Remove function for cache on Android

One great stuff in Deezer. No need for cache on mobile app, only Online streaming on the phone. You can have more space for more important things like photos and videos. Why to use cache if you can make playlist as Premium user Offline if needed or just sream with 3G/4G? I want option to settings when user can disable cache when no need.
Really my 4G LTE or 3G DC or 3G can stream any stuff without problems and no need to fill phone with cache as my internal memory is limited. Thank you.
Netflix also works without cache. Why cache, it's no needed.

• Full stock removal functionality for 201 movement type

Dear Friends
I am facing one problem with full stock removal. As per my requirement, system should remove full container to staging area there
the requried qtty will remove and the remainging qtty goes to another storage type. When I post 201 movement type, system is not picking the full container.
When I observe movement type it is using dynamic bin and I changed it to static bin and I created a bin in 911 and I did the positng it picking the full container.
My question is, I chaanged in movement type and is there any impact for the same.
Regards
Raghu

Hi
The only impact I can think of is with the 'dynamic bin'setting the bin is the cost centre and with your change ALL of your Goods issues to cost centre will be in the same bin and so clearing these quantities out will not be so easy as when you create the TO to 'pick' the stock to clear it out it will not be able to pick the specific bin for the cost centre, However as all of tyhe stock is in the same 'bin' it should not be too much of an issue as it will jsut reduce the bin by the qty on the TO.
It just means that if you want to report on the stock in 911 then it will all be inthe same bin and you cannot differentiate as to which material was put there by which cost centre

• Mass update for Cache Mode?

Hi all,
Is there a way to update ALL queries' cache mode?  I know you can change the read mode for all queries by going into RSRT and typing "rall" in the t-code box while inside RSRT, but that is only for read mode.  Is there a similar functionality for cache mode?

hello all,
i want to remove function location for a given equipment,
this i am doing it by BAPI_EQUIP_DISMANTLE,
how ever i am unable to delete the function location for the equipment whose status is ESTO
now my question is how do i remove function location for the equipment whose status is ESTO
thanks in advance..

Another option is Tcode BS22.
Go to the Status I0184
Here Double Click on the SysSt to reach this screen. Here in Business Transaction PM03 change the Radio button from Forbidden to Allowed as shown here.
Confirm process implication won't be there.

• DB buffer cache vs. SQL query & PL/SQL function result cache

Hi all,
Started preparing for OCA cert. just myself using McGraw Hill's exam guide. Have a question about memory structures.
Actually, DB buffer cache is used to copy e.g. SELECT queries result data blocks, that can be reused by another session (server process).
There is also additional otion - SQL query & PL/SQL function result cache (from 11g), where also stored the results of such queries.
Do they do the same thing or nevertheless there is some difference, different purpose?
thanks in advance...

There is also additional otion - SQL query & PL/SQL function result cache (from 11g), where also stored the results of such queries.Result cache located in shared pool.So it is one component of shared pool.When server process execute query(and if you configured result cache) then result will store in shared pool.Then next execution time run time mechanism will detect and consider using result cache without executing this query(if data was not changed this is happen detection time)
Do they do the same thing or nevertheless there is some difference, different purpose?.Buffer cache and result cache are different things and purpose also,but result cache introduced to improve response time of query in 11g(but such mechanism also implemented in 10g subquery execution,in complex query).In buffer cache holds data blocks but not such results.

• Error in User defined function for dynamic file naming

Hi,
While creating User Defined function with this following code for dynamic fieldname
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
return ourSourceFileName;
which options should i select for cache Value, Context, Queue
for Augument , what name shd i mention.
Regards,
Varun

Hi Varun,
I guess I have answered a similar question just a few minutes before on very similar post from you. Just pasting the same here .................
Are you trying to access the ASMA values from the SOAP header of the XI message for the source file name?
First of all you need to Set the Sender File Adapter for Set ASMA and then file name. So it will work fine when you actually run the scenario end to end.
But in the mapping tool when you test the mapping - there is not message header updated with the actual source filename - and whenever you try to read the FileName attribute in the message header from the UDF - it cannot find the object and returns a NullPointerException.
I would suuggest for your mapping tool testing to be successful, have a check in the java code for null values,
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
String ourSourceFileName = conf.get(key);
If (ourSourceFileName != null)
       Return ourSourceFileName;
Return "NoFileName.txt";
Let us know if this works.

• Need some help with a remove function

Design and code a program that will maintain a list of product names. Use a String type to represent the product name and an array of strings to implement the list. Your program must implement the following methods:
Add a product to the list
Remove a product from the list
Display then entire list
Find out if a particular product is on the list.
You need to create a command command loop with a menu() function. The program must continue asking for input until the user stops.
This is the assignment and this is what I have so far. I need some help writing the remove function.

Great.
By the way, you can't remove anything from an array. You'll have to copy the remaining stuff into a new one, or maybe maintain a list of "empty" slots. Or null the slots and handle that. The first way will be the easiest though.

• Adobe Reader for iOS and Android & Rights Management

This week's release of Reader for iOS and Android devices incorporates support for accessing files secured by Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management.
As you are probably familiar, LiveCycle Rights Management protects sensitive documents by encrypting them with industry-standard AES encryption and enabling central management of their access permissions. Protections persist even when documents are accidentally distributed via email, the cloud, or saved on a lost mobile device.
Many of the core capabilities that you are used to on the desktop versions of Acrobat and Reader are now supported when you are on the go on your tablet or mobile phone. We intend to incorporate additional functionality in future releases of these mobile devices and look forward to your feedback.
We've had several questions thus far about how this works. More information about the product, as well as a link to an FAQ can be found at:http://blogs.adobe.com/security/2011/10/just-released-adobe-reader-10- 1-for-ios-and-android.html

Hello Jonathan,
is there an way to trigger iOS download to immediately open using "Adobe Reader"
instead of using the default Previewer (showing an plain empty white window) and then re-open it using "Open with" ?
Is there an MIME-Type to indicate IRM-protected PDF-files?

• API/package/procedure/function for updating physical attributes in Org/Mast

I need some kind of procedure or function for updating the weight, volume, and dimensions in the organization and master items forms. We have almost 350,000 items and I want to update them in batch. Is there an API of some kind for this? I would do a simple update but I want to make sure there's no additional logic necessary (other tables that are updated during the process of updating those fields, etc).
Thanks!

here is for API's you need to check...
You can use Decimal & UOM Quantity API
These APIs are used to handle item decimal quantities:
Convert from one UOM to another
Validate quantities at input time
Validate quantities at display/output time
Quantity Comparison
Get UOM information
For your convenience, I am giving you the API as below:
/*===========================================================================+
Copyright (c) 1999 Oracle Corporation
Redwood Shores, California, USA
All rights reserved.
+===========================================================================*/
/*-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
This package contains procedures relevent to item decimal quantity
processing. This package contains routines to:
(1)validate item quantities based on UOM and decimal precision rules
(2)validate whether the UOM controls and decimal precision rules
themselves are correct based on functionality planned. For reviewing
UOM and decimal quantity functional design details, please visit the
following URL:
"http//apps-us.oracle.com/inv/development/designs_120/
decimal_precision/decimal_precision.html"
But here are a few basics to give background context:

"Item Quantity" -- The item's quantity is described by the item
identifier, the unit of measure (e.g. grams, kilos, etc), and a
number value to indicate the amount in that unit of measure.

"Unit of Measure" -- Units of measure belong to unit of measure
classes(e.g. weight, volume, length, etc). Each unit of measure class
has actual units of measure that belong to that class (e.g. the
weight class may have units of measures like, "grams", "kilos", etc).

"UOM Conversion" --Users can set up conversion rates between UOMs in
them same UOM class, by defining conversions to the base UOM. These
are standard conversions. Item-level intra-class conversions may also
be defined. When doing intra-class conversions, item-level
intra-class conversions are used first if defined, and then standard
conversions are used.
Users can define inter-class conversions. Inter-class Conversions may
also be defined at the lot/sublot levels. For inter-class conversions
sublot, lot, and then item inter-class conversions will be used in
in order. If lot-lvel conversion is not defined, then item-level
conversion is used. A strict hierarchy is imposed.

"TU" -- Trasactable Unit.A UOM may have a TU. This implies
that when transacting in this UOM, any item's quantities will be
forced to be integer multiples of this TU quantity. The TU may also
be declared at the item level. The TU quantity at the item level may
be different from the UOM level TU, and if defined, item level TU
takes precedance.

"Decimal Precision"--Users have a choice of setting decimal precision
at the base UOM for each UOM class. All other UOMs in that class get
get their decimal precisions derived from the base UOM decimal
precision, the converison rate, and TUs, if they are
being used.

"Conversion Rate Tolerance" -- This is a tolerance that may be set
when conversion rate cannot be not strictly fixed. Example:
1 Chicken = 2 pounds (plus or minus 0.7 pounds). This 0.7 pounds is
the conversion rate tolerance. Conversion rate tolerance is only
definable at inter-class UOM conversions, at item or lot/sublot level

04/08/99 Mansoor Jafri Created Package Spec
04/26/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated with TU at 3 levels as

04/29/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated document with lot/sublot
conversions. Also, removed
"atomic" as a separate control,
since this can

level with an integer quantity.
05/03/99 Mansoor Jafri Updated the package with sublot
level control. Also, changed name
of DTU to TU, so that it fits

• Best Use of one SSD  for cache drives

Hello...  Months ago I added two Physical  Momentus XT drives to be used  as Cache only drives:  One as a Cache disk, and one as a Cache Database disk.  This is the only function these drives do...
Doing this really sped up large session loads...
I'm going to be getting one SSD soon, and was wondering.... Of the Two Caches....  Cache, or Cache Database...
Which would benifit the most from an SSD over a hybrid hard drive??
Seeing that the Controller is a 3Gb/sec controller only....  That's why I used two separate Cache disks..
Now that I'll have the benifit of a SSD speed over a Hybrid Drive (Faster Reads only)... Should I combine both in the SSD or still keep them separate?
Thanks!    Jan

I have replaced 2 Momentus XT drives (One with Media Cache, and other with Cache Database)  with 1 Samsung 840 SSD, which has 2 folders: CS6 Cache, and CS6 Cache Database.
Prior to pulling the drives, I tested the time it took to load a 45 min 1080i AVCHD session that had over 400 scenes, 600 2k JPEG's and about 25 pieces of music.  From clicking on the session to load, until "All Media Loaded" took about 34 seconds (This is with the Cache's on separate Hard drives).  Shut system down, pulled the two drives, added the one SSD drive, power up, formatted the drive and added the above mentioned folders...  Then launched PPRO and pointed the Media Cache and Cache Database at these new locations... Then launched the 45 min session, and walked away while it created the data locations, peek files, etc, to the new SSD Cache Drive folders.
When It was finished, I closed, rebooted the system, Launched PPRO, and timed from the Click on the session, till the end of "All Media Loaded"...     19 seconds...
Will be watching this intently......
EDIT:   SO far, I'm happy with the change.... I am interested in anyone else who has done this sort of thing before.... and in paticular, if you found any negatives of putting both cache's on the same physical drive, even if it is a SSD....
I did find my prior notes, and going from Cache's on raid (Different directory than media, though media was on same raid) to separate Momentus XT Drives decreased load time of this same 45 min project by ~ 15 seconds..
$$$ Available was only enough for one SSD, and I'm not certain if multiple SSD's for cache's would be worth the $$.... Which is pretty much why I posted here....
Looking forward to your comments...

• LiveCycle unable to access Cache Controller. Exception message - Error accessing the cache container - Error on GET action for cache Replicated:UM_CLUSTER_INVALIDATION_CACHE

The incident starts after all the members are removed from the DCS Stack DefaultCoreGroup view and added back again by WebSphere Application Server. Following exceptions are seen after LiveCycle was added back in again to the view.
We have a clustered environment with two nodes 2A and 2B. Server 2A crashed and therefore all members on 2B node were removed from the DCS view. Later the new core group view was installed but LiveCycle did resume operations as expected.

I have tried looking for the root cause about why LiveCycle was not able to resume normally, didn't find anything related.

LiveCycle uses Gemfire as distributed cache for cluster members. If you are using TCP Locators (caching based on TCP instead of UDP), below are the possible situations which might lead to “ForcedDisconnectException” :
- There is time difference between two nodes.
- These is network connectivity issues.
- The high CPU usage by the member crashed.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
This has worked for several users.
Remove the battery and press down on the camera lens, you may feel a click.
Put the battery pack in and see if the lens was just stuck.
If it still doesn't work, I would contact the carrier and get another device.
Thanks,

• Error removing object from cache with write behind

We have a cache with a DB for a backing store. The cache has a write-behind delay of about 10 seconds.
We see an error when we:
- Write new object to the cache
- Remove object from cache before it gets written to cachestore (because we're still within the 10 secs and the object has not made it to the db yet).
At first i was thinking "coherence should know if the object is in the db or not, and do the right thing", but i guess that's not the case?

Hi Ron,
The configuration for <local-scheme> allows you to add a cache store but you cannot use write-behind, only write-through.
Presumably you do not want the data to be shared by the different WLS nodes, i.e. if one node puts data in the cache and that is eventually written to a RAC node, that data cannot be seen in the cache by other WLS nodes. Or do you want all the WLS nodes to share the data but just write it to different RAC nodes?
If you use a local-scheme then the data will only be local to that WLS node and not shared.
I can think of a possible way to do what you want but it depends on the answer to the above question.
