Reserve Invoices and MRP

Hi
Problem:
Cash customer C001 place order for item 'xxx' and Reserve Invoice is created and sent to customer.
MRP order recommendation includes xxx for the reserve invoice and the part is ordered in from supplier.
C001 does not pay Reserve Invoice and does not respond.
We are now overstocked by item xxx and the supplier charges us a restocking fee to return the xxx for credit.
Is it possible for MRP to exclude items on unpaid Reserve invoice? i do not see this option.
If not possible to set MRP only to recommend order for paid Reserve Invoices what other solution or work-around could be used? I want to order parts only after Reserve invoice is paid.
Thanks for any assistance and suggestions.
Regards,
Karen

  • Reserve Invoice and Serial Numbers

    Dear experts
The challenge I've got is that  my customer have to use an A/R Reserve Invoice in order to deliver/Invoice product to
their customer before perform the landed costs transaction. This have to do with time (in some cases most of the
landed cost amounts are not available)
The problem is that the items are managed by serial numbers (medical equipment). Since it is not possible to
allocate serial numbers using A/R Reserve Invoice I just wondered if anyone has found a workaround for this in B1?
Does anyone have any ideas how I could possibly resolve this?
Thanks in advance for your help

    Dear Mr Morales,
In order to help you can you please tell us why your customer cannot pick the serial number when the delivery is made?
Why does your customer need to select the serial number at the moment of the AR Reserve Invoice that is not a stock document?
Also, you mentioned the landed costs that are a purchase document. I cannot understand the relation between the AR Reserve Invoice and the landed costs.
    Thank you for your information.

  • Transaction code A/R Reserve Invoice and A/R Credit Memo

    Hello experts,
My client has entered AR Reserve invoice and AR Credit memos- I need to find the accounting documents of these transactions.
I am not able to find the difference between them in my table. I am using BSEG.
    What am I doing wrong?
    THanks a  lot

    Hi........
Welcome To SAP Business One Forum......
Is your question related to SAP B1?
If yes then for every marketing document SAP creates Journal Entry except Orders as you can see it in Accounting Tab of Document.
So you can find out those accounting transactions by its Origin and Object code in document tables........

  • Reserve Invoice, reserve items and what about the batch's?

Hi Guys, i have a problem that i can't solve in 2005A, we know that we can't make Reserve Invoices at this version (no object), i haven't found the way to make obligatory the batch id selection in the lines of this document at standard way, but the reserve invoice compromises the existence of the items, how do they do it in items that manages batch's?
I don't know if we manage batch here different that another countries, we understand batch as a package for example, we sell from that package until it's over and comes the new package, then our problem is we make a reserve invoice and it "compromises" the existence of the items but not their batch's? if comes another person and but from the same package, when they'll make the delivery 15 days later, they see that the batch is over,
I don't know if i wrote this well, sorry about my english, hope somebody can help us with this, because we really need to reserve the batch as well too but we haven't found the way,
Please, everyone can write anything to help us, a better solution, a best practice, because i haven't found sometingh published in this forum, don't know if i have to write to somebody in sap so they can help us,
    Thank you all,
    Gabriel

    Hi Gabriel,
It sounds like you need hard allocation so you can allocate specific items to a customer. Hard allocation can't be done in standard SBO so you'd need to find an addon that provides this functionality (or write your own addon).
You could try asking your question on the application forum here:
    SAP Business One Application
They should be able to suggest an appropriate addon that fits your needs. If you are a SAP Partner then you could also search on the P2P site for addons.
    Kind Regards,

  • AP Credit Note copied from AP Reserve Invoice

    Hi all
AP Credit Note copied from AP Reserve Invoice cannot be posted with missing G/L account error.
This is similar to error posting AP Reserve Invoice and fixed by SBO version 9 patch 10 in SAP Note 1893780.
Now the error when posting AP Reserve Invoice is solved but cannot post when copied AP Reserve Invoice to AP Credit Note.

  • Delivery on A/R Reserve Invoice

    Hi,
I would like to know if partial deliveries can be made on an a/r reserve invoice and if so, are the inventory postings apportioned according to the quantity in the DO?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Partial deliveries allow or not is a setting on BP account. If you allow it, the inventory postings will be in according to the quantity from the partial Delivery.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • A/R Reserve Invoice

hi there I have another case,
I have created an A/R Reserve Invoice and was able to received/acknowledge the payment to close it. Eventually, the customer decided to cancel the order and advice us not to deliver the goods anymore. At this point, the customer asked for the refund of the amount paid considering there's no delivery of items. In most cases, refund amount is less thanthe amount paid by the customer, may be 20% or others strictly implement it 50% especially for order basis items or high-value items.
How are you going to handle this in SAP B1? I am doubtful about Credit Note considering there's No Goods delivery transaction yet.
What do you think guys?..hehehe, thanks again!
    Cheers,

    Dear Jerusha,

  • Generating sales order and reserve invoice in a row

    Hi all,
    i'm using B1iSN PL14 with sap B1 8.8.
I need to build the following scenario :
I receive an xml file representing a sales order, i have to create :
    - a sales order
    - a reserve invoice based on the sales order
I've create two BIUs that currently work.
But now i'd like to chain the two BIUs and execute the the invoice creation only if a sales order has been created.
What is the best way to do tha kind of thing ?
    thanks !

I found it difficult in a similar situation & unfortunately didn't get much response from here.
    My workaround solution was:
    - I removed the filter for the B1i user; it's explained in the extensibility guide I think. Basically B1i ignores any events created by itself, but I removed that so B1i received all events including ones created by B1i itself.
    - When creating my first document (for the example lets say it was a Sales Order), I entered a specific text in the remarks field - you could also use a UDF
    - Then my BIU for the second document then had the following conditions
    Document = Sales Order
    User = B1i
    Remarks = CreatedWithB1i (for example)
So using this, any time my first BIU completed succesfully, it triggered the second one... it's clearly a workaround solution, but it worked for me.

  • About AP Down Payment Request, AP Down payment invoice and AP reserve inv.

    Hi:
Which are the main differences? I need to pay in advance to my supplier 100% of the invoice, the purchase invoice would be received one month later. How can i link them? And what about the payment, how can i remember easily that invoices are missing when the account balance is = 0 because the payment is done.
    Best regards,
    Alberto.

    Hi,
There is a business need for companies to issue/receive Invoices including tax (or
VAT) for Down Payments made or received. These Invoices can then be cleared with
partial or final Invoices. Companies can record a Down Payment received in SAP
Business One by creating a Payment not based on an Invoice. However, due to legal
requirements in certain countries the recording of a Down Payment requires an Invoice
    or a billing document.
Down Payment Request and Down Payment Invoice documents have their own numbering series. The Down Payment Invoice
resembles a regular Invoice and the Down Payment Request resembles a Sales
Quotation. The user may define a different series under Invoices to be used in the
Down Payment document. Neither of these two documents affects the On Hand stock
or the stock valuation. They can be of Items or Service type.
    The process for them are:
Down Payment Invoice>Payment of Down Payment Invoice >Regular Invoice> Payment of Regular Invoice.
Down Payment Request>Payment of Down Payment Request > Regular Invoice >Payment of Regular Invoice and Clearing of Down Payment.
For the invoice paid, you can find a Payment Means icon from Invoice window, click on it, there is payment information and a link for it.
    Hope this helps,
    maggie an

  • Close an A/P Reserve Invoice

    Hi,
How can I close an A/P Reserve Invoice?
It has been posted with 1 item perfectly correct but by mistake with 2 items with quantity of 200 and unit price of 0 (to adjust for total - instead of deleting the lines 2 and 3).
Line 2 and 3 of this PO have been posted correctly later with a seperate A/P Reserve Invoice.
Now, the item master data keeps showing 200 in column ordered under the tab inventory data.
There is no close and no cancel available in A/P Invoice.
How can I correct this mistake? If I dont, MRP will never calculate these 2 items correct.
    Thanks
    Franz

    Hi Franz,
Do you mean draft (Reserve) A/P Invoice.
then go to purchasing reports - document draft report and select purchsing A/P and open only option then right click on the document and select remove or close option same practise do without selecting open only option on document draft report.
If you have saved the A/P invoice then generate the reverse document A/P credit memo.

  • Create Goods Receipt PO from  AP Reserve Invoice (bug?)

Via the user interface of sap2005 pl7 you can create "Goods Receipt PO" from an "AP Reserve Invoice".
In the "base type" field of goods receipt the value "18" is displayed. This seems not to be a "valid value" and it is as a consequence not possible to read the contents of this field with the UI-API, because <i>base type</i> is a combo box and only valid values can be returned.
Is there a workaround to get a none valid value from a combobox?

    Hi Jurgen,
It looks like it is a bug and that the same bug exists on the sales side of the DI API. Herewith a post that you can read about it.

  • Open quantity in Sales Order did not update after cancelling Reserve Invoice

Client created Credit Memo with reference to Reserve Invoice but this did not update the open quantity in Sales Order. Client is using SAP B1 8.82 PL9. I tested this in SAP 9.0 and still same behavior. Is there a work around other than creating another SO?
I checked Document Settings and "Reopening Doc by creating credit memo based on Doc" is enabled.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. How will the client be able to make new reserve invoices from the SO? They are trying to make partial reserve invoices from the sales order. I already suggested to just change the quantity in the reserve invoice before adding. But I have doubt because the SO might close prematurely before they complete the quantity in the SO because open quantity is much less then the quantity in SO.
    SO Quantity: 100
    Open Quantity: 40
    Reserve Invoice 1: 60
    Reserve Invoice 2: 40
SO closes before they can make Reserve Invoice 2
