Remove glossary tab from Microsoft HTML Help layout

How do I remove the Glossary tab from Microsoft HTML Help layout? Using RoboHelp 11

Hi there
You do that by editing the Window defintion. Click View > Pods > Project Set-up.
Expand the Windows folder and double-click the CHM Window definition.
Then DE-select the Glossary option.

Glossary Tab Not Showing Glossary terms in Microsoft HTML Help Output

When I generate Microsoft HTML output from my RoboHelp HTML project, the Glossary tab appears correctly showing the glossary terms after clicking the View Output button. However, when I double-click on the final Compiled HTML Output file from Windows Explorer, the Glossary tab only shows a gray area without any terms. I have tried working with the Adobe engineers and they have not found a solution yet. Anyone able to help?

Remove index tab from tri-pane

Is it possible to remove the index tab from the HTML help
tri-pane window? Thanks!

Hi mk20061. You can suppress the display of the Index AND TOC
tabs but not the index tab on it's own. Go to your window's
properties and deselect the "TOC & Index"option in the Tripane
Tabs & Windows dialog section. The other alternative is to
delete all the index keywords from the project as the index tab is
only displayed if there are keywords to display.

Cannot execute Microsoft HTML Help file from within Eclipse managed app.

I took an easy solution and created a help system for a large Java application using the Microsoft HTML Help Workshop as the IDE. The Help System does exactly what the client wants, but when I tried to integrate it into the application I ran into a brick wall.
I wrote a very small Java app to see if I could execute the compiled help file (RAS_Help.chm) under the simplest circumstances. The code, which runs fine under VJ++ throws the following exception when run from Eclipse

I assume the problem is in launching .chm files, since if I change the program I want to execute from the RAS_Help.chm file to the Windows Solitare game (sol.exe) the program works like a charm with no errors thrown.
Can anyone give me some guidence on this? If it is impossible to run the HTML Help file I created, I'd be ammenable to redoing it in some other package, if that would guarentee my being able to use it in the client's large application.

Fatal Error: Unexpected error from Microsoft HTML Compiler

I'm using RH 6 with Vista (yes I know Vista is not supported,
but I'm one of the few that has to have it, so I'm using the
tweaked unsupported version)
Sometimes when generating a CHM output (Compiled HTML Help)
right after the "Compacting file system..." step I get an error
that says "Fatal Error: Unexpected error from Microsoft HTML
Compiler".
I'm not sure what causes it. I don't get it all the time, but
I seem to get it more often than not. However, it doesn't seem to
do anything adverse to the compiled help file. Well, not that I can
see anyway.
Any information on what causes this and how I can fix it?

If deletion of the CPD doesn't work, there seems to be more
amiss in the HHP.
Have you had a look at the new version of the HHP-file?
Your missing images are due to another problem: I guess you
have images linked to from imported topics. During import RH copies
all necessary files to the appropriate relative locations, but it
does not 'recognize' new folders created during this step. For the
compilation RH copies all the stuff it thinks belong to the project
to a temp folder, but 'unrecognized' files are ignored, thus
missing in the compiled help.
Use Windows explorer to note where linked images are situated
and 'create' these folders within RH via the context menu of the
Project Explorer's folders 'HTML Files' section. This way RH
suddenly recognizes the folders and is able to handle the images
therein.
Perhaps some unrecognized folders are responsible for
compiler crash, too?

You need to be a bit patient if nothing happens when you
click the button to post. Trick is that if nothing happens copy you
message to the clipboard and cancel the post. Sometimes it has
taken, nothing else to do. Sometimes it has not so then create a
new post using the clipboard.

Removal of TABS from File Upload

Hi all,
I made an upload of a local file with TAB spaces in an internal table .I am required to remove the TABs from the records.I tried to used command REPLACE '/h' by single space, where '/h' being the TAB , but it did not work.
How can I achieve the requirement?

Microsoft HTML Help Options

Where do I define the "home" page that is supposed to appear
when the user clicks the Options button at the top of the Microsoft
HTML Help window, and then selects Home?

This should be set in your Window settings dialog. In my old
version, you need to click on the "Advanced" button to get there.
Without knowing your RH version, I can't tell you exactly how to
get there. It is one of the parameters (the fifth one) of the
Window definition in your .hhp.

How to remove Competetors TAB from PCUI Opportunity create trx

we are using CRM 5.0, i want to remove Competitor's TAB from PCUI Opportunity Transaction. i see a option in CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C transaction-> Application/Layout->Define layout of the people-centric UI(Customizing tool). here i went to CRMD_BUS2000111-> Version 1-> Static model-> Tabpage groups-> OPP_1: when i clicked on this i got all Tab's details. but when i tried making OPP_HD_COMP "Inactive" and hit Save that Check mark goes away. tried many times but did not help.
then i tried going to CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C transaction->Application element-> tab page group structure->OPP_1: here i dont see any entries. do i have to add all Opportunity Tab's details here or only the Competetor tab details?
Please let me know does anybody see all Tab's data here or you just enter all Tabs data manually in CRM 5.0? also how can i remove Competetors Tab? your help is appreciated and awarded.

Hello Anu,
WHen you are in CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C transaction->Application element-> tab page group structure->OPP_1, go to edit mode and import the standard entries from CRMC_BLUEPRINT (on of the buttons on the screen).
Then, for the tab you don't want to see, just put it as inactive (if not possible, just delete the line, you can always come back to the standard by importing the S tables again).

How to remove a tab from Accordion Menu?

I have a page that I am creating for my website which has an accordion menu on it. I originally created the menu in Dreamweaver CS4 using the Spry Accordion Widget, then transferred that code over to the website page. In place of words on the menu, I am using images for each drop down tab. I am trying to remove the last tab in the menu, but every time I do my entire menu no longer functions and the tabs, when clicked, no longer drop down.

Above is the link to the page I am working on. The last tab in the menu is titled TOC Thinking Processes (above the Register Now button). All I want to do is remove that tab, but when I do, the entire menu no longer works.

Never mind, I was able to figure it out. After I had removed lines 631-644 the code had changed for some reason.

Remove default java from Captivate HTML output

i have noticed that when i publish my captivate to SWF the HTMl contains some javascript code that redirects my browser to the Adobe site to download the flash player - the code is :

Okay, I have to ask.
What about that line do you find offensive? I believe it's there only for the purpose of directing the user to a place where they may download the Flash player if the code finds it cannot play the Captivate because it's not installed. Otherwise, it does absolutely nothing and the user isn't aware it's even there.

I'm working in RoboHelp v7 and when I go to generate my CHM Files to a folder on my D Drive I get the above Fatal Error.
I have recreated the folder and path where the generated CHM files are to be created and this seemed to fix the problem for one publish, but now it is back.
I have found a work around which allows me to publish which is removing some spaces from the file name of the CHM files that are generated.
Any help is muchly appreciated even though I have a work around I still need to find a solution to this problem.

My guess is that you don't have admin rights. You will need to get your IT people to log in and install them. No reported issues seen on the forums as a result of installing these patches other than one RoboHelp for Word problem so that will not affect you.
