Report for equipment characteristics
Can we be able to display the specific characteristics of equipments in IH08 report?
In IH08,there is a field to display class,but not characteristics.
Hi,
Add in the selection screen of IH08 the class type and class. Clcik in execute
Click on the display screen - menu settings -> show hide classification
It will give you all characteristics form the class selected in the selection screen

I am having a LSMW program for Equipment Classification (Characteristics Value)Data upgrade created in ECC 5.0 . We have upgraded to ECC 6.0 EHP 4 Now. You had mentioned that you were using LSMW so i had given probable problem for LSMW. But now as you are saying its BDC i would request you to check back with your abap team. In code they might have written that whn a new value is entered, refer the old value and update it.
This can be the only problem just check back with them and your problem will be solved. -
Report for equipment with characteristics and value
Dear friends,
I need to develop a report which contains fields from the equipment master like superior equipment, functional location, asset etc. as well as charcteristics and values maintained in the equipment. (Multi level equipment display) is not acceptable to client. I understand that table AUSP can be utilised for getting the characteristic value, but I am unable to find any fields from equipment master which I can use to pass on to the AUSP table. Kindly let me know if there is any other table which I can use or any other approach I can take.

My client has requirement for the report with fields like to see the status of Equipment BOM(input of Equipment number in selection screen) or for Particular set of Materials(input of component number in selection screen) available stock quantity,storage location of stock,description of component,price of component,Pending PR of component(if any),Pending PO of component(if any) etc
I want to develop the report with standard infoset query instead of going for abap development.is there any logical database to map the report or what tables can i use for table joins??

The following is the tested solution.
Table join
Output
This figure shows the case of a Equipment BOM where 3 components are there. Installed Quantity are 4, 1, 1 respectively. Last two columns are showing the Storage Locations and the Stocks available.
Fields taken to output are
From STPO : IDNRK MENGE MEINS
From MARD LGORT LABST
As said before, more than this you can not do in SQVI. With this basic join in SQ02, using codes in Extras you can do much more.

Report for equipment hierarchy using IH03
In IH03 what is the significance of the fields display as graphic and Bom Application and Bom group?

BOM Application is used to display BOMs of specific application area in the equipment hierarchy report .If you choose "INST" as BOM application then only plant maintenance BOMs will be display in the equipment hierarchy,
BOMs can be defined for different application areas like plant maintenance ,production,costing etc

Report for equipment list with asset number
Hi
I want report where i can get equipment number with asset number. I hecked information system. But id din't gotFollow these steps in the IH08 ALV screen (Output)
- Press Ctrl+F8
- In the pop-up, select Asset field from the Right hand side menu (Column Set) and bring it to Left hand side menu (Displyed Columns) by clicking on the arrow towards left.
- Arrange the position of the field Asset next to the Equipment field (as you desire) by upward/downward arrows.
- Press Enter
Now your Asset column is seen at the place you have arranged.

The report details can be seen in standard SAP. If you see in the menu option after executing IW38 or IW39 etc you have option of selecting multiple level reports, and goods movement reports etc.
As you were asking relavent to equipment then you have to filter the output report and then just go to multi level reports.
The details you were asking will not be available in single screen except in multi level reports. Here also you have choice to create variant.

EQUZ-GEWRK has the main work center. Pass the equipment number and valid-to date to get the main work center.

Adding a characteristics to AR Drill down report for line items
I have raised an OSS note on this, but they deem this to be consulting.
I have an AR drill down report for line items
It calls the structure RFRRD20.
I need to add a value into the characteristics so I can use it in the drill down report.
I have appended the structure, added a value in TKAF for the field, and it still does not show.
Has anybody done something similar?
I am sure this is easy, but only when you know how, so if you know how to do it please can you let me know.

I am also in the same situation where i need to add two characteristics (invoice date, due date) to the AR drill down reports. I added them to the structure and TKAF table as you did, but still could not get them to the drill down reports (FDI5 or FI1).
From your posts, i see that SAP's response was that it is not possible to add characteristics to AR drilldown reports? Did they mention any reasons or OSS notes? How did you handle your requirement, were you able to work around?

Agewise Outstanding Report for Vendors report
Hi All,
In SAP, Agewise Outstanding Report for Vendors report coming with Vendor Master Details along with Address details in the report S_ALR_87012085 - Vendor Payment History with OI Sorted List which is not really required. Hence we need to remove all un necessary details. We need only a signle line report for each vendor like below.
Vendor Code Vendor Name Due - 30 days Due - 60 days Due 90 Days Due 120 days and more than above
The selection of period option is already available in std SAP. We have to change the output report only. This is rquired for Audit purpose.
Please help me in the above issue.

The following example I have given is for customers.
The only difference is in transaction codes. For customer you go to FDI1, for vendor you go to FKI1 (reports).
For Customer you go to FDI4, for vendor you go to FKI4 for forms.
Remaining all are the same.
Hello,
Go to transaction code FDI4
Select Form Type RFFRRD20 Line item analysis
Give your form name and description
Structure (Two axis) - as defaulted
Click on Create
You will have lead column
Delete the rows 2, 3 and 4
Double click on column 1
Enter the customer numbers from 1 to 999999
First column double click (A)
Slelect following values
Due date analysis 1
Days for net due date 0 to 30
Give the short name, medium name and long text for the column.
Repeat this step in next columns like 31 to 60, 61 to 90, 91 to 120 and 121 to 99999 days etc in other columns and select due date analysis 1. (B,C,D,E)
Create one more column by way of formula. To create a new column you need to double click on blue line. Put formula add all five columns you have created above. (F = ABCDE)
You prepare one more column with
Due date analysis 2 (G)
Now you prepare one more column add (F+G) = This will be total open items = over due and not due.
Now go to FDI1 and prepare a report - assign the form created in FDI4 to the report.
Characteristics you need to select are
Account Type (Select Account Type as D for customers)
Currency
Customer
Document Type
Special G/L Ind
Company Code
Change the output types and options according to your requirement.
Refer FDI2 and FDI3 for other standard reports created.
Refer FDI5 and FDI6 for other standard forms created.
Save your report and execute.

Please may I get some guidance, I have a course work project as I am studying BW and I need to produce a report for a SD case. The report needs to show the following:
Characteristics
Sales Organization
Delivery Date (From/To)
Shipping Point
Sales District
Vehicle Route
Vendor/haulier
Key Figures
Delivered Qty (Volume)
Delivered Qty (Weight)
Delivered Qty (SKU)
Shipment Cost Value
I am taking the following steps to find the above:
1. In R/3 > SD look at datasources to find the fields required.
2. Once datasources have been identified to transfer to BW and activate the business content
3. Identify the cubes used by the datasource (AWB>Infosource and look at dataflow for the datasources I found containing required fields).
For any GAP analysis identified I will provide field, table and user exit for ABAP programmer.
Are these the correct steps? Have I missed anything? Also could someone please provide a template document I can use to write up the requirements as a blue print?

T16FS - to get release group, release strategy, and releases codes.
AUSP / KLART=032 - to get Cost Center or others characteristics.
More detailed information get from tables T16F... C/D/E/G/H/K/L/M/T/V and KSSK.
