Reinstalled Acrobat 9; where are my PS MT fonts?

Hello,
After a full system crash over the holidays, I have had to start with reinstalling Windows 7 and then all of my software. Finally got around to Acrobat 9 and FrameMaker 9. Because of the issues with Arial/Times New Roman in the past versions of Acrobat, I have routinely formatted my documents using Arial MT and Times New Roman MT, which I understood to be installed by Acrobat.  I know I have never paid for them in the past. Now with this install, these fonts are nowhere to be found! All my Frame documents say the fonts are unavailable and indeed they are not listed in my Windows/Fonts folder. Can anyone help me with this issue or explain why they are not there with this installation of Acrobat?

If it doesn't recognise where you want the fields to be (guesswork at
best) you can add them manually in Acrobat.

  • Adobe Reader 9 - Where are the Extended Language Font Packs?

    To all:
I have been unable to locate where Adobe is hiding the font pack for Reader 9! I cannot find it anywhere on their site. I can find it for the 8.x Reader, but nowhere for 9.
I have found the MUI Reader (which is over 285MB in size) which does contain all of the font packs, plus the foreign language interface versions of Reader, but I only want the font packs to add to the Standard English Reader.
If anyone knows what happened...or what Adobe decided to do differently with font packs with Reader 9, please share any information you may have.
Thanks for listening and for the feed-back.

    I think I've found them:
    ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.0/misc/
I'll give this a try and see if it gives me what I want so that I can view Japanese fonts in 9.3.

  • Where are the recently used fonts?

Has this feature been hidden somewhere. It is tedious to constantly scroll through all my fonts just to select it each time.

I guess you are talking about Pages 5?
That has been gone for a year now.
Use Pages '09 if you have it.

  • Where are the stamps files with their crazy names located in the Macintosh

    Hey
I am looking for the files stamps with those crazy names. I work on a iMac OS X Tiger.
I have created a stamp and found the corresponding file in "acrobat user data" but I want to create a dynamic stamp.
I have found this tutorial :
    http://www.acrobatusers.com/tutorials/2007/custom_dynamic_stamp/
very helpfull but I am unable to find the dynamic file they mention in this tutorial.
I would like to know where are located the files, whith they coded names, corresponding to the models of stamps given by acrobat. Where are they located in the Macintosh ? I can't find them.

for the existing stamps, go to where Acrobat has been installed, right-click or ctrl-click the Acrobat package and select 'Show package contents'.
The browse to the following folder assuming you're using the English version of Acrobat:
    Contents/Plug-ins/Comments.acroplugin/Stamps/ENU/

  • Where are the promised "over 700" fonts?

The Adobe email announcing file and font sync said,
We're happy to announce that you can now sync the files and folders you store in Creative Cloud directly to your desktop with the Creative Cloud desktop app. Also, your membership now includes access to over 700 fonts from Typekit, which can be quickly and easily synced to your computer. [emphasis added]
So I eagerly logged into my TypeKit account, via Creative Cloud, and when I filter down to only the fonts for desktop use, there are only 205!
So where are the other 500 fonts Adobe just advertised?

Here's the full message from Adobe:
We're happy to announce that you can now sync the files and folders you store in Creative Cloud directly to your desktop with the Creative Cloud desktop app. Also, your membership now includes access to over 700 fonts from Typekit, which can be quickly and easily synced to your computer.
Ready to begin? If you don’t already have the Creative Cloud desktop app, grab it from the Download Center—it’s free with your membership. If you already have it installed, just relaunch the app. Then go to the Files or Fonts panel to start syncing.
As you can see, it very clearly says "over 700 fonts from Typekit, which can be quickly and easily synced to your computer." And this couldn't be referring to just the TypeKit library because there were over 900 fonts in Typekit when this email went out.

  • Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?

Where are the settings to make Acrobat software recognize my scanner?  I've had my computer on a road trip.  When I returned to the home office, I can't get Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro software to recognize my scanner, which is a 4-in-one printer.  Acrobat will print to the printer, but I can't get it to recognize the scanner to scan a document.  Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Open the Acrobat application(Acrobat X) and later navigate to Create>PDF from scanner>Configure presets and later select the Scanner which is connected to your computer and check it will work.
If you are getting two options ie WIA and TWAIN please select TWAIN as Acrobat is compatible with TWAIN interface than WIA.

  • Plugins for Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  Where are they??

In Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Software on the menu bar open Help > About Adobe Plugins.  A list of installed and/or available plugins for the program are displayed and marked certified.  However, several of the plugins listed are also listed as not installed.  It appears plugins are downloaded by default during initial installation since I hadn't actually contributed to the list's contents.  There doesn't seem to be a way manage plugins?  Where are these missing plugins and how do I install them.  Please advise only if you know the answer. I am running Win7 64bit.

Plugins are stored in the folder plugins of Acrobat. Not all plugins are loaded at startup of Acrobat.

  • I have to reinstall Fireworks CS5 and Flash Pro CS5. WHERE ARE THEY?

    Hello,
I recently changed system and I nned to download these programs. Where are they hidden???
    Thanks for your help
(God forbid I could ask someone from Adobe that question, but there's no way to send them an email!)

Download the trial version from http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
Ensure that you follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first otherwise the links will not work.
When you launch the trials, enter your serial number, when prompted, to license them.

  • Where are .joboptions files stored in Acrobat Pro 9?

Can't find 'em by a search, and I want to transfer the ones I've been using to my laptop. Where are they? Thanks in advance!

Thanks, Steve. Actually, the ones I needed--my custom settings--were stored in a similar path: [username]>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Adobe PDF>Settings. What's interesting is that if you do a search for ".joboptions", none of these are found. Curious!
I'll make a note of this path.

  • Have just reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI and the Fit and shrink to page size options are not working - Any ideas?

When printing to a laser device my Acrobat Pro XI all of a sudden was not shrinking oversized pages to fit on paper. The Fit and Shrink to page options did not work. Could still output file reduced by using the percentage box but wondered if anyone else has encountered this problem before? Reinstalled Acrobat but problem still there.

I suddenly have started having this same problem. Anyone have an answer?

  • Do I need to follow a procedure for reinstalling acrobat 7.0 professional?

I need to perform a system recovery on my laptop and I wonder if I am going to have any issues reinstalling acrobat 7.0 professional.

Or if you can deactivate before the recovery it might do the job. Sometimes a recovery is not needed, but you can reinstall the OS without recovery. To do that you will find instructions on the new, but if you follow the install button rather than recovery you should reach a screen that gives you a choice to reinstall or repair. The repair is more likely what you want. In that case, system files are replaced, but your system retains most other parts of your setup.
Here is a link with directions for XP (Note the page where it says to NOT use the restore). http://pcsupport.about.com/od/operatingsystems/ss/instxprepair1.htm
Similar processes are available for Win 7. The steps that MicroSoft provides that suggest to use Restore to repair your machine are misleading. The repair you want is part of the install process (review the screen shots in the line). I have done this several times and it is a life saver for someone like me who has a lot of software that is not part of the original installation included in the system -- in fact most of the software I use regularly.

  • Reinstall Acrobat Reader X on all computers

We may have to reinstall Acrobat Reader X on all 950 computers on our network.
The admins have used SCCM to install version 10.1.0.
I may have to rollback to version 9.4 if the problems we are having with version 10.1.0 are not solved.
Any recommandations on how to remove 10.1.0. We could the use SCCM to install version 9.4.
    Thanks.

Thank you!  I have the same setup w/ linked home dir and I have the same problem w/ Adobe Reader 10.  I've been Googling for some time trying to find a solution.  This is the first post I've seen where someone has referenced "linked home directory".
Does anyone know the solution to this?

  • Attempt to reinstall Acrobat CS3

when I attempt to reinstall Acrobat CS3 the installer asks for a Premier CS4 disc. I did try out Premier CS4 years ago but have long since deleted the 30 day trial. So what does it take to reinstall Acrobat so I can get back to work. Did installing the trial of Photoshop CS6 mess up CS3?

Erm, where to begin? You are trying to install an older version over a newer version after years only after having trialled an even newer version? This cannot work. There are dependencies for shared components everywhere. Attempt to manually uninstall everything (including the CS6 Beta!), run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, clean out the remnants and then reinstall in proper order.

  • Where are my books!? Sync-ed iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Win7 with new iPad3 WiFi/3G and iTunes shows (on my PC) that I have 590 "ebooks" (PDF's

Not to repaet myself, but... where are my ebooks?
I sync-ed iTunes 10.6.3.25 on Win7 with new iPad3 WiFi/3G and iTunes shows (on my PC) that I have 590 "ebooks" (PDF's & a few epub's) on my iPad, but for the life of me I can't seem to get to them on the iPad3 itself. If I open iTunes on the iPad3 it only shows a bland grey screen with a link to the "iTunes Stores Terms and Conditions…"? And my iBooks is empty, so is Acrobat Reader which I installed?
    What gives? Gulp… help!?

    That is troubling!
I downloaded the Kindle app on my iPad1 tonight, logged into my Amazon.com account and was able to download the books I had bought on my Kindle to my iPad!  I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!
