Retention department not honoring contract

I called the Retention Department in July because I knew my contract term was expiring and my "introductory rate" was going to expire.  I spoke with Efram and he told me the increase would be approximately $80 per month.  I, of course, told him this was unacceptable and after many back and forths, we settled on an increase of $18 per month with no changes in my service.  Two months later I received my bill and the increase of $80 was what I found.  I called customer service and was told that there was no documentation of any conversation with Efram in July.  I subsequently spoke with Brian, a supervisor in Retention, who also told me that there were no notes from conversation with Efram.  I had taken notes however, and rattled off all of the details that Efram had given me to which Brian responded that "that offer does not exist " and he cannot offer it to me.  He could however decrease my services to get me to that rate or he can keep my services the same which would be an increase of $40 per month.  He went on further to tell me that offers change all the time - to this I suggested to him then that the offer that Efram gave me back in July probably did exist then in July and that AT&T should honor it - his answer was "NO".  This is AT&T's mistake and I am paying the price for it- they should train their CS people better and give their supervisor's the authority to make decisions that will retain customers - especially if you work in the Retention Department.  Stand by your offer, AT&T!

I was told I would be getting 15 gig plan and she also said we could add 1 gig of bonus data for a total of 16 gig, the plan would also be 2 smartphones for $136.  I then had to leave tht chat session.  A few hours later I contacted the live chat again.  This time chatting with Lyndsey.  i then asked her about what Taelor had said and she also confirmed the plan and told me I could also get the s5 pro owned phone for $99 and the Galaxy note 3 pre owned $99 phone with the 1 year contract however I would have to call as she could not do sales.  Well I just got off the phone with Verizon and they would not honor one bit of that agreement even though the lady on the phone (very nice lady by the way) could read exactly what Taelor and Lyndsey both said in our chat session.  I thanked her but I'm going to most likely be moving on to sprint and get unlimited everything for my wife and I at $60 each.  My sister and her family and my brother in law and his family live in the same area and say they have great service and Internet as I know with sprint that can be a concern.  Too bad because I really like Verizon.

    I have had an S5 for about 6 months and have hated at least 23 of those weeks.  A couple of weeks ago I signed onto chat to find out my options:
    first agent, before she even answered my question as to my options, proceeded to tell me that if I changed my plan that I would save xz&y.  I stated that while that sounded good, I wanted to sort out my phone problems first.  While I was waiting for her reply, I got a text message notifying me that a change on my account had been made.  I immediately stated in the chat that I had not authorized an account change and that before they had permission to do anything I wanted to know about my phone options.  STRANGELY, the chat got cut off.   WT$%^*
    I copied the chat and initiated another session.  A new rep comes on and I paste the previous chat into the window and inform her that no change was authorized, and while the change may make sense I want to understand what options I have for getting a new device.  She apologized and then gave me my options: 1) buy a new no-contract phone at $750, 2)pay the ETF (prorated to around $250) and then either go onto a new 2 yr contract or go onto an edge contract.  I said I will go with option 2.  At which point she told me that I would have to go to the store to do the phone transaction but that she would review my plan options.  We reviewed the options and I agreed to make the changes.
    now I go into the closest VW store and after waiting for 30 minutes for service and another 30 of explaining and the rep talking with her manager, they tell me that they will not honor that.  They will allow me to pay the ETF and go to a different device but I will lose my phone number.
    So of these options is true:
    Chat Reps are not trained properly, or
    Chat Reps are intentionally misleading customers, or
    Local stores are not trained properly, or
    Local stores are refusing to follow VW agreements.
    Which ever is a problem.  My options are pay $750 or move my accounts to another carrier.  Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Hi I have a 1 year promotion that ended a few days ago. It was the performance 25mbps internet plan with blast internet for 44.99. I called the retentions department to ask if they would be able to keep me with the same plan and price for another year and was told by their supervison it was an OK. The representive promised 44,99 a month for another year and also included a basic cable TV. I just received my bill today and it shows that I am paying 71.95 a month now and not the price I was promised which is suppose to be 44.99. I am curious whether or not the retentions department lied to me to keep me with comcast... need some help here to get this sorted out...

  • Complaint against the retention department- Billing

    I have been a long time customer with AT&T.  I recently, three maybe four months ago took advantage of my upgrade to the new Samsung S6 phone.  I have never had any problems with my phones in the pass.  This new device was just not working.  Then I spoke with representatives in the retention department just about every 10-13 days notifying them of the problems I was having with my new phone. So Mr. Frank a manager in retention stated that he could save me $20/month on my account. I asked if my plan have to change. He stated "no" he saw that I was paying $30/month for unlimited talk and text and he can take $20 off since I have 2 phones.  Not knowing that he changed my data plan. So last month my bill was increased $114 over for overages for talk/ I spoke to a Zackary on July 7, 2015, I explain my problem with my bill he assured me that the bill will be taken care of and was there anything else he can do.  I then went on to explain the problems that I have had with my phone. He then offered a free upgrade.  He asked me what phone I wanted I said the Samsung Note 4 edge. He then that he suggested that I should go with the NOTE 4 not the edge. I told him ok.  The next day I checked my account saw that my account was not credited for the $114.  After talking to a Yolanda and Nicollentia Johnson, Lakeia was the only representative that took the time to hepl me. Lakeia assured me that my account would be credited and it was. So once i received the Samsung Note 4 on July 10, 2015, and took it to the At&t store to activate my phone, I then asked the Representative what was the difference between the edge and the regular note 4 she stated that the edge is the newer model and that if it was her she would ask for the edge since that did a free upgrade to the NOTE 4. I called retention talked to Amber and she stated my account would be billed $99 I told her no I was told that it was a free upgrade.  I was told that it would be credited once At&t receive my Samsung s6. So when I received my terms and conditions I called back again to verified that i would not be responsible for the $199 and was told no… I talked to a Elisa.  She assured me that once both the Note 4 and the Samsung s6 was return it would be nothing added to my account.  On July 27, 2015 I talked to a Madison about my account billing for the month of August, i was charged for the $99, $199, $80 for upgrade fees/ so my bill is over $568 who said there was nothing she can do about my bill.  ...I asked if a manger could call me. I never received a call back. I call July 28, 2015, talked to a Alan in retention who had me on hold for 15mins if not longer and then was disconnected, called back talk to a Brianna who was very helpful she took her time to go through all my notes but then told me that my account was flag to not apply any credits. She stated that this was wrong and was trying to get a manger on the phone to go over my notes. I was then disconnected from her.  I called back and talked to a Latonia who told me that she will have a manager by the name of Deavanie call me back.  I requested that a supervisor review the phone calls from July 7 till now.  Retention has made it very difficult for me to get help.  Some of the people are not documenting what they are advising the customer on the phone therefore flagging me.  I don’t appreciate the help or the lack of I have received.  All I want at this point of time is for my bill to be corrected. My bill should be no more than $160/month. I have a working phone finally.  SO PLEASE HELP!

     On 6/22 i contacted a Mrs. Coleman in Retention Dept. to discuss whether we would stay with uverse.  After about a 30+ minute discussion she talked with her supervisor and made me an offer I accepted.   She offered to KEEP our bill as it had been last year...authorizing an extra 2 free receivers.  This could NOT be added until the discount on account was up so I was to call back July 1 which i did.CONVERSATION RESULTS:
    UVERSE OFFER 6/22/15contacted RETENTION talked with Mrs. COLEMAN  very nicerenewed TV300maxturbo net       for 119 same as last yearshe gave 50$ in discounts and I am to call in July 1 to get the 2 extra free receivers...this ws promised.now it stands at 137 with the 2 receivers until the new discount can be added#1785327790A xfinity with comcast offers99$/mo50mbp net220 channels which includes encore westernplus 100$ visa card2 yrs. agreement OF COURSE ON THIS PHONE CALL I COULD NOT REACH MRS. COLEMAN.  AND THE PERSON ON THE LINE WOULD NOT HONOR THE OFFER.  I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 3 MORE TIMES 7/9 TO BRAD IN KY, 7/19 TO LAURA IN SC AND ANOTHER CALL TO EVAN.  I HAVE TALKED WITH NUMEROUS REPS IN THE RETENTION DEPT.  I WAS GIVEN A PHONE NUMBER FOR A COMPLAINT DEPT BUT NO ONE CALLED ME BACK.I FINALLY WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CONTACT MRS. COLEMAN  IN THE TEXAS OFFICE VIA EMAIL AND TELL HER TO CONTACT ME.THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A MONTH.  PLEASE HELP IN GETTING WHAT I WAS PROMISED .  WE ARE GOOD UVERSE CUSTOMERS AND WE SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH.

     I recently decided to leave and go to **,,,, BT's retention department saying "The other service provider" couldn't offer me more speed than they could!
    This was not due to some ill informed member of staff as they told me the same a year ago and like a fool I believed them then (I have since done some research)
    I live close to my exchange and potentially could sync at 8mbs but BT throtteled my line (without telling me for 6 months or so) to 1Mbs. So I decided to go to ** who have far less draconian download limits on their top package. (people are downloading 200gb+ with no problems)
    Recently my neigbour also left BT and now gets 16mbs connection (from **)  with no throtteling for less money!!!!!!
    And I will soon be joining them!
    ... its good that they are being forced to open up their 'channels' so some decent companies can put in something better than the antiquated copper rubbish we have to use now.
    'Unlimited package' = obvioulsy limited to 100GB!
    BT = fail..... I am never coming back.

    I'm afraid the video is extremely misleading. It actually gives no details at all. Like has the user gone passed the "100GB" throttling scenario, or just different line conditions altogether. The video or comments don't say what speed they think they should get with each connection.
    In fact, the speedtest on the left virtually indicates that the connection is a fixed 1Mbps line - though the upload speed is higher that 288 for fixed service. The BE line is clearly a different line at a different speed - so the comparison is frankly worthless.
    I tried the Adobe d/l and got full pace at my connection speed. Of course, need to test at 6:51pm to compare.

  • Pages '08 Export does not honor the "Hide extension" checkbox

    I have noticed that Pages '08, even with the latest update (3.0.3), does not honor the state of the "Hide extension" checkbox in the Export save dialog (or "sheet" that slides out from the title bar). Specifically, I have seen this happen when exporting to Word. When un-checking the "Hide extension" checkbox, the filename is displayed in the dialog with the .doc extension, but the file appears in the save folder (anywhere in the file system) without the .doc extension until I do a Get Info on the file and un-check Hide Extension in the Name & Extension section.
    This is really annoying because I hate automatic hiding of file extensions in general, and I find it unacceptable with any kind of MS Office docs because my Windows-using colleagues can't seem to cope without a file extension they recognize.
    Also note that this does not seem to affect the Save or Save As dialogs in Pages '08, only the Export save dialog. I can create a regular Pages document, do a Save As, uncheck Hide Extension, and I'll see the document show up in the file system with the .pages extension.
    Is this a known bug in Pages '08? I can't find any mention of it in the forums. I also want to know if this is fixed in Pages '09. I've been looking for a way to report this as a bug, but am not having much luck.

    Turning OFF the virus and windows firewall didn't improve the situation.
    I still receive the same error message

    Both turn to update but same error message as above.

  • Photoshop File with Layered Set to Multiply Not Honored in InDesign CS3

    I am placing a PSD file from Photoshop CS3, that has a reflection/shadow layer set to Multiply with an additional layer of the model set to Normal within Photoshop. When I place this PSD in InDesign CS3, the Multiply inside of the Photoshop file is not honored.
    Is this Normal Behavior?

    I've encountered this same problem in CS3, and for the life of me, I thought I remember in CS2 that the layers were indeed honored--hence the advantage of using native PSD files in InDesign. This was so any effects (transparency or otherwise) would be carried over in the InDesign file, therefore removing the limitations of using legacy formats like TIFF or EPS, which did not allow this type of dynamic workflow.
    Give us your thoughts on this, as it has hindered a couple of jobs in CS3 which required the effects exactly as explained above by the OP.

    In SPRO - IMG - MM - Purchasing - Define tolerance limit for archiving. In this maintain the residence time 1 & residence time 2 for the Purchasinh doc type & also with item category also.
    Define Tolerance Limit for Archiving
    In this step, you specify how long external purchasing documents are retained unchanged in the database before being archived.
    You can define two time periods, via which you control the archiving of the documents:
    Residence time 1 for items without a deletion indicator
    Before the deletion indicator is set for a document item, the system checks when the relevant item was last changed. In the process, a change in the PO quantity is taken into account in just the same way as a goods receipt, for example.
    The date of the last change is compared with the current date. If no change has been made within the residence time 1 entered , the deletion indicator is set for the item.
    Residence time 2 for items with a deletion indicator
    For document items for which the deletion indicator was set manually or during the archiving run, the system checks how many days have elapsed since the deletion indicator was set.
    The whole document is only archived if:
    The deletion indicator has been set for all items of the document
    None of the items have been changed during the residence time 2 entered - i.e. the last change is the setting of the deletion
    The archived documents are then deleted from the database.

    Why does Illustrator CS6 not honor the Mac system setting for Full Keyboard Access? Under System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts, I have Full Keyboard Access set to allow the Tab key to cycle between "Text boxes and lists only". But Illustrator allows the Tab key to focus on all controls, including buttons. Is there a setting somewhere in Illustrator to change this behavior?

    You can try to edit the keyboard file, but you need to find out the code for the Danish keys.

    ATP based on planning data.
    Planning completes OK and shows enough supply (in planning workbench).
    ATP plan based on Bill of Distribution defined like this:
    Source for ORG1 is ORG2 ->
    Source for ORG2 is ORG3 ->
    Source for ORG3 is Supplier
    When inquiring ATP in ORG1 it considers supply only from ORG2,
    nor ORG3/Supplier.
    Despite the plan contains supply from all orgs.
    Any solution ?

    I think you need to set up a direct relationship between ORG1, ORG3 and the supplier. ORG3 and supplier would be lower ranked options.
    For Example-
    ORG1 from ORG2 rank 1 100%
    ORG1 from ORG3 rank 2 100%
    ORG1 from Supplier rank 3 100%
    The results will also depend on whether the plan is constrained and/or optimized.

    I had released the contract using ME35k.
    When i try to raise a p.o agaist the contract i am getting the error as "Release orders against contract 4600000069 not possible (contract not released)"

    I had released and saved for all the levels i.e for all the release codes.
    Still it is behaving the same.
    I have not used any ref purchase org as mentioned above in one of replies.
