please let me know the following Requirement in a WAD View
I want to filter a Master data entry ( Characteristic)

I had a column shown above., i need to show a particular entry example RAO by using ZERO ( 0)., please let meknow how to do it in WAD level of BEx Query level.,

I am not sure if you can have icons outside the query that can be controlled by the query values. You could do one thing ...
1. have a query with an extra Key figure.
2. Have your validation formulae on this key figure and have an exception on the same
3. Now your exception column would have three colors.
4. Now execute the report in IE and go to view source.
5. Look for the stylesheet classes for the exceptions , they would be something like SAPBexGood1... etc
6. Go to the table interface ( I assume that you would have figured out how to inherit the class and modify the same from the how to paper...)
7. Go to c_cell_data
8. if cell_style="SAPBeXGood1" then replace c_cell_content with <img src="/sap/bw/mime/icons/icon1.gif" /img>
9. Go to the css and find out your stylesheet class.
10. Remove the background color attribute from the required style.
for checking through JavaScript.
1. The query should have a separate stylesheet class attached to it.
2. It should have one cell only
3. You can replace the value by using style.innerHTML=whatever you want.

IP : Delete a value in e cell without entering zero
We have an input ready planning layout created with WAD. In WEB user deletes a value in a cell without entering zero instead. When we refresh data former value appears again. When the user enters zero to the cell we have no problem. When we execute the query with BEX and delete the value in cell without entering zero, there is no problem also. Is there a parameter in WAD to check this?

If you create a "Delete" function and provide the same on layout it will delete the same from the cube. However, the user need to enter the line # which he/she wants to delete from the layout. Ofcourse, entering zero in the input for Key Figure will help delete the values from cube but if it has any corresponding calculations (say salary or revenue)....it will not get nullified. It is always good idea to provide a standard delete function on the layout.

There is no way to delete those records selectively from front end.
The best possible way is to delete the records from MRP_FORECAST_DATES tables from backend.

My left arrow does not work on my macbook pro(model A1226).
I have reset nvram, performed a safe boot, pulled the cache to desktop, replaced .globalpreference.plist, & tested all other keys with "keyboard viewer" (all other keys work except for the arrow).
In addition, I have gone thru all the recommended checks with universal access and have booted from snow leopard dvd and the left arrow still does not work.
I have tried using the left arrow key in all of applications I use such as: excel, ms word, address book, calendar, iphoto, terminal, & highlighting an icon and using the arrows to move to another selected icon.
Here is the kicker! In addition, I purchased a logitech solar bluetooth keyboard and the arrows work fine with my ipad but do not work when paired with the macbook pro. All other keys work fine on the macbook pro using the bluetooth keyboard.
I believe this says that the problem is not in my macbook pro keyboard. So where can it be?
Can anyone think of any other rabbit holes I can search?

How can I reduce the selection for the characteristics value in a BW query

I need to find out how I can reduce the selection for the characteristics values in a BW query.
In a BW query I have a characteristic "Due month".
The characteristic values shown in the query are from 01.2001->03.2007. I would like to reduce it to the last 2 years,in the query view, without deleting the data for the other years in the cube.
Do you know how this can be done?

First thing you have to do is check the report how the data is being restricted only to those months.
1) one it can be variable in which the code is written for that to populate for last few years.
or else it must have been hardcoded for these months.
Go into your report and underneath the characteristicsCALMONTH there must be an variable or hardcoding.
You need to change this here in the report.
You dont have to delete anything there.

Duplicate calendar entries... only in list view
I have just observed a new phenomenon on my iphone which seems distinct from the duplicate entry problem often described. I seem to have numerous (but not all) entries in my calendar duplicated only on iphone and ONLY in LIST view. Single entries only are seen in DAY view on the iphone, iCal, mobileMe and a google calendar I sync to by busysync. I have been running smoothly for months and I assume the problem has come about because I turned off Push in the settings when abroad recently. If I edit just one of the duplicate entries in list view - by just clicking to the time edit pane, but not necessarily changing anything, the duplicate disappears! If I edit such an entry on iCal or Mobile me, when the sync goes through to the iphone, the duplicate also disappears. I think I can clear this one by forcing the iphone to restore from a backup or something similar, but I am intrigued about this behaviour which suggests a software bug.
I have not understood why this problem was occurring, but I have found a solution which is to force the calendar entries to be reset from Mobile Me. I did this:
1 Did a backup in iTunes in case it went horribly wrong.
2 Went into iphone>settings>Mail Contacts Calendars > (Mobile Me Account) > Switched off calendars - told it to delete entries on iphone.
3 Turned off iphone
4 Waited a bit
5 Turned iphone on
6 Repeated 2 and switched on calendars.
7 Waited a bit for Mobile Me to sync
All calendars restored nicely..
Why this problem occurred in the first place is a mystery. Unlike other punters, I didn't have itunes syncing my calendars to iphone, only Mobile Me........... It has the strong smell of a bug as this problem emerged after many months of trouble free syncing only when I updated to iphone 3. -

We have Sun 1280 servers running in our lab. We observe that sometime arp entries for some interfaces become zero suddenly.
Here is the warning we observe in /var/adm/messages :-

the default ARP timeout on the MSFC is 14400 seconds, or 4 hours. The CAM (MAC address table) default timeout is 300 seconds.
You actually might want to set the CAM agingtime to 4 hours as well, in order to avoid possible IP unicast traffic flooding...

How to replace table cell elements position
Hello Experts,
I have a requirement where i have to replace the table cell elements at runtime.
lets say for example i have a node structure like this:
Root Node
table Node data
cell 1 (Name)
cell 2 (Description)
Now once the table rendered on Adobe form let say it has 2 rows
1st row : Test name1 | Test description1
2nd row: Test name2 | Test description2
now for display i have to show on form like this:
1st row : Test name1 | Test name2
2nd row: Test description1 | Test description2
Constraint is i cant change table node structure ,Now i was thinking if i could replace row 2 cell 1 ui element with row 1 cell 2 ui element at runtime in table without changing the mapped values.
Please let me know how i can achieve this or if is there any alternative way to do this.

You can achieve you requirement by creating table using subforms instead of using normal Table UI element.
Create the Table structure this way.
Table(Subform)
Row(Subform)
Name (TextField)
Description(TextField)
Put the name and description field in single column. Bind the table subform with node Data and set the property like this :
Content : Flowed
Flow Direction : Western Text
also check the "Repeat the subform for Each Data item" property.
Set the property of the Subform Row like this:
Content : Flowed
Flow Direction : top To bottom
Bind the Name & Description text field with the proper context.

Hi ABAP gurus,
I am working on alv report and i came across situation where we don't want to display zeros in
some of the Cell based on some condition.
i don't want to do it on column level otherwise i can use no_zero. i like to do it on cell base.
Any help would be appericated ..

declare the field as string.
pass value to it only when u need (as per ur conditions). else leave it blank.. that can avoid ur zeros..

If less than replace with no value or zero
I'm trying to use the diadem calculator to create the equivalent of a 'if less than 4.0 replace with no value or 0' for the complete cell count of a named channel . Either create a new channel for the result or replace the old values

Twigeater is absolutely right, as always, and he's pointed you to the most recent and syntax-friendly option available in DIAdem 11.0 and later.
If you are using an older version of DIAdem, or if you're manipulating very large channels, I'd recommend using the old "FormulaCalc()" function, which is faster for numeric channels and has a boolean construction that automatically resolves to 0 or 1, corresponding nicely to what you want. Here's the code:

Hi experts,
I am building a report to display count of orders split by channel per day per hour.
For some days one or few channels might not have any orders placed against them in which case my report shows blank values in the report.
I would ideally like to have Zero in those columns rather than an empty cell.

Hi, just reading the manuals for applescript but need some help. We have just changed from xl in windows to numbers and osx. One of the spreadsheets our admin used had a row where every time she added a new numerical value the cell above it would stamp the date of the entry. I have read through some old posts and it seems to be suggested that the only way is to "copy and paste" from, i guess, a cell containing the current date using applescript. Could someone give me a helpful nudge? I have only started looking at applescript today so its all a bit new.Either a point towards the appropriate tutorial or an example script would be great.

Multiply cell entry by 1.15 /within/ the cell?
would anyone mind just helping me figure out how i put a value in a cell and have it show up with an additional 15% markup? i am searching percent and i am getting help docs explaining how to enter percentages.
i /tried/ clicking on Numeric > PRODUCT and i get an entry that says "=PRODUCT(num-value, num-value) and i then tried changing the second num-value to "1.1.5" [i.e. "=PRODUCT(num-value,1.15"] but i get a red arrow stating "you must specify a number value for all arguments" and i am guessing that it wants to see a value in the first num-value.
is there a way to set this up so i can ENTER a number in the cell and have numbers bump it up 15%? i don't want to have a separate column for the 15% markup and it seems like there should be a way to have numbers do this in the cell. this way if i want to see the original number that was entered i can just click in the cell but the number that is visible is the value with the markup.
is there a better search term i should use in the help menu for this or maybe it is a different function?

Numbers has never supported the operation you want. A cell can contain either:
1) a formula OR
2) a value (or text)
You may make a feature suggestion to Apple using the menu item "Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback".
if you want to inflate a cell by 15% then you can create a new column and enter the formula as needed.
e.g.:
Column B contains values I want to inflate by 15%. Column C has the formulas to perform this operation:
C1=B1×1.15
select C1, copy, select the column header ("C"), paste
If you want you can hide column C even while referencing it OR, you cam select column C, then copy, then just paste the values back over column using the menu item "Edit > Paste Formula Results" -
Format cells entry into minutes and seconds
I would like to set up a column of cells that would automatically convert a numerical value to a time format in minutes and seconds. For example, if the user inputs '30', the cell would display ':30'. If the input is '230', the cell would display as '2:30'. How would I do this?

You may use Custom Format to do this. Set the default Integers placeholder to 2 places and to Hide Separator, then type a Colon, then copy the integers placeholder on the left and paste it on the right.
Now you have ##:##. As you make entries to cells with that format they will be displayed looking like Time per your requirement. For instance 230 will become 2:30. Bear in mind that these won't actually be Time/Date or even Duration values, they will just look that way.
Then if you wish to do calculations on those inputs you will need to first convert them to Duration with an expression that turns the input into minutes and seconds.
