Restore sorting in tableRowSorter after TableModel update

Hi,
I have successfully added a tableRowSorter to my tables, everything works fine until I update the table model. Then the sorting is reseted and I need to click the column header again to sort my table. Is there some way to
(a) Have the table resort itself whenever a change is made to the table model (its a small table with few changes).
(b) Call some method / fire some event to "manually" resort the table.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Then you are doing something wrong. The table should resort automatically.
Read the JTable API and follow the link to the Swing tutorial on "How to Use Tables" which has a working example of the table sorter that works correctly.

N73: restore doesn't work after firmware update

Hello!
I just made a firmware update to my N73 with NSU, and the procedure completed with no errors.
Just before the update I made a backup with the application in the phone menu; the app wrote a backup.arc file in the MMC.
After the update I tried to restore the backup via the same app.
Here's the problem: the app seems to work (but the "restore" lasts just 1-2 seconds), the phone reboots, but nothing is restored.
Googleing aroung I found a solution: buy the Noki 1.7 software, extract SMS, contacts and files from the backup.arc, and put everything back on the phone...
Is there another solution that doesn't involve buying this 3rd party software?

I have been searching in internet, and there'a a lot of people with the same problem. Everybody tells to use PC Suite to backup... if I only knew before.

Restore file not compatible after software update

I have recently done a software repair to my Z1 after experiencing issues with my audio experience. Before the update I done the backup of data, after successfully updating, I continued to do the restore and an error came up that the restore file was incompatible with this new version of software... I didn't pay it any mind until recently, I had all my contacts syncd to my gmail, when I did a factory reset and restore for a Sony ST27i the backup was successful but the restore never restored anything back to the device...

Sorry to hear this however what you can do if you have media files backed up that you need is to locate the .dbk backup file and change the extension to .zip or .rar and then extract the contents

How can i restore all my documents after the update?

my brother has lost all his documents and everything after updating from the snow leapord, to the mavericks

You cannot. However, your iCloud backup will be available to you in the current release of iOS (7.0.2).

How do you restore your ipod touch after an update

After updating my ipod touch with IOS 6, i am not able to get my ipod to get past a screen that says to pluc into itunes via a usb cable. I plugged in and still have not been able to get past the screen. I ran through ipod troubleshooting, made sure I updated itunes and can not determine why I it won't get past the above screen. I am unable to restore my previous session after an update to the latest Firefox version.

I was alerted of my available update so I let the update run, came back to the Firefox home page and saw the "Restore previous session" button. I clicked on it and it started to download my update all over again. I tried this again as I thought maybe I had hit a wrong button but it continued to keep re-loading Firefox. I went under history to attempt to restore previous session from there but the option is not available. I had a lot of tabs saved, is there anyway I can restore and get them back?

Restore Previous Session should be an option available under the History options:

If that only restores your last (update) session, you might be out of luck.
Since I'm constantly browsing a PLETHORA of tabs, and don't like to re-bookmark all of them, AND still have them persist a FF restart, I use Session Manager:

It also has a "backup" feature, which backs up your current session every "x" minutes.

Calendar restore to bb fails after software update

I did the current update on my bb and then during the restore process, the calendar will not reinstall. I get a message that 'database was not restored' I'm using BB Desktop Manager for Mac to sync my BB.
Any suggestions how to fix this?

E90 restore of backup fails after software update

after upgrading to the latest firmware yesterday I had to discover that restoring the backup does not work.
there are applications missing, and what's worse - the whole calender data has not been restored.
any hints how I can get to that data? i've alredy tried to find a way to decompose the backup file (any hints on that - a php program I found doesn't properly work)
this is really flawed - I suspect it may have to do with the fact I had self-signed stuff on the device?
the lonelycatgames software was lost too, have they forgotten to include a correct backup_registration.xml file ??

I recieved my registration key for Noki and I was able to extract all of my 891 calendar entries from the .nbu backup file to .txt, .xls, and .vcs formats (thank god).
The Excel format is pretty useful since atleast I can easily view all of my upcoming entries.
But I'd still want to be able to somehow import these entries back to my phone all at once.
Anyway even for people without this problem I'd recommend Noki for anyone who has lots of important notes in his phones Memo or lots of important calendar entries and who would like to get readable backups of these on their PC.
You could even make your own web interface for viewing your notes or calendar entries if you exported the data from a nokia backup to xls. You could use the excel file with PHP or you could import the excel file in an SQL database with phpMyAdmin (or convert it to CSV first with Excel or OpenOffice Calc and then import to SQL).

This restored my missing apps after belle update (...

I see a few people with missing Apps after installing Belle, so as I seem to have stumbled upon a solution I thought I'd post it to help a few people out.
I removed my memory card and then reran the Belle installation process from Nokia Suite.
All the apps that were missing after the several previous times I ran the update, are now on my phone.
Hope this works for a few other people too!

Had to restore iPad2 from itunes after IOS8 update with no option to restore from icloud backup.

since i lost everything on my ipad due to the IOS8 update, i thought i'd try to do a manual restore from my icloud backup, but the only backup listed is one from the day i did the update/restore. i'm pretty sure it's not going to help me recover everything that i lost since it's only 1.8gb. i know my ipad backed up to the cloud every couple of weeks when i charged it, so shouldn't there be other backup dates available? also, when i go to settings>icloud>manage storage>ipad, the backup options list every app i had on my ipad before the update/restore, but those apps are no longer on my ipad, so i'm not sure why they're listed in the backup options. apparently i can't even contact apple to help with this issue without paying $20, and i live 2 hours away from the closest apple store. any thoughts?

My philosophy is if you lost everything already anyway, you have nothing to lose by restoring the iCloud backup at this point. Besides, your apps will download from iCloud, if you were truly backing up with iCloud and not using iTunes. Apps are not part of the backup, app data is.
I would give it a try. If it doesn't work out, you are no worse off than you are now. But - your apps should still all download from the cloud even if the data is gone.

IPad 2 stuck on RESTORE (not recovery) mode after iOS7 update

My update to iOS7 seemed to go OK, now I got to "Restore from backup/iTunes" and here's where things turned sour. I actually SAW glimpses of iOS7 on the iPad and went through the Hello screen and WiFi setup etc.
It's now stuck on the black screen with white Apple in the middle and little white line progress bar under it - but that progress bar has only made it about 1/8 of the way to the end and seems completely froozen. It's not a 500TB iPad - this should only take a few minutes at most. something is wrong.
The only USB items I have connected are my keyboard and iPad 2 - nothing else. And they are direct into the Mac.
So yea, updating to iOS7 bricked my iPad.

It took multiple attempts but this finally just resolved itself. go figure.

I cant belive this, i know alot of people are saying well you must be a bit thick not to make a backup but i dont expect this sort of thing to happen, my first problem in 3-4 years, i have lost everything. truly gutted. thanks Apple.

Sorry, im annoyed and angry, i wanted the answer to what has caused this but like you said no one here would know on an Apple Support Community, "this has been reported since the very first iOS update". Apple hasnt adapted much then has it. i dont think i had to many valuable pictures, its more that i now have to **** about downloading like over 100 apps get peoples numbers again etc etc. dont remember anything like this with the good old nokia 3310, what happened to sims remembering my numbers??

ITunes error -1 when restoring iPhone from backup after iOS5 update

If no one can help me fix this hopefully somebody might at least be able to tell me what -1 error means!
I have an iPhone 3GS and before i updated to iOS5 i upgraded my itunes on my Mac and synced and backed up everything. I did the iOS5 update which went fine and i have it installed on my phone. When i went to restore from backup it looked like it was working for 2mins then it comes up with the error message saying unable to restore from backup (-1). I have done this a good few times now all with the same result. Any suggestions? Everything has been completely wiped from my phone and im desperate to get it all back.

when you have your phone plugged into itunes on the computer, right-click on the name of your phone on the left-hand side and select 'restore from backup'
