Repeate Row Totals on every horizontal pages in Crosstab.

Hi
I have a crosstab which grows multiple page horizontally.
I have Row totals that are displayed on the left of summary. I want to display this totals on every horizontal page.
Can anyone tell mw how to achieve this.
I am using Crystal Reports XI with SP as data source.

Right Click on the Cross Tab->Cross-Tab Expert-> Customize Style tab.
Select the 'Horizontal' option under summarized Fields:
Select the 'Repeat Row Labels' option under 'Grid Options'
Click 'OK'
However it is not possible to dispaly the row totals for the data dispalyed on that particular page.
Because the data is calulated for the entire cross-tab.

We have Crosstab tab in which columns grows horizontally and rows too grow vertically. It automatically page breaks when it reached the page layout width.
My requirement is to number the all the pages in Page N of M format.
But if we use the special field "PAGE N of M" it doesnot number the horizontal pages (it can be only be repeated)
If we use the special field "Horizontal page number"- it number horizontal page number alones.
Is there any workaround to number the horizontal (virtual)pages also along with the normal pages.
We tried on various formulas by making use of no.of columns but nothing worked out.
It would be of great help if someone helps me out in a workaround for numbering all the pages(including the horizontal pages)

I did try to implement your example to my existing report.
My current report will always have expanded horizontal pages for two different crosstabs from two different group footers.
When I attempted to add the {@ Page Header} field/formula to my crosstab Column, it automatically changed to a different database field from my database.
Have you experienced this before?
Other then that, the pages seem to be getting counted correctly by the {@Page Number} formula.
Here is a screen shot of my current report.
I need my page numbering to be at the bottom center for all of my pages.

Totals Based on Multiple Criteria in Repeating Rows

Hi All,
I have 3 dropdowns (DD1, DD2, DD3) and one textfield (TF1) in repeating rows (not in a table). Each dropdown has two choices and the textfield is free-form. Outside of the rows (in a different subform) I want totals based on multiple criteria from the dropdowns and textfields.
The following script works great to get a total number of one choice from one dropdown.
this.rawValue = xfa.resolveNodes('form1.Form.row[*].DD1.[$.rawValue == "2"]').length;
Problem is how do I calculate the totals for the following based on the criteria listed in each row.
Find the totals for ML
Number of New Forms 1-2 Pages: (result should be 2)
Number of New Forms 3+ Pages: (result should be 1)
Number of Revised Form: (result should be 0)
In row #1: select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “5” in TF1.
In row #2: select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2 , “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.
In row #3: select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “2” in TF1.
In row #4: select “Revised” as a choice from DD1, “Series” as choice from DD2, “ML” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.
In row #5: select “New” as a choice from DD1, “Form” as choice from DD2, “PM” as a choice from DD3 and enter “1” in TF1.

But if you wanted totals for all the permutations then this could become slow.

Can the footer repeat on every printed page?

I need the footer (part of the master page) to repeat on every printed page of a topic.
Our client prints topics for use in the field and the footer contains time/date code (that I found on the internet). This date/time info needs to be printed on all pages of each topic. Most of the topics are 2-3 pages in length when printed from the browser. Is it possible to program the footer to repeat? or add HTML code to the topics to do this?
I'm using RH 9, generating the WebHelp Pro layout for my output. Using IE9 and FireFox9 browsers. I've added a toolbar print button that uses the toolbarscripts01.js script to print the topics. (The script works great and is a HUGE life saver, by the way!! Thanks Peter Grainge!)

Hi Shelley
We've already established in a separate thread that WebHelp Pro is not what you should be creating as you aren't using RoboHelp Server. But that really hasn't got anything to do with the footers.
What you likely need to do is to supply a PDF that will be used to print. When RoboHelp creates Printed Documentation it first creates a Word document. And if you have elected to create a PDF, the PDF is created from the Word document. So what you can do is to forego the PDF from RoboHelp and manually tweak the Word document to add the desired footers. Then you could create a PDF from that to supply to the user.

Repeat group header on every page before group footer as group spans across

I have a group which spans across multiple pages.In group there are two subreports in Group footer.I have set all the required parameters to repeat group header on every page in group expert,but not getting desired results,please help....

I have following structure in my report.
I have two group headers at the top,first one contains name of the site & site number,second header contains Site-Admin as heading,below which i have kept details section of report which displays name of administrator which repeats details section in case there are more than one adminstrators.
Below this i have two group footers which individually contain each of the two sub-reports.
As per data,these individual subreport may or may not begin at the beginning of the new page every
time,therefore fake group header put at the beginning of these sub-reports may come in middle of the page sometime,so thet cant be done.

Repeating Multiple header rows of table in subsequent pages

Hi Gurus,,
I'm struck in a typical problem.
I have a Table with 2 header rows in a flowed subform.
when content flows to the next page, the table displays either the Ist header row or the second Header row depending on the checkbox selected for the individual header row.
The problem is how to get both the rows in the next page.
When I try to select both the header rows for display in initial as well as subsequent pages either of the one only remains on activation of the form.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi Srini Vasan,
In the Hierarchy View of the Palettes, goto the Table you created, Right click on one of the Header Rows in the Hierarchy View, there you select Group as Section. Now a section will be created, in this you drag another Header Row also(in Hierarchy View only).
Now goto Object Palette of Subform(where the Table is present in the subform), for this you make Content as "Flowed", Flow Direction as "Top to Bottom", and select "Allow Page Breaks within content". For this Subform goto Binding Tab and there select "Repeat Subform for each Data item, select "min count" and enter 1 and dont select "max count" and "initial Count".
Now goto object Palette of Table in that select "Allow Page Breaks within content". now goto Binding in that select "Repeat Subform for each Data item, and dont select "min count", "max count" and "initial Count".
Now goto the object palette of the newly created Section inside a table. for this goto Pagination there select "Include Header Row in Initial Page" and also "Include Header Row in Sunsequent Pages". Now goto Binding Tab and there select "Repeat Subform for each Data item, select "min count" and enter 1 and dont select "max count" and "initial Count".
Now goto object Palette of Table Row in that select "Allow Page Breaks within content". now goto Binding in that select "Repeat Subform for each Data item, select "min count" and enter 1 and dont select "max count" and "initial Count".

Last row missing for every page in webreport printing

Hi Friends,
We are facing a challenge while printing web report.
Lets say report output contains 500 lines and lines are divided in to 10 pages.
Each page contains 50 rows. When exexute the Printing in webreport we are getting only first 49 rows for each page. Last 50 row is missing for each page.
What could be the problem.
Please help me how to fix this issue. I am not aware of this webreporting Html code.Please frineds help me how to fix this issue.

Repeat same page on every even page

Hi,
The customer printed his documents prepinted pages which has printed back side.
I need to print same text(Terms and conditions) onto each page back side.
This means I need to put fix page as every even page independently the main dynamic text.
Is it possible?
So I need to know where is the page brake.

Use even page headers and footer option and put all your Terms & Conditions in even page header or footer and make sure your T&C occupies a full page (inset blank lines to fill the page)

Discoverer Report Row Total

We are running Oracle BI Discoverer Viewer version 11.1.1.4.0. When we upgraded to this version we lost some functionality. In the previous version the report displayed the number of rows the query returned. Now the row totals display only under certain conditions. For instance, I have a inventory report name INV-REP-120 and it prompts the user for 6 parameters & displays 6 columns of data. One of the parameters is named ‘Keyword' and I’ll use this one in the problem description. When I set the keyword parameter to ‘HINGE’ The bar at the top of the results sheet it displays:
‘Rows 1-25 of 81, Columns 1-6 of 9’
When I change the keyword to ‘TUBE’ the viewer displays:
‘Rows 1-25, Columns 1-6 of 9’
The total rows are not displayed but the number of pages. It appears that if the total number of rows is less than 200 then the row total is displayed. I changed the rows displayed from 25 to 100 and scrolled down to the last page and now the reports displays:
‘451 – 458 of 458, Columns 1-6 of 9’
When I use the key word TEE I get :
‘Rows 1-50, Columns 1-6 of 9’
There are 596 tees, which would be about 12 pages of 50 rows. I noticed that at the top of table there is a field ‘Page 1 of 5.’ It looks like if there are more than 5 pages it does not display the total number of rows.
There seems to be some interaction between the total number of rows the number of rows per page and perhaps a setup on the back-end that determines whether or not the row total is displayed. How can I configure the viewer at the front-end and/or back-end to consistently display the row total for a report? Is there a Discoverer preference located in the pref.txt in the apps server that controls this?

You can inform to your SP to edit the table EUL4_documents
and ask him to modify the name of the report that is stored in the column DOC_NAME .There is absolutely no necessary to open the work book that is stored in the database and change the work book name

BP Aging Anamolies (Period amounts and Row total anamoly)

Hi All,
Is there a known bug with the Customer Receivables Ageing Report and Suppliers Liabilities Ageing Report in SAP B1 v2005A PL 18?
When trying to produce Backdated BP Aging report;
1. The Total amount for several BP accounts reflected on the ageing report match the respective BP account balance as at the selected date, but the ageing amounts across the page (ageing intervals) do NOT correctly cross-add to the row Total
2 The Grand total of the Total column of the ageing report does NOT agree to the balance of the corresponding GL control account as at the "Posting date: To"
3. The rogue BP accounts involved all seem to have had some "reversing" transactions which give rise to the variance, such as: JE debits which have been included in the calculation of the account balance/row Total (often = Nil) of the BP report, but do NOT appear to have been included in the total of the interval in which the JEs occurred.
Incoming Payments that have been cancelled, such that the debit transaction (the reversal) has been included in the calculation of the account/row Total (often = Nil) of the BP report, but does NOT appear to have been included in the total of the interval in which the cancellation occurred.
Report Selection Criteria:
Customer/Supplier group: All
Interval: Periods
Ageing date:
From: blank
To: prior end-of-period date

Create data merged document with data on every second page?

Is it possible to create a data merged document with the variable data only on every second page?
I have set up the pages with the variable data as a master page (on every odd page) with the text box and paragraph style all set up, and I have set 'override master page items' so the data can be placed, but InDesign seems to freeze up when I try to create the merged document?

There should be no problem doing the merge with a two-page master and a two-page template document with fields only on one page (and off the top of my head there's no reason to move them off the master page if that's where you put them). I think the problem here is that rachrachm already has a file of 500 pages (based on another thread asking how to apply masters to every other page).
It's potentially possible to simply place the data file (without the header row) as a text file and auto-flow through the master page frames (can't say for sure without seeing the files), or if the pages without the merge fields are the same just, remove all but the first two pages from the template and do the merge.
As I metioned earlier, though, this is a very inefficient method of producing that sort of document. A true variable data print flow would be better (you'd need to find a commercial printer who can do it with your data file), or the home version would be to make one single page file for the static content, print 250 copies (plus a few extras, just in case), then make a single page merge template, do the merge, and print that on the back of the already printed pages, or as a separate page. It is immeasurably faster to print multiple copies of a document than it is to print a document that has multiple identical pages.

Specifying an instance of a repeatable row

I am trying to bind the data between two fields that are both repeatable. Basically, I have a table with a repeatable row, and in this row the user will enter a part name and a part number and various other information. They will also specify wither the part is "New" or "Change." For each part that is marked as "Change," I add an instance to a repeatable table on another page of the form (this table is only present for parts marked as "Change," so if I have five rows in the first table and only three parts are marked as "Change," then I should have three instances of the table on page two). This is all well and good, but the tables on the second page should have a field for part name and part number that matches what is in the corresponding row on page 1. Initially, I wrote a for loop that set the value of the fields in the first instance of the table on page two to the value of the fields in the first instance of the row on page one. However, this won't work because it does not take into account whether the row is marked as "Change" or "New." Is there a way to evaluate or identify something as the first instance where a value is true or false? e.g. - make a field equal to the first instance of a row where a condition is true\

I am not sure where the code you have shown is being used, but you could try using the calculate event of the second table, this would give you some code like;

How can I print a contact sheet with a repeated row of images?

Hi there,
I am hoping that it is possible with my version of iPhoto to print a contact sheet on which I need to have a row of 8 pictures that then repeat down the entire page.
I understand how to set the slider for the number of "rows" across the page. But, how do I then get these 8 pictures to repeat on the same piece of paper?
I am an art teacher...need to do this for a project for my class!

A contact sheet can only put each photo once on the page. I can't think of a way to do it in iPhoto.
I was able to do what you describe in Photoshop Elements. If you have access to that program you can give it a try.
In Photoshop Elements, open all 8 photos.
Choose File->Contact Sheet II
Source Images Use: Current Open Documents
Thumbnails: Place across first, Columns: 8, Rows 1 (Use Auto Spacing)
Uncheck "Use Filename as Caption" unless you want the names.
Click OK.
You then need to move the row of photos to the top of the page with the move tool. Then while holding down the option and shift keys, use the move tool to drag copies repeatedly until you've filled the page.

Repeate Row Totals on every horizontal pages in Crosstab.
