Relevance of price reference materials

hi,
sap gurus,
what is the relevance or importance of the field
price reference material in the material master record.
my id is [email protected]\
regards,
balaji.t

The pricing reference material can be used to define the condition records for group of materials. For all these materials you have to assign the pricing reference material.
Once this is done; the condition record defined for the reference material gets applied to all the materials for which this reference material is assigned.
This saves time for condition record maintainance and as well the system performance.

  • Costing relevancy in bill of materials

    Hi Experts,
We have default settings to mark items in bill of materials as costing relevant, we have certain materials for which we do not want default costing relevancy as waht has been sent in default values. but for most of the materials default settings should be applicable.
is ther any settings where for certain materials default settings can be overwritten, do not cost in costing tab page did not worked, and default costing relevancy was taken for item.
    Thanks in advance
    Anand

    Dear,
Pipeline materials are relevant for costing it pickup price from the Info-record. If you don't want to cost that item you need to remove its costing relevancy from bill of material. Or else define it as non valuated material and then assign it in BOM.
Bulk material are not cost relevant it will available in mass. For the standard cost estimate and the calculation of planned costs and actual costs for a work order, will not included in costing.
You can not make it material specific setting default for the BOM.
In OS18 you can define you own cost Relevancy  and by BOM usage in OS20
Customizing under Production -> Basic Data -> Bill of Material -> General Data -> BOM Usage -> Define BOM Usages.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Assignment of Price reference plant

    Hi Experts,
Is there any other way to assign Price Reference Plant in Plant configuration other than SPRO path?
    Thank You in advance.

    Hi,
We can maintain table view of 'OIAMP' using the transaction SM30 other than SPRO route.

  • Price reference date field is not editable in ML81N copy function

    Hello Everyone,
When we create a Service entry sheet via the copy function in ML81N, we notice that the Price Reference date field (ESSR-LBLDT) is display only.   Is there anyway we can make this an optional (editable) field.   We tried looking in the configuration for the screen layout but could not find anything that would change this.
    Thanks,
    Hoonaid

    Hello Basrai,
The service entry sheet (SES) is always posted with teh PO price. No new price determination is carried out in the SES.
That's why the field ESSR-LBLDT cannot be changed in ML81N.
You can make use of the user exit EXIT_SAPLMLSR_010 to change this behaviour. See the function module documentation for more info.

  • Request for ADF 10g books and reference materials

    Hi All,
I currently have a requirement to develop ADF application using the SOA Suite 10.1.3
Can anybody suggest any good book or reference materials for ADF BC application development in jdeveloper 10g?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Justin

Thanks for the prompt reply. The DataBindings.cpx page is unchanged entirely; the pageDefs have the following (presumably normal) changes:
    - "version" in the "pageDefinition" tag changed from 10.x to 11.1.1.x
    - All iterators have an additional attribute: Refresh = "ifNeeded"
    - All actions have their Action attribute changed from a number to a string, eg. 'Action = "100"' becomes 'Action = "commitTransaction"'
What confuses me the most is that the number of rows is correct, but the data is not there -- neither in the attributes nor in the iteration variable "row."

  • Mat Ledger, Per.Unit Price for materials showing wronglu in Group Valuation

    Hi,
Periodic Unit Price of the materials for plant 1300 belongs to company code 1300 showing wrong value in Group Valuation.
Usually Periodic price for all valuations viz., Legal, Group and Profit center valuations should be same, why because we are using same cost component structure in order to arrive the actual cost for all the above three valuations.
Even though Group Valuation of Per. Unit Price is not matching with the Legal and profit center valuations Per. Unit Price. But both legal and profit center valuations are matching.
Please note that, actual cost component split for actual costing is not activated for plant 1300.
When analyzing this issue, it is observed that only the settlement value in between the Group, Profit center and legal valuation is differing for material ledger document.
But accounting document, PCA document, controlling documents are updating correctly.
Please help us how can i proceed to get the details of cost components, even actual cost component structure is not activiated for actual costing.
what are the possible reasons for differing values in Group valuations.
    Regards,
    S Vasu
Because of this reason system is calculating different values in group valuation (comparatively with legal and PCA valuations) at lower levels and flowing the same values to multilevel.

  • Prices for Materials

    Hi SRM GURUS
We are implementing SRM 4.0  and we have 3 plants in various  locations and each one have a specific material price in the respective plant.
    Say
Mumbai Plant  Material 1  Price is  100
Delhi Plant   Material 1  Price is  104
Tamil nadu Plant Material 1 Price  is  106
How ever while uploading the prices from the backend to SRM via transcation SA38 Program -
"EBP_GET_BACKEND_PRICES"  we specific the material code
and the backend system. In System we can set the avareage price or first price.
How do we upload price plant specific.
    regards
    Nimish Sheth

    Hi  Guys !
Materials are upload thorugh backend through transcations R3AS after setting proper filters in R3AC1.
In R/3 we have plant specific materials and price is also plant specific through accounting view.
Now I have one query -
If we create a new material in r/3 in mumbai plant we need to extend the same material to other plants
Now  in EBP there is no such plant concept while uploading the material in EBP so how do we achive following
1 Do we have to maintain a Pilot plant which will consist all the material and upload the same.
2 If there are certain materials existing only in Delhi plant and requirement is that only the employees of delhi can only access the same materials. How  do we restrict the Mumbai Plant employees not viewing the same materials.
3 If we do not have a pilot plant and materials are scattered in various plant is it that we have to compile all the material to one file and then upload .
    regards.
    Nimish Sheth

  • How do i determine a selling price for materials within a plant?

does SAP provide any std report to get the list price and the selling price for a material?

i think we are maintaining condition type for list price. I am not a functional consultant so dont have much idea. We have a new request where the customer would like to have a report to see the list price and the selling price for a material. So just wanted to find out if there is any std report available in SAP?

  • Removing color casts, and correcting colors to match reference materials? any guides/tutorial/videos

I have been looking for tutorials showing how to use SpeedGrade. I am now comfortable with the UI enough to use it after watching these: http://www.youtube.com/user/AdobeTV/videos?query=speedgrade
I am looking for tutorials that show how to do a couple things, first I would like to be able to remove any color casts. In photoshop to do this you can use a curves layer and use the set white point color picker and click somplace that is supposed to be white. and in premier you could do something similar using the Fast Color Corrector. So basically I am looking for a way to target an area in a frame that should be grays, In Anime, the eyes generally will always be shades of gray, so that is what I would target usually when working with anime in photoshop/premiere. If anyone knows of a tutorial that shows how to do this type of color cast removal color correction in SpeedGrade could you please share a link.
Some of the older 80's and 90's anime on film, the film has aged and that is where the color cast came from. There is also a loss of color information across the board. For instance in the below picture. The sky is supposed to be more blue instead of teal/sea green.
Another thing is back in the 80s and 90s a lot of Anime worked from limited color palletes; something like maybe 16 colors total, so a lot of colors are used repeatedly. So even with only a limited amount of reference material I should be able to get the corrections close. (I dont have reference clips for every single episode, only a handful of scenes from a handful of episodes.)
I have some reference material showing approximately what the colors should be. So my next question is if anyone knows of any tutorials/guides/videos showing how to use SpeedGrade to color correct a clip so that the colors match up with the colors used in a reference clip
I was also wondering about auto correction based on a reference clip, although I am guessing this is still not possible.
When I watched the websiminar: http://seminars.adobeconnect.com/_a227210/p738pxm9zs0/  at about 43 minutes into it, a feature is shown that automatically adjust the color using a clip that contains a colorchart.
I was wondering if a tool like that could analyse a clip start to finish, to create a pallete of used colors, and then compare that to the colors used in another clip and correct them. (a feature like this would probably be more useful/accurate in anime than it would liveaction but who knows.)
    Another UI related question:
I did have one question, the only place I see to access the colorwheels is in the looks tab, my video I am working on, just manages to fit at 100% in the monitor.
So I would prefer to hide or collapse the different looks(maybe even with a hotkey) so that I can access the color tools that it is covering, I attached a picture of what I am talking about. I know pressing "P" hides everything at the bottom, and figured maybe there is already a way to hide/minimize/collapse the look presets to access the tools behind them without shrinking down the size of the monitor preview.

There is a special grading filter called "Color match" which can assist in cross-referencing the black/white/gray levels from one playhead to another but it's not documented yet. The suggested way to set black/white/gray points in Sg is to adjust it visually, using the waveforms as a guide, but there's no chance of doing that for something as small as a character's eye. There's no "eyedropper" picker on the primary grading panel because Sg isn't a correcting tool, but a cinematic grading tool. 99% of the time the end result of an Sg grading session is a long way from what the camera pixels actually recorded.
If all you are doing is reversing a color cast  then Speedgrade isn't the right tool to use - you should be working in Premiere Pro (with the Fast or 3-Way Color Correctors). If you're a Photoshop person the UI is much more recognizable, it'll handle all the native footage you can throw at it, and you get your B-G-W eyedroppers.
In Speedgrade CS6 you cannot hide the Presets panel in the Look or Mask tab. The UI is really designed for use in a two-monitor system (which all professional colorists will have), and/or with a hardware controller (which means you can keep the entire  bottom panel hidden).

  • Transfering of Standard price of materials to CO-PA in planning

    Hi,
How can I transfer standard prices (calculated in Product cost controlling) of products to CO-PA in order to calculate the cost of goods.
I would like to do it in planning.
Is it made by integration of CO-PA with LIS or is there some other way?
    Best wishes,

You need to set up Valuation using material cost estimates. With this function, you determine which cost estimates from Product Cost Planning should be used to valuate actual or <b>planning data</b> in CO-PA. You do this by defining costing keys. A costing key is a set of access parameters that are used in valuation to determine which data in Product Cost Planning should be read.
    Please refer to  <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/d2/f22c7dd435d1118b3f0060b03ca329/frameset.htm">Documentation</a>

    Hi
You can view the material price change document for detail report
The price change document documents price changes as well as material debits and credits.
    Choose Accounting -> Controlling-> Product Cost Controlling---> Actual Costing/Material

  • Mass Price Change for Materials

    Hi
How can I change the Mass Selling Price for Materials.
    Thanks
    Christine

    hi,
you can update all the condition records for price using a BDC program. You need to take the help of an abaper to do this. Give him the table name and field name where the condition records are stored for the material selling price, and change it with the new value.
    Hope it helps.

  • Production costs for material with price control V

    Dear all,
Can anyone pls tell me, how will the costing occur for a material produced in-house and having price control 'V' ? I am not able to see the target costs.
Also kindly tell me the settings to be done in CO, like target cost version, valuation variant, costing variant, etc.
    Thank you,
    Shrenik

Rather than giving my own versions I have compiled here SAP inputs. Pl let me know if you require any clarifications:
Costing variant has the following components:
    <b>Define Costing Types
    Define Valuation Variants
    Define Date Control
    Define Quantity Structure Control
    Define Transfer Strategy
    Define Reference Variants</b>
    <u>Costing type:</u>
In the costing type, you define the purpose of a material cost estimate by specifying, for example, which field in the material master record the costing results can be transferred to:
    Update Cost Estimate
Standard price Standard cost estimate (01)
    Tax-based price Inventory cost estimate
    Commercial price Inventory cost estimate
Price other than std price Modified standard cost estimate or
    current cost estimate
    No update Any cost estimate
    Define Valuation Variants:
    Define Valuation Variants
Here you create a valuation variant containing the parameters required for valuation of a cost estimate.
You also specify which costing sheet should be used to calculate overhead.
    Valuation Strategies
    Material valuation
Here you define the sequence in which the system searches for prices from the accounting view or costing view of the material master record to valuate materials. You can also access prices from purchasing info records and condition types.
For material cost estimates, you also specify whether additive costs can be added to the selected price.
With configurable/configured material components and with procurement alternatives, the sequence defined here is ignored if the strategy "price from purchasing info record" was selected, in which case that strategy is always executed first. For more information, refer to the SAP Library in the component Product Cost Planning under Raw Material Costing or Mixed Costing.
    Activity Types / Processes
Here you define the sequence in which the system searches for prices in activity type planning or actual activity price calculation in Cost Center Accounting or Activity-Based Costing to valuate the utilized activity types and business processes.
You also specify which plan/actual version is used.
    Subcontracting
Here you define the sequence in which the system searches for prices in the purchasing info record. In purchasing, quota arrangements are used to create a mixed price for materials that are manufactured with external vendors with parts provided by the customer. You can specify whether the quota of the individual vendors that are entered in the source list for the material to be processed should be determined through the planned quota arrangement or the actual quota arrangement.
    External processing
Here you define the sequence in which the system searches for prices in the purchasing info record or routing operation for valuation of the external activities.
    Strategy Sequence
You define the individual valuation methods for the valuation variant as strategy sequences. For the valuation of the material components you define a strategy sequence that reads the fields of the material master record in a particular sequence such as:
    1. Planned price 1
    2. Standard price
    3. Moving price
The first price that is not zero is used to valuate the material component.
    Target versions:
Target cost versions  are used in the following ways:
    In variance calculation:
To control which variance (total variance, production variances or planning variance) is calculated
To valuate unplanned scrap( scrap variance)
Unplanned scrap is valuated in the period-end closing activities when the variances are calculated. You can specify in a valuation variant for WIP and scrap which cost estimate you want to use to calculate the target costs for the valuation of unplanned scrap. You assign the valuation variant to target cost version 0 if you want to include it in the valuation of scrap.
When you are using a cost object hierarchy with active distribution, you use the target cost version to control which cost estimate the system uses to calculate the target costs, which are used as the basis for determining equivalences for actual cost distribution.
The actual costs collected at the level of the hierarchy are distributed across the orders in accordance with these equivalences. This distribution is proportional to the target costs for the cost element under which the actual costs are written. Actual costs for material costs are distributed in proportion to the target costs for the origin group, such as for the material, if you have entered an origin group in the costing view of the material master record and have set the indicator Material origin, for example.
If no target costs were calculated under this cost element, enter a cost element group in the target cost version. The actual costs are distributed in proportion to the target costs for this cost element group. This cost element group should be complete. If costs were updated under a cost element that is not in this cost element group, no distribution is possible.
You can calculate equivalences on the basis of SAP standard target cost versions 0, 1 and 3.
The standard system supplies the following target cost versions:
Target cost version 0 ( total variance)
The amount of the total variance generates a posting in Financial Accounting during settlement.
For this version, select actual costs as the control costs and standard cost estimate as the target costs.
Target cost version 1 ( production variance)
For this version you choose actual costs as the control costs and planned costs as the target costs.
Target cost version 2( planning variance)
With target cost version 2, the costs from the preliminary order cost estimate are interpreted as control costs.
For this version, select planned costs as the control costs and current cost estimate as the target costs. You cannot calculate planning variances for the product cost collector.
Target cost version 3 (production variance of the period)
You compare the planned costs of the period calculated on the basis of an alternative material cost estimate (such as a modified standard cost estimate) with the actual costs of the period on the basis of the yield delivered to stock in the period.
The base quantity for variance calculation is the yield.
For this version, you choose the actual costs as the control costs and the alternative material cost estimate as the target costs. To determine the alternative material cost estimate, enter a costing variant and choose a costing version.
The target cost version specifies which data is to be compared. The target cost version also specifies which variance variant is used and therefore which variance catagories are calculated. You can define a different target cost version for each controlling area
