Reimporting Target and Source structures
Hi,
We recently applied an OSS note (new field) and added a few fields to VBAK table and this is impacting an interface. I would like to get some help on reimporting the source and target structures. Following is the message I get in the processing log inside Message Mappings.
Target structure has no such path:
Greatly appreciate your help with this.
Thanks in advance,
Vish
Hi,
Right click on the Namespace and click on export, it will show you next steps, select whole Namespace to move, that way you wouldn't miss anything, or else you can select individual objects in the drop down and select the message mapping that you changed.
you need to export idoc structures too, right click on software component version and click export and go to individual objects in the drop down and select only the idocs that you want to move, or else you can move whole software component version so that there is no need to move namespace separately.
if you have CTS+ configured already it will create a TR, go to abap stack and type tcode SE09 and you will see a TR which is created. click on it and release the TR (there will be a truck fig on top of the screen after menu bar).
once released contact basis to import it or you can go to STMS and import it from there...
I am trying to post this since yesterday but it is not allowing me to
thanks.

Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me what does Target and Source Database means ?
ThanksIt can get confusing! In RMAN the target is, usually, the database you wish to connect to to make, say, a backup.
When cloning, the Target is the Source database (i.e. the database you wish to make a clone of) and the clone is the Auxiliary.
However, terminologies can get a bit twisted in common parlance, with the Target database being referred to as the Source and the Auxiliary database being referred to as the Target!!!

Difference betwin Allacation sttucture and source structure
< MODERATOR: Message locked. Please post in the correct forum. >
Hi friends any one explian the difference betwin allocation structure and source structure.Hi
allocation structure defines the cost elements to be settled by cost elements. A source assignment is assigned to the allocation structure.
The source structure is used to settle costs incurred on the sender to various receivers, split by cost element. In this way, the source information is retained.
The source assignment defines the assignment of the debit cost element(s) to a receiver. More than one source assignments are summarized in one source structure -
Difference between source file and source structure
Hello,
I have a source file with around 60 fields. But I need to upload only 5 fields. I defined a source structure in LSMW with 5 fields and specified the file with 60 fields as the source file. But when the data is read, only 2 out of 5 fields are read. What should I do?
Thank youHi !!
In case you are selecting only limited fields form a file with more fields in LSMW . Please apply following consideration :
1. Add a dummy field in your source structure to make the whole structure size equal to the total width of all fields in the source file. This is because in LSMW the file is read for the length of the SOURCE STRUCTURE width only . So if i want to read only field3 in following example i still need toa dda dummy field to ensure LSMW reads a total width of source file as the FIELD3 is at absolute end of the source file from length 40 to 60 only .
For example :
if my source file ahs following firve fields : FIELD1 (10) , FIELD2(30),FIELD3 (20) .
Declare your source structure as : FIELD3 (20),FIELD_DUMMY (40) .
2. When you deifne the source file in LSMW step 7 take care to notify whether you have field names at start of file or the field order is same as
source structure .
This should close your issue or get in touch for more here buddy -
Target and Source Table - Query from ODI Repository
Hi folks,
Can anybody help me? I am trying to query the following from an ODI 11g work repository:
All tables and for each table the tables that are listed in designer as “filled by” (don’t know the exact translation as I am using a german ODI designer) – in other words “all tables and the tables they are depending on”. The reason is to perform a connect-by query on that.
There is a solution published on ODIEXPERTS: http://odiexperts.com/interface-mapping-query, but however it does not show me the expected results. Does anyone have an idea how to get a simple table like that:
TARGET SOURCE
TAB1 TAB2
TAB1 TAB3
TAB2 TAB4
TAB3 TAB5
TAB3 TAB6
TAB6 TAB7
Using the Metadata Navigator is no option as we don’t have Weblogic installed and I need the data for further processing. If memory serves you have an SNP_POP table still in that release, join to the Model table (the joins cols are obvious if I recall) to get the datastore names and your more or less there.
I dont have that table in 11.1.1.5 and we moved over a while back so cant really take a look anytime soon. -
AttachMovie using variable target and source names
I've frequently used variable names for the target but is it impossible to do this:
holder.attachMovie(["mcButton"+i], ["box" + i + "_btn"], this.getNextHighestDepth()*200, {_x: arrBtnX[i], _y: arrBtnY[i]});
I can't get it to work and I haven't been able to find an example. It doesn't work without the square brackets either.
Thanks
MarionThank you very much for replying. I had tried that before without success but I discovered I had given the 'holder' a different name (doh!) Now that I am using the correct name, I find that it's working but only the last target movieclip appears. When I trace(i) I get the full trace. When I trace(btnHldr["box" + i + "_btn"]._x) I get the correct figures.
I have double-checked the linkage names for the mcButton0-5 movieclips and they are correct. I suspect it's looping through and replacing the same source with the target. I'm a bit puzzled.

Message mapping---1 source structure and n target structures
I would like to know how many message mappings we need if we are mapping one source structure to 3 different target structures of a single receiver. I am assuming its just one message mapping.
Depending on the above answer how many interface mappings do we need.Kalyan,
you need multi-mapping that maps one source structure to multiple target structures. Just search multi mapping in SDN and you will find many good posts.
Basically, in MM editor, go to signature tab and in the target messages add additional message types. Simple. --> Only one MM and one IM

How to handle 1 Source Structure and N ( multiple Target Structure
Hi I have One source structure , Which is Source1 and mulitple target structure which Target1 , Target2 and Target3
I need Map this Source1 to Target1 and Target2 and Target3 based on the condition of one field of source1
ianyone please tell me how to do it
Thanking you
SridharHi Sridhar,
Yes Multimapping is possible without BPM from SP14 and above. But there are certain limitation on that as well. You can do only 1:N multi mapping and N:1 is not possible without BPM. In the case of 1:N mapping you would need to go for Enhanced Interface Determination and you will have a full advantage of that mapping if you use a adapter other than IDOC, HTTP and XI. In otherwords this holds good for adapters that runs on Adapter framework and not on Integration Engine.
BPM involved:

Same source structure and different target structure without BPM
Hi Experts,
I am using PI 7.11.My requirement is at sender side the source structure is same.Basically invoice data coming from ECC to PI as a proxy message.
Receiver side adapter is JMS.At target side ,PI has to send the invoice data to 2 receiver systems.Payment node is coming in source XML,which always comes from ECC.For one of the business system ,Payment node should be sent. For the other BS,this node should be supressed.how to achieve this with single mapping?Payload based routing is not possible in my case as i dont have any field which differentiate the receiving system name.
Regards,
KarthigaHi,
In receiver determination, just input the two receivers (no conditions). In message mapping, you can use the constant function called receiver to suppress or create the node. You can only test it by editing the parameters in test tab e.g
At runtime, this value (receiver) will be filled out by the entries in receiver determination. So only one mapping is needed.
Hope this helps,

Problem in work flow of PE while mapping 2 source structure into 1 target
We have scenario in BPM where in we have to mapp 2 source structure's into target.
To be more specific one structure occurance is 0 to unbounded and other one is of single occurance.
We have done the mapping with target structure and tested it manually in mapping . its working fine..
While testing it in Configuration scenario, In the workflow process i.e PE process flow, we were not able to get one of the source message structure as the input Message. Instead of two source messages, it is seen only one. Please guide us in this issue.actually we are receiving only one message, henece we do not need a correleation. But once we receive this message we are splitting into multiple messages in the transformation step. and we use these split messages in different transformation steps. but in one of the transformation steps we are unable see one of the split messages in the transformation step(though we have used the proper container element.). Please let me know if any ideas on this.

How to map multiple source structures to single target structure
Hi all,
I have the scenario of 2 input files so i am using BPM for it. I have created the message types of the 3 input files. I have to finally generate an XML file which will contain the data of all the 2 files. That is i have to do 3:1 mapping.
Source Structure of File 1:
<b>DT_PWC_Customer</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>CUSTOMER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO</b></i>
<i><b>CUSTOMER_NO</b></i>
Source Structure of File 2:
<b>DT_PWC_Customer</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>METER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO
METER_NO</b></i>
Target Structure of Final Output File:
<b>DT_PWC_CustomerMeterData</b>
<i>RECORDSET</i>
<u>CUSTOMER_METER</u>
<i><b>REF_NO
CUSTOMER_NO
METER_NO</b></i>
Above nodes i have shown in a heirarchical order..nodes with same indentation are at same level.
Can anybody tell me how to do this mapping in IR in graphical editor.
RAJEEV GUPTAHi,
To elaborate my requirement, I want to tell that since i will be having 2 input files- one for Customer & one for Meter. I want to finally generate one XML file which will have data from both these 2 input files. That is, if Customer file has 3 records(3 REF_NO, 3 CUSTOMER_NO) and Meter file has 4 records(4 REF_NO, 4 METER_NO), the final output XML file will have 7 records(7 REF_NO, 3 CUSTOMER_NO,4 METER_NO).
Thanks,

Mapping 2 source structures to a single target database
Hi Experts, My scenario is a Proxy to JDBC in which I need to send data from 2 source structures to 1 target table.
Source structures : Target:
ABC XYZ
row1 InsertStatement
Item1 DBTable
Action
(Fields) Table
acess
DEF -
row2 -
item2 -
(Fields)
(Fields)
Please let me know how to map the 2 source nodes to the target access node to transfer data from the source tables to target database.
Regards,
KrishnaYou should make use of BPM to collect the two source structures.
One of the BPM examples mentioned in IR --> SAP BASIS ---> SystemPatterns can be referred for this purpose.
Once the messages are collected, perform a 2:1 mapping (two Proxies as source message and one JDBC message as target).
If you want the mapping logic then please provide a proper format of both your Source and Target messages and the expected mapping, so that someone from SDN can help you out.
The target structure provided is a bit confusing.
Are you going to receive two different proxy messages (i.e. two different calls) or just one Proxy call and there you will have two different nodes within the same message??? ...... me confused
Regards,
Abhishek.

Syntax for Merge statement to insert into target and update source
Hello All,
I want to use Merge statement to insert records when not matched in my target and update records in source when matched. Is it possible to do using Merge statement.
create table a (aa number)
create table b (bb number)
alter table a add flg char(1)
merge b as target
using a as source
on (target.bb = source.aa)
when matched then
update set source.flg = 'Y'
WHEN NOT MATCHED THEN
insert (target.bb)
values
(source.aa)
Thanks.Hi,
I have no idea about the version of DB, else some new features with respect version can be specified - just for informaitve purpose and to post across the verison of DB in future posts.
Coming to your issue and requirement.
if you check the syntax and functionality , then its on Merge on target base only - with respect to Update (matched o columns) and insert (for unmatched columns). Source - as the term is clear. It might not work out on source table.

HI Gur's.
I have a requirement HTTP -post -Proxy.
Post will send the data in URL. we have written the udf for handling the to receive the data we are not mapping with source structure to target structure .Url data display in SOAP header only.how to store the soap header data ECC using in proxy receiver.thank you shahcsanjay for your reply
but I think that web.showDocument can not be used by ordinary java web application ..
I think it can be used only with with "oracle forms" Am I right ?
If no can you please tell me where can I find a useful document about how to use web.showDocument ...
