  • Return link from Answers report

    Hello,
    I have created a report which uses GO URL to pass dimensions as parameters to second report. When user lands on the second report, how can I create a "Return" link to go back to original report?
    Thanks,
    Vivek.

    Put a LINK in that and give the path of original report in the Path section
    or you can use the Guided Navigation Link and put the path as same as above.

  • Return link on OBIEE dashboard page

    When we have a drill down from a dashboard page to a report, we will have a return link on the report to navigate back to the dashboard page.
    But if we are drilling down to another dashboard page, Can we have the OBIEE return link functionality on the target dashboard page to navigate back to the first dashboard page?
    I have tried following options:
    1.When I tried to incorporate this using OBIEE Guided navigation link, navigation is happening with all the filters which is expected.
    2.I tried it with link rather than Guided navigation link, the navigation is happening like the page loading for the first time, hence the user has to re-enter the prompts fields for dashboard page execution.
    My Objects are dashboards D1,D2 and Report R1
    Drill down on D1 will navigate to D2 and drill down on D2 will navigate to Report R1 and clicking return on R1 will navigate to D2.To navigate from D2 back to D1, I need the OBIEE return functionality.
    Can anyone help me on this?
    Thanks Shravan

    Hi Srikanth,
    Thank you for your response.
    I tried to follow the content in the link and I get a Web Page Not Found response.
    I substitued the parameters of scid and the Portalpath.
    I am not sure what else is going wrong.
    What is expected is if D1 dashboard being executed with certain parameters before navigation, then on clicking the Return link, we need to get the dashboard page executed with same parameters which is like Back button.I will not be able to use the script for Back functionality of the browser as I also have a drill dwon from the D2 dashboard page to the Report R1. Hence on clicking on Return will take me to R1 rather than D1.
    Below is the execution sequence that is required:
    D1-->D2-->D1
    D1-->D2-->R1-->D2-->D1
    Hence I would like to know how can I get the OBIEE return link displayed on the dashboard page which we get on a drill down request.
    Thanks
    Shravan

  • How to add a download link in a report directed by a navigation link?

    I have searched the net but could not find the solution.
    I added a link in a dashboard page. The link is connected to a request. When the link is clicked, the page goes to a report, which is not placed in a section region.
    Now, how to configure the report so that a download link is displayed right under the navigated report?
    I know that if a report is placed under a section in a dashboard design page, use the "Request Link..." to add the download link. But such a "Request Link..." feature is not available for a navigate-link directed report.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Quin

    I haven't seen this done, but it may be possible. As a workaround why not create a new hidden dashboard page and put your request on that page with the appropriate 'Download' report link?

  • Return Links at top of Report?  Legend Labels on Bar Chart Rollovers?

    Hi,
    I have two questions.
    1. Is there a way to easily put the 'Return' links at the top of all reports? i.e. is there a template I can edit to do this to all my reports? I have hundreds of reports and changing them all by hand by putting a static text with HTML isn't really an option for me.
    2. Is there a way to show the Legend value when you hover over a Bar on a Bar Chart. I'm pretty sure pie charts do this, but in my Bar Chart, hovering over the individual bars only shows the value. I would like for it to also show which legend item it is when a user hovers over.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

    Kevin,
    I was looking into the issue. I can confirm that the scid code that's generated is dynamic.
    I also looked into the return link - the code is the following (you already know this).
    td class="ResultLinksCell"><a href="javascript:void(null)" onclick="return ViewBack('d:dashboard~p:9md8uku78u84kdge~r:kug9avdjlblr24fq','DrillBack','1pnm8a1lmln3ml08v6lil3d8gi');" title="Return to the previous page" name="SectionElements">Return</a</tdI checked several JS files in OracleBI\web\app\res\b_mozilla folder - tableview.js, viewhelper.js- although I found the function responsible for Return link (viewback) - I couldn't find the xml where you'd need to put that link in front of the following code - div id="idResultsTableParent"><table id="saw_146_3" class="ResultsTable" I suggest you search for the place in xml where it's generating table view and put the return link on top of the table.

  • Delete 'return' link

    Hi, OBIEE automatically adds 'Return' and 'Create Bookmark Link' in a report when that report is specified as a target in the Navigation option. I do not want to the 'Return' link. Does anybody know how to remove this link.

  • Can't see Pivot view in Navigated report.

    Hello all-
    I have a main page report and a navigated report which is linked to one column of main page report.
    I used Pivot views for boh the reports.
    However, I could see Pivot results on dashboard for main report but, When I navigate to the second report, it is not being shown in Pivot view ( I need Totals which can be obtained through pivot view).
    Where do I need to check?
    Thanks

    Insted of giving navigation to a report give navigation to a page.Create a separate page for the navigated report(pivot) and hide the page.Then try it will work.

  • Ability to link to MAS reports stored in unix directories

    Hi,
    How can we give link on a report column to go pdf report stored in unix directory. And Based upon user prompts by award or award name return complete list of MAS reports available.

    Paul,
    Thanks for your quick response. It is a pity that the file path is to be in Unix format. We now need a two-staged procedure where the file first is written to a 'temp' directory that is known to both the reports server (in Unix format) and to the browser clients (in UNC format). After writing the file to this directory, we can use webutil to copy the file to it's final destination as specified by the user. A little awkward, but it is a whole lot better than no file at all !
    Thanks again,
    Gerrit

  • Show / Hide DOWMLOAD link in classical report based on user rights

    Hi,
    using apex 4.1.
    How i can display or hide download link in classical report based on user rights .
    The User who has download rights ,can download the data from classical report Otherwise it should hide.
    I have passed the code in authorization scheme in shared component as named "VIEW"
    DECLARE
    VNAME VARCHAR2(1000);
    BEGIN
    SELECT PAGE_NAME INTO VNAME FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGES WHERE PAGE_ID = :APP_PAGE_ID AND APPLICATION_ID = :APP_ID;
    return GET_ADMIN_STATUS_VIEW_NEW(:APP_USER,VNAME);
    END;How i can call "VIEW'' name in download link.

    Right click on the export link, select copy url. Create a button with redirect to URL. Use that URL (or at least everything with and after f?p). Bind rights to the button.
    Or create a second identical report with different rights, give one export enabled and one disabled. The first is better, the second is easier :)

    I am having major issues with links in keynote! Even though the links (a navigation system) are on the master page, they are only working on some of my slides. Anyone have ideas on how to fix this or similar issues? Help!
    I have created a navigation system on the master pages and set the presentation to links only mode. I also have other links scattered throughout the program, like a linkable table of contents, etc. Some of them work, some of them don't. Not sure why. Anyone out there having similar issues? Or have any idea on how I can solve this issue? Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

    Links should not create any problems in Keynote.  If they are set up correctly on text, the text will be underlined. Objects that have links will have a curved arrow bottom right, if you click the arrow a popup will display the link information.
    Try this repair for Keynote,  ensure you complete all the tasks and in the order shown:

    delete all the iWork applications if you have them, not just Keynote, using Appcleaner from Mac Update, its a freeware application

    empty the trash:  Finder > Empty Trash

    Shut down your Mac, wait 30 seconds, then power on the Mac, immediately after the start chime, hold down the Shift key
    When you see the grey Apple symbol and progress indicator (a spinning gear), release the Shift key.
    If you are prompted to log in, type your password, then hold down the Shift key again as you click Log in.
    4
    Let the Mac fully boot up, it will take longer as the OS is repairing the drive

    when fully booted, go to Applications > Utilities > Disc Utility; click on the boot drive then First Aid tab and click  repair disc permissions

    when complete, restart the Mac normally, Apple menu > Restart

    install Keynote from the Mac App Store
    let us know if this helped

  • SQL report link to another report

    Hello,
    I am using Apex 4 and trying to link an sql report with another report. If I were able to use an interactive report I could easily link that to another page, but that would require me to have a primary key. The problem is that I need to link a few tables. So two questions:
    1.) Can I link these via an HTML link to my other page? I would have a HTML link in my report that would link via URL parameter passing. So can I use HTML in a report?
    2.) What is the syntax for a parameter passing via URL? Here is my link that would be:
    a href= f?p=107:40:&APP_SESSION::::P40_NAME:MARK: Are there any other ways to accomplish this?
    Thanks,
    Mark

    I am using Apex 4 and trying to link an sql report with another report. If I were able to use an interactive report I could easily link that to another page
    It's easy in standard reports< /a>. (Ignore the "Interactive Report" typo in step 1.)
    1.) Can I link these via an HTML link to my other page? I would have a HTML link in my report that would link via URL parameter passing. So can I use HTML in a report?You can, but it's better practice to keep data retrieval and HTML structure separate when possible&mdash;in this case by using declarative Column Links.
    2.) What is the syntax for a parameter passing via URL?This is also covered in the documentation.
    Here is my link that would be: a href= f?p=107:40:&APP_SESSION::::P40_NAME:MARK:
    {quote}
    That looks to have the order of the parameters correct, but it's missing some syntax:<a href="f?p=107:40:&APP_SESSION.::::P40_NAME:MARK">...</a>
    The static text exact substitution method of referencing the value of an APEX item requires a terminating dot ("."): <tt>&APP_SESSION.</tt>
