Report is showing dupilcate records in Excel and correct records in PDF.

Hi,
I have a problem, when i run the query of report in toad then count is 24 and same records are coming in PDF, RTF and HTML format but some duplicate records come when same report is run in excel or delimited format.

This is bcoz you don't have all the common fields in your infocubes.
Job is the only filed common in the infocube.
Some Characteristics like project is only available in one Cube, similarly and qualification field is only available in other Cube.
If a Multiprovider is created on top of these two infocubes. Common chars are identified from both cubes; others can be identified only from the respective cubes.
When we build a query on this Multiprovider, keeping a char which is not part of both cubes will create an other line with # or NA values present in that column.
In the query designer create a new selection on the KF.
Inside that, maintain description and drag the keyfigure from left pane to selection pane, drag characteristic "jobu201D into the selection. In the context menu of job, choose u201Cconstant selectionu201D option.
repeat the same for all the KFs.

    select m.accid,m.title,d.dr,d.cr
    from master m, detail d
    where m.accid=d.accid (+)The outer join operator (+) will get you all the details from master and any details from the detail if they exist, but the master details will still be got even if there are not details.
    Note: Oracle 10g now supports ANSI standard outer joins as in:
    select m.accid,m.title,d.dr,d.cr
    from master m LEFT OUTER JOIN detail d on m.accid=d.accid

    Nothing free no.
    At best there is a subscription you can purchase for a relatively low monthly price ($7.50 per month) that can be accessed through Adobe Reader (which is free).

    The order of extracted records can no be assumed to be constant, any SQL optimizer can change behavior, even without any wide upgrade, but a single database or kernel patch as well as many operation of database administrator can change the order, as well as a change of user behavior, if they fill now another field in selection. So it is good practices to always sort (or use sorted type) internal table extracted or use a ORDER BY clause (provided there is an index in database, else do not)
    Read online documentation of SELECT statement clause ORDER BY
    The order of the rows in the result set refers to all columns that are not listed after ORDER BY, is undefined, and can be different in repeated executions of the same SELECT statement.
    There are also some [MANY > 1000] OSS notes on the subject (look for your database, e.g.  1858427 - Incorrect Sorting of SQL-Select Statement, 1859655 - The result set of an SQL-Select Statement may not be sorted, 1858479 - Result set of select statement is not sorted, 1858569 - Incorrect access to result set of SELECT statement, etc.)
    Also if you sort an internal table and require records with same key values to keep their respective order, use the STABLE clause.

    USR.ResourceID != CS.ResourceID, you need to map the username to the user logon to the PC. By using the user’s department information you will

    you can try table VBFA, where you can see sales documents and their subsequent documents.

    Hi Experts,
    I need to write a report which should display who are using SAP and to what extent to forcast future SAP license needs...
    and to ensure the compliance by allocating license types correctly.
    My report should helpfull to organization to reduce the current license requirements and costs.
    Actually my problem is where can i get all these details in SAP, means from which tables.
    in which table can we get the sap user ids using mail id...
    Thanks in advance........

    Hi gajeramesh ,
    Goto transaction 'SU10'
    Here you have all the data selection regarding a particular user id, so what you can do is do F1 on any of the fields and see the technical help in that for the table names.
    some of the tables are :
                                     1) 'USUSERS'(User: Transfer structure for lists of users),
                                     2) 'USER_ADDR' (Users by address data)
                                     3) 'USUSERALL' (Users with All Data for List Output)
    I hope this helps you  !!

  • Order of records - finding preceding and next records

    I have looked around a few forums for a similar question but I'm not really even sure what to search for!
    I have a table with some events, client names, timestamps for the event, and a category.  There are four steps in a cycle.
    CREATE TABLE #events (EventID INT IDENTITY(1, 1),
    Client VARCHAR(10),
    RecordTimestamp DATETIME,
    Step TINYINT)
    INSERT INTO #events (Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step)
    VALUES ('Client A', '01-01-2014', 1),
    ('Client A', '01-02-2014', 2),
    ('Client A', '01-03-2014', 3),
    ('Client A', '01-04-2014', 4),
    ('Client A', '01-05-2014', 1),
    ('Client A', '01-06-2014', 2),
    ('Client B', '01-04-2014', 1),
    ('Client B', '01-06-2014', 2)
    SELECT *
    FROM #events
    ORDER BY RecordTimestamp, Client
    So let's assume that step 2 cannot start for a given client until step 1 completes, category 3 can't start until 2 completes, etc.  If today is 1/7/2014 we could say that Client A has completed one full cycle (steps 1-4), Client A is
    half way through cycle 2, and Client B is half way through its first cycle.
    I'm trying to identify all cycles that are in progress, meaning a step 1, 2, or 3 is present without a step 4 record (by client).  A query on the data above would return step 2 of Client A and Client B, both on 1/6.  I no longer care about the
    first cycle from Client A because another cycle has started.
    The table columns can be changed if necessary.  Can someone at least push me in the right direction?  It may involve a CTE and/or cursor, but I'm just not sure where to start.
    Thanks!

    >  I provided the example above as a slightly simplified version of what I'm working on
    Not good, you should provide a something closer to what you are working on.
    I read from your original post that "There are four steps in a cycle." and I see that you enumerate them 1 - 4 and also read that "So let's assume that step 2 cannot start
    for a given client until step 1 completes, category 3 can't start until 2 completes, etc.", so based on those facts I decided to enumerate all steps for each customer (rn1) and used the formula (rn - 1) / 4 to identify blocks
    of steps (groups of consecutive steps):
    row                                   rn1  (rn1 - 1) / 4
    ('Client A', '01-01-2014', 1)  1    0
    ('Client A', '01-02-2014', 2)  2    0
    ('Client A', '01-03-2014', 3)  3    0
    ('Client A', '01-04-2014', 4)  4    0
    ('Client A', '01-05-2014', 1)  5    1
    ('Client A', '01-06-2014', 2)  6    1
    ('Client B', '01-04-2014', 1)  1    0
    ('Client B', '01-06-2014', 2)  2    0
    Then for each group we enumerate again (rn2) but this time in descending order (rn DESC) so the last step in each group will be the first row based on the new enumeration. Now we can select those rows where rn2 = 1 but only if the step number is not 4.
    If your data is different, for example steps numbers go from 10 to 40 in increments of 10 then you have to change the logic slightly:
    SET NOCOUNT ON;
    USE tempdb;
    GO
    CREATE TABLE #events (
    EventID INT IDENTITY(1, 1),
    Client VARCHAR(10),
    RecordTimestamp DATETIME,
    Step tinyint,
    UNIQUE CLUSTERED (Client, RecordTimestamp, Step)
    INSERT INTO #events (Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step)
    VALUES
    ('Client A', '01-01-2014', 10),
    ('Client A', '01-02-2014', 20),
    ('Client A', '01-03-2014', 30),
    ('Client A', '01-04-2014', 40),
    ('Client A', '01-05-2014', 10),
    ('Client A', '01-06-2014', 20),
    ('Client B', '01-04-2014', 10),
    ('Client B', '01-06-2014', 20);
    SELECT *
    FROM #events
    ORDER BY RecordTimestamp, Client
    GO
    WITH C1 AS (
    SELECT
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY Client ORDER BY RecordTimestamp, Step) AS rn1
    FROM
    #events
    C2 AS (
    SELECT
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY Client, (rn1 - 1) / 4 ORDER BY rn1 DESC) AS rn2
    FROM
    C1
    SELECT
    EventID,
    Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step
    FROM
    C2
    WHERE
    rn2 = 1 AND Step < 40;
    GO
    DROP TABLE #events;
    GO
    If you can have 8 steps and the maximum one is 80 then the logic should be:
    SET NOCOUNT ON;
    USE tempdb;
    GO
    CREATE TABLE #events (
    EventID INT IDENTITY(1, 1),
    Client VARCHAR(10),
    RecordTimestamp DATETIME,
    Step tinyint,
    UNIQUE CLUSTERED (Client, RecordTimestamp, Step)
    INSERT INTO #events (Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step)
    VALUES
    ('Client A', '01-01-2014', 10),
    ('Client A', '01-02-2014', 20),
    ('Client A', '01-03-2014', 30),
    ('Client A', '01-04-2014', 40),
    ('Client A', '01-05-2014', 50),
    ('Client A', '01-06-2014', 60),
    ('Client A', '01-07-2014', 70),
    ('Client A', '01-08-2014', 80),
    ('Client A', '01-09-2014', 10),
    ('Client A', '01-10-2014', 20),
    ('Client B', '01-04-2014', 10),
    ('Client B', '01-06-2014', 20);
    SELECT *
    FROM #events
    ORDER BY RecordTimestamp, Client
    GO
    WITH C1 AS (
    SELECT
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY Client ORDER BY RecordTimestamp, Step) AS rn1
    FROM
    #events
    C2 AS (
    SELECT
    ROW_NUMBER() OVER(PARTITION BY Client, (rn1 - 1) / 8 ORDER BY rn1 DESC) AS rn2
    FROM

    SELECT
    EventID,
    Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step
    FROM
    C2
    WHERE
    rn2 = 1 AND Step < 80;
    GO
    DROP TABLE #events;
    GO
    If you want to show the last non-completed group for each client and from there the first and last steps then try:
    SET NOCOUNT ON;
    USE tempdb;
    GO
    CREATE TABLE #events (
    EventID INT IDENTITY(1, 1),
    Client VARCHAR(10),
    RecordTimestamp DATETIME,
    Step tinyint
    INSERT INTO #events (Client,
    RecordTimestamp,
    Step)
    VALUES
    ('Client A', '01-01-2014', 10),
    ('Client A', '01-02-2014', 20),
    ('Client A', '01-03-2014', 30),
    ('Client A', '01-04-2014', 40),
    ('Client A', '01-05-2014', 50),

    If you check the execution plan you will notice several SORT operators which could yield poor performance. We could try using an intermediate table and adding a POC (partition / ordering / covering - idea from ITzik Ben-Gan) index to improve it.
    Does this help?

    Hi Nicole,
       yes , wat u said is right but wen u do ME11 transaction
    in dat conditions tab we we get into screen where we will be filling scale qty for a condition
    this might be stored in one of the condition tables with certain condition number.

    if i go to EINA or EINE table these tables dont have scale qty fields.

  • Used an old tape started recording in DV and then recorded in HDV

    Hi,
    In a moment of madness I used an old tape which I had previously used for DV. New recording about 8 minutes in is in HDV. The Apple won't recognise the HDV portion of the recording, ie., the bit I want. Anyone got any ideas please?
    Thanks. Bry

    You don't need a card to down convert HDV. The cameras and decks will do it. You setup the camera or deck to down convert to DV, and capture using the easy setup for DV... Even if you've shot HDV... But that said, I think you might end up with better results if you capture HD, then down convert the final sequence to SD for recording back... Just seems to me the old rule is still true. Edit natively until the very end when you must either compress for a DVD or web stream, and in your case, for a tape delivery.

  • Report to show all activities (ended and not ended)

    Hi,
    I would like to do a report to show all activities (not ended and ended), but when I do the report from "Activity" the only information shown is no ended activities.
    Is possible to show all activities? How can I do it?
    Thank you and regards.

    Monica - depending on the Subject Area, including certain "look-up" or reference fields to other tables automatically implies a join-relationship between the 2 tables.
    Case-in-point, the activities subject area. Whenever you include fields from other objects like (Account Name, Campaign Name, Contact job title, etc.) "Answers" will automatically assume that you only want those activities where those field-values are populating, consequently filtering the report. It seems to occur any time you're trying to include data across tables in a one to one relationship.
    A better example, and likely a common headache for CRM report builders is an Opportunity report, wherein you're including data from the Primary Contact associated to the opportunity. By the same limitations, you would wind up with only those opportunities that have a Primary Contact associated, versus all opportunities with contact-data if it's populated.
    It is my understanding that the only workaround is to use Combined Analyses to create an union of the 2 reports, one with all opportunities and another with primary contacts. Use a pivot table and max-aggregation rule on the contact name to remove dupes.
