  • Invoice rejected in the invoice workflow.

    Hi there.
We have only one level workflow for ours invoices.
The process is: an employee creates the invoices in SRM, then all of them go to the approver.
But if the approver rejects an invoice, the employee (invoice creator) can not see the invoice in the approval inbox, but he can see it in the “Display and Process Invoices Centrally” menu.  He only can display and not modify. So the user only can see or delete it. The employee can not modify and send to the approver again.
We can not find any OSS note related to it. Is it a standard behaviour?
    Thanks and regards.
    Raúl.

    Hi,
Is this a standard SAP workflow that you are using or a custom developed workflow.

  • Send an email to previous approver after rejection in OOB Approval workflow

    Hi all,
I have created OOB Approval workflow with two approvers.
If first approver rejects then i want it to send an email to the requester.
If second approver rejects then i want it to send an email to the first approver as well as requester?
Is there any way to acheive this?
And same should happened when document is approved
Also how to identify that the first approver has completed their task?

    Hi Trupti,
you can do that using SharePoint designer workflows:
you can do that by putting the actions in the complete condition so you check who approved it and based on that you do the actions of sending email so it will be if conditions and where to put that in here

Completion conditions for the task process
When you click the completion conditions, you’re taken to a full-page workflow editor where you can add or change the completion conditions that for the task process. Specifically, these actions
will run every time an individual task is completed. You can customize the logic here using the workflow commands in SharePoint Designer, like conditions, actions, and else-if statements. You can also add task behavior actions, like the Set Content Approval
    Status and End Task Process.

    Behavior of a single task
From the summary page, if you change the behavior of a single task, you’re taken to another full-screen workflow editor where you see the individual task events, such as when it’s assigned, pending,

Before a task is assigned: These actions run before every individual task is created.
When a task is pending: These actions run after every individual task has been created.
When a task expires: These actions run every time an individual task is incomplete after its due date.
When a task is deleted: These actions run every time an individual task is deleted before it’s completed.
When a task completes: These actions run every time an individual task is complete.
You can add any of the available conditions and actions, and you can add several more task behavior actions this time, like append, delegate, escalate, and reassign. You can even add task notification
emails and wait for changes in a task process item. The available task behavior actions change depending on the event you’ve selected.

  • Workflow - resubmit rejected content thru DIS

    Hey
I have a problem with a workflow. The problem occurs when a contributor is working with content that was previously rejected in a workflow through the DIS. They make the changes recommended by the reviewer and check it back in, but the content is not moving on to the next workflow step. The manual says that they should be able to set a flag named Revision Finished Editing, but it is not appearing in the metadata field screen when I do a "Checkin with metadata". Note that I can see this field if I do the checkin through the web client, just not in the DIS.
Is this a bug, or do I have to do something to get this check box to appear?
    Cheers,
    A

    Hi Alec,
I wonder what needs to happen before a Desmo_Mk* user gives points for "Helpful" or "Correct" answer to anyone and marks the question as "Answered". It is strange to me - unlike many other users of this forum you didn't mind to invest 153 keystrokes to express your gratitude, and yet - no points?
    Never mind.
There is actually one thing you could try (which would alleviate your training issue a little bit): you might have noticed that the appearance of the "Workflow" line is a feature of DOC_INFO. You could try to modify the output of this service (this will be an idocScript customization- I assume quite a simple one) to expose not only the name of the workflow, but also APPROVE (and REJECT, if you will) workflow actions. Then you should verify whether this change affects also DIS.
This would save your users two mouse-clicks.

  • Material group chang even when request is rejected

    Hi Experts,
I am designing a WF where to change the Material Group need approval of supervisor if rejected by supervisor workflow initiator will get a mail for rejection and material group will not be changed.
I designed and linked it to the event the WF is triggering properly but the problem is when supervisor reject the request the WF initiator get a mail but Material group is not set to itu2019s previous value it is getting changed.
    Regards
    Bikas

    Hello Bikas,
The workflow is going to be triggered only when you save the changes that you have made to the material group. So to revert the changes when the superior rejects the proposal, You have to create a method in which the the material group is changed to the previous value. For that reason what I feel, get the previous value of the material group from the CDHDR and CDPOS tables and create a background process(a BDC) which updates the material group to the previous value. Use this method in a step in the workflow that you have designed.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Workflow SharePoint 2010 -Approval workflow for multiple users

Want to create a 2010 SharePoint server workflow which will allow me to send email once item is added > Start approval process > if approved then mark workflow status as approved and then send email to reviewer 2 and again start the process of approving
    > and approved then again mark status to approved and send email to reviewer 3 and mark status to approved if approved by reviewer 2 and end the workflow. Also, if the item is not approved by any user, then it should directly log a comment and go to end
    of the workflow.
I had started as something like :
    Send Email to rev1
Start approval process for current item with rev1
    if approval status is approved
    set workflow status to approved
send email to rev2 and so on...everything works but when rev1 rejects the item, then workflow does not go to end of the workflow. One difficult thing is we don't have go to a step option like in 2013 workflows.
I don't know how to move on as when I try to execute the logic, all three approval process(for 3 reviewers) run even if item is rejected .....Please help

The Role has an access policy with with 5 Resource Objects, and each RO has 5 entitlements. and after the manager approves the request should go to entitlement owner.
The No of resources binded with access policy and entitlements in each RO wont be fixed.
How can we handle this situation.?
One approval policy on Assign Role Request with so many approval tasks decided at run time, at that many callbacks. Is it possible even?

  • Sample Proposal Cost field

    hi all,
I wanted to experiment with creating a sample proposal workflow (PS2010 no service pack or patch levels..yet!!). anyway the sample project custom fields have been deleted by our administrator (such as "Sample Proposal Cost", Sample Primary Objectives" etc..
when i create a sample proposal based on the proposal OOTB workflow i get this error message..
Because the Sample Proposal Cost field was set to more than one million the proposal was automatically rejected. To successfully restart your project, you must first change the Sample Proposal Cost to something less
than one million then have your project's workflow restarted.
now i know what this is saying..however..there is no PDP with the sample proposal cost field on it? i tried recreating a field and putting in a value..still no luck..
will SP1 resolve this for me? HELP needed

    Nikki --
I suspect your Project Server administrator broke the sample proposal workflow feature when he/she deleted the Sample custom fields.  Furthermore, I do not believe you can simply try to recreate the missing fields manually, as these fields are tied
to the PDPs used in proposals.  By chance, did your Project Server administrator ever back up the custom fields in Project Server 2010 using the automated or manual backup feature?  If so, he/she could restore the custom fields and then you would
be able to use the sample proposal workflow.  Let us know and we will try to help.

  • Notifications Issue in Workflow

    Hi People,
I am using jump for Rejection Action inside Criteria Workflow, I used <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$> to stop the standard notifications, but still i get both custom and standard notification emails. Here is my code for rejection,
    <$if wfAction like "REJECT"$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "RejectAction")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
    <$wfMailSubject="Notification - <$dDocTitle$> Report has been REJECTED"$>
    <$wfNotify(dDocAuthor, "user", "WFRTemplate")$>
    <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(-1))$>
    <$wfMailSubject="System Generated -  Please Ignore"$>
    <$endif$>
How can I stop the Standard email Notifications, Please help !!!
    Regards,
    Deepthi

I tried the mentioned approach of creating a 2 step workflow which has the following steps :
    Created a criteria workflow .
Added following steps : -Reject Notification step(Edit/reveiw Step)-- added the condition -if wfAction like reject --notify the author with the custom template else move to next step with following piece of code :
       <$if wfAction like "REJECT"$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfNotify(dDocAuthor,"user","MY_WF_REJECT_MAIL")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$else$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpName", "Test1")$>
      <$wfSet("wfJumpTargetStep", wfCurrentStep(1))$>
      <$endif$>
-Approval step-(Edit/reveiw Step)-- in this reviewer is notified for the approval.
Now I'm stuck in --when the reviewer rejects the content both custom and OOTB mails are being sent though I have used <$wfSet("wfJumpEntryNotifyOff", "1")$> in each step.
Now I'm not able to figure out what exactly needs to be done to suppress the OOTB notification.
    Thanks,

  • Vendor create process using workflow

    hello,
I have been assigned a project to desgin a process to automatically create a vendor. below is what I think has to be done. can this be reviewed to see if this is the correct approch and if not, suggest a better approach.
    1) the vendor will sign onto our portal and submit their information to have them created as a vendor in our system. this information will be stored in a custom table
    2) the portal process will have a ABAP program that generates the screen for the user to enter thier data. this program will also start a workflow that will send a notification to a person inside our company for them to review the information and decide weather the vendor can be added.
    3) if the person approves the request, the workflow will submit a process to create the vendor, and send a approval email to the vendor
    4) If the person rejects the process, the workflow will send an rejecction email will be sent to the vendor
I am in charge of creating the workflow and submitting the vendor create process
thanks in advance for the help

Take a look at the Workflow collateral located on http://otn.oracle.com/products/integration/content.html.
I'd also suggest looking at the Sample Workflow Processes included with Oracle Workflow.

    Hi,
Could anyone give me a case study describing how to create a new process using workflow builder? Where are the notifications saved in the database? Where is the process saved? Give me a general flow of events in the creation of, say a document management process wherein all these details are specified. A document containing the whole flow involved in the creation of a process using workflow builder. What all PL/SQL procedures I need to write and all. I have both workflow server and builder installed.
This would be of immense help.

  • Edit option not enabled for workflow content from within Content Presenter in Webcenter Spaces

I have a webcenter spaces portal page with a content presenter displaying a html page using the default out of the box template. The html page is located in webcenter content / UCM under a folder on which the " All Reviewer" seeded workflow is enabled. The issue i am seeing is when the file is in workflow the edit option is not being enabled even though the reviewer should be able to edit/approve the content in this step. The other functions like workflow approve or reject and switching between workflow version and published version are all enabled. Also when rejected the content does not show edit option from the content presenter (cntrl-C option) for the original author to make any updates.
What would need to be done to enable editing from within the content presenter for workflow content?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi Sreedhar
    We are using WCP 11.1.1.8.5
    To recreate the issue
    1)  Login to WCC Portal: Spaces as admin user , create a New Page under a webcenter spaces portal
    2)  Under the space , Pages Section , select the page and click edit
    3) In Design mode , choose Content Management and Add Document Explorer and Add Content Presenter on the page
    4)  The Document Explorer will default to the Current Space/portal directory under MyWebcenterSpaces in UCM
    5) Create a directory "content" under the Portal space using the document explorer.
    6) Right Click on Content folder and choose details. In Details view , go to File->workflow settings and pick a seeded workflow -> MyWCSAllReviewer. Add a user as workflow approver
    7) After workflow is enabled on this folder upload a basic html page with simple text into this folder
    8) Now in the design mode choose edit in the content presenter and select the "single content view" with default template to display an Image or HTML. Click browse and select the html that was added to workflow
    9) Save the Page and view the portal. Workflow should now be enabled for any content changes to that html page.
    10) Click Cntrl-shift-c in portal/space as an authenticated user with edit access to content and make an edit to content , this will trigger worklow . The author currently will see edit option get disabled once content enters workflow
    11)  Login as approver to the portal and cntrl-shift-C to the portal and workflow options(approve and reject) are enabled but the edit option is not. If you reject content , the author should be able to edit content in the content presenter mode, this also is not available. The issue is the content is now no longer available for editing from wthin content presenter if it is in workflow to either the approver or the original author depending on workflow step. If you check the same content under the document explorer the option to edit is enabled. Is this a bug /issue with content Presenter or some option needs enabled?

  • Url link in User Decision workflow step

    Hi Experts,
I had created a workflow for "Employee transfer" process using SWDD tcode.
I had a created a workflow step with type as "User Decision".I had included "Approve" & "Reject" decision options.
Now i want to include URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in the user decision workflow step (i.e) The manager needs to see the URL link along with "Approve" & "Reject" in his SAP workflow inbox.
    Can anyone guide me...
    Regards,
    Krishna Balaji T

    Hi Krishna,
I understand your issue. I have faced a similar issue in my project.
    Here is the solution!
To add link of a URL you need to have the binding with the BO of the transaction your are refering to. To do this, you need to bind your BO event (triggering event) to the workflow container and then the workflow container to task container. This BO value should flow from event-> workflow -> task container to get the link in the User Decision.
To do the binding you need to follow the following steps:
    1. Go to t-code SWDD and open your workflow template.
    2. Go to Basic Data (cap sign button at the top of the screen) or click Ctrl + F8
    3. Go to Start Events tab.
    4. In the Object type enter your BO name (BO for the transaction you need to add as link), in Event of object enter the BO event. This would serve as the triggering event for your workflow.
    5. Click on 'B' i.e. Binding Defined, click on generate automatic binding. It would automatically generate the appropriate binding for the workflow. You can also alter the binding as per requirement. This binding would ensure that the URL comes under 'objects and attachments' section.
    6. Click on 'C' i.e. Start Condition. A dialog would open, select the appropriate start condition for the workflow. Check the condition before saving (recommended).
    6. Click on 'A' to Activate the binding and start condition. All 'A', 'B' and 'C' would get green.
    7. Save the changes made and activate your workflow.
    8. Do the binding between the workflow and the user decision step. Select automatic binding (recommended).
You can also refer to the similar thread that I had provided solution to. This would help you resolve the issue!
Re: URL of site has to be attached along with the mail
    Hope this helps!
