Hi!
how to retrieve technical settings for existing structure? Is it somewhere in SE11?
Will reward,
Mindaugas.
sorry you are right, it is my mistake - I wanted to create structure, but left radio box as for table... now I have created a table... is it possible to delete this table?

After testing and debugging I found that when they move their database from one server (server2) to another server (server1) the database still using the old name (server2) which you can findusing this script:
SELECT @@SERVERNAME
so the replication can't retrieve information, unfortunately for me it is difficult to rename the server because it sis development server so they need to make analysis about side effects if we renamed it.

"Could not retrieve the settings for endpoint monitoring."
So my VMs are hosed because suddenly Azure cannot retrieve the settings for endpoint monitoring. If I try to start the VMs, it fails for this reason. If I try to configure the VMs, it fails for this reason. When I look at ENDPOINT MONITORING
under CONFIGURE it constantly says "Loading..." This all began when today I tried to switch a VM from STANDARD to BASIC configuration. Now I can't start any VM.Once I powered off the VM there was no starting it again, even after switching back to STANDARD config. Same "Could not retrieve the settings for endpoint monitoring" error every time. I gave up, duplicated the disk, and created a
new VM from scratch, which has no issue with endpoint monitoring. Ridiculous that I had to do that. Azure continues to be as brittle and unreliable as a drunk monkey. -
Table Technical settings for transfer data from developemnt to Quality
Hi All,
Please let me know which table techinical settings required for to transport table with data from development to quality?
Thanks & Regards,
padmaja.Hi,
You do not require technical settings to transport data from dvlpmnt to quality.
However, you can transport any tables entries with a simple trick:
(1) Create a workbench request
(2) Change the request (or its task) and add the following entry: R3TR TABU <name of table> =>
(3) Enter the key values you want to transport, e.g.:
- <client>* for all entries of the current client
- add additional restrictions for the table entry (<client><bukrs>* for all entries of a given company code)

Trying to figure out compression settings for existing video to re-use
So, I had a 3 minute video that, at settings according to the "info" panel" for it is at 720x480, .264 compression setting, and small or big looks great-- I got the file to under 20 megs.
Now, after messing with NTSC settings and whatnot, I tried bringing it back to the original settings with a recut version of the same length, no extra bells and whistles in the video, and yet, I can't get it under 250 megs.
Is there a way to find out the specific settings for it beyond the simple file info window?
Also-- does key frames at a low setting (24-30) affect it greatly?
I just need to get it back to that little size without sacrificing sound or quality-- I did it once, i need to do it again....anyone?

How can i change authentication settings for existing account?
I have an email account from my work server that i have set up as a pop account in Mail. The problem is that the settings have recently been changed on the server and on other accounts but I cant find the same options in the preferences of mail.
What I need to change is requiring authentication on the outgoing mail server (smtp) of username and password. I can find no checkox in preferences enabling this. Our internet provider suggested creating a new account, as in account setup it is possible to check a box for requiring authentication.
If at all possible i would like to keep my existing account.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can do this?
Thankyou! In Mail, Preferences>Accounts. Select the account in question. At the bottom of the pane on the right of the list of accounts you will see 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' where your server details can be entered: underneath this is a button called 'server settings'. Click on this and you can set 'Authentication' to 'password' if neccesary, and enter/change the password for outgoing mail.

Trying to call a Webservice - "Settings for the J2EE Server do not exist."
Hi, we're on SAP ECC 6.0 and I'm trying to get access to a webservice:
BAPI converted to Webservice ok
Webservice activated ok
http active ok
WSADMIN - click on the WSDL button - browser launches, user id requested, userid given, WSDL displays perfect! Even tested from the outside.
WSADMIN - click on the Web service homepage - Settings for WDSL generation (RPC or Document style, same result) - Error - "Settings for the J2EE Server do not exist."
Internet browesr - I go to the URL for the WSDL - works again perfect!
Internet browesr - I go to the URL - error ! <faultstring xml:lang="en">SOAP processing failure, error id = 112 </faultstring>
Are the two errors the same?
Do I have to have a J2EE server to enable Webservices?
Is this a complex system change?
Is there a workaround?
Thanks for any tips on getting Webservice to function
Philiphi,
when the WAS ABAP has a webserver running and the WSDL service up and running (WSDLs are created dynamically) you get the WSDL served from WAS ABAP.
"Webservice homepage" is an application written in Java and running on WAS Java., So, if you want to use that application you have to have a WAS JAVA up and running, you have to have the application 'Webservice homepage' up and running and of course on WAS ABAP you have to have the URL of the WAS JAVA specified to enable the WSADMIN function to link you to the Java app.
Most probably you do not even have a WAS Java running and/or the application 'webservice homepage" not set up. Either way, in my opinion the application "webservice homepage" is crap anyway (because it is not really independent. if SAP implements something strangely on the server side they of course implement it the same way on the client/testing side, so you never find out that in real world scenarios e.g. no client understands the feature X the way SAP implemented it). use any non-SAP-tool to test your SAP webservices, e.g. XML Spy, or SOAPUI.
my 2 cents,

Unable to retrieve settings for this user
Just setting up my new mac mini server for first time. It is updated to Mountain Lion. Setup local network user account with account name same as local short names on other macs (same on all of my mcahines). Then used System Prefs> Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.... to add a server account. Used exact same account info as on server (had both open to view).
Get the message: "unable to retrieve settings for this user"
Turned of firewalls... still not change.
Did search for this problem.... no real helpful responses.
Thought I was following all the basic steps to add a local network user. What am I missing?
ThanksThis message gets thrown if no services are enabled that the wizard wants. Enable calendar, contacts, email, etc and it will connect. This threw me off until I turned on the contact server for the heck of it and it started working.

Is it possible to change settings for an existing sequence?
I am cutting a short "crowd-sourced" class play, shot by parents. I have 4 different types of footage from 4 cameras: Two are 720p (30p), one is a 640x480 .mov and the other was shot in 720p but burned to a PAL DVD so they are .VOB file rips at 25fps, 720 x 576 w/1.2 widescreen. The main camera is an .MTS file (AVCHD 720p)
Since I am planning on ultimately making widescreen NTSC DVD's, I sync'd the cameras in a widescreen-DV sequence, then nested that into a new widescreen-DV sequence and activated the multi-cam. I did all of my actual editing in the new muti-cam sequence - but now I am thinking that I should have started with an AVCHD 720p sequence to sync cameras and just maintained 720p thoughout - until exporting the MPEG-2 file for the DVD.
I can make a new 720p sequence and cut/paste everything from my timeline - but they would still be nested multi-cam cuts that link back to the original widescreen-DV sequenece I setup to sync the 4 cam views. I cannot seem to change the settings for the existing sequence - so is there maybe a workaround for what I am trying to do? Essentially, to trick the new 720p sequence (with all the actual multi-cam edits pasted into it) to linking to a new 720p sequence with the already sync'd cam footage pasted into it? And secondly, will it actually effect the quality of the final DVD output? I may also want to make a 720p web version for Vimeo if feasible...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.I have created the new 720p AVCHD and cut/pasted all of my edits. That is not the problem.
Almost of my edits (other than a few titles amd stil pics I added) are cuts from the original nested sequence called (4-CAM SYNC). It is a regular NTSC widescreen sequence. In this original sequence, I am scaling the the cameras down to fit the frame and sync'ing the four cameras. I am attempting to get this new sequence to link to a new 720p nested sequence that has my sync'd cam footage - to replace 4-CAM SYNC on the time, while still retaining all the edits I have made - I will just have to change some of my scaling settings in a few clips.
It sure would be easier if I could change the "Editing Mode" parameter under Sequence Settings... -
Settings for J2EE Server do not exist
Hi I get the message "Settings for J2EE Server do not exist"
Where can I set them and what has to be entered ?
Regards
sasHi Erdem,
I assume that you get this error message while configuring you web service in ECC.
To make the setting for the J2EE server, go to the WSADMIN transaction, click on "Go To" in the menu above and select "Administration Settings".
You can enter the full URL (upto the port) of your J2EE server in the following format:
http://<<full server name>>:<<port number>>
Hope this helps!

Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
*Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
*IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
Outbound Process
Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
Create Segment ( WE31)
Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
Create Message Type ( WE81)

WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
Try this..Hope this will help.
Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)
5. Ports in Idoc processing(WE21)
6. Generate partner profiles for sending system
The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
Generate outbound partner profiles;
Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>
1. Define IDoc Segment (WE31)
2. Convert Segments into an IDoc type (WE30)
3. Create a Message Type (WE81)
4. Create valid Combination of Message & IDoc type(WE82)
5. Define Processing Code(WE41 for OUT / WE42 for IN)
6. Define Partner Profile(WE20)
Important Transaction Codes:
SALE - IMG ALE Configuration root
WE20 - Manually maintain partner profiles
BD64 - Maintain customer distribution model
BD71 - Distribute customer distribution model
SM59 - Create RFC Destinations
BDM5 - Consistency check (Transaction scenarios)
BD82 - Generate Partner Profiles
BD61 - Activate Change Pointers - Globally

BALE - ALE Distribution Administration
WE05 - IDoc overview
BD87 - Inbound IDoc reprocessing
BD88 - Outbound IDoc reprocessing
BDM2 - IDoc Trace
BDM7 - IDoc Audit Analysis
BD21 - Create IDocs from change pointers
SM58 - Schedule RFC Failures
Basic config for Distributed data:
BD64: Maintain a Distributed Model
BD82: Generate Partner Profile
BD64: Distribute the distribution Model

RSARFCEX - Execute Calls Not Yet Executed
RBDMOIND - Status Conversion with Successful tRFC Execution
RBDMANIN - Start error handling for non-posted IDocs
RBDSTATE - Send Audit Confirmations
FOr testing you can use WE19.
You can directly create an iDoc using some transaction like...
Use TCODE bd10 - to Send Data
and TCODE bd11 - to Get Data
and you can check the IDoc List using TCODE we02.
As you want step by step procedure.
1. Define Logical System and Assign Logical System
TCODE sale
2. Define RFC
TCODE sm59
3. Define Port
TCODE we21
4. Define Partner Profile

Basic Settings for Lifecycle planning
Hello All,
I want to maintain the basic settings of Life Cycle Planning to use Like Profile
Transaction: /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST1 - Lifecycle Planning
My question is; is it a must to use 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO characteristics in our POS?
I have seen the sentence below in OSS note: 354660
**If you are using a characteristic for a product and do not want to use the 9AMATNR characteristic, you must specify the characteristic you would like to use.The 9AMATNR characteristic must exist in the planning object structure if you want to use it as a characteristic for a product.Only then can a LIKE profile be used.In this regard, see the information on the /SAPAPO/FCST_LIKE user parameter in note 350065.**
What I understand from this sentence is that 9AMATNR is not an obligatory characteristic to use in POS for the purpose of life cycle planning.
However when I do not use 9AMATNR I receive such an error message during the maintenance of Basic Settings for Life Cycle Planning.
*Errors have been found in your Customizing settings
*For detailed information, see consulting note #354660
*The basic settings cannot be saved
*Characteristic for product 9AMATNR is not in the planning object structur
So, does anybody know if is it a MUST to keep the 9AMATNR in the POS for lifecycle planning? May be I am doing wrong something else...
Thanks in advanceWhile in DP MPOS you are free to choose custom characteristics for location and product, there are certain DP functionalities like Promotion Planning which normally uses 9AMATNR as characteristic for Product. In such cases the DP MPOS in absence of 9AMATNR has an issue. Through this assignment of location and product in the MPOS, system knows the custom characteristic that needs to be mapped to 9AMATNR and 9ALOCNO for product and location.
This is useful during release from DP to SNP also.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,

Message no. DPR_FIN_GECCO004
System Response
The accounting functions are not available.
Procedure
Check the following in Customizing for Collaboration Projects:
Did you assign an object type to the project type for communicating with the accounting system? See the IMG activity Make General Settings.
Does this object type have the proxy class CL_DPR_OLR3_GECCO (for single-object controlling on internal orders) or CL_DPR_OLR3_WBSELEMENT (for single-object controlling on WBS elements)? See the IMG activity Define Object Types for Object Links.
Has an RFC destination been entered in this object type? See the IMG activity Define Object Types for Object Links.
In the project type did you choose the confirmation setting regarding 'Time Recording for' to match the integration scenario? See the IMG activity Define Project Types. For example, time recording for a role is not permitted in a structure-based scenario.
All the steps mentioned in the in the above error have been verfied and are correct but the error is still existing. Is there anything that I am missing here?Hi SAP USER123 ,

In sql server 2000, what data type do I use for a field that needs to show two decimal places? It is a weight field, so the weight in ounces could be something like 12.25 and it needs to store it this way in the database. I'm kind of new to sql serve
