Problem in retrieving Archived Shopping Cart

Current System: SRM 7.0 (SP05)
Archived Documents: SRM 4.0 Documents
We are trying to retrieve some of the SRM 4.0 documents in our upgraded system (SRM 7.0). We have setup the "Advanced Search" of Employee Self Service, access object is good (BBP_FUNCT - READ_ARCH) and able to list the archived documents in the "Advanced Search" result list. When we click on the "Document number" (URL), another window popups for SC Professional Display, then the system throws exception in the popup stating "Object or set with GUID <object guid> does not exist".
When I check the system I can find the Object GUID in transaction SARI and looks good. Any inputs on this?
Archiving Object: BBP_SC
Archive Infostructure: Z_BBP_SC (Custom Shopping Cart Infostructure).

Trouble managing contacts/retrieving archived address book

Sorry if something similar has already been posted, but any help would be greatly appreciated!
Bought an iPhone yesterday. After the initial address book sync, I realized that I didn't need many of the contacts, and manually deleted them from my iPhone. Today I set up additional groups in my address book, and then checked only 3 of these in options to sync with the iPhone. I created an archive of my address book and then synced with the iPhone.
By syncing, everything that I deleted on the iPhone was deleted from my computer's address book. When I try to import the archived address book, it asks me twice if I want to replace, and then only shows one card and no groups (the card shown seems random, it changes every time).
Anyway, is there any way to retrieve the deleted contacts, either from my iPhone or computer? Help!

After the initial sync with a supported address book application on your computer, the sync process for contacts is a bi-directional or true sync process with the supported address book application on your computer.
When you created the Address Book archive with the Address Book on your Mac - at the Address Book menu bar you went to File > Export and selected Address Book Archive?
If so, your entire Address Book should have been archived. When you go to File > Import > Address Book Archive and select the Address Book Archive that you recently exported, only one contact is available?

Yesterday, as today's deadline for filing tax returns approached, I was paralyzed by the inability to create new IRS PDF forms and to retrieve archived ones from a year ago. My computer went crazy. 24 hours later, I am still paralyzed. Can you help?

My computer went crazy yesterday on two occasions involving PDF documents. One dealt with attachments to an email from a bona fide corporation. The other dealt with IRS PDF forms & schedules needed for today's submission.
As both dealt with PDF and had nothing else in common, I suspected my PC had a virus. When I asked a local store technician, he agreed. I turned to Norton, which protects my PC from viruses, and after a few hours of really thorough searching, the computer was found to have no viruses.
Before describing what I call "crazy" computer behavior, you need to know that I have long had IE8 as my default browser but a few weeks ago switched to Mozilla Firefox because IE8 had beome incompatible with some websites from which I get information.
When I received the email from AT&T email service and clicked the first of four icons representing attachments, there was figuratively an explosion on my monitor: a series of new tabs, each called New Tab, burst onto the monitor--but no text or picture. The new tabs appeared faster than I coul kill them. I finally decided just to shut down the computer, hoping they would not reappear when I restarted. I was wrong. After 2 repeats, I decided to forget about the attachments and asked the sender to send them to me by regular mail.
That was no solution for my IRS PDFs. I wanted to complete filling in the various forms and schedules that I had begun months ago so that I could mail them today to the IRS (without having to copy them all in ink). When I tried to open the first one, BOOM. The same thing happened: the blizzard of New Tabs atop blank pages; my IRS form or schedule did not show up. Did the same shutdown/restart routine with the same results.
When I looked at the list of current forms that had to be completed, I noticed something very strange: the icons that began the listing of the documents' names were replaced one by one by Mozilla icons. When I moused over them, they said Firefox HTML. Why?
Starting the day today, I had the same experience. What's more, when I started to retrieve 2012 IRS PDFs from a year ago, the same New Tab tabs appeared and had to be killed, and Mozilla icons replaced whatever icon was there before.
Assuming that the problem arose with Adobe Reader's reading of the PDFs, I contacted Adobe but got no helpful phone number because PDFs are a free service and was directed to use this Forum to get help.
What do I have to do to (a) read and use PDFs in the normal way and (b) remove the Mozilla icon from those that have appeared on icon documents. If Mozilla is the source of the problem, shall I go back to IE8? (In my 80s, I want eventually to replace my old computer but for the time being I must continue using it. It will not take an IE9. Anther possible default browser would be Google Chrome, but I have unfavorable impressions of it because of its intrusiveness, loading my PC with stuff I do not need.

The problem is absolutely not Reader. The problem is that FireFox has stepped in front of Reader and handles all the PDF stuff - wrongly in your case. FireFox is DESIGNED to take over PDF files. But it is not capable of doing IRS forms!
To start with go back to IE for these forms. When you save them to disk DO NOT DOUBLE CLICK ON THEM until this is fixed. Just open the in the normal way - start Adobe Reader and use Open from the File menu.

Archiving MM_EBAN and Special stock

Hi Experts,
I want to do archiving for these 2 objects: EBAN and SP Stock.
Anyone can give details on how to do it for specific plant/company code and period. As I found that in the archiving programs RM06BW30 (EBAN), there's no plant/company code and period paramater in the selection screen, and MMREO020 (SP Stock) there's no period parameter. I compared to RM08RARC (IV), there are company code and document date in the selection screen.

In which Release you are?
RM06BW30 has Plant as parameter in 46c releases, but not anymore in ECC6.
In ECC6 release you should not use RM06BW30 anymore.
You shall use: RM06BV47 (preprocessing) and RM06BW47 (writing). Both have as well the plant as selection parameter.
Best you use always SARA transaction, instead of executing reports.
In ECC6 there is as well a new report for special stock: MMREO020N.
You have a residence time for the batch.

PP Archiving - Retrieve data

Archiving Vendor Master Data with archiving Object FI_ACCPAYB.
Archiving Customer Master Data with archiving Object FI_ACCRECV.
Vendor Master Data -- FI_ACCPAYB:
1. It is dependent archiving object. First you have to archive dependent archiving object such as MM_EINA, FI_DOCUMNT, FI_MONTHLY and MM_EKKO.
2. Vendor Master Data should be flagged for deletion, and there should be no open items for VMD.
3. There are 3 areas in Vendor master data i.e. General data, Company Code data and MM data.
4. You cannot archive company code data and MM data at a time, however you can archive general data and company code data in one archive run and similarly general data and MM data in another archive run.
5. You cannot delete the General data but you can delete the company code data and MM data.
Step to Archive:
SARA > Preprocessing variant > Indicate Vendor that you want to archive > schedule the job.
Create Write Variant --- Enter VMD >Attributes --- Enter the text and SAVE >
> Schedule the Job.
Note: Deletion and Store job is dependent on how you configure the setting in the Archiving object specific customizing- Technical setting.
FI_ACCRECV - Customer Master Data (CMD)
General guidelines are similar to that of Vendor master data but dependent archiving objects are FI_MONTHLY, SD_VBAK, FI_DOCUMNT, SD_VBAK, MM_EBAN, SD_VBRK, MM_EKKO, RV_LIKP, SD_VTTK, SD_VFKK, MM_MATBEL, PPBKFLUSH. You have to archive these archiving object first and then archive customer master data.
Retrieve archived master data:
You can display the archived customer and vendor master data through Archive Information system.
There are SAP Standard Info-Structure. Activate these infostructure, after archiving build the structure then master data will be displayed.

Reg Archive files

I want to know where the archive files will be stored, is it in application server, if i use the function module SUBST_GET_FILE_LIST, can i fetch the files for a particular directory, as i am able to fetch application server files, but i want to know whether i can fetch archive files.

Archived files are normally stored in External storage devises. Generally data which is old and not very frequently acessed is archived, to improve the afficiency of the SAP R/3 system.
Yes you can retreive archived files. There are standard programs to retrieve archived files.
For eg: RM06ER30 to retrieve archided Purchase Documents etc.
a Basis consultant plays the significan role to manage the storage decises such as providing ACESS to the archived data in external storage devises.

Hello friend,
When you are reffering to Financial data, i presume that it is FI_DOCUMNT which is financial accounting documents. WHen it is archived, FI_DOCUMNT can be retrieved by Read Programs, Document relationship browser and Archive Info Structures.
But when retrieving the data from READ program is concerned, the process could be a bit slower as it could be time consuming process. Please note that the Post Processing Program should be executed after the WRITE/ARCHIVE program is executed.This is because the POst processing program helps in maintaining the indices which helps in retrieving the archived data.
If you are aware of any other / different practice, please share it.

Can someone please help me with how to archive news items after 30 days? I still want these news items to be accessable to users. So I guess I need to know 2 things:

This depends on what you call "archived". If you just want news not to be published after a certain date, the Timedependent Publishing Service maybe would be enough for you. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e8/a9a76828b8dc469969ff450ec81ced/frameset.htm
If you want them to move to some "archive" folder (located wherever), you could implement your own SchedulerTasks which regulary check documents if they are "old enough" and then move them into some archive folder.

Problem in reading archiving documents

Dear All,
To see the archived documents, I am clicking on "Data Source" tab in the customer/ vendor/ GL line items execution screen (FBL#N, FBL1N, etc). And thereafter I am selecting Archive tab and pressing enter.
But I am getting a message "Report RFITEMGL is not intended for archiving object FI_DOCUMNT" thereon.
Please help, why I am getting this message.

Hi,
FI documents can be also accessed by transaction FB03. This is standard transaction which is archive enable.
Check few things,
1. Check you have activated and built the infostructure
2. Check for Archive index built
If any one of the above is carried out then FB03 transaction should work.
Comming to Archive information system - "Report RFITEMER is not intended for archiving object FI_DOCUMENT".
When you are using AIS to retrieve archive data then above error should not be appering since archive structure retrieves the data from custom program when the infostructure is activated.
To overcome this please try with below process and post your output
1. Delete the structure of FI_DOCUMNT - Path > SARI > FI_DOCUMNT > Status > Delete Status per Infostructure
2. Delete the Infostructure table and program - Path > SARI > Customizing > Enter archive infostructure > Click on utilities > Delete table and Delete Program.
3. Deactivate Infostructure - Path > SARI > Customizing > Archive infostructure > Mention infostrucute > In menu bar click on Archive infostructute > Deactivate
With the above steps you have completely deleted and deactivated Archive infostructure.
1. Now Activate the Infostructure for FI_DOCUMNT - Path > SARI > Customizing > select Infostrucute > Activate it.
2. Build the infostructure
Now with above 2 steps you have reconstructed your infostructure
Retrive archived FI documents from Archive explorer > by selecting activate and built infostructure for FI_DOCUMNT
Doing above process you can see the archived FI documents.
For the User, archive enable transaction FB03 can you help to retrieve the FI documents.
