Repository vs. AUR management

Hi,
Is there a way to learn more about how a package fares in a regular repository? For instance, any package in AUR is complete with a discussion list which I can check at any time.
There's the Arch Way: upgrades come asap . OK, there's qbittorrent 2.x out there for quite some time: http://qbittorrent.sourceforge.net/download.php
On the other hand, it's still
$ yaourt -Ss qbittorrent
community/qbittorrent 1.5.6-2 [installed]
A bittorrent client written in C++ / Qt4 using the good libtorrent library
$
here.
I don't think that my [idle] curiosity warrants an email to the maintainer; is there a non-intrusive way to learn why?

Flag the package out of date here http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=qbittorrent ,  if the package doesn't get updated mail the maintainer.

  • How to downloadin Business Process Repository in Solution Manager?

    Hello,
Does anybody know how to download whole Business Process Repository from solution manager?
I know how to download BPR, that are related to project, to excel file, but I want to download all the scenarios, processes are inbuilt to the Solution Manager business blueprint.
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks,
    Mahantesh

    Hello Mahantesh,
I suppose that your idea behind this question is that you would like to browse the contents of the BPR. For this specific pupose, SAP will deliver a new web dynpro application with SAP Solution Manager 4.0 SP 12 and the respective stack coming out mid June 2007 which allows you to browse all BPR contents in your SAP Solution Manager system. So you no longer have to create a seperate project and select the contents via F4 value help in SOLAR01 in order to access the contents.
For further updates, please check the news mid June:
    <a href="http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager">http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager</a>
Media Library -> Technical Papers. It will probably be called: "4.0 Support Package Stack <latest stack> [probably stack 12]"
However, please note that an individual download of the entire or partial BPR structures into MS Excel will not be possible.

  • Error while connecting to Repository through Data Manager

    Hi Experts,
I am able to access MDM server through MDM Console, Here mainlyI got two errors.
Error 1:- I am not able to create new repository through Console.when I click on "create Repository" option in Console,it will try to connect DBMS server to create.at the same time I have given Database credentials. It was giving error like" Unable to connect to DBMS server".
Error 2:- I have some repositories in my MDM server.already one repository is running.I am trying to access the running repository in Data Manager as well in as Import Manager and Syndicator.at the same time I am not able to connect to repository giving error like "Repository not loaded".
Note: all the necessary ports are opened as per SAP standard.
Please help me regarding this.if anybody have idea about this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ravi.

    Hi Ravi,
       Steps to load a repository
       1) Load the MDM server
       2) Start MDM server
       3) There you will find list of repositorys
       4) If required login into the repository
This is the main step you got to perform to solve your second problem
       5) Right click the Repository and select 'Load Repository' and then 'Immediate'
This will load the repository and you can work on the repository from any where either IM,DM or syndicator.
For the first error check wether you have given the proper path for your DBMS server; if you give it right it wont give u any error. If its in local system then by default it be in the list. Else you got to provide the system name where the server is there.
In case of any othere issuse please let me know.

  • Repository for Content Management

How do I know that whether TREX or CRM Database is used for Content repository?
I am able to import & link documents under 'Document Search' in IC Web .
I would like to know what is configured as a repository for document management.
I know where to configure content repository,TREX RFC connection, but where can I tell the system which one system should use for storing documents?
    Thanks,
    Thirumala.

    HI
Can you check tx OAC0 ? This might give you some hint.

  • Linking DMS to a Content Repository for Recipe Management

How do I link a document type to a content repository?
This is for Recipe Management. When I look in DC10 I can see that there is a document type of RMS for Recipe Management.
I assume this means Recipe Management is connected toDMS
I have created a content repository ZRM using OAC0.
How do I make the link between the document type RMS in DMS and the content repository ZRM?

Thanks for the reply but it isn't really what I was after.
I am only the basis guy so I am not sure of the application but my expectation is that users will save a document with a document type of RMS. This document should be saved to a Content Repository
What you have described is how to save a type of document such as MS Word to a particular repository. I was hoping that Recipe Management documents (possibly MS Word, possibly not) would go to a Recipe Management Repository.
There still might be the possibility that documents (possibly MS Word) for other projects e.g. packaging could be written to a different repository.
What I am hoping for is a link from the document type RMS in DC10 to the Content Repository defined in OAC0.
I have a suspicion this is via the category defined by OACT.
The link from SAP DMS to Content Repository seems fundamental to me. I am surprised no one has the answer
...or perhaps I have completely missed the point?

  • Issue in Importing Cleansing package in to Repository through Repo Manager

    Hi,
For using Data Quality, we have installed the cleansing package installble into our server. It has created all the ZIP/DAT Files in to the ...DataQuality\Datacleanse directory. After that while importing into Metadata through Repository Manager, we are getting
" A Probelm occurred while verifying data cleanse repository connection".
Note : We have installed BODS XI 3.1 Version
And the cleansing package  using here is SBOP CLEANS PACK XI 3.2
Is there any problem with version incompatibility?
Any other solution??? Kindly help us on this.
    Reg,
    John

    John,
BODS XI 3.1 requires cleansing package XI 3.1.  You will need to download the cleansing package XI 3.1.  Or, you can download BODS XI 3.2 and install the latest version.

  • Repository for Document Management System

    Hi All,
I need to devleop a repository [ just like Document Management System ] for my existed application which is handling the documents.
If any user having access to the repository, opens the directory, he should not see any documents.
Please let me know, what are the technologies to be used etc., etc.,
Any suggestions or info will be appreciated.
    Regards,

The file system is controlled by the operating system. Thus if you want to manage permissions at that level then you must use the OS.
There are no "other" technologies for that. You can buy or find management applications which allow you to do the same thing that the OS does but via different user approach. Most will be specific to the OS because that allows the most features.

  • Business Process Repository in Solution Manager

My question on the BPR is two-fold:
    1) Where exactly is the file located in the marketplace to update the BPR for Solution Manager 4.0? I've looked and I've searched and have been unsucessful in finding it?
    2) From the current BPR in Solution Manager is it possible to extract the data there into a csv, txt or xls file? I've seen another thread in the forum on extraction (a link was provided) and unfortunately the link that was provided did not hold the information required to answer this particular question?

The BPR is contained in software component ST-ICO 150_700. Check the schedule: <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000595040&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700005273772003E">Support Package Schedule - SAP Solution Manager</a>

  • Config Repository and Security management Tools, Attn Frank/anyone

    Hi Frank:
I am trying to change permissions not from JDEV but from a "tool." Our customer might want to change permissions once delivered.
I looked over the link you sent me. I am somewhat confused. On Page 17, it says "use Application Server Control" for Users/Roles .
For policies, it says use JAAS Provider Tool (which is the command line tool, I guess). However, third column says Tools for JAAS Login Module (n/a).
I am assuming I have start start_oc4j.bat whether it is standalone or embedded.
"App Server Control" tool web-based and started via http://localhost:8888/em? Looks like there is a place to change default module. Wonder we can use the tool to set secure-web-app?
For policies, and JAAS AdminTool, how do I issue the commands. Is this the one to do with changing permissions? Do I have to specify all paths when issuing commands? Where are the commands doc?
I am testing in embedded environment, not standalone. Can I still use the above tools and how? (Any doc/examples)
Lastly, I am not even sure if I can use any of these? I use custom JAAS Login Module and the doc says "n/a". Does that mean I have to change permissions manually?
    Thanks

    Hi,
actually enterprise managed in OC4J might not be as powerful as EM in ApplicationServer. I never used both of them to configure security and instead used Textpad as I am feeling confident with the syntax to use.

  • Cannot assign custom security manager to repository

    Hello,
I've been following the details on how to implement a read-only security manager (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e2ddd63d-0b01-0010-46bb-e092790068cb) and I have run into the following problem:
After following the instructions for option B in the document (creating a security manager only) and  deploying my project, the new security manager appears in the list of managers on the admin screen (Content Management -> Repository Managers -> Security Manager) but it is not available in the drop down list of security managers for my repository. Without that entry I cannot apply the new security manager to my repository.
According to the document, the new security manager should be part of this list but it is not even after I've restarted the J2EE engine.
The document is dated May 2006 so perhaps there have been some changes to the system that are not covered in the document. We are running NW 7.0 SP14.
Any help in determining why my custom security manager is not part of the security manager drop down list would be appreciated.

Ok, after much decompiling and inspection of the standard KM security manager implementations I found the answer to my question.
Basically I found that the security manager tutorial only applies if you plan on using your custom security manager with your own custom repository manager. You cannot apply a security manager created using that document to a standard KM repository manager.
In my case I want to apply a custom security manager to a standard KM File System Repository. By inspecting the SFSRepositoryManager.cc.xml file I found the following entry:
    <attribute name="securitymgr.ref" type="ref" refType="/cm/repository_managers/security_managers/SecurityManager" mandatory="false" hotReload="true" />
The refType value defines which security managers are displayed in the drop down list of available Security Managers at runtime for the repository manager. In order to get a custom security manager to be available you must define the cc.xml for your custom security manager so that it extends "SecurityManager" not "SecurityManagerMi" as the tutorial describes.
Changing the extension means your security manager implementation must also change so that it extends com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.AbstractRepositorySubManager and implements com.sapportals.wcm.repository.manager.ISecurityManager.
Now if only I could figure out how to reward points to myself .....

  • Metadata Manager Repository Configuration Error

I'm trying to install XI 3.1 Metadata Manager FP1, and run into the following error:
    "Metadata Management Repository Configuration
Metadata Management Repository configuration failed with the following error.
The plugin CrystalEnterprise.MM.Repository does not exist in the CMS (FWM 0217)

    InfoObject CrystalEnterprise.MM.Repository was not found.
Unable to initialize Metadata Management Core.
    Utility failed with code 3.
You need to re-run the installer again."
I ran it again and got the same error. I have a SQL Server database set up, ODBC connections test successfully. Anyone know how to resolve this issue?

I ran into the same error, and a colleague was able to figure it out. I thought I'd share that in case someone else runs into this.
We have two CMS servers. When I was installing MM's CMS components on the first server, it failed late in the install because it couldn't find an object that was installed earlier. It must have been accessing the second server, even though I entered "localhost" as the CMS location. By disabling and stopping the second server in the CMC, I was able to complete the install.

    Hi
    Repository framework:
Knowledge Management capabilities provides a central, role-specific point of entry to unstructured information from various data sources. This unstructured information can exist in different formats such as text documents, presentations, or HTML files. Workers in an organization can access information from different source such as file servers, their intranet, or the World Wide Web.
The Repository framework(RF) integrates these data sources and provides access to the information contained in them through the portal.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/cacd8860-0a01-0010-a393-a7bdd1449487
    REpository managers:
To integrate differnt type data source we need repository managers .
    e.g.
we can configure internal repository like Content management repository managers:(CM)
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/284
We can also configure external repository like file repository, lous notes repository etc.
    File repository maanger:
By cofiguring file reposisitory we can access outside file systems through Knowledge management.
We can use diffrent repository managers in the configuration like W2KSecurityManager
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=560624&tstart=525
The configuration for all the repository managers are provided by the SAP library.
    chk this:
    KM>admin guide>sys admin>sys configuration>repository and repository managers
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/4c/9d953fc405330ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm
This will be sufficient to clarify your doubt. If you want any help let me know.
    Reward points if helpful.
