Why can't I restore from my iclould after my phone kept shutting off due to panic lists?

Oh, that. Yeah, I've done it when I got the printer. Thanks. But the ePrint is not the same as the Wireless printing. Firstly, I have to go through the hassle of sending an email and secondly, when I email the document to the printer, it takes 2 pages to print it out, whereas the Wireless only takes 1 page. So it's not only about saving the time, but also the paper and the colour.
This is driving me crazy. I am pretty sure that all the features've been set properly. The printer is connected to the same internet (Magnet****) as my i-phone and the computer. (Just with a little difference - the computer is connected to the internet router by a wire, the printer is connected wirelessly.) Both the lights on the front of the printer (Wireless, ePrint) are on continuously. The printer accepts all the printing jobs from my computer as well as all the ePrint jobs. Only my i-phone keeps telling me that there've been No AirPrint Printers Found. Even though it has worked. I really can't think of anything to fix it. Can you? Please?
    Thank you, Georgina.

  • Hello everybody. After Mavericks reinstall, my shut off time is longer than it was.

Hello. About a week ago I reinstalled the Mavericks,  prior I use to have 2-3 seconds shut off time, I have now 12 seconds. I am using now OS X 10.9.2 version, Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina 15. The reason why I made the reinstall: I didnt knew that in order to use win 7 I dont have to install it via Boot Camp. After I have installed win 7 via Boot Camp I also installed Parallels version 9, used it in trial mode, worked awesome. Meanwhile I wanted to make free the partition that Ive used for win 7 via Boot Camp (70 gb), because Ive realized that it is not needed for me to run win 7. Stupid me, I didnt delete it via Boot Camp, bottom line is that I was not able to delete it at all, Ive tried from recovery mode, disk manager, was not able to delete the partition. At the moment I still had a very good shut off time, about 2-3 seconds, everything was ok despite of the fact that I was not able to access the 70 gb. I have now a boot time of 11-12 seconds, not bad but this time was also shorter prior reinstall. Ive dowwnload the OS X from apple store, made a bootable usb drive using DiskMakerX. Booting from this usb drive I was able finally to erase the entire drive and made the reinstall. I am using now parallels version 8 instead of 9, because I had an activation key for version 8, works fine. So, I would say that my longer shut off time is not affected by me using parallels 8. I tried to repair the disk from recovery mode, didnt changed my shut off time, made the smc reset and also made pram reset. Nothing helped. What is there to do, how can I have the same very short shut off time? I rarely turn off the mac, but still this is very annoying. Thank you for reading, waiting for ideas and advices.

Not sure but it looks like Mavericks writes a lot more info on shutdown than the older Mac OS X versions were doing.  With some more apps it has more to keep track of and setup for restart.
With the Windows material, the system could also be trying to track that info in a different way now.  It is always very complex when there are different OSs and partitions to track.
After it settles down for a few days, you might want to look at your setup and see if you need to do some houskeeping chores...but definitely not with cleaning software as that causes all kinds of problems.  Just look at the cleaning tasks you can do with Mac OS X itself to organize and remove cookies, etc.

  • My iPod Touch (1stGen) won't charge ... After plugged in, it shuts off.

Two days ago, my iPod Touch stopped charging using either computer, AC adapter or the iHome system. Whenever its plugged in, it would begin to charge (with the lightning bolt), but stops and shuts off minutes later . There are other times where it will hold the charging position an hour, but when I unplug, theres no charge (still 10%). I never had any issues with it before. I did the reset several times to no avail. I tried cleaning it ... no luck. Today, it got worse, now it wont even turn on ... I would plug it up and it will show the battery power being charged, but shuts off after seconds! Could it be a battery replacement issue?

I have tried all the same steps. First a Bose home system that the IPod touch (8G first generation) sits on, then my computer now an AC adaptor. It also appears to charge (lightning bolt displays) then shuts off after a couple minutes. I have preformed a reset and the problem still exists.
    Does anyone have a resolution?

  • New Exchange Migration Does Not Work Properly After Old Exchange Services Shut Off

Moved Exchange 2013 SP1 mailboxes, system mailboxes, public folders and OAB to new server with Exchange 2013 SP1. Followed all the suggestions here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1bdf67a1-ad0e-4e96-922f-3778d6bd8e98/move-exchange-2013-to-new-virtual-server-including-settings?forum=exchangesvrdeploy
Problem is when we shut off the old exchange server services, no mail flows and can not reach OWA. It seems as though the servers are "coexisting". I say coexisting because all the firewall rules point to the new server, all the settings in ECA/ECP
point to the new server, all the DNS records point to the new server. We need to be able to run exchange on the new server without the old server running. Is there something I left off?

I would hold up on decomming the old environment until you make sure you have all the dependencies removed from it.  I have done a number of migrations to 2013 and I always shutdown the old environment for atleast a day to make sure I caught everything.
When you say you can't reach OWA is that internally or externally?  As for the mail flow thing, I think you might need to check your send connectors and receive connectors. These don't get created/updated
with  Also, if you have a 3rd party hygiene solution (like a postini or mimecast) you will need to contact them and have them allow the new public IP for the Exchange 2013 environment (or setup a NAT Rule that translates old public IP to new Exchange
    Server. )
Ok, i turned off the old server and email DOES flow to and from intranet/internet. And i can get to most OWA pages. However, there is at least one that i can not make it to. We host email here and every domain has this syntax:
    https://mail.theirdomainhere.tld
Like i said, the external DNS records for this particular domain does reflect the public ip of our router. Our router then sends that connection to the new exchange server.

  • Imac intel won't restart, I get gray screen and spinning wheel then shut off

My imac intel only restart after running disk utility, otherwise I get a gray screen with apple logo and spinning wheel then after about 2min it shuts off.  this all started after a power outage.  I have tried everything that I have read online to fix this, it seems doing a clean install is last resort. Does anyone have any other options for me?

    nessman wrote:
I have tried disconnecting the periperals, restarting in "safe boot", resetting the pram and I tried starting up in single user mode.  It will only start up if I start up from the original gray 10.4 start up disk and run "repair disk"....I get errors including "The underlying task reported failure on exit".  I then eject the disk and restart and it works fine but if I have to shut down or restart for any reason it's back to the gray screen.
Your system profile confirms you are using OS 10.5.8.  Boot up from your OS 10.5.x install dvd.  Use the "repair disk" setting.  If you get the same error, then run Apple Hardware Test from your original system dvd.

  • Time machine would back up only the first time after I shut off my imac and started it up again.  Then it would fail or claim it could not locate my external Hard Drive even though it's icon was showing in the time machine dialog window.

Time machine only ever backed up the first time it runs immediately after I start up my computer after it has been shut off.  All other back up attemps fail.  Recently it stopped recognizing the icon for my external hard drive in the time machine dialog window where you select the hard drive to back up to, and turn on and off the time machine function.  Now the external HD icon only shows up on the desk top but no longer in the dialog box. I just tried shutting the computer off and turning it on again and now the light is on, on the external hard drive but the icon does not even appear on the desk top.
The external hard drive is a 1TB Seagate. The drive still has plenty of unused capacity.  I ran a diagnostic test on it. It said the disk needed repair but the repair function would not work. The message stated that it could not be unmounted and repair is not available because the disk can't be written to. The Mac OX utility said the disk can still be opened but can't be changed nor repaired.  The external HD is not S.M.A.R.T. supported.
I haven't tried replacing the cable yet. Is that the next thing I should try?

What Mac OSX version are your running ("iOS" as shown in your profile cannot run on a Mac computer)?

  • TouchSmart 610-1115uk Randomly Shuts Off Without Warning

i have had this TouchSmart for about 2 years now and it is in immaculate condition. physically apart from dust, which i clean out regularly, you'd be mistaken for thinking it was new. in terms of operation i have always been careful to look after it too, running regular scans of the HDD and hardware, updating drivers and being careful when it comes to what i download.
i have recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro x64 (within the last 2 months) but didn't do a clean install, i simply upgraded from Windows 7 Pro x64, and to be honest after a few tweaks the computer was working better than ever, it was faster both running programs and in terms of startup time, and graphics looked better than ever.
then about 2 weeks ago it just shut off without warning, not shut down like if you'd asked it to, but just went blank like loss of power, i powered it up and it didn't do it again for quite a while and so i assumed it was a one off. but it soon started doing it regular. i've gone through every thing i can possibly think of trying to diagnose what the problem is, i've checked all wires and connectors, cleaned out all dust and checked for overheating, updated drivers, removed the extra RAM i'd installed not long after purchase, wiped the system and reinstalled Windows 8 from scratch, deactivated Threading on the CPU, and have reduced power to the CPU down to 50%.
this last action did reduce the frequency of the shut off issue significantly but it just seems completely random, i can be running any number of programs and it can work fine for hours, and then i can be doing nothing on it and it will just die.
i have run no end of diagnostics on it and they all say everything is fine, no viruses, no errors and no build up of heat (i've monitored the temperature rise when running and it never gets over 40 now with the CPU power turned down).
please can someone tell me if i'm missing anything, and if i can solve this without HP as my warranty ran out a few months ago, thank you.
updated: the shut off problem seems to occur more often when the computer isn't really having to process very much like when it is left idle or when i'm just using the internet, whereas if i play a game or use a resource hungry application it rarely happens.

I'm going to reply here just in case someone else happens upon this post and wants a definite answer like I did...
    My Problem
My computer randomly shut down as if the power had gone out. I didn't shut it down on purpose, hit a button, put it to sleep nor was it running updates and needed to restart... it simply, shut off.  It shut off much like the power goes out in a home, however all of my lamps and other electronics in my room were on. It was only my computer that shut down.
I followed a lot of advice in the forums and it did turn back on a few times but only for a few minutes before turning off and never coming back on.
I feared it would be the motherboard but a friend informed me it could be the Power Supply (the brick) and I saw THIS post and thought... it has to be that... or at least I HOPED it was that... or I was switching to Mac.
Never heard a response back to my reply to this post, and I didn't see a follow up to the guy above seeing if it worked for him.
    The Solution
I decided to go ahead and purchase the power supply part for my computer which is the HP TouchSmart 610-1130f All-in-One series. It needed to be a 150W (hard to find but is sold in the HP Parts store).
This is the part info: 609919-001   In stock   Powersupply - Madeline-R 150W 19V EPS2.0 Shasta
Upon receiving the part and plugging it into my computer, it worked. That was 9 hours ago (currently using fixed computer) and it is running just fine. I'm STILL holding my breath and hoping it doesn't go out again. If it does I will come back to the forum and let everyone know.
Hopefully I won't be back again in 2 years to purchase a new part. Lucky it wasn't something worse like the motherboard... having a computer that only lasts 2 years?
Anyways. Thought you should know random person reading this. Best of luck.

  • New iMac is buzzing with power on or shut off

I purchased my new iMac on 4/26 and turned it on everything was great.  Let it go into sleep mode overnight and the next evening it was buzzing quite loudly, interfereing.  I tried shutting it down, still buzzing, power source removed no muzzing any more.  I know electronics have buzzing sounds but after having the computer shut off for 24 hours the buzzing went away, only to come back after the computer had been on for 30 minutes.  Is it possible this is just a defective machine?  If i exchange it will it happen again?  could the electricity in my home caused the buzzing?

No iMac should produce a buzzing sound.
    Yes, it's possible there's a defect.

  • Intel iMac shutting off suddenly, not coming back for hours

    Hello,
Last night my iMac suddenly shut off; I tried for about twenty minutes to turn it back on (I tried the power button, unplugging and replugging, changing outlets...), then gave up. This morning I tried it and it worked just fine, but after several hours it shut off again. That was about three hours ago and it hasn't come back yet. Curiously it shut off right before iSight was going to snap a picture in Photo Booth, and I just can't remember if that's when it happened last night too...
    Any help?

Sounds like an overheating problem. You could try to reset the SMC and see if that helps, if not it probably needs to go to the shop.

  • MacBook Pro shuts off

    Hi everyone,
    i have a MacBook Pro 15" 2.53 ghz mid 2009 with mavericks.
For the past year or so I had the service battery icon which I ignored due to busy schedule and being mostly connected to a power line.
Since yesterday it started shutting down by itself and when I try to turn it back on, seconds after the login, it shuts off. The battery lights on the side shows that it's not charging, there's only a blinking one. Until yesterday it was fine ish, it could only last a couple of hours but was working perfectly fine.
Could it be only a battery problem? Wouldn't it turn on when plugged in even if the battery is dead?
Of course it happened while I'm traveling and not home, and here there are no apple stores, I can fix it myself, but I would like to know if it could be just the battery or something more serious before opening the wallet.
I would try some troubleshoot if it could just stay on a bit.

    Hello michael847tt,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
As far as troubleshooting an issue with charging a battery on a MacBook Pro, the best thing you can do is reset the SMC.  If the issue persists after resetting the SMC, then there could be an issue with the battery, charger, or charging port.

Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch.  So, I replace them.  I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings".  I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds.  I have used itunes to restore and also recover.  Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer.  The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not.  Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged.  Any thoughts?

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
      - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem. Maybe you installed a bad component or damaged something during the repair/replacement.
Apple will not help since you worked on the iPod yourself.
