription because Reader cannot convert.
    If it had been Acrobat, the software would have converted the PDF to Word on your system itself and not asked for the online subscription.
    Also, you posted the question in the ExportPDF forum, which is related to online conversion of files (i.e. the subscription is required for this).
    Could your recheck and verify that you are using the correct software?
