Require data from field: STATUS belonging to structure: MEREQ3330
Gurus,
I am MM consultant, so please excuse me if its a simple question,
I need to pull data from field: STATUS belonging to structure: MEREQ3330.
Data element: MMPUR_PR_EXTSOURCE_STATUS_TY
This field belongs to Purchase Requisition.
Can you please explain in simple english, how can I extract data of the
above mentioned field from structure.
I read the forum threads, but most of them are talking for programming or pulling
data of FM. I dont understand, what to do there.

Data Element: MEREQ_PROC_STATUS.
Can anyone, Please tell me whether to find field data belonging to any other structure, I can view the table the same way as mentioned by Vaas e.g. for structure of PO, I can check EKKO_tech or EKPO_TECH.

i have done one scenerio i.e get required data from one table into another table on basis of some condition by using CKM.
Now i want same,but this time my target is file ,not RDBMS.
so plz tell me procedure how i can get required data from source table into File on basis of some condition using CKM.
thanksCKM checks for Constraints and Not Null condition. You can use IKM SQL to File and being that there is no option in IKM for CKM .
The other method is you can declare those Not null and other condition as Filter in the Source Datastore, that should filter out records that you are not willing to move to files. -

If you want to update a db STRUCTURE it is not possible because Structure doesnot hold any data.
If you are trying to update a db table then the update command should do the work.
Eg : UPDATE VBPA3 FROM TABLE DA_XVBPA3U.
Note : The Internal table should be of same structure and should not have duplicate entries.

How to retreive data from a table and a structure
Hi experts,
I have a requirement to create an ALV report. I have to include fields from two tables 'PA0001' and 'CATSDB' and from one structure 'CATSAPPR'. I am able to retrieve data from tables using INNERJOIN. But i have no idea how to deal with Structure.
I know that structure does not contain any data.
But i am not able to find any transparent table which has field 'ORDERTEXT' . I found field 'ORDERTEXT' only in structure 'CATSAPPR'.
So please anyone tell me, either any transparent table which has field 'ORDERTEXT' or please tell me how to deal with structure, in this case.

There are 2 internal tables defined as Fieldsymbols (type any) and I need to retrive data from second internal table based on a field value in first internal table.
Let's assue the name internal table 1 is <it_itab1>, 2nd internal table name is <it_itab2> and the work areas are <wa_itab1> and <wa_itab2>.
The existing logic :
LOOP at <it_itab1> ASSIGNING <wa_itab1>.
ASSIGN COMPONENT 'XYZ' OF STRUCTURE <wa_itab1> TO l_field6.
LOOP AT <it_itab2> ASSIGNING <wa_itab2>.
ASSIGN COMPONENT 'XYZ' OF STRUCTURE <wa_itab2> TO <p_field7>.
IF <p_field7> = l_field6.

The requirement of reading second internal table was achieved by putting loop on the internal table but its giving considerable effect on performance !!
Is there any way to use READ statement in my case OR any way of putting WHERE condition on loop statement of second internal table ??

Error while moving Data from fs to its corresponding Structure
Hi Gurus,
I am getting a run time error (Operands are not Convertible) while executing the below statement:
MOVE <fs> TO ls_struc.
[ Over here: ls_struc is TYPE XYZ (a custom structure containg 7 fields, out of which one field is type Packed decimal, which is why I get a run time error) AND
<fs> is a field symbol which is containing the data for all fields in the structure XYZ ]
If I change the data type of packed decimal field in the structure: 'LS_STRUC' to 'char ' type, then the above query works.
Could anyone help in resolving this issue.

The ABAP RTTS Run Time Type Services CL_ABAB_xyzDESCR are especially useful if you need to know all field properties of a structure or if you want to create structures and tables dynamically. In this case, CREATE DATA has the required features.

URGENT! Getting the correct data from field BET01 in Infotype 0008

I am trying to read the logs (Long-term PCL4) for the field BET01, BET02...in infotype 8. When I get the data from the logs, the value that appears in BET01 seems to be different from the value present in PA0008.
Does this value depend on the wage types valuation? How is this value in the logs calculated? For the same amount present in pa0008-bet01 and for same wage type, i am seeing a different amount coming up from logs. Could anyone please help me with this to understand how the value in logs is being calculated?

The standard way to insure a unique code is to use an Oracle sequence.
Otherwise, you could build your pl/sql into a stored procedure or package that inserts the new document code into the table before it passes it back to the user. This would prevent the second user from getting a duplicate, but would also stop user 2 from even getting a document code until user 1 did a commit. -

I have three tables EmpIDs,EmpRoles and LatestRoles. I need to write a select Query to get roles of all employees present in EmpIDs table by referring EmpRoles and LatestRoles.
The condition is first look into table EmpRoles and if it has more than one entry for a particular Employee ID than only need to get the Role from LatestRoles other wise consider
the role from EmpRoles .
Sample Script:

My meain problem is that I need a vi where I can save my fieldpoint data only in special cycles. At the moment I use a vi which can only save every second in form of a while loop and a metronom. I am searching for a vi where I can choose the time between every saving step in excel. In addition to that I would like to have a boolean button where i can start/stop the saving within running process.

for your problem is called “Software Control Timing”.
If a
desired time has elapsed, you can write data’s to a file.
The explicit
timing is the timing for your while loop, e.g. 10ms.
If a
desired time has elapsed, you get a flag from a timing-function and an
additional block of your code (e.g. a subVI) will executed.
The set
time for the timing function is settable dynamically, while your program is
running.
Find the VI
in the attachment, which will provide this functionality for you.

I get the data in this field symbol <l_t_data>. by passing into a funtion module. and I get the data into it. Now i have to assign the values of this field symbol to any internal table or to a work are how do i do it. Please help.
