Remove structure from flow

Hi group
Does anyone know how paragraph formats and character formats are created and applied when you choose Special > Remove Structure from Flow? I don't think the EDD is used in this process, is it? Although... I can find some paragraph tags in the EDD, I also see "auto-generated" tags, for example p1, p2, p3 etc. for <p>.
Also, is there a way to change/control this element-to-paragraph mapping?
Thanks
Yves

Thanks Russ.
I found the answer in the FDK Function Reference (as a Newbie in JavaScript this is the first time I have looked at it)
Open FrameMaker in non-structured format.
Use Constants.FS_FileIsStructured /Constants.FV_StripStructureAndOpen  pair in the Open parameters.
This will strip the Structure before opening the file.

  • Remove the stacked sequence structure from LabVIEW.

Remove once and for all the stacked sequence structure from labVIEW
                                           It's an absolute horror.

    > Sequence locals are sometimes (for very few cases) usefull if you know how to use them properly
    What does that even mean????
(.. and you are repeating basically the same statement about four more times as if  the use of sequences and sequence locals is an advanced skill, only to be used by LabVIEW masters. Your post is so redundant that it could be condensed to 20% of the size without loss of information).
It is clear that the stacked sequence can never disappear from LabVIEW, because of the need for backward compatibility. (It could be taken out of the palette, but why...).

    Hi Experts,
I have appended a Z structure to table VBAP.
I want to remove it now. How can I do?
    Rajiv Ranjan

    Hi Rajiv Ranjan,
to delete the append structure from the database table, follow the points
    1. Goto se11
    2. enter your append structure name.
    3. press delete
    4. It will delete this append,
    also in the original table/structure
    where it is used, AUTOMATICALLY.
5.now the data base table VBAP is partially active so
go to tcode se14 and give the table name and click on EDIT button
and click on ACTIVATE AND ADJUST button.
    then it will work.

  • Most efficient way to delete "removed" photos from hard disk?

Hello everyone! Glad to have this great community to come to for help. I searched for this question but came up with no hits. If it's already been discussed, I apologize and would love to be directed to the link.
My wife and I have been using LR for a long time. We're currently on version 4. Unfortunately, she's not as tech-savvy or meticulous as I am, and she has been unknowingly "Removing" photos from the LR catalogues when she really meant to delete them from the hard disk. That means we have hundreds of unwanted raw photo files floating around in our computer and no way to pick them out from the ones we want! As a very organized and space-conscious person, I can't stand the thought. So my question is, what is the most efficient way to permanently delete these unwanted photos from the hard disk
I did fine one suggestion that said to synchronize the parent folder with their respective catalogues, select all the photos in "Previous Import," and delete those, since they will be all of the photos that were previously removed from the catalogue.
This is a great suggestion, but it probably wouldn't work for all of my catalogues since my file structure is organized by date (the default setting for LR). So, two catalogues will share the same "parent folder" in the sense that they both have photos from May 2013, but if I synchronize May 2013 with one, then it will get all the duds PLUS the photos that belong in the other catalogue.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I know there's probably not an easy fix, and I'm willing to put in some time. I just want to know if there is a solution and make sure I'm working as efficiently as possible.
    Thank you!
    Kenneth

I have to agree with the comment about multiple catalogs referring to images that are mixed in together... and the added difficulty that may have brought here.
My suggestions (assuming you are prepared to combine the current catalogs into one)
in each catalog, put a distinctive keyword onto all the images so that you can later discriminate these images as to which particular catalog they were formerly in (just in case this is useful information later)
as John suggests, use File / "Import from Catalog" to bring all LR images together into one catalog.
then in order to separate out the image files that ARE imported to LR, from those which either never were / have been removed, I would duplicate just the imported ones, to an entirely separate and dedicated disk location. This may require the temporary use of an external drive, with enough space for everything.
to do this, highlight all the images in the whole catalog, then use File / "Export as Catalog" selecting the option "include negatives". Provide a filename and location for the catalog inside your chosen new saving location. All the image files that are imported to the catalog will be selectively copied into this same location alongside the new catalog. The same relative arrangement of subfolders will be created there, for them all to live inside, as is seen currently. But image files that do not feature in LR currently, will be left behind by this operation.
your new catalog is now functional, referring to the copied image files. Making sure you have a full backup first, you can start deleting image files from the original location, that you believe to be unwanted. You can do this safe in the knowledge that anything LR is actively relying on, has already been duplicated elsewhere. So you can be quite aggressive at this, only watching out for image files that are required for other purposes (than as master data for Lightroom) - e.g., the exported JPG files you may have made.
IMO it is a good idea to practice a full separation of image files used in your LR image library, from all other image files. This separation means you know where it is safe to manage images freely using the OS, vs where (what I think of as the LR-managed storage area) you need to bear LR's requirements constantly in mind. Better for discrete backup, too.
In due course, as required, the copied image files plus catalog can be moved bodily to another drive (for example, if they have been temporarily put on an external drive, and you want to store them on your main internal one again). This then just requires a single re-browsing of their parent folder's location, in order to correct LR's records inside this catalog, as to the image files' changed addresses.
If you don't want to combine the catalogs into one, a similar set of operations as above, can be carried out for each separate catalog you have now. This will create a separate folder structure in each case, containing just those duplicated image files. Once this has been done for all catalogs, you can start to clean up the present image files location. IMO this is very much the laborious and inflexible option, so far as future management of the total body of images is concerned... though there may still be some overriding reason for working that way.

  • Error removing data from MDS using WLST

I'm new at MDS so i want to remove some data which I inserted in the wrong structure....sounds quite easy. After some looking around I should be able to do this using a deployment plan and WLST. I chose the last one as I am not realy familiar yet with deployment plans. I connect with my server and started WLST did the following:
    wls:/offline> connect ('weblogic', 'mypassword' , 't3://localhost:8001')
Connecting to t3://localhost:8001 with userid weblogic ...
Successfully connected to managed Server 'soa_server1' that belongs to domain 'MY_DOMAIN'.
Warning: An insecure protocol was used to connect to the
server. To ensure on-the-wire security, the SSL port or
Admin port should be used instead.
    wls:/MY_DOMAIN/serverConfig> deleteMetadata(application='soa-infra', server='soa-server1', docs='/apps/deploy/*')The outcome was:
Location changed to custom tree. This is a writable tree with No root.
    For more help, use help(custom)
and after a while it closed the WLST connection. Can anyone tell me how I can remove data from my repository or what is going wrong here?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
I think you were getting this error because you had your server name incorrect : soa-server1 instead of soa_server1. Also it might be possible that soa-infra is installed on the different server.

  • Remove name from menu bar + possible bugs?

Hello, I was wondering if it were possible to remove my name from the Menu bar. It currently says my full name and is clickable, dropping down to my icon and a link to the Login Window and Users & Groups Preferences (but there's no option to remove it in these preferences!) Thanks!
Also, Is there a thread where we can post bugs we come across? Becuase I've found a couple.
I'll post them here for now:
    1) When I go into Finder > Preferences, the menu box flickers strangely when I switch between the option tabs (General, Labels, Sidebar, Advanced).
    2) Scrolling left and right through folders in the Column view is hesitant. It doesn't flow smoothly like it does when I scroll up and down.
If there's anywhere I can report these bugs, please let me know!

    name from menu bar:
the easy way: hold command and then drag the name icon out of the menu bar (just like how you remove stuff from the dock with the difference of pressing command while you do it).
the less easy way: open system prfs -> Users and groups [press locket if locked] then click login options and uncheck fast user switching menu

  • Remove fields from dashboard

The dashboard on the cProjects entry page (4.5.) contains about 50 different columns. Some of them are visible by default, while others can be added via ALV-personalization (link "Settings").
I have now successfully added some customer fields to the dashboard, so that I have about 60 columns.
Now, some of the default columns do not make sense at all in my company. How can I remove them from the dashboard (with removing I mean not only remove them from the default view of the table, but also from the list of possible columns under "Settings").
I can of course delete them from the structure DPR_TS_DASHBOARD_ATTR, but this would be a modification, and could lead to syntax errors or other problems after the next upgrade.
    Is there an easier way?

    Hi Daniel,
I don't think you can remove them, as it's a standard layout. For there are two options:
       - Either you remove the them from the defailt view in the administration mode for instance. In that case, the columns remain selectable in the settings as you mentionned.
      - Or you create a custom extract layout, copy from the standard one, without the non-desired fields.

  • Removing attributes from node

    Hi,
Im creating a node and its attributes dynamically and binding it to a table to show a table dynamically. The problem is that when i load a new item, i have to rebuild the node and table because it might have different columns. The node allways has 3 fixed columns (id, name, description) so first i have to remove all of the attributes except the id, name and description. Same for the table columns. Can anyone tell me how to remove attributes from a node or how to differently solve my problem? All i see is how to remove an element but is a data right, not the model?
    Much thanks,
    Hugo Hendriks

    Hi,
I had a similar situation, where 2 table columns were always present, and the name and type of other columns were only available runtime.
I simply deleted all data (invalidate()) and recreated the context from scratch after each model execution that impacts the table structure.
Otherwise, use the API to find the right methods for deleting Nodes and Elements.

  • Removing Contacts from Multiple Campaign Canvases

    Hi everyone,
We're dealing with an issue on managing the flow of contacts in our automated campaigns.  We currently have 3 automated email drips that are based on the content that prospects engaged with to initially enter our database.  Then, contacts flow into the next canvas based on internal prioritization of the tracks.  However, we also run a new thematic campaign every quarter that has fresh content and pulls contacts out of our automated programs based on Title, Engagement, Industry, etc.
The problem is that every time we launch a new thematic campaign, we're forced to go back into our automated drip programs and add shared filters based on the new campaign's criteria before each email step.
My idea is to have the newly segmented contacts enter a program that checks what other campaign canvases they are in and then remove them.  This would solve our issue of having contacts in multiple campaigns at the same instance, which would allow us to easily transfer newly engaged contacts into our quarterly thematic campaign.
Am I thinking about this in the correct way?  Can you remove contacts from specific canvases in Program Builder?
    Thanks,
    Parker

Need more info...what application/applications are you presently syncing contacts with? OS on your computer? Are you syncing contacts over the air? Are your contacts correct on your computer?

  • Remove images from database...

I prefer to import images by reference to Lr, that is, keep the original files where they are. On occasion a mistake happens and an image is fully imported into the database. If I remember what these images are it is easy to remove them from the database and re-import them by reference. However, if one does not remember the imported images, how can one identify them? Is there a flag or something that identifies images that were imported fully into the database?

Antonio, you are using the word "import" differently than LR does. To LR, import means that it should show the file and be responsible for managing the file. The RAW file stays where it is and is not affected by this. Don't make the mistake of assuming that because you can see the raw image on the hard drive, that LR has not imported it. It either leaves them where you put them or it moves them to a new directory structure, depending on the Import options you choose - but either way, the raw file still exists on the hard disk and is still accessible to external tools. This is by design.
LR then generates preview images for import files, and updates them as you work with the image in the Develop module. It *can* use a JPEG preview if such exists as an initial preview image, but that is solely a matter of convenience. The key point is that previews are LR's way of showing you the file, since it can't show you a RAW file directly.
But the previews are not really considered to be what LR imported; they are instead the byproduct of the fact that the original RAW image was imported.

  • Workflow question: removing images from project

How can I tell Aperture to remove a file from its database without removing it from the hard drive? My workflow is:
    1. Import images to a Transfer folder
    2. Edit images
    3. Move remaining images to a folder with the shoot name, under a Photos folder
In Aperture, I've got a Photos project, with Albums for each shoot name folder and I've got a Transfer project that the unediting shoot is in. After I edited my first shoot in 1.5, I used the Relocate Master command to move the files of the shoot to the new folder in the Finder. I then made a new Album under the Photos project and copied the photos from Transfer to the new Album. That all worked great. As a last step, I wanted to remove the photos from the Transfer project. However, I can't: I can only delete the original file, which will delete it from the hard drive. I can't figure out how to tell Aperture to simply stop managing a file. It's really basic issue but it's stopping me from using Aperture to manage my library (or at least do it efficiently).

Wow, I was really tired when I posted that. No, you were correct the first time: I was looking to delete images and for that your suggestion worked perfectly.
What I was doing when I asked the second question was re-arranging my library in Aperture. I decided to remove everything and to use a structure that has a Folder labelled "Photos" at the top level, then multiple Projects below that, each named with a year. In each Project, there are albums for that year's shoots.
Before I removed the old structure, I exported out as a Project the last shoot I edited. Pre-1.5, I never bothered keeping editing images in Aperture - I just used it as a tool for editing the shoot. However, now that Aperture can reference external files (i.e., I'm not worried about its database), I can keep the editing images and their modifications in Aperture (modifications like keywords and image adjustments). So, after creating my new structure, I wanted to import all the editing images of my last shoot; sort of kicking off my greater use of Aperture. However, after importing the Project, I couldn't figure out how to move the images into the new shoot Album, in my "2006" Project. Hence my "can't move images"-post to you.
Your tip about dragging into the Project, not the Album, worked great, moving the images into their new place. Last night (morning, actually), my clumsy workaround was to drag the edited images into the new shoot album, then import the originals again, then use the stamp tool to copy the changes from the exisiting images to the new ones. I then deleted the images I'd imported via the existing Project. Much more of a pain than knowning what you told me!
    Thanks again.

  • Remove buttons from CAD Supervisor toolbar

    CAD 9
I know we can remove Agent buttons from CDA -> CAD-Agent work flow -> User Interface section.
How to remove buttons from CAD Supervisor toolbar please? Like Recording. If not possible, is it possible to Disable / Grey out a button. I am looking to remove / disable VoIP Monitoring and Record buttons please?
    Thanks,

    Can you try this:
Go to CAD Admin web page
    Services Configuration-> Remove VoIP/Recording & Playback Services
Make sure that there are no IP addresses of any servers in the Recording & Playback Service menu. If there are some, select them and press ‘Remove’ button to remove them.
Please make sure that you close CSD, CAD completely and login back to see the changes. I haven’t tried this before but I think this would disable the recording buttons in CSD. I don’t know whether it needs CAD services restarts(all).
