Report from essbase

Can any one give any idea for the below

Question :
I need a Report(on any reporting tool) like , If i select M1 and any cycle no (E.G: -3 , it has to show 3 Records only , E.G:- 4 ,it has to show 4 Records only)
This result is for cycle no : 3
M1     Prod1     Cust1     Unit     10
M2     Prod1     Cust1     Unit     20
M3     Prod1     Cust1     Unit     30

Although your example members make it look like there is a relationship between cycle number and Time, I suspect that is just coincidence. If it truly is the relationship, just report from period 1 to whatever the last period is. Financial Reports makes the easy with its Relative Member function.
However, I suspect it isn't that easy else you wouldn't be asking. What you want is really a relational solution, so the Essbase answers are going to be screwy.
1) Custom reporting w/ code. in my ascending order of preference: SmartViw. classic add-in. and Dodeca. All three would retrieve all the rows and then truncate based on input value. This will be painful in all save Dodeca.
2) Create n attribute dims to match the number of cycles and then assign them to whatever dim drives cycles if indeed one dim does that. If multiple dims define a cycle, you're back to #1.
3) Pull the data into SQL and do this report there.
