Report with e-mail

I would like to create a report that shows the employee name and e_mail. They are both separate columns in the table (emp_name, emp_mail). How can I have the report show the emp_name with a link to the emp_email (when they click on the emp name)

Create two reports. One containing the employee name and Emp Code ( I am assuming Emp code as the PK ). Now create another containing email and having employee code as a bind variable ( in your sql where clause ). Next create a link component which points to the second report (email) and which accepts emp code as parameter. Now attach the link to the emp code column of the first report and edit the link to make it receive the emp code as parameter.

    I don't have my device infront of me to double check but i remember it should be something in the GUI > Monitor > Incoming Mail Summary
    Here you can pull some reporting information for hour, day, week, month etc.
    Else, you can organised scheduled reporting for incoming mail summary
    This will show how many connections/messages were entered, filtered, dropped due to SBRS, dropped due to spam, virus or content filters and how many ended up clean

  • Bursting a report with multiple queries

    Hi,
    I need to set-up bursting in BIP for a report with multiple queries. The output format is pdf and delivery is through e-mail. Since the queries need to be linked, I'm trying to do this using data template. I've set-up split and burst based on a field (store_id) from the first query which is used as a bind variable in the subsequent queries. So I'd ideally want the report to be split based on store_id. The report works fine if I use a parameter for store_id and view the output by store_id. When I try to schedule the report for bursting, it generates and e-mails the reports but only the last report appears to have correct data output while the others have only the output from the first query (and all other queries appear to return nothing in the report).
    Any suggestions on what could be the issue here? Thanks!

    When you use ":Q1_STORE_ID" in your queries, BI Publisher looks for a report parameter named Q1_STORE_ID. Change all your report queries to get data for all the store_id's available. As you are bursting the report using the store_id as the bursting key, BI Publisher will split the report based on the stored_id and delivers content based on it. No matter how many queries you may have, BI Publisher will loop through all the store_id's available and all the queries will return data for that particular id in a report.

  • Problem sending emails with Mac Mail 1.3.11

    Desperately in need of help. I'm able to receive but not send email using Mac Mail. I keep getting an error message:
    "This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
    The sender address [email protected] was rejected by the server"
    I have already tried the following at the advice of AppleCare reps:-
    Have verified & repaired disk utilities & keychains
    Have reinstalled the operating system
    Have trashed the mail.plist file
    Have trashed the outbox.mbox file
    Getting quite frustrated now because we have a mac bookpro with identical mail settings and it is able to send and receive mail without any problems.Could it be the version of Mail I'm running ?
    I initially thought that the problem related to having switched to a new ISP but the fact that one of the mac's has no problem has led me to be less convinced of that idea.

    I am having the same problem exactly. I can read e-mail, but get the same error message trying to send it. I can't use .Mac anymore--have to use alternate e-mail for the last month--since some time in October 2006.
    I haven't changed anything on my G4, haven't upgraded anything, and the problem started about the time .Mac reported some customers were unable to use Mail for a couple of days in October.
    I see nobody answered your post. Did you ever get your mail to work? I have repaired permissions, but I don't think it has anything to do with that.

  • How to send ALV report Output through mail in background !

    Hi ,
    I had an ALV Report. I want to send this report output to patricular email id every day ! Presenty i do this manually. I run the report and send the output to the particular email address. Now i want to schecule the report daily in background and the out put of the report should be mailed to particular email ids in background itself. How can i do this ?
    Is there and method or setting through which we can do this ?

    How to send multiple attachments  with a mail??
    Situation::
    In my case i have 5 internal tables populated dynamically in the report.
    I want to send them in .TXT format as attachment with 1 mail.
    Can anybody tell me in 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1',
    how we add multiple attachmants to table objin???

  • Unexplained incompatibility with Apple Mail / pop services

    I am a technician that supports numerous clients using Apple Mail.
    I am increasingly running into compatibility problems with Apple Mail.
    Certain pop accounts will not download at all, for instance 123-reg.co.uk (pophost.123-reg.co.uk).
    The app seems to look for mail but doesn't see anything there, despite there being mail to download.
    I have also had problems with pop.dsl.pipex.com. My only alternative at present is to use Entourage and I certainly don't want to recommend MS products to our customers.
    Can someone please help, this defies regular troubleshooting.

    However, bearing in mind that Entourage works fine,
    it would imply that the problem is Apple Mail rather
    than numerous different mail servers.
    Even if the problem is something with Mail, probably only someone actually using these servers you mention is going to be able to find out, working with the people who run them, what is going wrong.
    Have you told the mail server operators/support staff about your problems and have they given any response?
    Have you tried Thunderbird, which is a popular non-MS alternative to Mail?
    Have you seen any other reports in this forum about other users having similar problems?
    Surely you
    guys should be investigating this as a point of
    concern for Apple?
    You are just talking to other users like yourself in these forums, not to Apple.

    i forgot one tech issue to be setup: The internet Mail gateway needs to be setup if you want to send proper e-mails.
    presupposed all tech. issues are solved, I agree with my colleague. Setup is fairly easy to handle, as soon as you know the customers demands like
    - who is allowed to send
    - who will do it in the future
    - who are the recipients
    - when should the precalc. take place/when should the Workbook be executed (Timepoints, after dataupdate ...)
    for authorisations check out object: s_rs_bcs.
    also make sure that the executor has permissions for the backgroud user (serach in TRC SU21, i can not remember.)
    if all is known = approx. 2-3 days until go live, depending on the complexity of the existing scheduling and the authorisation concept.
    Not to mention the training for all that and the tchnical setup.

  • How to generate complex reports with JHeadStart?

    I have data from a DataSourceSet process in the infoTable (I use BC4J 9.0.3.10.7, JHeadStart 9.0.3.58, Oracle MVC R.Candidate 2.0, UIX 2.1.9).I need to generate a report with this data in a UIX Table. Actually, I show the data as retrieved from the ViewObject(Whole query in a table). One of the columns has Numbers and I add them at the bottom row with a GetTotalsRow process.
    Now I need to have subtotals in the same table as if I do a GROUP BY but without modifying the query (I have to do this using data stored in infoTable). I also have to add complex calculations for each row.
    Any idea?
    PD: I'm thinking in reading data from infoTable and in a custom process create DataObjectList with all details.
    is it a good approach?
    is there something better?

  • Sending multiple reports thru single mail in Crystal reports server XI R2

    I have a crystal report  which takes country as input parameter. Each country has one responsible person.

    I need to run this report with these three paramters(may increase infuture) and send the exported report to A,B and C as an mail attachment through crystal reports server XI R2.
    I have achieved above with Java code and deployed that java code as JAR file in crystal reports server and scheduled this JAR file.
    Here I need to attach all these three attachments to single mail and send it to Manager. And also I need to wait till all the reports gets executed and then attach all the attachments to single mail.
    Please help me how to achieve this.

    How are you creating the first three files, are you scheduling each to smtp, or are you waiting until they finish and emailing the instance through your jar file?
    If you are scheduling each one, and the instance in enterprise keeps a copy of the finished report, then you could monitor the status of the 3 jobs, once all finish you could get the report and email them out through your java code.  There wouldn't be a way to email all three reports as one email to the manager directly through the product.  You would be able to cc or bcc the manager on each, but then the manager would be receiving 3 emails.

  • Varible for Information Broadcasting Schedule (send Workbook with E-mail)

    FYI: I set a broadcasting schedule to send workbook with e-mail. The pre-calculated server was set already.
    My problem is that I want the value in selection-screen to be dynamic.
    e.g. I want the date (variable for 0CALDAY) to be filled with value of current date (the date on the day that the schedule is executed).
    When i set the broadcasting schedule, the wizard asks me to set the variable for selection screen. ("Variable Assignment"). I selected the variance that i prepared. (However, for that variance the date is fixed.) So, for everyday that the schedule is executed, the date value of the selection-screen is not the date that the broadcast schedule is execute; but it was the date on which i set the schedule.
    Is there any method to set a dynamic variable (something like a dynamic selection of ABAP report) ?
    or How can i solve this problem?

    Hi Rlyn,
    Have you thought of using standard SAP exit variable for restricting 0CALDAY in the query in the workbook on which the setting has been scheduled.
    The SAP exit would automatically determine the current date and query your dataset as per the current date and then broadcast.
    Other way to do this would be to create a variant ....as you have done and to change the value of the variant everyday using an ABAP program to change the value in the database tables (RSRVARIANT for 3.x and RSPARAMETERIZA)
    I would suggest you to try the former method(SAP exit variable).

    I know this sounds like a joke, but give it a try, we had the same problem. It seems that reports is waiting for an event.
    Move the mouse over the screen (I believe in particularly the reports progess dialog).
    This should make it run a lot faster.
