Report change

I am needing an output for print of my users and the roles assigned to those users.
I have seen the report in sqldeveloper but don't know what to do to add roles to the existing report. Any help would be appreciated.

Format of the analytic reports changed in OBIEE11g after restart.

Hi all,
After restarting the BI server, the format of the reports changed.
The analytic reports header font sizes has been increased and the report is not showing in tabular view instead it is showing results as in a notepad.
What might be the issue which caused these changes?

as such we cant say it is an error from BI.....not sure what might be going wrong or is the tool acting upon.
Once bounce all services and look at it.

No need of changing any config files as such for that behaviour.....might be something wrong going with the BI tool.
Never i faced such issue as i was working on BI 11g

Some features of BI 7 are
1. In Infosets now you can include Infocubes as well.
2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
3. The BI accelerator (for now only for infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
4. The monitoring has been imprvoed with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal !
5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
6. Transformations are in and routines are passe! Yess, you can always revert to the old transactions too.

The object F_IT_ALV has a field, the activity ACTVT, which can
contain four permitted values: 01, 02, 03 and 70.
Activity 03 corresponds to the minimum authorization, which is the
most restricted one: You can only select layouts which have
been configured already. In particular, all of the other functions
named above are inactive with activity 03.
I guess that your user-id have set activity 03 for this object.
The SAP notes 374656 and 409190 are recommended.
So, if the values 01 and 02 are not included, then
the user can't change and save layouts.
For the line item display in FI the authorization
object FI_IT_ALV has been created as an extra security check in addi-
tion to the ALV authorization object S_ALV_LAYO.
Please check note 374656 where you should be able to find
relevant info about this. Also note 637554 should be helpful.

ALV Report Changed Layout Cannot be saved .

IN an ALV report if i changed the layout with selected fields .i cannot save it
the save button on standard toll bar is disiabled
as well as menu items to save the laout ...
i can only chane the layout..
..please guide me in how to allow the end user to save the layout .....

Upgrade to Reports 9i, You can use BCC, CC, FROM, REPLYTO, SUBJECT and DESNAME with Reports command line
Note that DESNAME is used to specify the main recipient(s) of the e-mail.

Report changes for Multiple sets of books

Hi,
I am new to the financials suite. What changes would be needed in reports to make them global and run across multiple sets of books and currencies.
I was thinking of eliminating any _all tables. I am not sure on what SOB related parameter changes would be needed.

Are the existing reports Standard or Custom Reports?
If they are Standard then they should work for any SOB.
If they are Custom Reports then I suggest you to run them in the development instance and see if you are getting any errors.

How to track log for FR reports changes done in Workspace

Hello,
How can i track if a particular FR report or a folder is being updated or deleted from workspace or FR STUDIO ?
Is there any log file which can give me the details of the username who accessed which report or who made any changes to any particular report ?
I have checked the log files under Hyperion_home/logs/BI Plus and logs under BI Plus/logs filder but could not find anything fruitfull .

Withholding tax master data report changes in SAP FI

Hi All,
In our client according to new audit requirements improvements have to be done for the withholding tax report. According to the the requirements changes only functionality has to be added to the main selection screen of the withholding tax master data report.
Changes only functionality has to be added to the selection screen of the report, the report has to display changes made to the tax master data with in a range of period, this was achieved easily by making program changes. Only issue now is when we do it in development client its showing us properly but when we do it in production it is not working because when ever we do any configuration changes we do it in the development client and transport it to production client so the changes done to any configuration with respect to WHT are not recorded in the production environment as they are transported from development client.
So, we are unable to achieve this in production client, please help me out with this issue.

Oracle Reports - Change Email Attachment Name

I'm sending salary receipts in PDF via email using Report Server 10g. It's working but i want to change the PDF name, in order to appear the number of employee in the name (something like Receipt_00001.PDF)
I used to accomplished that in other versions using the DESNAME parameter, but now since its Web and via Reports Server that doesnt work :(

Crystal Reports - Change Line Chart Color Dynamically

Hello,
I have Crystal report 14.
I'm trying to create a line chart and need to be able to set the colors of the lines at the time the report is run. The colors the lines need to be are specified in a database and a different color could be specified each time the report is run.
Can anybody suggest how I would do this?

I've tried to use 'Color Highlight' to change the color of the lines, but it only changed the colors of the markers on the line, not the actual line itself. Is there a way to get it to change the color of the line?
I may have one line I need to display as 1 color, and a 2nd that I need to display as another. Using color highlight changed the markers for both lines to the same color. Is there a way to specify which line I want to change the color of in "Color Highlight"?

SCEP date range reports change over time

Not really sure how to title this, but here is the scenario. I have altered a canned report to run the first Monday of every month and dump a Word file w/links into a folder. The alteration of this report is simply changing the end date to be -30 from today.
So I am getting a 30 day report of all computers that were infected. The report runs and looks to be accurate based on alerting I have setup. The problem comes when I take this report and start to drill down into the data using the links in the report. Let's
say my report shows a virus name with an infection count of 3. I can click on 3 and see a list of PCs that were infected....well not so much. If between the time the PC was infected and the time I look at the report, any of the 3 PCs were cleaned of the infection,
then they will not show up in the drilldown. So if a single PC was cleaned...the count still shows 3, but clicking on 3 only shows 2 computers now. This pretty much goes for any data on the main page.
So essentially the report is pretty useless to go back in time and see detailed info on the incidents since the status of every bit of info in that report has changed over time. I am not a SQL person, but I did have one of SQL team look at the database and
she can't see anywhere that she can pull archived data from. Any idea what direction I can point her in to get the type of reports I am looking for?

How to change the title in narrative report(title displayed in ie),it took the saved name of the report. but i want to customize that title instead of using saved name.Can i use html title tag in my narrative area.Is that possible?

i didin't meant the report's title..i mean the title appear in internet explorer title bar.i want to customize ie title bar which display one unique id field value for that particular report, so that the user can download and save it with a unique name.
(in html we use <title> tag for ie title) similar way can we use <title> tag in narrative text area for the report..Is that possible?

Potential IRS reporting change if Social Security rate is not extended

Hello - We received notice from ADP that due to the Federal Social Security rate changes this year that if the current 4.2% rate is not extended that they feel the IRS will require separate reporting capabilities for the different tax rates applied throughout the 2012 tax year. We are curious if SAP is addressing this issue systematically so that we will be able to comply with any changes to capturing and reporting 2012 taxes to the IRS.
Below is an excerpt from the notice received from ADP. Thank you for any information you can provide on this matter...
If the 4.2% Employee Social Security tax rate is not extended before we begin processing March 1 payrolls, ADP anticipates the likelihood that the IRS will require separate reporting to reflect the different rates for Social Security wages, taxes, Tips, Uncollected Social Security tax on Tips and Group-Term Life (GTL), and non-taxable Third Party Sick Pay for each rate.
In order to comply with the potential of separate reporting mandates, the existing fields will be used for reporting all wages and taxes applicable to the 4.20% rate. ADP will create new field codes to capture and display all wages and taxes applicable to the 6.20% rate. These changes would require your company to store the Social Security wages, taxes, Tips, Uncollected Social Security tax on Tips and Group-Term Life (GTL), and non-taxable Third Party Sick Pay in a separate code within your payroll system.

While BSI and SAP will be on top of getting the correct rate out as soon as possible I do understand what ADP is refering to. I also have a client that received that simialar notice.
At this time nothing has been release from SAP on how they will attempt to handle this if indeed the IRS makes this a mandatotry rule for tax reporting in 2012. ADP is just making the comment for now that it could happen but there is nothing in place that notes this as a mandate. If the IRS determines this is to happen it will required a W-2 Form change and those are always delivered in the YE notes from SAP beginning in October each year. My clients use processing class 30 in their wage types with a code of "T" so that they can set up accumulators. Since the tax of 4.2 is in place from Jan to March I feel that the Monthy and Quarterly accumulators will house the information needed to accomodate such a requirement.
How SAP will dictate this gets into the W-2 will have to wait until the IRS publishes an official guideline on the reporting.
