Resource for JSF 2.2

Hi,
I am doing a POC on JSF 2.2 . I read the Blog from Arun Gupta which is great . Can I have more resources on the subject.
Thanks

Mmmmm ... try it:
FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
MyManagedBean mb = (MyManagedBean) fc.getApplication().getELResolver().getValue(fc.getELContext(), null, "mymanagedbean");
MyEJBRemote ejb = mb.getMyEJB();MyManagedBean have the EJB inyected, getMyEJB just return the instance.
Maybe work, however i'm not sure.

    Hi Vijay,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
    I have gone through the notes 1535201  & now on 1606563  after your advise.
    Both the notes says the fix is available on 7.01 after SP 07 and we are on SP 14 already.
    Also just in case I did checked with our basis and they confirmed we are a head and we have the above notes in our release already.
    Unfortunately the notes are not the solution to the investigation till date.
    Thanks,
    Sai

  • Error encountered while polling the resource for the service endpoint

    Hello everyone
    I'm a newbie on OSB world. Yesterday, I've tried to test OSB with FTP transport and got some problems.
    As you see in the title, I've search this forum to get a solution already, but I couldn't find anything. So that I create a new thread.
    I created a new OSB project, create a new Proxy service to connect to my FTP server:
    - service type: messaging service
    - request message type: Text, response message type: None
    - FTP transport: external user (I used a Service account), Post read action: archive, transfer mode: ascii, some directories needed were created in /tmp directory
    - Message flow: Start node -> pipeline pairs
    in request pipeline of pipeline pairs node: i created a new stage: Assign action -> Log (to get file contents, error severity) -> Assign -> Log (get file name)
    The expected results are: file file content and file name (display in osb console) after I submit a text file to ftp server (using test console or ftp client)
    But, some error occur continuously after I submit a text file (I can get the file content because error raise and log catch it). The error message is show below:
    <Jun 6, 2011 10:04:59 AM EDT> <Error> <ALSB Logging> <BEA-000000> < [PipelinePairNode1, PipelinePairNode1_request, show_text_info, REQUEST] file contents: li

    My question is how to solve this problem.
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Thank in advance.

    Thank atheek1, I remember that I didnt do any manual configuration on my domain :). I use that domain for testing so that I will create a new domain for comparison.

  • Could not find the principal resource for user id: paf

    I think I have set up iCal server correctly on a MacOSX 10.5.1 server (upgraded from 10.4.x). But regardless of how many different URLs etc I am trying, I can neither access calendars, nor subscribe to them. I am trying both with Safari and Firefox and iCal client on MacOSX 10.5.1.
    I have iCal service running.
    I have added the user "paf" that have full admin access, and also calendar service is turned on on the server calendar.frobbit.se. Calendar.frobbit.se is one of the hostnames for the server btw.
    I have a group called "canusecalendar" that "paf" is a member of.
    The access for iCal service on the host is for the group canusecalendar and for the user paf, where paf is administrator.
    The closest I have come is when I use a web browser and try to access any URL starting with http://calendar.frobbit.se:8008/. It ask for login, I give the credentials, and in the error log for the iCal service I see the following:
    <pre>2008-02-10 20:46:57+0100 [-] [caldav-8009] [AMP,client] Could not find the principal resource for user id: paf</pre>
    I do see tons of postings by people that more or less guess what URIs to use in browsers, for group calendars, in iCal client when connecting to an account or subscribing. Does anyone on this list know of an authoritative list of URLs that one should use here and there? The closest I have come is the "advanced" section of the iCal Administration document from Apple.

    Yes, I add users using workgroup manager, although the one I now use was added already in version 10.4 of MacOSX Server. I.e. before I upgraded to 10.5.

  • Tomahawk for jsf 1.2 problem with customizing treetable component

    hi,
    i've tried many times bu i've got no clue how to set custom icons in the tree. what i want to achieve is to display the server's local file system. however this component doesn't allow to explicit specify what the node type is (a directory or a file). as a result when it finds an empty directory entry, no icon is displayed. i googled a bit and i guess the project's documentation is not sufficient. any help appreciated. ofc if someone knows a better method (or a framework) to do the job, please let me know. thanks
    cheers

    You could store the value in the session and remove it when you need to use it.Thanks, r035198x. I tried that before and users from other Java forums suggest that I shouldn't do it this way as I am adding more codes than necessary to pass technically a value from one bean to another. Hence, I decided to follow their advice and went and created a generic bean that can be referenced by other beans for pages calculation. Some users also suggest using Dependency Injection (available for JSF 1.2) to try to accomplish the result I want. I've also read about this method in JSF 1.2 spec - but without much example, I'm pretty much in the dark as to how this work. Unfortunately, I've only been on JSF for the last 4 weeks so I'm still a newbie - please excuse any "dumb" questions I have asked on this forum so far...
    What I currently has working for me is moving the method to calculate the pages from mybean1 to mybean2. This means all I have to do now for the other beans (11 remaining) is passed a few parameters to mybean2's method that calculate pages.

  • Best practice for JSF 2.0 composite component?

    Following the various tutorials and blog entries I have found, I have managed to implement a few composite components. I want to do a more complex one, but haven't found and example yet to follow and my own proficiency in programming model isn't sufficient for me to determine the best way to do it.
    What I would want to implement is something like the following example.
    .. xmlns:mc="http://java.syn.com/jsf/composite/myComponent" ..
    <mc:addTwo value="#{SomeBean.someProperty}" />The included component has two fields, which when the user inputs those the someProperty is set to some calculation of those two (for example adding them together). What I think I need to do is implement a backing bean for the "addTwo" component and do the calculation there. Then when that is done the composite backing bean needs to access the using page's SomeBean.someProperty setter. How is this done?
    My actual intent is to make a component that looks up an entity in a data base based on a number of user inputs, then set the "someProperty" property to that value. If I could do the above example then I think I can apply the same principle, which is to have the composite component's backing bean access the someProperty property in the using page's bean via a #{cc.attrs.xxx} type reference. Am I on the right track?

    this certainly seems like the place for JSF 2.0 discussions, yes.
    It seems so obvious, was this forum called something else when this was posted perhaps?

  • Schedule parallel activities on different resources for the same period

    Hi,
    I am trying to create a PPM where I need to define parallel activities on different resources for the same time period.
    For example:
    Input prod: P1
    Output prod: O1
    Now I define a dummy activity A1 to define this consumption i.e. 1 PC of P1 gives 1 PC of O1.
    Now I have got 3 resources R1, R2, R3.
    I define 3 activities A2, A3, A4 for these resources.
    Now I have to arrange activities A2, A3, A4 such that they start simultaneouly after activity A1 and also end simultaneouly.
    The Fixed duration for all the resources is 1 week.
    My requirement is that out of these resources system should plan for demand considering the resource with minimum capacity
    i.e. kind of bottleneck resource.
    I am using CTM engine for planning.
    I have defined A1 as predecessor for all the 3 activities A2, A3, A4 and after completion all the activities have a dummy successor activity  S.
    But this setting is not working and PPM is not getting exploded, If I use a normal linear relationship between activities it works fine but my requirement is not getting satisfied.
    Can anyone please help me in this case or suggest some alternate method.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sanjog Mishrikotkar

    Hi,
    You cannot use the old solman key as systems are on different server.
    I think you have to delete the old Dev system and then generate new solman key.

    Feb 8, 2011 10:24:17 AM com.sun.faces.lifecycle.ELResolverInitPhaseListener populateFacesELResolverForJsp
    INFO: JSF1027: [null] The ELResolvers for JSF were not registered with the JSP container.
    I have tried all sorts of combinations of replacing EL2.2 libs in tomcat/lib, putting the libs in WEB-INF/lib, and the context param:
    <context-param>
    <param-name>com.sun.faces.expressionFactory</param-name>
    <param-value>com.sun.el.ExpressionFactoryImpl</param-value>
    </context-param>
    JSF pages seem to work but I'd rather have a clean startup. Please assist. Thx in advance.

    Thx for replying.
    I have jstl-1.2.jar:
         <dependency>
                   <groupId>javax.servlet</groupId>
                   <artifactId>jstl</artifactId>
                   <version>1.2</version>
    <scope>provided</scope>
              </dependency>
    Which version numbers are you referring to in *.xml? The following?
    <web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"
    xmlns:web="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"
    version="2.5">
    <faces-config xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee"

    xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee

  • What is the best resource for Discoverer novice.

    I need direction in this tool. what is the best resource for me to use.

    Hi Ade
    You could do a lot worse than get hold of a copy of the Oracle Discoverer 10g Handbook that I wrote. It will walk you through much of what you need to know. You can find it on amazon.com or via a link from my website: http://learndiscoverer.com/books/books.htm
    Another good resource would be a training class in either the Admin tool or End User tool or both. Oracle Corporation offer excellent training as do many other companies, including mine. Just google Discoverer Training.
    Further resources are the Oracle By Example series on the OTN forum. These are free. You will find the Discoverer lessons here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/discoverer/discoverer_1012/index.html
    Other resources, such as blogs, abound on the web too. Here are some:
    Oracle BI Blog: http://oraclebi.blogspot.com/

  • [SOLVED] X11 error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)

    Both VLC and mplayer are unable to display video (sound is ok). mplayer complains
    X11 error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
    I am able to play the same file with
    mplayer -vo x11
    but no fullscreen with -vo x11 (which is to be expected), and I see no reason why the xv output should not work..
    This is on Dell Latitude D530, intel GM965/GL960. I've switched to arch from gentoo, where it worked, week or two ago.
    Any ideas what can be wrong?

    Have you tried any other video outputs? See 'mplayer -vo help' for the list.
    Try mpv, mplayer's cousin.
    Does it happen only with one file? Run mediainfo on it.
    Edit: Are you using SNA or UXA?
    Compare version numbers and configs of the respective packages of gentoo and Arch. Only what's to blame - the drivers?

  • "Missing signed entry in resource" for only some users

    Hi,
    I have recently updated my .jnlp file and .jar file and added some extra jar resources in the new jnlp.
    Since this new version, some users receive an error saying
    "Missing signed entry in resource:" for one particular resource.
    While for other users it works fine.
    I have signed the jar with jarsigner.
    Does anyone have an idea what could be the problem here?
    Thanks very much in advance,
    Best regards,
    Stein Aerts,
    University of Leuven, Belgium

    I remember hearing something like this, and had to do with :
    1.) what version of jarsigner was used to sign the jar, and
    2.) what version of JRE was used to validate the signed jar file on the client.
    (including US only vs. International version of JRE)
    For the jar that gets this error:
    Does it have any empty directories in it., or does it have entries with non-english characters in the resource names ?
    What version of the JDK was used to run jarsigner to sign this jar, and what jre is the application running on ?
