REP-1401 error when excuting report
Hi,
I'm running a Report builder report that uses User Parameters and an Oracle stored procedure.
After providing the user parameters the report starts to run for a minute and then returns the message. REP-14-1: 'qr_1refcurds': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
Any suggestions on correcting this. The help was no help.
Thanks, Jim
Hi,
As mentioned in the Reports online Help (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/index.html), this error was caused due to an abnormal condition. Per the Action suggested, may be you would want to first contact your system administrator to determine if the message was caused by something other than Oracle Reports. If you determine that the message was not the result of user error or a system problem, then you can contact Oracle Support Services.

REP-0081 error when emailing report output
I am using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT to execute a report from a form. I have the report set up as a Report object in the form. The report runs fine to screen or to file, but I am getting an error when attempting to email report in batch mode:
REP-0081: Error during file I/O operation.
REP-0110: Unable to open file 'mpa02448.pdf'.
scaba 14
Execution Mode = Batch
Report Destination = Mail
Report Destination Name = [email protected]
Report Destination Format = PDF
I am able to send email to the same address via UTL_SMTP directly from the form, so it is not an email handler problem.
Any ideas?I have verified the latest patches.
Addresses are indeed in Windows address book.
As far as verifying permissions on the file, the file does not exist. It would appear that the error is generated when creating the PDF file, before emailing occurs. Again, however, I do not have problems writing to file directly.
Is there a default directory used when emailing report for file creation? Perhaps the permissions on that directory need to be changed. Please advise. -
Error when sending report output to printer from Forms 10g

I have a simple report that I am running from a form using run_report_object built-in. I can successfully send the report output to a file but when I send the report output to a printer my report is
terminated with report status of 'TERMINATED_WITH_ERROR'. I am using the default forms service and reports server that comes with the forms builder. How do I specify the reports server to user my default network printer ?Following is the code that runs my report.

Report Designer - Error when Loading Report
Hi,
We have created a report in Report Designer (7.0) and saved it. When we execute it runs fine. After closing the report and trying to reopen it, the report does not open. It gives an error "Error when Loading Report". Our BI frontend patch is 14.
Did anyone encounter this issue and is there a solution to this.
Thanks
HemantHello,
Please go to SE38 -> RS_REPORT_MAINTAIN,
Type your report name, and DT als "Report Type".
Goto edit mode, copy&paste this XML into txt file and send it to me ([email protected]). I will check whats going on with this report. Loading should be always possible.

If I remove the parameter I can create a report, however this will return all of the results of thw query to the report, rather than the desired results. If I add the parameter on the Crystal Report, the stored procedure then has to return all of the results to Crystal and then perform the filtering of records. By using a parameter in the stored procedure, you should be able to do all of the filtering as part of the query on the databse server, making this more efficient. -

It gives me REP-1401 Fatal PL/SQL/ error.

Vanessa Hi Vanessa,
what happens if :qty2 is zero?
it raise zero_divide exception.
so u need to write exception handler for that case
ur code will look like
function percent1Formula return Number is
v_percent number;
begin
v_percent := (:qty1 - :qty2) / :qty2 * 100;
return(v_percent);
exception
when zero_divide then
<do what u want to do in this case>
return(....);
when others
<do what u want to do in this case>
return(....);
end;
hope it is clear.

Shellie BrickerYour code seems to be implementing metalink note 139546.1 - Using Reports parameter forms with RUN_REPORT_OBJECT on the web.
For what I can see, the P_ACTION parameter should end in ?...
i.e.
P_ACTION=http://<hostname.domain:port>/reports/rwservlet?'
set_report_object_property (
repid,
report_other,
'paramform=yes P_USER_CONNECT='
|| vc_connect
|| ' P_SERVERNAME='
|| v_reportserv
|| ' P_ACTION='
|| v_report_url
|| '/reports/rwservlet?'
);If this does not fix your problem, then to troubleshoot further you would have to post the code in your Before Parameter Form trigger of your report.
Hope this helps,
UPDATE:
If the above does not fix your problem, my guess is that report name is not being generated in the hidden runtime values build by the code in the Before Parameter Form trigger.
i.e.
http://localhost:8889/reports/rwservlet?report=&destype=cache&desformat=PDF
The above code will throw error REP-52005: The specified key report does not exist in key map file.

REP-57000 Error When Generating a Report in EXCEL format
Hello All,
We're encountering an error that says "REP-57000: Oracle Reports API - Internal error: Item: oracle.reports.definition.RWReport;Prop:34; Attr: ]] ...".
The report works fine and is able to generate an EXCEL file when it retrieves around 3K records. We only encounter the error when the number of records exceeds 5K.
What is the cause of the error? Additional note, we're using Oracle Reports Server ver.10.1.2.0.2.
Any help would be greatly appeciated. =)In the reports engine conf file (Example on UAT -> rep_lonshutl5n2_10gr2_forms_reports_service.conf) add JVM Heap Options
jvmOptions="-Xms512m -Xmx512m"
First option is the minimum heap size and second is maximum. The size is in MB and max size can go up to 4000 depending on physical/virtual memory available on Operating System.
Change this Value from 512-2000 and try running your report
In case this doesn't solve your problem, change your output Format to DELIMITEDDATA and try running the reports. There is a bug in Oracle that it doesn't support large excel outputs in DELIMITED format. -
REP - 300 Error while executing report from Application
Hi,
I have report in Report Builder & for the same report form is there in Form Builder in which parameter page is designed. From application where I am calling report is internally calling form & in form Procedure Run Report is there which is calling report from Report Builder. Both report from builder & form form Builder are compiled . Also query is executing fine in Toad without error. Also all query fields are present in database.
But when I am trying to excute report from Application it is giving error as "REP - 300 Invalid Identifier " & it displays whole query.
Note - Report & it's Form are in ORACLE - 10g. Also the user through which I am executing report from application is ADMIN user , so it has executing permission.looks like error in parameters. check out the value of variable that you are passing through to report from form. Put a messages to see variable values before execute report.

Hi ,
How can I solve below mentioned problem?
In report it is showing the Error like "Rep-1401 'Desc_thickformula' Fatal PL/SQL error occured
ora-06502 PL/SQL numeric or value error". Before this report is working fine.
No modification done in the report.Now it is showing the error.
When choosing one of the parameter value :Ptype =ALL then only this report having problem.
When selecting :ptype any individual value it is working.
I don't know how this error occurred. Any solution for this please send? it would be very helpful for me?Before this report is working fine in all the cases of parameter selection.
No modification done in the report.
When choosing one of the parameter value :Ptype =ALL then only this report having problem.
When selecting :ptype any individual value it is working.
when selecting two individual value in the parameter it i not working.
What might be the the problem when value :Ptype =ALL? -
Ora-06503/rep-1401 with my second report
hello :D
im making my second report (new to reports, self studying)
i encountered REP-1401-'cf_itemtypeformula': Fatal PL/SQL error occured.
then i tried to trace the error by putting srw.message() in parts of the code to try to figure out the problem
here is cf_itemtype currently
function CF_itemtypeFormula return Char is
itype char(60);
begin
srw.message(1000,'item type is'||:p_itemtype);
--return ' ';
if :p_itemtype = '%-ALL' then
itype:=' ';
srw.message(1005,'itype code is'||itype);
return itype;
else
srw.message(1003,'item type is'||:p_itemtype); --it prints this one
itype:='AND il.itty_code= itty.code and itty.item_type = '''||:p_itemtype||''' ';
--itype:=' ';
srw.message(1005,'itype code is'||itype); --and never reaches this line i think.
return itype;
end if;
exception
when value_error then
srw.message(1007,'value error');
end;
i think the error is because of this line
'AND il.itty_code= itty.code and itty.item_type = '''||:p_itemtype||''' '
because when i comment it out and uncomment itype:=' '; the srw.message(1005,'itype code is'||itype); works
thanksHi,
You just need to increase the length of itype.
Or even better option is to return the value directly without assigning to a local variable.
return ('AND il.itty_code= itty.code and itty.item_type = '''||:p_itemtype||''' ');Your over all function without the SRW messages will be like, you don't even need Exception handler:
function CF_itemtypeFormula return Char is
begin
if :p_itemtype = '%-ALL' then
return (' ');
else
retrun ('AND il.itty_code= itty.code and itty.item_type = '''||:p_itemtype||''' ');
end if;
end;Also I have doubt about your if statement, I dont understand what you are trying to do by this.
> if :p_itemtype = '%-ALL' then
May be you just need to check if :p_itemtype is null
so may be your above IF clause will be like
> if :p_itemtype IS NULL then

Error when running reports on the WEB
Hi,
I have been successful in deploying our application on the Web,
using WebDB listener, Developer Server, Report Server and JInitiator 1.1.7.18.
Now the forms on the web runs fine without any problem but
when I run Reports from Forms using RUN_PRODUCT built-in by passing parameters from Forms to Reports it generates this following error: REP-0081-Error During I/O operation and REP-0110: Unable to open file "<<file>>.html" scaba 14.
The strange thing about the REP-0110 is, it refer to a path that is not defined in my registry(FORMS60_OUTPUT,_MAPPING, REPORTS60_PATH,_TMP,_WEBLOC,_WEBLOC_TRANSLATED) and neither my physical directory in the directory mappings which I defined on the web server. (I refer to a the path mindpack4.1 and the REP-0110 refer to mindpack4_1)
Any help appreciated.
ThanksHello pals,
i have set the following parameters: TMPDIR and REPORTS60_TMP...
and it seems to be working!!!
i hope that the problem is not somewhere else.
NB. I was having problems with 2 reports only. the others were
working fine.
any comments will be most welcomed.

Rep-1247 error when starting jsp file on linux
I have a rather frustrating problem on our production servers...

The after paramform does some major data manipulations, writing to temporary tables (on commit preserve rows), that are used in queries from the reports.
This seems to go allright. The setup of all queries, program units etc passes as well. But when the report has to start formatting, I get a "1247 Program Unit not compiled" error message. This is an excerpt from the engine trace

Funny thing is, when copying the jsp's to another reports server, they do run (on the same DB).

We are trying to start jsp files on a linux report server (10Gr2).
The command is displayed below
[2007/10/8 10:57:59:853] Info 50132 (EngineImpl:setCommandLine): Get command line: baseUrl=http://xxxxx:7777/reports/rwservlet/getfile/ userid=reporting@SHARED_BE USER_AGENT=Java/1.5.0_07 SERVER_NAME=xxxxxxxxx jobname="/opt/ogreports/catalog/SMC/BE-Shared/xxxx.jsp" destpath="/var/data/og/dashboard/van/sgs/001/reports/xx" getFilestr=/no> imagekey=reports9i par_end_date="01-10-2007" desname=xxxxxxxxxxx.pdf REMOTE_ADDR=127.0.0.1 SERVER_PROTOCOL=HTTP/1.1 authid=RWUser par_start_date="01-09-2007" destype=rcpfile REMOTE_HOST=127.0.0.1 SERVER_PORT=7777 CONTENT_TYPE=application/x-www-form-urlencoded report="/opt/ogreports/catalog/SMC/BE-Shared/xxx.jsp" expiredays=0 baseimageurl=http://xxxxx:7777/reports/rwservlet/getfile/HW/YX+JkD0HSAcVLzaSGilrWNAn36ufghgStsvQqfNFC7w== schedule="00:00 Oct 08, 2007" scphost="lion" desformat=pdf SCRIPT_NAME=/rwservlet par_id_project="1750"

I know that 1247 normally covers up another error, but I don't seem to get it....
Funny thing is, when copying the jsp's to another reports server, they do run (on the same DB).

REP-300 Error while running report using App Server
Hi,
I am currently trying to run a report using the Application Server.
This report is being called from a form.
I am able to connect to the report server and all configurations seems to be correct.
But when I execute the report from the form, I am getting error "Unable to run report"
When I look at the error message in the Report Server queue, I find
"REP-300 Table or View does not exist.."
But that table does exist in the database.
What could be be the problem ?
Please help.
The code in the form that calls the report is
report_id := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT( report_name );
vc_user_name:=get_application_property(username);
vc_user_password:=get_application_property(password);
vc_user_connect:=get_application_property(connect_string);
vc_connect:=vc_user_name||'/'||vc_user_password||'@'||vc_user_connect;
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id ,REPORT_OTHER, 'paramform=yes p_user_connect='||vc_connect ||' p_servername=repsrv'||' p_action=<host>/reports/rwservlet?' );
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id, parmlist_id);The report is working perfectly fine when I run it from the Report Builder. I get the correct output.
I am getting this error when I try to run the report through a Report server.
I run the form from the Forms 10g builder. This form has a button "Run Report". When I click on the button the report is run using the Report server.
This is when I get the error.
There are other forms that are also called via the same form. Those work fine. The only difference between those forms and this one is that this one has user parameters passed to it. This one also has an attached library attached to it.
The code in the Form to call the report is
report_id := FIND_REPORT_OBJECT( report_name );
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id, REPORT_COMM_MODE, SYNCHRONOUS);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id, REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE, BATCH);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id, REPORT_DESTYPE, FILE);
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id, REPORT_DESFORMAT, 'pdf');
SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(report_id, REPORT_SERVER, 'rep-vena01-xp');
v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(report_id, parmlist_id );
v_jobid := substr( v_rep, length( v_reportserver) + 2, length(v_rep) );
v_repstatus := REPORT_OBJECT_STATUS( v_rep );
IF ( v_repstatus = 'FINISHED' ) THEN
v_url := '/reports/rwservlet/getjobid' || v_jobid || '?server=' || v_reportserver ;
web.show_document( v_url, '_BLANK' );
END IF;
