Repeated error when synching pearl - calender won't load

My Pearl is having a meltdown.  Everyone time I try to synch the calender gives me an error message at exactly the same spot - record 128 of 262.  It has also randomly deleted several past years of appointments, and when I tried to restore has wiped out appointments on my Pearl but not on my Outlook.  I tried to over-write from Outlook onto my Pearl; no luck.  I tried to reinstall the software; no luck.  I'm ready to chuck it out the window!

Hi Gyro gyrl and welcome to the forums!
What is the error message do you get?
What software did you reinstall?
Which way is the sync running when it fails:
1) from device to Desktop
2) from desktop to device?
If it's 1 You have a corrupt entry in the device calendar
If it's 2 You have a corrupt entry in the Outlook calendar.
Let me know the answer to the questions,
Thanks

  • 800w error when synching (exchange server?)

    Hello,
Bought an 800w but haven't been able to synch properly since initially setting up the device. I get the following error when synching:
"The server could not be reached.  This can be caused by temporary network conditions."
Googled for solutions and came to the conclusion that the phone and/or PC thinks I'm on an exchange server as if I were at work. However, this is my home PC and it is not networked (except for wireless internet).
I'm thinking this is simply a settings error, but I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas?
    Much appreciated!
Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

Is the error when you sync "over the air" or when you connect to your PC? What kind of email do you have set up?

  • Errors when scheduling scenarios for agents using load balancing

    Hi,
I have set up my ODI environment and have successfully manged to:
    * run scenarios manually in development repository
    * schedule scenarios and run on execution repository with one agent.
However when I try to set up a second agent to load balance the scenarios I get the following error below.
It seems to be a load balancing problem because I can run the scenario's successfully in every other case.
I am running an oracle RAC database. (2 servers, one oracle instance on each). I have set up one ODI agent on each server and I am trying to load balance between these 2 agents.
In topology I have set up 1 logical agent. Physical agent 1 is linked to itself and also to Physical Agent 2 under the load balancing tab.
For my scenario's I have 2 master scenarios (which are the ones scheduled) that call a number of other scenarios in the correct order.
    Could anyone assist me please?
    Thanks,
    Matthew

    Hi,
I'm wondering whether there may be a design flaw in the way our scenario's have been created / are executed.
Currently we have x number of scenarios executed by a x master scenario.
There are also y number of scenarios executed by a y master scenario.
These master scenarios are the ones scheduled against the agent and they call the "sub-scenarios".
We experience the above error when one of the "sub-scenarios" of a master scenario is executed on a different agent to where the master scenario is executed.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • When I load Itunes it repeatedly shows Apps I have previously deleted. I go ahead and delete them again, but next time I load iTunes, I see the same Apps appearing and then get an error when synching

here is screen show of how iTUnes look when I load - you will see the Erroneous Apps in grey and no graphic
btw, the device I use is an iPhone 4s

I recently hit the update itunes button ever since then when i try to go into my itunes store i see the labels for example the movie titles but no pictures. When I hit the button to rent or buy a movie or any thing elese I get an error message with the number (309) saying I can't access itunes store try again later.
    Is that a 306 rather than a 309?
If so, try the following procedure.
    (1) In your Start menu, select Control Panel.
    (2) Open the Internet Options control panel. (You may need to select Classic View on the left before you can see Internet Options.)
    (3) Click the Connections tab.
    (4) Click the LAN Settings button.
    (5) Uncheck "Use a Proxy Server for your LAN". (If that option is already unchecked, try checking and then unchecking it.)
    (6) Click OK to exit the LAN Settings dialog.
    (7) Click OK to exit the Internet Options control panel.
    (8) Restart the PC and try connecting to the Store again.

  • File not Found error when synching Ipod

I have a fairly new Ipod and synced successfully for months, but now iTunes says it cant synch because of a "File not Found error" (no error number or other clues). I'm running the latest iTines and Ipod software, and I've reset USB drivers but still no luck. I cant reset the iPod itself becase I then got a "1418 error", which is why I then reset USB. I'm stuck, has anyone seen this before?
The Ipod itself plays fine and Itunes recgnises it OK, albeit very slowly, even thought I'm using USB 2.
One other piece of info; when this first happened, the sync must have first deleted the songs I no longer wanted, prior to unsuccesfully adding new ones. Those old songs show up on the iPod but are skipped when I try to play them.

Its on the same thread as this one ("connecting iPod nano (second Generation ) to Windows"). Scroll through the authors, you will find it.

  • Time Machine: Repeated errors when backing up for the first time using a new external firewire drive

My Iomega 500GB firewire external drive failed on me last week and I have just replaced it with an identical model. I used to use the old drive with Time Machine on my MacBook Pro running 10.5.8 with no issues, until the drive had a hardware failure and stopped spinning up, hence the replacement.
Two days ago I tried using Time Machine for the first time with the replacement external drive. The backup failed and each subsequent backup attempt has failed since then with a different error each time. The drive cannot be ejected using Finder (Finder says disk is in use and cannot be ejected even when no processes are running except for Finder and Time Machine has been disabled), by dragging it to the dock (hangs computer which can only be fixed by a hard reboot), in Disk Utilities (drive cannot be unmounted) or in Terminal ("no such file or directory").
The first backup attempt failed after 3 hours of "preparing" with the message "The backup was not performed because an error occured while creating backup directory".
I tried repairing the disk in Disk Utilities and Disk Utilities said the drive was OK ("the volume Time Machine Backups appears to be OK"). I tried ejecting the drive (hard reboot of computer and disconnecting the drive), plugging it back in again and trying again.
This time it started backing up, then failed after a few minutes with the message "an error occured while copying files to the backup volume". I had a look at the troubleshooting suggested on http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/C3.html and followed instructions. It failed again, so I did a full reset as per http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/A4.html.
It failed again, so I tried reparing the drive again in Disk Utilities and again it said it was OK. I tried using different cables and ports (Firewire 400 instead of Firewire 800), and backups still fail.
I have turned off anti-virus scanning (Sophos). I have tried excluding it from Spotlight but this causes an error message from Spotlight. I have tried trashing the com.apple.TimeMachine.plist file and rebooting. I have tried selecting deselecting the drive as the back up in Time Machine preferences, selecting "None", then "Stop Backing Up" then quitting preferences, rebooting, disconnecting the drive, reconnecting the drive and selecting the drive again as the backup disk in Time Machine preferences. I have tried erasing the drive completely, rebooting, and trying to back up again.
None of these have worked. This is a brand new drive and I do not want to have to replace it again if I do not have to.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

    Hello, some possible clues...
Should you click “Start New Backup”? Not yet! If you see the dialog above, your existing Time Machine backup is corrupt, and you might not be able to recover data from it. But you can save a copy of the corrupt bundle and, perhaps, extract some data from it if needed.
Ask yourself if Time Machine has saved data you might need before deciding what to do next:
If you are sure you won’t need anything backed up before today, click “Start New Backup” and let Time Machine do its thing.
Otherwise, click “Back Up Later” and save a copy before letting Time Machine start a new backup. Just look for a file called “computername.sparsebundle” (for network backups) or “Backups.backupdb” (for local ones) and create a copy with a different name. You can open sparsebundle files with DiskImageMounter and browse them like any other disk. More information is available here.
There you go. If you click “Start New Backup” when you see this dialog box, Time Machine will erase all of your old backup data and start a new bundle. It won’t be corrupt, but it will be empty.
Note that you can manually initiate a Time Machine backup integrity check by option-clicking the “Time Machine” icon in the menu bar and selecting “Verify Backups.”
    http://blog.fosketts.net/2010/08/11/time-machine-completed-verification-backups- improve-reliability-time-machine-create-backup/
According to This Time Machine resource   “This appears only on Snow Leopard, and started with the Time Capsule Backup Update 1.0 in mid-May of 2010.  It also seems to have been included in the 10.6.3 v1.1 update and 10.6.4.”
So, what can you do about it?  Grin and bear it, it seems, until Apple fixes it.
One thing you can do to make the backup take less time is to connect your machine to your Time Capsule or other backup drive via Ethernet for the duration of the initial backup.

  • Microsoft C++ Runtime Error when synching Q5 to Outlook 2007 calendar

Attempting to synch my Q5 to Outlook 2007 calendar I get an error message that states: <Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
Program:ResearchinMotion\BlackberryLlink\BlackBerryLink.exe. The app has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the app's support team for more info.>
I am running Windows XP and Office Professional 2007.
I have had the phone for more than a year and only recently has this problem developed. I have uninstalled BlackBerryLink from my programs and my downloads and re-installed it 3 times. Each time I attempt to synch it takes 19-22 minutes "Getting status information from BlackBerry Calendar " before the the error message appears. I have checked and the only calendars synching are Home and BBLink.
@BlackBerryHelp sent me to a knowledge base article blck.by/1wEvCts  on Lotus Notes even after I explained 3 times that I was using Outlook not Lotus Notes. Then they told me to contact "Windows".
So far I have missed 1 very important meeting because the appointment was not in my phone. Please help! I love my BB Q5 and I REALLY need my calendars to synch!!!

  • I am receiving an error message when updating itunes - now won't load?

Somehow my Itunes update was interrupted a few days ago and now I am receiving an error message "Error 7 Windows 126" and MSVCR80.dll was not found and need reinstallation.   Thanks

    Try the following user tip:
Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates
Fo the reinstall, use a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website. (Delete any versions of the installer file that you currently have in your downloads areas.)

  • When i run the icloud control panel  3.1 , the error is repair , this still won't load icloud

How do I repair 3.1 on windows 8 and Outlook

Restart the PC. Go into your "Uninstall a program" control panel, select "iCloud control panel" and click "Repair"
Can you launch the iCloud control panel now?

  • What to do when my Macbook air won't load from startup. It hangs in the middle during the black apple screen at the beginning

my Mac book air will not start up it hangs in the middle of the status bar when I turn it on and will not move.

Take each of these steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
To restart an unresponsive computer, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the power shuts off, then release, wait a few more seconds, and press it again briefly.
    Step 1
The first step in dealing with a startup failure is to secure the data. If you want to preserve the contents of the startup drive, and you don't already have at least one current backup, you must try to back up now, before you do anything else. It may or may not be possible. If you don't care about the data that has changed since the last backup, you can skip this step.
There are several ways to back up a Mac that is unable to start. You need an external hard drive to hold the backup data.
    a. Start up from the Recovery partition, or from a local Time Machine backup volume (option key at startup.) When the OS X Utilities screen appears, launch Disk Utility and follow the instructions in this support article, under “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility.” The article refers to starting up from a DVD, but the procedure in Recovery mode is the same. You don't need a DVD if you're running OS X 10.7 or later.
    b. If Step 1a fails because of disk errors, and no other Mac is available, then you may be able to salvage some of your files by copying them in the Finder. If you already have an external drive with OS X installed, start up from it. Otherwise, if you have Internet access, follow the instructions on this page to prepare the external drive and install OS X on it. You'll use the Recovery installer, rather than downloading it from the App Store.
    c. If you have access to a working Mac, and both it and the non-working Mac have FireWire or Thunderbolt ports, start the non-working Mac in target disk mode. Use the working Mac to copy the data to another drive. This technique won't work with USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth.
    d. If the internal drive of the non-working Mac is user-replaceable, remove it and mount it in an external enclosure or drive dock. Use another Mac to copy the data.
    Step 2
If the startup process stops at a blank gray screen with no Apple logo or spinning "daisy wheel," then the startup volume may be full. If you had previously seen warnings of low disk space, this is almost certainly the case. You might be able to start up in safe mode even though you can't start up normally. Otherwise, start up from an external drive, or else use the technique in Step 1b, 1c, or 1d to mount the internal drive and delete some files. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation.
    Step 3
Sometimes a startup failure can be resolved by resetting the NVRAM.
    Step 4
If a desktop Mac hangs at a plain gray screen with a movable cursor, the keyboard may not be recognized. Press and hold the button on the side of an Apple wireless keyboard to make it discoverable. If need be, replace or recharge the batteries. If you're using a USB keyboard connected to a hub, connect it to a built-in port.
    Step 5
If there's a built-in optical drive, a disc may be stuck in it. Follow these instructions to eject it.
    Step 6
Press and hold the power button until the power shuts off. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed to start up, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Use a different keyboard and/or mouse, if those devices are wired. If you can start up now, one of the devices you disconnected, or a combination of them, is causing the problem. Finding out which one is a process of elimination.
    Step 7
If you've started from an external storage device, make sure that the internal startup volume is selected in the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences.
Start up in safe mode. Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Post for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know the login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
When you start up in safe mode, it's normal to see a dark gray progress bar on a light gray background. If the progress bar gets stuck for more than a few minutes, or if the system shuts down automatically while the progress bar is displayed, the startup volume is corrupt and the drive is probably malfunctioning. In that case, go to Step 11. If you ever have another problem with the drive, replace it immediately.
If you can start and log in in safe mode, empty the Trash, and then open the Finder Info window on the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) Check that you have at least 9 GB of available space, as shown in the window. If you don't, copy as many files as necessary to another volume (not another folder on the same volume) and delete the originals. Deletion isn't complete until you empty the Trash again. Do this until the available space is more than 9 GB. Then restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode.)
If the startup process hangs again, the problem is likely caused by a third-party system modification that you installed. Post for further instructions.
    Step 8
Launch Disk Utility in Recovery mode (see Step 1.) Select the startup volume, then run Repair Disk. If any problems are found, repeat until clear. If Disk Utility reports that the volume can't be repaired, the drive has malfunctioned and should be replaced. You might choose to tolerate one such malfunction in the life of the drive. In that case, erase the volume and restore from a backup. If the same thing ever happens again, replace the drive immediately.
This is one of the rare situations in which you should also run Repair Permissions, ignoring the false warnings it may produce. Look for the line "Permissions repair complete" at the end of the output. Then restart as usual.
    Step 9
If the startup device is an aftermarket SSD, it may need a firmware update and/or a forced "garbage collection." Instructions for doing this with a Crucial-branded SSD were posted here. Some of those instructions may apply to other brands of SSD, but you should check with the vendor's tech support.
    Step 10
Reinstall the OS. If the Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
    Step 11
Do as in Step 9, but this time erase the startup volume in Disk Utility before installing. The system should automatically restart into the Setup Assistant. Follow the prompts to transfer the data from a Time Machine or other backup.
    Step 12
This step applies only to models that have a logic-board ("PRAM") battery: all Mac Pro's and some others (not current models.) Both desktop and portable Macs used to have such a battery. The logic-board battery, if there is one, is separate from the main battery of a portable. A dead logic-board battery can cause a startup failure. Typically the failure will be preceded by loss of the settings for the startup disk and system clock. See the user manual for replacement instructions. You may have to take the machine to a service provider to have the battery replaced.
    Step 13
If you get this far, you're probably dealing with a hardware fault. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.

  • Errors when using Spark Buttons in dynamically loaded modules loaded by dynamically loaded modules

Ok ... I have to admit this issue is rather special ;-)
I have a flex application that loads a list of modules after the user logs in, depending on the permissions of the user.
One of these modules contains a component, that allows the user to configure settings for different types of objects.
For each object type (can be extended) there exists one module swf.
The strange problem I am having now is that as soon as a Spark Button (or anything derived from one ... CheckBox) inside the settings-module. I get the following error (unfortunately in german ... but I'll try to translate).
This error happens when using a spark CheckBox (Which is derived from Spark Button):
ArgumentError: Error #2004: Einer der Parameter ist ungültig.

When having a look at the problem the cause is that width and height are not set (NaN).
If I use a plain Button I get the same error in "drawRoundRect".
As soon as I change back to a mx-Button/Checkbox, everything is fine.
In my current Case I wanted to use a custom TreeItemRenderer to display a CheckBox in the tree. This tree Item renderer is included in a custom Lib that is used by all modules.
I have one Second Level module using this renderer. I have one Third Level Module thas uses the exact same tree definition. If I use the MX CheckBox I get CheckBoxes in the Second- and Third-Level Module. If I use the Spark-CheckBox I get a CheckBox in my Second Level Module and the above Error in the Third Level Module.
To make everything even stranger: I have a custom component loading my modules and I use this in the Top Level Module to load the Second Level Modules and in my Second Level Module to load my Third Level Modules (So I would guess If my loader is broken, then the Second Level Modules should not work either).
    Help is greatly appreciated :-)
    Regards,
          Chris

Ok, I managed to find out what was going wrong and to get my stuff working again. I have to admit that I have no idea why my application / flex was showing this behaviour. The only way I could track this down was by undoing the Subversion checkins one by one. Finding out what was happening using common sense seems to be out of the question with this issue.
My application is built up of a main application swf that loads module swfs and a library swc that contains common stuff and is used in the main application and the modules.
I now had some custom TreeItemRenderers in my modules. The problem was caused by moving a custom TreeItemRenderer from one module to the library-swc. I could successfully reproduce this. If I add only one class extending TreeItemRenderer to my library (I don't even have to use it), the entire flex system goes haywire. As soon as I remove that class, everything is ok. I checked, if there might be a problem with third party libs containing flex core classes which might be used instead of the sdk ones, but after looking at the catalogs of the third party swcs I couldn't find a reference to TreeItemRenderer.
Any Ideas? I sort of dislike the idea of being able to run into such strange problems. Is there a tool that allows me to check for class compatibility issues?

  • Error when running package to load data from InfoProvider

I encounter the following error when using the standard package to load data from a InfoProvider to BPC. I tried loading the data from both DSO and InfoCube, but I get the same error.
The log message where the error occurs is as follows:
    Task name CLEAR CUBE DATA:
Could not perform write (INHERITED ERROR)
The "convert" step of the process chain completed successfully. This error is happening when the "clear cube according data" step of the process chain gets executed.
Any ideas on why this is happening?
    Thanks.

    Hi Laeral:
You should be able to just open one VISA session then write and read both commands then close the session at the end. This sounds to me like an error that comes from trying to open two VISA sessions to the instrument at the same time. I have attached some very basic LabVIEW VISA code that writes and reads two different commands. Hopefully it will get you started.
