Removing Video Audio !!!HELP!!!

Hi there, I have been trying to remove audio from from videos in Logic 7 Pro. I have managed to extract audio from video, but when I bounce video down with new audio track, it still has the original audio track. So I end with both audio tracks playing at the same time. How do I remove sound from video so I can add my new soundtrack? Many thanks, Ben.

In the video window in the bottom left corner there will be a volume slider. Click on this and bring it to the bottom until you hear no audio at all.
If you want to hear select parts of the audio from the movie whilst working on it then select extract audio from movie in the 'movie' menu at the top of the screen.
When you have finished all your music and work on the movie, click on extract audio to movie from that same menu above. When you do this, the first screen you will see will ask you about compression etc, the second will ask you which audio tracks from the original movie you want to keep when bouncing. Click underneath the text so that it deselects it (youll know what i mean).
It gets confusing. Logic should have included a tick box next to it so its easier to understand but thats the way it is.

I would like to know why my iPod video doesn't have any audio when I play videos. I use the itunes converter to transfer the video but the audio just doesnt work. Can someone help me please and let me know how do deal with the problem?

The language and subtiles have to be changed to match the video you are downloading. I use IVideoToGo and it has that option under properties. You have to change the language to "English" and the Subtitles to "English" or whatever language is indicated on the case of the movie. You have to do it for each movie manually because it is defaulted to "none".

IChat AV 3.0.1 - Help. Can't Video/Audio

Power Mac G5 Quad Mac OS X (10.4.4) Here's my set up: Power Mac G5 (Brand New iSight Camera as of Jan 20, 2005) SpeedStream DSL Modem from SBC. I do not have my FireWall on.
Here's the problem: When a buddy trys to contact me for a Vdieo/Audio call I click their invitation video icon and my video windo pops up and I can see my pretty mug smiling and waiting for the call. At the bottom of the video image is a black rectangle which reads ' PREVIEW' . Anyway, I accept the call by clicking 'Accept'. In the transparent original invitation menu desplayed at the top of the video image it reads: Starting Video call from: [email protected] and on the right side of this menu bar is the Apple gray spinning Gear - which spins and spins and spins. I've let it spin for 5 minutes and nothing happens. I bet I could let it spin forever. The same thing happens when I try and contact someone.
No my friend on the other line said that al he got was a gray video image coming from me.

I might have solved the problem. I did change my PPPoE so my computer would handle the PPPoE connection and not my SBC SpeedStream modem. However, I still had the very same problem as before. I could not Video or Audio chat. I could send and receive files and text chat. As well, when I was invited to a Video or Audio chat when I accpeted the Apple Spinning Gear would just spin and spin and spin, forever if I let it.
That being said, my friend in San Fran who was helping me sent me his iChat AV 3.1.1 (I had iChat AV 3.0.1) as soon as I downloaded iChat AV 3.1.1 and installed it, well, I could Video and Audio. It works perfectly. My guess is the iChat AV 3.0.1 didn't have the correct drivers for my Brand New iSight and the iChat AV 3.1.1 did. Anyway, my friend and I Video/Audio chated for about an hour with no pause or break...
Now, I just need to know if my original modem setting will work for the iChat AV 3.1.1 - until I test this I won't say my question is answered just quite yet...

Try to download the application VLC.
It is a media player that should be able to play any audio or video file you may have. If your videos play flawlessly using that application, then the issue is with iTunes and Quicktime, as they are both essentially similar software types when it comes to playing media.
In that case you may need to install a plug-in file called Perian, in order for the videos to play correctly within iTunes or at least Quicktime...

Help-Very bad video/audio delay with China user

I am using iChat with snow leopard in U.S. and my son is using iChat from China with leopard. We can bring up iChat. He can see and hear me clearly, but there is about a 10 second delay. I can see him but the video is very pixelated, blurry, and slow. His voice is delayed and somewhat garbled.
He has wireless internet in China, but I'm wondering if there's something we can do to improve the video/audio. We are both fairly new to the Mac, so any help is appreciated.

However the issue goes back further than the current Forum Software and the early ones are not accessible.
It may also pay to change the Criteria of the Forum option to read iChat 3 and see if there are any others. (I think Sandra posted in iChat 3 but took longer to update to Panther)

MPG video file importing as audio HELP!!!
I am using Premiere pro CS5 trial version. The videos I have are in .mpg format and play fine in other programs. When I import them into Premiere they are importing as audio files.
I have a week to get this project done for uni and Im freaking out! It worked on the uni computer before christmas but isnt working here, its the same program and same operating system (windows 7).
What am I doing wrong!!!?

Video - Audio Conference application (RTP) HELP ME !!!

Can somebody help me on the above problem ?
i am trying to find some examples of video-audio capturing , transmission, and presentation of them to a machine over the Internet.
I have already seen the examples in JMF Tutorial of SUN but there is not any example in the case of a simultaneous audio-video transmission and sychronization of them...
Could anybody help me ?

AVTransmit and AVRevcive files enable a audio and video conference between two computers . I have tested and its been sucessfull on dail up connection where i could get the IP address of the computer. I couldnt test on computers connected on LAN via routers or computers connected to local CABLE ISP providers .

I upgraded to iMovie 11 because the previous version wouldn't read the type of video I was importing (VOB). The video imports but not the audio, what do I do?

What are you capturing from? You may not hear the auido as it's captured but it will be there. After it's captured can you see the audio waveforms? Do the audio meters move when you play the clip? If so then go to "View" then "Audio Playback" and set it to 'Built-in Output" if you're monitoring audio through the computer.

Stream Live Video + Audio to Apple TV - No Audio

Hello, I am trying to setup an adhoc video conferencing solution
Streaming Live Video + Audio from a lecture theatre to a breakout room in the same building
So far I have tried 3 approaches over Airplay:
1: iPad Air (8.1) (as a camera + microphone) using the built in video app to stream to a Mac Mini (Yosemite), using Reflector
2: iPad Air (8.1) (as a camera + microphone) using the built in video app to stream to an Apple TV
3: Webcam connected to a Mac Mini to stream to an Apple TV
All 3 options show the Video however I can't hear the audio
I know that the audio is working because if I record a clip and play it back you can hear the audio on the TV
Can anybody recommend some software, either for the iPad or the Mac which would allow me to transmit the Video + Audio Live?
My preference is not to use a web based system, so that all data is kept on the local network

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

Removing Video When Editing Sound

Hi!
I'm having an issue where I mis-speak, or mis-pronounce
something. I have to say it again, but if I remove the sound, the
rest of the audio doesn't sync up with the video. If I replace with
silence there are long silences that I don't want. Is there any way
I can remove video when I remove sound so it all syncs up?

Does anyone know how the labeling of AIFs work in Garageband as I cant see a pattern.
The pattern I found seems to be like this:
filenames of aif-files start with a prefix, which is the name of the track, as to be seen in the track head at the time when the clip was recorded. If you later change the track name it will not change the filename,
the filenames are numbered with a chronological counter. The first clip recorded on that track is numbered "1", then "2" and so on. The number does not reflect the position on the track.
So, for example, an audio file named "sopran#01.aif" is the first recorded audio clip on a track, that was called "sopran" when the clip was recorded.
This is what I observed GB'11, I am not sure about previous versions of GB.

REMOVE BEATS AUDIO, LOAD GENERIC SOUND DRIVE, MAINTAIN OR REINSTALL STEREO MIX, HP ENVY, 8.1

HP Envy Touchscreen 15-k073ca Notebook (new) with Windows 8.1, Beats Audio and stereo mix Instructions as detailed as possible would be appreciated to totally remove Beats Audio from the notebook and load Windows generic sound drive. I would also like instructions on how to enable the stereo mix option which is included in the new notebook I do not know if totally removing Beats Audio also removes or adversely affects the stereo mix, if so, detailed instructions on how to repair or reinstall the stereo mix would also be appreciatedIf this becomes necessay, I would have to check with HP to see if the warranty is affected. To receive the best results with Audacity, stereo mix is required and Beats Audio has to be completely removed from the notebook. Beats Audio produces bad results when using Audacity Any response on all or part of this post would be appreciated

Follow these steps:Press Windows + R.Type msconfig and click OK.Click the Start up tab.Uncheck IDT PC Audio.Click Apply.Reboot.Press Windows + R.Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.Right click IDT device and click UninstallCheck the box to remove the driver.Reboot.This should disable the Beats Audio allowing you to uninstall it and subsequently force Windows to reinstall the generic audio drivers. Keep in mind without the Beats Audio you may not have access to the Stereo Mix feature. Is the Stereo Mix device not listed in recording devices or is it listed but showing unavailable? Typically the stereo mix feature will not work unless it is set as the default device or if the internal microphone is disabled. Let me know if this helps.

Removing Beats Audio

My company recently purchased a HP Envy. I am unable to hear anything even though the internal speakers are at 100%. I have Windows 8 and tried to "uninstall" Beats audio - it appears to be doing something...but, alas, Beats audio is still there & I still can't hear anything. If this has been answered somewhere else for my specific computer & OS, I apologize for not seeing it.

I understand that the audio from your notebook is not working, and that you are looking to remove Beats Audio. I would be happy to help you in this matter!
To further diagnose this issue, I recommend following the steps in this document on No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8). This should help restore the audio functions on your computer.
If you still wish to remove Beats Audio from your system, you can uninstall this program by following the steps below:
Press Windows + R.
Type msconfig and click OK.
Click the Start up tab.
Uncheck IDT PC Audio.
Click Apply.
Reboot.
Press Windows + R.
Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
Expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.
Right click IDT device and click Uninstall
Check the box to remove the driver.
Reboot
This should disable the Beats Audio allowing you to uninstall it and subsequently force Windows to reinstall the generic audio drivers.

Dave I'm glad to say that it works perfectly but I'm embarrassed to say that my 12 year old nephew hooked it up in about 10 minutes.
If you have the Kanex Mini DisplayPort cable it will work, what confused me was changing the display settings in System Preferences,
and dragging the mac screen from the mac onto the tv. Sorry I cant be more helpful but you have the right cable now you need a 12 year old nephew.
