Replacement for document viewer region

Hello,
i used document viewer region to display PDF document in oaf page. It works fine but I don't want to see the drop down to select the format type and export button. Is there any way to embed PDF in oaf without using document viewer region? what is the logic behind it?

Security assignment for Document viewer TF .

Hi All,
I am uploading the document in my content repository using upload method of document viewer .
for this i have created a jspx page with document viewer TF .
There is a constrain that only soa_admin user can get the permission to upload the document .
Can anybody guide me how can i assign this role to my TF without using adf security .

What is the replacement for design view in in flex builder 4.7 for cs extension builder?

Because design view is not available in flash builder than what is the use of extension builder in UI designing now we have to do design UI with xml which is very time consuming and boring if there is any replacemnt for it than please help me .1 more thing i want to know is that when i make new default project in extension builder(flash builder 4.6) than it also not able to load design mode errror is
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.6\eclipse\plugins\com.adobe.cside.libsinstaller_2.0.0.4-33034\archive\cslibs\2.0\4.5\re lease\apedelta.swc- not respondingSWC file failed to load. Any component dependent on this SWC file will not be displayed in the Design Mode.The SWC may have failed to load because of:
* Incompatible definitions caused by usage of a different SDK version
* Missing referred class definitions

I have researched this quite considerably and my understanding is that Adobe have no intention of supporting Design View any more for Extension Builder. In my opinion a very disappointing decision and one that is hard to comprehend.
The best workaround I can find is to create the majority of your design in a parallel, non Extension Builder, project and then convert/import your design into your Extension. This is by no means as satisfactory as having Design View for the Extension you are writing but it is better than simply creating your layout by guess work/trial and error.
Although this has not been announced by Adobe, I have a suspicion that the reason they have decided not to put any further resources into fixing Design View is that Extension Builder as we know it is going to be abandoned soon, probably replaced with an HTML5/JavaScript method of building extensions. My concern with this is that, other than wanting reassurances that there will be backward compatibility support for old extensions, There will not be a way of compiling an extension in a way that prevents people from seeing your code.
This is all speculation and I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. Hope this has helped.

Best color settings for document view?

Which is best color settings for different document formats with the same color profile?
There are Tiff and Pdf documents with same color profile but look different.

Bridge is file browser with custom preview options, but it's not a pre-press examination application. Just don't use it for that purpose.
P.S. First one is the best as far as I see. I don't like ruined «A» in second example. If you want to get more ballance, you can shift the left side also a bit.

Any replacements for Document Palette?

Document Palette was a great little app that allowed you to created new documents in your current location. You created the list of "templates" available, and, when you hit ⌃+⌥+⌘+N (CTL+Option+Command+N, experimenting to see if the characters work properly), a popup came up that listed your templates and you selected the one you wanted, either by mouse or keyboard. The template would then be copied to your current location. The templates could literally be anything, folders, text files, Numbers worksheets, etc.
Has anyone seen anything similar on the App Store, or anywhere else?
Document Palette is about 10 years old now and hasn't received an update in 4. I'm guessing there'll be a time when it stops working on and os upgrade.

You can also do this with Quicksilver.
Create a new folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/ called “Templates.” Save new file templates in this folder, an empty text file, an empty Word document, an Excel spreadsheet, whatever you need. These documents don't have to be blank; for example, an HTML document template could contain the skeleton tags in it.
To create new files invoke QS, choose a directory for your new file, and use the “Make New..” Action. From there the object (shown in the third pane) will drop down the list of configured template choices.

Document Viewer

All,
I am interested in the functionality of the Document Viewer region described in the user manual.
What we are looking to do is display the PDF output from a page in the Document Viewer region in OAF.
The question is, is there functionality to allow you to call the documentProcessor APIs from a button in OAF, passing the xml and template name, produce the PDF output using BI Publisher and display the result in the OAF screen.
Sounds similar to the functionality that the previewer uses in XML Publisher Administrator responsibility!!

It will only open attachments if the file is in one of the supported format by the phone. As such, documents can't be viewed. Only pictures, music and other format which the phone supports.

Issue with the Document Viewer for Some Users

Hi, I have archivelink setup in our system. Users are able to view the documents using this link. But issue is that one user is unable to view the documents while others can view the documents. The roles for both users are same.
Searched the forums but found nothing. Acrobat Reader version is 9.

Document Viewer for Nokia 5530 XPressMusic

Hi everyone!
I bought myself the nokia 5530 last week, and today I tried to open a pdf file, and the phone couldn't open it. I thought it had a document viewer and I checked it again on the Nokia site for it's specifications. There it was under specs "document viewer". Now my question is: How do I install it. Because I checked everywhere and I can't find that app on my phone. It also is not included on the CD which came with the package.
I bought myself the 5530 because it had a document viewer. I like to have my slides with me of the class I'm attending, I hated to bring my laptop to class everyday for just the slides which is why I bought this phone.

The specifications for 5233 cleaerly state that Documents such as Word, Excel & powerpoint can be viewed. However after purchasing the handset it was not available. On contacting Nokia I was first told to download the same from www.quickoffice.com. When it dd not work, I was told that the model did not support the document viewer, then I was told to update the mobiles softwarre. After all this when it did not work, i was told to go to www.adobe.com.
Later I was told that it was available in a few handsets as a promotional item and now is no longer available. Nokia is out to cheat people by giving wrong information on their website.

Document Types for Entry View in General Ledger

Is it possible to configure document types to post in a non-leading ledger with a number range that is the same as what is already configured for document types in entry view? This would mean it is possible to post in FB50L in a non-leading ledger and generate a document number that would then mean that the leading ledger is now out of synch with the non-leading ledger in terms of document numbering. Or would SAP automatically force configuration to use a number range that is not already being used by the document type in entry view?

You cant use the same number range which is being used in your leading ledger, system wont allow you. You need to create a new number range for the document type in General Ledger view.

In this activity, you define your document types. Document types are used to differentiate the business transactions and to manage how document are stored.
Document Types for General Ledger View
You define for non-leading ledgers the document types for the documents in the General Ledger view. At the same time, you assign for each document type a number range to be applied in the     assignment of document numbers:
    o   You do not need to make these settings for your leading ledger
        because, in the case of this ledger, the document number in the
        entry view always corresponds to the document number in the general
        ledger view.
    o   You only have to make these settings for any non-leading ledgers
        that have a fiscal year variant that differs in at least one company
        code from the fiscal year variant of the leading ledger in this
        company code. In this case, the document number in the entry view
        does not correspond to the document number in the general ledger
        view and you have to define a separate document type with document
        number assignment for the general ledger view.
        For all non-leading ledgers that, in the company code to which the
        postings are made, have a fiscal year variant corresponding to the
        fiscal year variant of the leading ledger in this company code, the
        document number in the entry view always corresponds to the document
        number in the general ledger view.
        Note
        The need to define a document type for documents in the general
        ledger view depends only on whether the fiscal year variant of the
        non-leading ledger in the company code (to which the postings are
        made) differs from the fiscal year variant of the leading ledger in
        this company code.

Enable Merge Documents and Relink documents views for a document library

Hi All,
I would like to have Merge Documents and Relink documents views for a document library (not a form library). I was able to see Combine.aspx and Repair.aspx in the document library open with explorer -> Forms folder. How do I enable these two views?

These two views is actually hidden in SharePoint library, you can enable it by set hidden property to false.
download SharePoint manager, then find the site, root to the specified library, click views, find the Merge documents view, you will see that the Hidden propery is by default set to true.

Replacement for iMovie HD - or much simpler iMovie 11 interface
I have just upgraded from a tape DV to a HDD HD camcorder.
This has meant leaving behind my cherished i-Movie HD programme and using i-Movie11 (also moved to lion). I just want to do simple cuts and pastes on HD content(720p), add a start and end title, and then add some chapter markers - exportto i-DVD. Nothing more complex, no sound imports, green screen, camera shake,fades etc... I have "heard it said" that you can make i-Movie 11 looklike the old i-Movie HD set-up? That is a simple linear edit bar with a largeview screen.
My question is how do you do this? I have tried to use i-Movie 11 and it isso confusing!
If not is there a programme out there will do similar to i-Movie HD? (Lookedat FCX, FC Express, Premier, etc and they are all way to complex for my simpleneeds.)
At the moment the best I have found is the old Quicktime 7 pro, which cutsstuff out but not much of the rest.

Yes, you can activate a preference that shows the timeline as a single horizontal row, rather than the normal presentation which shows the timeline scrolling down the page (much like a word processing document). Click on the button containing 3 white squares - it's directly to the left of the comment and chapter marker buttons on the far right of the project window. See this pic:
You can adjust the size of the Viewer - go to the menu item Window>Viewer and select from Small, Medium and Large. You can also adjust the size of the Viewer by dragging down on an empty space on the centre tool bar.
