Reports in Pivot table

Hi,
Whenver we crate a report in CRMOD, by defalut the columns are set from left to right.
But as per the customer requirement, i have to design a report with the columns from top to bottom.
Can anybody please suggest the solution.

Hi, Not sure about your requirement. But it is about adding a new item like "All" to your drop down, then click the icon next to the field under Page section, there you see something called "New Calculated Item". You can use that to create a drop down value of your choice and use the same

    hi save ur filter value in a presentation variable.
    create a dummy report with only one column and add your time column to it. in the fx give timestampadd(sql_tsi_month, 1, column) and create a filter for the column with column=presentaion variable. make sure in the filter the fx is only the column name not with the timestampadd fn.
    now in your original report go to your time column filter and in the advance filter tab, selct ur dummy table results. and create another filter with "or" clause with the previous one and make column_year=presentaioon variable. hope this works.

    3.country product unitcost

    how to do it .. do u have any idea to do work around.
    if u run the single report it has to show 4 charts like i said above. using pivot chart can we make it out ?
    but i tried .. i did not get any idea.. please help me...

    Which is it? Did you create the 4 pivot table charts but don't know how to display them? Or do you not know how to create pivot table charts?

    HI, was there a Solution Ever found for this post other than the Workaround.

  • Navigation of Grand total in pivot table

    I’m currently working in report development Oracle BI wherein I need to develop a report using pivot table. I need to do summation at both row and column level and when clicked on the Grand Total level it should display entire resultset. According to the data clicked the filter condition is passed on to next level of report, but it displays no results at total level as the filter is passed as the same name ‘Grand Total’(column heading) instead of the actual values.
    Any pointers on this would be helpful to us.

    i am experiencing the same proble.I hope you are creating calculated item and you are clciking on measure value corresponding to calculated item.In that case it will pass calculated item name to child report .Correct me if i am wrong.
    I think it is not possible in that case to pass correct filters.Wait for others comments.

    i've a request composed by 3 union. It returns following results:
    Description Value
    Desc1 8,7
    Desc2 9,4
    I've created a pivot table. I've applied formatting to Column Description clicking on section "Formatting headers" with a background color = blue. In this way formatting it has been applied both to column Description both for first row and for second row. Can I apply a different formatting for each single row? Thanks

    I hope as per your previous post, you might have already set the presentation variable. You can write the column formula now as:
    case when @{variables.country} = 'All Choices' then sum(revenue) by year else <your previous case to hide the USA column} end.

  • Pivot Table Report Issue

    Hi,
    I have created a Pivot Table report (I use them all the time in Excel) as one of my rows...I am using a field that is a formula. When I look at the pivot table results there is a sum by this "row category"...all total 1726 items (correct # of total items' but the sum by each of the 4 items is wrong...when I drill (I can only drill from a higher level)...I get the detail of the 1726 items correctly...but if I do a pivot in Excel off the detail I get a different number in the 4 categories (actually the correct summary data)....HOW do I fix this...we really want to use the power of the report...but with such a large error it is difficult to trust the results of the report.

    It is very difficult to troubleshoot a report without seeing it, but it looks to me like you have a problem with your aggregation rules... each column has an aggregation rule, and a pivot table measure can also have an aggregation rule... sometimes, depending on the formula and columns that make up your formula, the aggregation rules can cause seemingly incorrect totals because the data is aggregated on the table and then re-aggregated on the pivot table.

    I have been working on OBIEE and i need to create a multipage report. I have created a report in BI Dashboard using pivot table and i like to create the same pivot table (as pdf report) by using BI publisher.
    But i am unable to add pivot table in the rtf file that is used as template.
    When i am creating a template in rtf format, it has only three option either you can add table or form or Cross tab. I have tried to add the pivot table but i didn't find any way to add that.
    Pls suggest me to solve this.

  • Replace Null With 0 in Pivot Table in a BI Publisher Report (Not OBIEE Answ

    I have a problem with nulls in a pivot table. I got a measure column in my BI Answers analysis and I made a report with a model based in this analysis. When I add a pivot table to my report the 0 measures don't display.
    In first place I found that there's a bug (13054445). I download and ran the patch, then I tried editing data format in my analysis column and in BI Answers and this worked. The 0 displays correctly, but in the report it's still not displaying.
    I tried editing the formula in the analysis with:
    IFNULL(column,0)
    CASE WHEN column IS NULL THEN 0 ELSE column END
    CASE WHEN column IS NOT NULL THEN column ELSE 0 END
    IFNULL(cast("column"as varchar (10)), '0')
    And nothing works
    When I tried this: CASE WHEN column IS NULL THEN 0 ELSE 656565656 END
    in the report the 6565656565 display correctly but the 0 still doesn't display.
    Does anybody know if that is a bug? Or does another option exist that can I try?

    Following on with this post, I followed the document posted and the formula worked fine. I was able to replace nulls with strikethrough in a pivot table. Since combining the report into a compound layout, the strikethrough has reverted back to nulls. Even when just viewing the pivot table, the same applies.
    I have double checked the column properties and the condition(is null) and formatting(strikethrough) still exists but does not take effect in the pivot table.
    I hav also checked that no data exists in the fact table under the null categories and they are true.
    Can anyone help with this problem, I have also removed the condition and re-applied but still face the same problem.

    I have a problem with Action Links for Oracle CRM on Demand. When I click on an action link to navigate to an account detail page, I get the following error:
    The record you are trying to access has been deleted or has been assigned a new owner and you no longer have access to it. If you deleted the record, it may be accessed in Deleted Items. If you continue to have problems contact your Oracle CRM On Demand Administrator.

    In this thread it's said to place the Account ID column right next to the Account Name column. This solution works for regular tables, but not for pivot tables.
    Is it possible to link to an account detail page from pivot links?

    For pivot tables you will have to use this method in order to be able to drill down to the detail page:
    On you Report-
    Define Criteria: Add the Account ID (Record ID field is a must)
    - Click on the Properties icon on this column--> Data Format Tab --> uncheck Override Default Data Format and select Plain Text from the Treat Text as drop down.
    Add the below code in the text area.
    "http://"@[html]"<a target=_top
    href=https://*secure-ausomxXXX*.crmondemand.com/OnDemand/user/AccountDetail?OMTGT=AccountDetailForm&OMTHD=AccountDetailNav&AccountDetailForm.Id="@">View Account</a>"
