Requirements upgrade 9iR1 to 10gR1

We want to perform an upgrade from ias 9iR1 (forms/reports/discoverer) to an ias 10gR1 (forms/reports/discoverer) on windows NT4. Where can I find the requirements for the memory, disk space, processor when I want to perform this upgrade.
I know i.e. that the memory must be at least 1Gb, but is that enough? Or must it be 2Gb to perform well?

Mark

  • Custom Prompt to Require Upgrade to Acrobat 9

I have a Acrobat 9 PDF that has Flash Multimedia Elements and I want to require that users with Acrobat 8 or lower to upgrade to Acrobat 9.
I would like to be able to customize/modify this error prompt:
"This file appears to use a new format that this version of Acrobat does not
support. It may not open or display correctly. Adobe recommends that you upgrade to the
latest version of Acrobat products. Please visit our products site at
    http://www.adobe.com/acrobat."
Is this possible to do with the SDK?

You can't customize that message, but you could put up your own via JavaScript at the document level of the PDF.

  • Disk Space Required - Upgrade from 11.5.9 to 12

Just wondering, roughly, aside from the database, how much disk space should I require for a basic upgrade of Oracle Fins - release 11.5.9 to release 12?
Is release 12 just like 11i was - meaning, it installed all the apps, even though you used just a few?
    Thanks.

What problem? Did you believe we know what you are doing?

    What is your ending version?

  • Iphoto requires upgrade and won't open

Hello - I have been having trouble with my iPhoto for a  long time.  For the longest time it would say I need to upgrade, and then it would open, but now, it still asks me for an upgrade, but says it's either "in use" or not readable.

Hello there - so I am going to try my best to give you an entire view of all of my issues with iPhoto.
My Operating System: OSX Version 10.9.3
    iPhoto Version 9.5.1
When I click on iPhoto App - a dialogue box pops up, "Your Photo Library Needs to be Upgraded" with options to either "quit" or "upgrade".  I always choose "upgrade" as this has been happening for a long long time, and when selecting "upgrade" - it was opening fine.   Since about 1 month or so ago, it no longer opens up after selecting "upgrade".
our photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable
Now what is happening, is a 2nd dialogue box pop ups indicating, "Your photo library is either in use by another application or has become unreadable".
Shut down and restart your computer, and then open iPhoto again. If the problem persists, try rebuilding your photo library. To do this, quit iPhoto, and then reopen it while keeping the Option and Command keys pressed. You can also try restoring your photo library from a backup."
I have tried EVERY single option listed above at least 10 times, with no different outcome.
My iPhoto Library is on an external drive.  What other information do you require, as I really concerned about losing all my pictures.
    Thank you!!

  • Required upgrades for iPhone and iTunes?

I am running Mac OS X 10.4 and was wondering what I need to upgrade to to purchase an iPhone and download iTunes 10.

You need at least 10.5.8, which is the max OS a PPC Mac can run, yet has some shortcomings if you use Calendar Syncing, or 10.6.x if you have an Intel Mac.
    Leopard requirements/10.5.x...
        *  Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor
    minimum system requirements
        * 512MB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * 9GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
You have to call Apple & likely ask for a Product Specialist to get it, if they still have it! Helps to tell them you have an iPad/iPhone & you can't run 10.6.
There are workarounds if the 867MHz is the only hangup...
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/leopardassist/
    Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
    General requirements
       * Mac computer with an Intel processor
        * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
        * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
        * DVD drive for installation
        * Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
        * Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.
Which apps work with Mac OS X 10.6?...

The other Option is a PC running at least XP SP3, iirc.

  • My friend sent me an invite for shared photo stream. I've done all the requirement upgrades but everytime i clink on the invite it sends me to the requirements page. Any ideas?

My friend sent me an invite to join a shared photo stream. When I clink on the invite it opens up a page that tells me the steps to ensure I have all the requirements for photo stream. I've triple checked and I do. But it is the same response every time I clink on the invite. Any ideas as to what I"m doing wrong?

It's a fresh install so give the software a try from the Vista area and let us know what works:
This is the Vista 64 bit page so it would be a better chance of working:

  • Fraud? Action required : Upgrade New Adobe Acrobat Reader

    Hello Folks,
Got this strange e-mail regarding an upgrade to Acrobat Reader, Adobe Inc., Canada? Looks fishy, DON'T CLICK [url deleted by host]
Anyone else see this in their inbox, or know if it's legitimate?
    Text:
Just how much faster can you work with Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader
software? Fast enough to stay on top of last-minute changes, connect
with key decision makers, and share updates with co-workers.
You'll discover how easy it is to reuse content by exporting PDF files
to Microsoft Word or Excel formats. And how quickly you can automate
multi-step tasks with new, guided Actions. No wonder PC Magazine
says, "There's a lot to like in Acrobat X PDF Reader."
    Bill Lomax

It's not legitimate, and we see this type of thing all the time. Delete the email, don't visit the link, it'll be dealt with by Adobe.
Aside from it being a fake URL, they can't even get the product name right! There is no such thing as "Adobe Acrobat Reader". We have "Adobe Acrobat" and "Adobe Reader".

  • 9.1 Update Requires Upgrading the iPhoto Database Again?

I had iPhoto 9.0.1 installed and running fine. When I updated to 9.01, it ran the "Upgrading iPhoto database". I just installed the 9.1 update, and it is "Upgrading iPhoto database" again (and much slower this time). Is everyone having this experience?
The other odd thing, is that on startup, the iPhoto 9.1 saw all the iPhoto library backups I have, and asked me which to use. That never happened before.
    David

Thanks for your response TD, but this App, iPhoto 11 came already installed on my computer.  I registered my computer, but you can't register a product without a serial number.  I don't have the iPhoto 11 serial number because it came installed on my computer already.  I tried re-installing iPhoto 9.1 after registering my computer and got the same error message.  However, I did find out that I hae 90 days of complimentary phone support.  So I will be giving Apple a call.

  • Looks like adobe messed up.  Unable to install the 'required" upgrade  required because it won't let you view any videos until you upgrade. Doesn't recognize new password that I changed because it didn't recognize my old one!

I have been trying to install the new Adobe Flash upgrade 17 for most of the day, it didn't want to recognize my password so I went to the web page changed the password and now it still dosen't like the new password.  Anyone have solutions?

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in  mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.
are you freaking kidding me Apple? I mean REALLY?!!!! who the heck designed this?!!! I want to know. I want his or her name and I want to sit down with them and have a long chat. and then I'd probably splash cold water on their face to wake them up.
I am starting to believe that Apple is Satan.

  • My iphoto would not open it says require upgrade, my iphoto would not open it says require upgrade

My iphoto will not open, it says I need upgrade, which I did yet it goes to gives the same instruction over

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a potential solution.  We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what exact message do you see when iPhoto tries to launch?
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

  • Zen Mozaic: Installation CD requires upgrade?!

    Season Greetings!
I recently received a zen mozaic as a gift. However, when using the installation cd, I received the message,
"This product cannot be installed on versions of Windows older than Windows XP Service Pack 2. Please upgrade your operating system and try again."
Is there any possiblity of installing the zen mozaic without upgrading my windows?

I have the same problem. I'm running Windows XP Media Center Edition and have SP3 installed. No matter what I do I can't sem to install the Creative Centrale software. I will be returning this player to the store unless I can get the software working.
    I'm running: Microsoft Windows Version 5. (Build 2600.xpsp.07030-537 :Service Pack 3, v.3244)

  • Another old iMac requires upgrade/update

    Dear all.
After a year of waiting BT have finally got me on broadband in very rural West Wales!
I own three Macs none of them new. A G4 dedicated to sound recording, An Emac for general web use and graphics. And an 'old' iMac; a charcoal grey' Limited edition with 13 gig HD!! It uses OS 9 .0.3
I need advise Re the iMac. I have two Kids and would like to bring it back into service as a slow web browser etc.
The CD reader no longer works; I may replace it if everything else can be made to work.
I have managed to get iMac on line via BT HomeHub using original 'Explorer'. I can just about get to google search page but most web pages come up as gobbledygook - unreadable characters. (is this a resolvable conflict?)
Therefore I have so far been unable to download any updates.
I guess I need to install OS X? or OS 10.3 ?? But given that I can't download as is, and cant reinstall using original disk, is there another way?
Can I link iMac to eMac via ethernet and get OS X? that way? What else could I/might I have to do to make iMac worth bothering with. I am on very low budget at present so any big expense is out of the question.
I would greatly appreciate any helpful advise. Please use simple, one step at a time, terms since I am semi-technophobe.
    Many Thanks Chris 'Bubbapix'

As it happens, I've been dealing with very much the same sort of thing with a Bondi Blue. I can post some links for you if you want to pursue the firmware update and installation of Panther.
I was able to install Panther on the Bondi, and it will run Safari and connect to the internet. However, it has quit twice while trying to connect to You Tube, so I suspect that version of Safari has limits.
Configuring Apple Mail has been a challenge, especially with GMail. It's something I'm still trying to get worked out, but I don't know if it will be possible, as I believe that Google will stop supporting this version of Safari soon. AOL seems to work OK so far.
The Bondi is very slow, almost like dial up. Not sure if your kids would really like it. Yours might be faster, especially if you maxed out the RAM, but I suspect it would still be painfully slow.
If there is any way to sell the iMac for enough to buy something a little more modern, maybe with at least a G4 processor and running at least Tiger, that might be the better course of action if you can swing it.
Shop around for Panther and Tiger and other Macs, and see what you can come up with. Not sure what you could get for the iMac, but if you can get some OS X discs for it, it can be made to be somewhat useable.
When updating the OS on the Bondi before I got it on line, I downloaded the update onto my iBook G4 and then copied it onto a flash drive. I then plugged the flash drive into the Bondi and copied the update onto the desktop and installed it. You might try this to get the OS 9 update if you haven't been able to do it any other way.
    Good luck!

  • Changes that are required in new upgrade

There are many changes that are very much required in new update of the phone as there in no customization in led notification, moreover the led even dose not perform perfectely, and even contacts require upgradation it should be such that it should show the names having similar digits when tying the number dialpad so it becomes really convenient when we dont know the complete number or we know only half the number. Extra help and refrence can be taken from the ANDROID OS for that perticular problem, The blackberry 10 os is really awsome if it overcomes some small problems, really smooth interface and nice operation..
