Rejection e-mail to creator

We have a process where the approver will receive an e-mail when a cart needs to be approved.  But, I also need a process where an e-mail will then go to the creator if the cart is changed significantly or rejected because the cart is actually back in their inbox and they don't know it (unless they go into SRM regularly).
We were actually testing the approver e-mail feature where they would have a link on the e-mail to either approve or reject.  I have been unable to get that to work in our Dev client recently because of some e-mail issues. Therefore, I would prefer to concentrate on generating an e-mail to the creator. When we were able to get it to work, the creator did receive the e-mail about the changed/rejected cart.
What steps are necessary to send an e-mail to the creator?

Monique,
You can see every mails processed by SAPConnet (whatever their processing status) via SOST, that's why it should not be given to everybody.
You now say that you have the "approval" / "reject" link in your mail.
You previously said that this was only working in your dev system:
"The e-mail does not have a link at the bottom of the e-mail to either accept or reject via e-mail (we do have the link set up in Dev)".
Anyhow, when clicking on one of those 2 links, the approver sends a mail to a SRM technical user (like WF-BATCH). But instead of remaining in the mailbox of the mail server, those mails are redirected to SRM server (ask your Basis guy about mail relay between Outlook/Lotus and SRM). For this a SRM WAS SICF service is called. So the reply is now in the SRM inbox (you can switch your reply user, WF-BATCH, to a dialogue user, connect with this user ID and look at its SAP inbox).
(Normally, we define a redirection from WF-BATCH to a dialogue ADMIN user).
Then the job RBBP_OFFLINE_EVAL is processing those inbound mails to update SC status accordingly to approval decision (in fact it executes the WI in SRM).
Look at online help:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/88/f7423b4ac8d506e10000000a11402f/content.htm
If you approve directly in SRM, the notifications are also sent to the actors depending on the customizing.
If redirection is activated (FORWARD_WI), then notification mails are sent to SAPConnect via RSWUWFMLEC. And finally they can be found in SOST.
Have also a look at following link, where distinction between "Approval" and "Messages" mails is done:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm40/helpdata/en/ee/8804050393ea4596330fe181092003/content.htm
In WF execution environment (SWU1), you can also check if notification steps have been executed, and with which recipients (look into WF container).

  • Mail rejecting outbound mail, gives error message

Apple mail is all of a sudden rejecting outbound mail. It leaves this Error message:
"This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered."
"The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server."
At noon it sent mail fine. A half hour later it won't send anything.
Mail host is not the problem as outbound mail goes fine through the host's web gateway.
I brought down and rebuilt all the account information once this morning, temporarily fixed it, now the problem is back.
Any ideas on what is going on and how to fix it?
    Thanks.

  • EREC: Change the subject of rejection e-mail

    Hi everyone,
I'd like to change the rejection e-mail's Subject, but I can't find the customizing, or the relevant part of the code, where the subject is created.
I checked the workflow log (transaction swell) and I think I found the part when the email is created there are two task:
There is to Activity "Create activity" and "Send document"
The first one is using the
ERC_ACTIV - CREATEACTFROMDATA method to create the activity
ERC_ACTIV - PROCESSDOCUMENT  is to send the document
    It is using the cl_hrrcf_act_abstract_corr_rec:
    * Document will be sent by the channel EMAIL.
           CALL METHOD LO_ACT_CORR->PROCESS_DOCUMENT
             EXPORTING
               CHANNEL  = 'E_MAIL'
             IMPORTING
    *    DOCUMENT =
                RETURN   = LT_RETURN
The problem is that I debugged several times, but can't find the place, where the subject of the e-mail is created.
Do you have any idea, where can I change the subject of the rejection e-mail?
    Thanks & Bye
    N.

    Hello,
The standard system uses the description of the smartform as the subject of the e-mail so you could copy the smartform and change the description to suit your requirement. If you wish to put your own logic for getting the subject at runtime I think it is done in class CL_HRRCF_CS_DOC_CAT_SF_SUPER. In there is method set_subject I think. You will then maybe copy this and make your own class with the required methods and use them while sending a smartform. Hope this helps.

  • E-recruiting: Change of the sender in reject  e-mail for candidate

    Hello!!
In e-recruiting 6.0 we needed modify the direction of the sender in reject  e-mail for candidate (activity u201Cnotification rejectu201D).
At the moment, when a notification reject is sent, it appears the personal electronic direction of the recruiter who executes the activity (notification reject). The personal electronic direction (of recruiter) is registered in infotipo 105 subtype 0010.
It is required that the sender direction is a generic direction (for example: work_with_us@example).
¿How I can realise this change?
    Thanks,
    Alicia

    Hi,
in addition to the two solutions already mentioned I'd like to throw in the following two options:
Instead of linking a workflow to every activity creation you could build an easy background job which runs once in a while sending the planned simple correspondences and invitations. The result would be the same as the workflow solution the sender is the user under which the job s planned.
More flexible as not hard build in and development free would be a solution using the open correspondences function. You create a dummy user with the work_with_us@example e-mail using report RCF_CREATE_USER. This user is used to send all open correspondences and invitations manually. Of course this is more processing steps for the recruiters but if you need flexibility this is the price to pay.
    Kind Regards
    Roman

  • Why is my "sender address rejected by mail server" where do i look to fixzzz/

why is my "sender address rejected by mail sercer"  where do i go to fix?

Without knowing the sender address, it's impossible to say why it was rejected. Was the address in the proper format; did you type it in yourself, or did you use one stored in Address Book?
Be more specific and cite the exact text of the error message (but don't include the actual email address) in your reply.

  • Rejecting Unauthenticated mail from local domains

    Hi,
My users connect to my mail gateway to relay their mails using SMTP AUTH. This is working fine.
Now, i want to make sure that when I see From: header containing my local domain and SMTP AUTH is not used, i want to reject the mail.
I am thinking the following line would do it if added to FROM_ACCESS section of my MAPPINGS on gateway. I want to be certain before I test this as I will have to test this during a downtime and my duration would be rather short. Please help.

  • Is there a mail server limit that it just rejects e-mails

We have a lot of people e-mailing at once today. Probably more than I have ever seen. I was watching the queue and it was delivering a lot of messages at once. My question is a few people in cluding myself started to see something weird. My mail client in OSX came up with the password box saying it couldn't authenticate me out of the blue. It has never done that before and I'm on IMAP to the server. Then another person said they got a message from the server saying that there is no mailbox for this user on the system when there actually is and they have been receiving mail for a while. But out of the blue this starts happening when it seemed like the queue had a lot in it. It eventually delivered everything in the queue and now everything seems to be a peace again.
I just need to know if there is some limit on the mail system that tells it to reject stuff at a cetain point, or is there a way to turn off any limits so that it doesn't do this at all? Our server is a high end Intel xServer and shouldn't have a problem dealing with this. We also have an OC 192 connection to the internet, so I know that's not the issue either. Just wondering if anyone else knows what I'm talking about or how to fix it if this is an issue.

Right now I have 130 users in the system doing mail. I'm about to ad another 50 or more. So anywhere from 200 - 250 users total. As for the logs I'm not sure how to go back that far yesterday to see what was happening. All I know is everyone wasn't able to send mail or get mail for a moment and then it slowly cleared up. I think it's around that time I saw all those messages in the mail queue being delivered. Here is the output of Postconf -n:

  • CATS - It is possible to change the content of the Rejection e-mail?

    Hi all,
we are in ECC 6.0 and have implemented CATS.
Do you know if it is possible (and how!) to change the content of the e-mail that is sent to the employee in case of CATS rejection?
    Thanks and regards,
    Cristiana

    Hello, nice idea!
I did figure out that the program use text elements, however, one is not allowed to change them. I then raised an OSS note and SAP raplied that I couldn't change the text elements - I really don't like the email that is sent from CATS rejection!
I really ike the sound of your idea. I am not familiar with translations though. Would you be able to detail it a bit more about how to translate a text element?
When I get to the text element screen, if i follow menu path Goto > Translation, a screen pops up asking me to chose a Target Language. What should I do then? Select the target language to EN (the original language is EN) ? And then, how do I make sure that the program uses the translated text?
Thanks a lot for your help!
    Cheers,

  • Valid POP password rejected by mail

I've seen this problem before with my mother-in-law's account, and wasn't able to resolve it so she simply stopped using my server for her email, but that's not an option for me, so here's the situation as near as I can tell.
One of my POP3 accounts started instantly erroneously showing "POP server rejected the password" a couple days ago. I've verified that it's a Mail issue by both logging in to webmail on my server with the same login info as Mail has, and then also configuring Thunderbird with identical info and it successfully logged in and downloaded all messages.
The error message actually pops up even before it could possibly attempt a login to the server, but I'm not sure where else I can check to troubleshoot. I tried repairing the Keychain, and it reported no problems. I also tried deleting any Keychain entry for that account to no avail either.
Further information that links it to Mail.app instead of the server or another ISP-related problem is that I have a couple other POP addresses on the exact same server that don't have any problems logging in.

    Hi,
Could you please specify more precisely WHEN the error message is shown?
For I have a client that has the same problem and we tracked it down to a stupid timeout problem in Mail - description
    - Start Mail
    - Check for new messages
    - Activity window shows that Mail is sending user name/password to the POP3 server
    - Mail is waiting for the "+OK User johndoe has xx unread messages." message from the server
(actually it is only waiting for "+OK" part of the conversation but ....)
    - The problem arises when my client leaves to many unread messages on the server. Then it takes SEVERAL MINUTES before the server will come back after Mail did send user name/password.
HOWEVER (lil' stupid) Mail has a timeout of (iirc) 1 minute before it gives up assuming that user name/password was incorrect. And displays the dreaded error message "POP server rejected password"...
So - please test with Terminal or any other programm how long it takes (after providing user name/password) until the POP3 server comes back with the message "+OK"....
This will help diagnose the problem.
    Cheers,
    Walter

  • TA22531 Still experiencing the same problem. iCloud .me password constantly rejected by mail client... Really annoying.

I still haven't found a satisfactory answer to this problem. That problem raises lots of complaints but apparantly Apple doesn't care...

The reason I asked is because your question appears in the category for the old Mac OS X v10.3 and earlier, not the current 10.7 (Lion).  Therefore, your question will not be seen by as many forum users who are familiar with the topic.
You may want to re-ask, after selecting the appropriate category (starting here)
    https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa
I'll try to help too, if I can...  If you use the same password to log in at icloud.com, does it work?
Using Mail, is the password always ("constantly") rejecting the password, or only sometimes?
