Removing Instances With a Button

Hello,
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I am creating a form that has several headings, under each heading I have set up and instance in a sub form that allows the user to add another line/instance to the document. This is working fine, however I would like the end user to be able to delete/remove that same instance they have just added if they would like. The problem is that I have several sub forms in this document and trying to get the remove button to work is proving to be difficult.
The current script I am using to add and instance is

which is working just fine...I have added a remove button with several different scripts, and the problem is that if the end user adds a instance to the 5th heading( also the 5th sub form), in order for the user to then be able to remove that instance he/she has to add at least 5 instances to be able to remove them, and if they add an instance to the 6th heading they then have to add 6 instances to the heading before they can delete them...weird.
The script I have been using to remove the instances is...
gc.instanceManager.removeInstance(1);
or
if(ss.instanceManager.count > 1)
ss.instanceManager.removeInstance(1);
both with the same outcome.
If anyone has had this problem or knows the correct way to fix this problem please let me know.

I Have fixed my problem...
I had my buttons in a subform with the same binding for each heading so renaming them fixed the issue.

  • Help with remove.Instance function removing the wrong row

    Hi there,
    I have been working on Livecycle forms for about two weeks now and have been able to work out quite a bit of what I need to do.  However, I am really hoping someone can help me with a two problems that I cannot seem to solve. 
    The first one is; if I click on the 'remove a row' function on my form and it is the only row, it comes up with an error message,  How do I stop that from being displayed?  I think I need to use the IF function with >1 but cannot seem to get it to work.
    Secondly, if for example I add two rows using the +row button to make three rows and in rows 1&2 I input some data.  If I then want to delete row 3 and press the -Row button it deletes row number 2 and the data in that row and leaves row number 3.  How can I change it so that when I delete a row it deletes row number three and leaves row number 2.  essentially, I need it to delete rows from the bottom up and not from the top down.  Hope this makes sense.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,
    When removing instances within an object's event which is inside the instance, you must make sure that you remove this particular instance at the end of the event.
    E.g.:
    If you remove the instance of which the button is inside before even finishing the whole event, the program will not recognize what event is to be finished because you have removed the object's which is fired..
    So here you are trying to finish some code which doesn't exist anymore ...
    I suggest you should always remove the instance of (this) object at the end of any event to make sure to finish all your actions before deleting the object.

    The part I'm having trouble with is how I add the close button to the stage on top of the popup box.
    This is basically what I'm trying to do:

    Why not just make the close button part of the object you are adding.  You can assign it an event listener thru that object after it is created.

    Here's a great way to learn how to change views by pressing a button:
    Start a new Xcode project and select iPhone OS, Application, Utility Application.
    This will give you the base code and IB elements of a button and two views, MainView and FlipsideView...

  • Hello,  I have iMac from Oct, 2010 and have OS 10.6.7 and multiple users.  Mail icon was accidently removed along with program.  Mail 4.4 is on other users but when I reloaded software my user got Mail 4.3. Mail 4.3 did not work with latest OS. Ideas?Matt

    Hello,  I have iMac Itel i3, from Oct, 2010 and have OS 10.6.7 and multiple users. 
    About 3-4 days ago the Mail icon in dock had question mark and was accidently removed, along with program on my user.  Oops.
    1. Mail 4.4 is on other users and works fine, but for me it does not work and tells me V4.3 does not work with latest OS X. 
    2. I reloaded software from my user with original disks  (Oct, 2010) and got Mail 4.3 again. Mail 4.3 did not work with latest OS.  I am unable to load Mail.  Gives Yellow error message.    
    "  You have Mail version 4.3 (1081/1084). It can’t be used on Mac OS X Version 10.6.7 (Build 10J869). For more information, click the Help button."
    3. Tried to update software and look for update for mail 4.3 on Apple site to no success.
    Hate to go to MS-Entorage ( I may need to learn something new and alien) mail program since contracts are in Mail/Address Book.
    Ideas?

    These two things need to be remedied in their upgrades because It's become such a bother I've had to revert to older versions of PS.

    Yea, and it's a pain to get to.  What was the rational for removing the print size button?   With the magnifying glass tool selected in older versions of Photoshop you would get a button that says "print size" right next to Actual pixels, Fit Screen, Fill Screen. Now I have to go out of my way and dig for it if I want to see the print size.  Of all the buttons you could have taken away, why not fill screen?  I never use that.
    Besides the point I just downloaded the Oct Upgrade for PS and surprise! Nothing has changed and these are two big black eyes on newer versions of Photoshop.   The Brush preview window is  unchanged in CC but in CC2014 it's basically worthless.  If you apply a texture to a brush you can't properly see the scale of the texture, the spacing, scatter, etc...

    We moved the SCCM server to OU where no policies were getting applied and then applied the new GPO to that OU. Restarted the server and we were able to install WSUS role.

  • How do you force instances with the same name on the same layer to update?

    Maybe someone can tell me why flash doesn’t redraw
    components’ x,y positions if they have the same instance name
    and are on adjacent frames? (movieclips work fine, just not
    components) If I have a button on frame 1 and a button on frame 2
    both with the same instance name but different locations on the
    stage, frame 2’s button doesn’t show up in the position
    I placed it, it stays at the position of frame 1 but still has the
    properties of frame 2’s button. The label changes and
    everything. If I stick a button on a frame in between and give it a
    different instance name there is no problem. I thought it might be
    the style manager bug

    Something possibly related. I have a movieclip on a layer,
    one instance with name “a” on frame 1 and one instance
    with name “a” on frame 2 and it has event listeners
    inside it that update something on the movieclip. Unless I put the
    movieclips on separate layers the event listeners won’t reset
    each frame. (example: a button with a tooltip onmouseover that you
    want to change the text of from frame 1 to frame 2) You’d
    think if they were on separate keyframes at least but no, they need
    to be on separate layers too.
    I want the movieclip to update each frame. Any ideas?

    instances (whether components or not) with the same name may
    or may not be the same instance. it depends upon how they were
    created.
    for example, if you create an instance on frame 1 of your
    main timeline, give it an instance name and then create a keyframe
    on frame 2, the two instances will be the same.
    but if you create an instance on frame 1 of your main
    timeline, give it an instance name and then create a blank keyframe
    on frame2 and create another, what you think is a duplicate,
    instance and give it the same name, it will be a different
    instance.

    There are some thumbs witch are buttons,
    every button plays a video. (some of them are not finished).
    I would like to join the horizontal scrolling bar with the buttons under and the vertical bar with the buttons at the left to show the other buttons outside the page. Every solution I have tried does not work : the link between each button and the reader is removed and I cannot  reconnect it.
    I hope given a clear explanation.
    Could somebody have a solution ?

  • Problem With Push buttons on the selection screen

    I've taken 3 push buttons on the selection-screen with the following syntax
    SELECTION-SCREEN: FUNCTION KEY 1,

    and have removed the F8 execute button using FM RS_SET_SELSCREEN_STATUS
    Now, the problem is i'm able to perform validations using At selection screen but the code after the Start-of-selection is not being triggered.
    I mean the processing is being terminated after the at selection-screen.could anyone please tell me how do i trigger some code after the event start-of-selection when a user presses a push button with sy-ucomm = FC01.

  • Removing Splash Screen using button in Movieclip

    Hi
    I have created a shooting game and I am struggling to create a splash screen at the beginning informing the user of
    the controls with a button to start the game, which removes the splash screen. I am trying to add the splash screen in the main timeline
    using addChild event. I can get the splash screen to appear on the game and remove it when the playgame button is pressed, but this
    prevents all the other event listeners so I am not able to fire or move the ship.
    In the splash screen I have the code :

  • Replacing SAP Object Selector with Radio Button in ALV table in WD ABAP

    Hi All,
    I have a view in Webdynpro ABAP which displays data in an ALV table view (using SALV_WD_TABLE component).
    By default we have the SAP Object Selector for selecting a particular row of the table. This has to be replaced with radio buttons.
    I mean instead of using the SAP Object Selector, I need radio buttons at the start of each row.
    What I have thought of is to make the SAP Object Selector Invisible and create another attribute for the radio button in the node which contains ALV output data.
    Can you please let me know how to remove the SAP Object Selector from ALV output table and also how to include a column with radio button in the ALV output table.

    I am working with HRASR00_PROCESS_EXECUTE WD component of MSS application. In order to generate the data, this in turn calls another component called DATAOBJECTPROVIDER. I need to make the table selection as none and replace the SAP Object Selector with the radio button.
    Do you know under which method in DATAOBJECTPROVIDER do we need make the changes. I tried to search all the methods but couldnt understand a suitable one.

    CanI remove file with package manager
    For example if there is a file /apps/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/form/RichText.js in Author Instance A, then I delete RichText.js file using crxde.  Then I create a package remove_richtextjs.zip with filter /apps/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/form/
    Then I open another instance Author Instance B, there is an exact same file /apps/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/form/RichText.js.  Is it possible that if I apply remove_richtextjs.zip, an RichText.js will be removed from Author Instance B?

    You don't have to pay to remove files. Just drag them to the Trash and Empty the Trash.

    when i move the curser over the button it changes into a hand, but
    will not act like a button, even though i have set the behaviour to
    'on release, go to and play keyframe 2'.

    ok - you are running yourself around in circles - why did you
    delete it to the stage only to add it
    again? once you converted it to a movie clip, you had what
    you wanted on the stage - but then you
    deleted it and dragged another instance of the same symbol
    back onto the stage - there's no reason
    to do that.

    Right - this is expected because yoyu are now inside the
    movie clip timeline - not the button timeline.

    then brought to "edit mode" for the

    per your description there has only ever
    been 1 button you have been working with.

    That's because you are applying a behavior for a button to a
    movie clip instead.
    I think you went wrong when you converted the button to a
    movie clip - i have no idea why you did
    that or why to think your button needs to be in a movie clip.

    I just think you don't understand how timelines, symbols or
    buttons work yet in flash.
    1. drag a button to the stage.
    2. select it and open the Behaviors panel (dont double click
    it to edit it).
    3. add your actions.
    4. test movie.
    (no need for a movie clip here.
