Return process in subcontracting scenario

Hi all,
Here in client place after receiving the (semi finished material) material from the subcontracting vendor quality inspection will be conducted and if the material is rejected in quality inspection that material will be returned to subcontracting vendor and reconciled on same 57F5 challan.
AS per my knowledge while returning the material(semi finished)  to sub contracting vendor (mvt 122) in migo in excise tab "refer sub contracting challan 'is to appear and we should refer to sub contact challan no. after that in j1ifq it should be reconcile. But in excise tab in MIGO refer subcontract challan is not appearing & if i tried to reconcile in j1ifq against that material doc number system is not allowing to reconcile .
Pls guide me whether this process is correct or not .If this is correct how i can proceed to resolve this issue .
Thanks & Regards
vr

Note that reconciliation is done only when the components sent by you are used up. Reconciliation is NOT meant for sending the finished/semi finished product back to the vendor.  So the system behaviour of not showing you the option to refer the challan in MIGO when you do 122 is correct.
You need to send this material back to the vendor with an excise invoice if the finished/semi finished product is excisable. You will have to either cancel the earlier reconciliation (if any happened) else you will have to reverse the challan to indicate that the component consumption is also reversed. This will create an accounting document. Recredit can be availed when the corrected material is sent back by the subcon vendor.

  • Subcontracting return process

    Hi,
Any one can tell me  Subcontracting Return Process.
    a) I done Return Delivery against the Subcontracting PO
    b) in J1IF01 I plan to create a Challan, its showing err..like " Document already exists for material document XXXXX"
    Please guide me.
    Rgs,
    Priya.

    HI
    Follow the below steps:
    Creation of Subcontracting PO (ME21N)
Transfer Posting of Components to Subcontractor (Mvmt Type - 541) (MB1B/ME2O/MIGO)
Creation of Subcontracting Challan w.r.t. Transfer Posting Doc (J1IF01)
    Goods Receipt w.r.t. Subcontracting PO and Refer Subcontracting Challan at the time of GR (MIGO) {GR with 101 and auto consumption of components with 543 movement}
    Reconciliation of Subcontracting Challan (J1IFQ)
    Completion of Subcontracting Challan (J1IF13)
    Generation of Annexure IV (J1IFR)
Note: - In this case, you have to maintain the Assessable Value for the Components to be supplied to Vendor in J1ID and also Excise Tax rates for the Chapter IDs linked with these components. So during J1IF01, system will take the Assessable Value as Excise base Value and calculates the Excise Duties by taking Excise Tax Rates.

  • Process Loss in Subcontracting Scenario

    Dear all,
In this scenario I am sending 10 kg of mat A 10 kg of Material B  to Subcontracting vendor to get a final product of C but in actual process the vendor loss 1 kg of Mat A and 2 kg of material B and final product is of 17 kg .My question is how we can map in SAP ?
    Thanking you;
    Regards;
    Joydeep Mukherjee

    Hi
If this is your standard business process for subcontracting means
create a BOM for the material C -17kg
The components are materail A -10 kg,
                                       material B- 10 kg
This means that for making the material C ,the subcontractor needs MterialA -10KG and  MterialB-10kg.
    Do your subcontracting process normally.
If this is not  your standard business process for subcontracting means (rarely or some times)
Then after completing your goods receipt, go for subsequnt adjustment in the MIGO screen. then enter your wastage and post the document.
    Thanks

  • Customer Returns Process - Make to Order Scenario

    Dear Experts,
In Customer Returns Process for make to Order scenario, I am using SAP Standard Documents and Item Categories.
For standard Sales Order the Requirement type used is Customised say ZHS and Batch Numbers are to be used which are flowing from PPModule.
While creating Returns order same Requirement Type is triggered i.e.ZHS and while creating Returns Delivery   PGR is not happening untill the Requirement is changed to SAP Standard 011 / KSL in Returns Order.
    How to solve this issue.
    Regards
    Hari

    Hi
The requirements can be triggered on the basis of your configuration which i had replied
    like in
    MG
    Sales and Distribution
    Basic functions
Availability check and Transfer of Requirements
    Transfer of requirements
Determination of requirement types using transaction
    Item categoryPDReq typeRequirement class2
I also faced the same scenario in MTO managed in batches for me what i said has solved my issue. In your case may be different if you can provide details so that the forum can help you

  • Customer Standard & returns Process for Job work Scenario issue

    Hi,
According to My Job Work Scenarios
Customer will give the Raw material like Grey (Non Valuated material )
    Normal Process :
Once we created a sales order for 100 meters , at the time of production completion the finished stock will be increased or decreased like 110 meters or 90 meters
    1. At the time Delivery how system will accept over delivery and under delivery . i have seen the 2 fields in customer master  where we will we maintain the Percentages how system will determined
    2. Billing will be done by based on delivery qty and after that i have to raise the Excise invoice based on billing level
my doubt is how can we know or Track  this sale order we delivered qty less or over ? is there any report available in standard SAP ? how to close the sales orders ? is there any mass close of sales orders ?
    3. At the time of Excise invoice they want to enter the Assessable manually how to do in SAP ?
    Return Process:
    1.  we will raise the Return Order based on document type RE , but in my case client will take the Return Goods and he will give the price of raw material like Grey how i am going to handle this situation ?
2.How to process the excise related activities what the settings i have to do and what are the t-codes ( I think we can use J1IH ) i have to use

My answers are in BOLD. I have done some tests and my advise is based on the tests.
First of all Thanks for Reply Mr.Typewriter,
According to My Job Work Scenarios
Customer will give the Raw material like Grey (Non Valuated material )
    Normal Process :
Once we created a sales order for 100 meters , at the time of production completion the finished stock will be increased or decreased like 110 meters or 90 meters
    1. At the time Delivery how system will accept over delivery and under delivery . i have seen the 2 fields in customer master where we will we maintain the Percentages how system will determined
Yes you can have limits to over and underdelivery in XD01 or VD51, depending upon either you want to give limits for a customer or for a cust-mat combination
Can you please explain because my doubt is if i entered manually system will accept i want to restrict the end-user like for example he can enter over delivery 10 % and under delivery 5 % where i have to fix those percentage because if i am not fix End-User can enter sometimes over delivery 11 % and under delivery 10 % system will accept i want to restrict that
    3 steps -
    1. in VD51 create cus-mat info record, go inside the record by double clicking - give Underdelivery % & Overdelivery %, Save.
    2. in 0VLP, for your delivery item category, in field "Check Overdelivery" = B (Situation rejected with error)
    3. in OVM1, for message VL 064 change to E (error), this is for Underdelivery
Now if sales order is created for 100EA. Underdelivery and Overdelivery = 10%
Then user can NOT create delivery e.g. for 80EA or for 150EA.
    I have tested this.
    2. Billing will be done by based on delivery qty and after that i have to raise the Excise invoice based on billing level
my doubt is how can we know or Track this sale order we delivered qty less or over ? is there any report available in standard SAP ? how to close the sales orders ? is there any mass close of sales orders ?
In sales order in VA03, item level, Tab Schedule line - there you can see clearly Ordered Quantity and Delivered Quantity
Even if it is Over or under delivery also
    Yes, see point 1
The status of the order you can set/configure, if in XD02, in Tab Shipping, field = Partial delivery / item
status can also be configured in VD52, field = Partial delivery / item
This way you do not have to manually close the sales order, even if you have underdelivered. Select the option (A, B,...) which fits your business requirement best.
    3. At the time of Excise invoice they want to enter the Assessable manually how to do in SAP ?
what about the solution for this point
    I don't know this point's answer
    Return Process:
    1. we will raise the Return Order based on document type RE , but in my case client will take the Return Goods and he will give the price of raw material like Grey how i am going to handle this situation ?
Explain this more. (what are material you have sent to customer & what material he is wanting to pay for; are they different MMRs?)
    Two ways -
One have different cond records with different MMR and prices (if Finished mat = M1, and raw material = M2); in MM01, Tab Sales org 1, you can have Sales Unit changes set.
Second have a different pricing procedure for RE and another for OR.
Customer will give the Grey Material ( Non - Valuated ), we send the finished Material to customer correct , Due to some reason customer return the Finished Goods that time Client will pay the Grey material value
    1 Questions -
    e.g. Grey mat = M2
    Finished goods = M1
Q1. RE order shall have different material #s from sales orders, because RE shall have grey mat. & OR shall have Finished mat. Is that correct?
Then - cond records in VK11 for different materials, for con type PR00 for M1 and M2; this is possible.
2.How to process the excise related activities at the time of returns what the settings i have to do and what are the t-codes ( I think we can use J1IH if yes guide me based on that )
What is the solution for this point
I do not know this answer
    3. What the documents will be generated
Are you asking documents to be generated for RE process? Delivery note has to be printed for the warehouse to do GR
I mean at the time returns is there any excise related documents will be updated if yes tell me what are the documents ?
I do not know this answer

  • I want to implement "return process"

    gurus
i want to customize the return process of the materials.what config required. tell me step by step guidence so as to develop these things.please step by step each and every setting required.i want total guidence to develop this scenario. explain in detail.

    Returns Order
In this step, you define shipping-specific data for the returns order. You make settings for the required return delivery type for
purchasing document category F (purchase order),
    purchasing document type
    NB - standard purchase order
    UB - stock transport order
    the supplying plant
    Recommendation
You can use the return to vendor function without making any additional settings here. To be able to use the store returns function you have to make the necessary settings in the corresponding IMG activity
    Returns to Vendor
In this step, you define shipping-specific data for returns to vendor, which is the return delivery of goods to an external vendor.
You can use the return to vendor function without making any additional settings here. However, if you create shipping documents for the return delivery to the vendor, and if you want to use other delivery functions too, then you have to make settings for the required returns delivery type.
    Requirements
Prerequisites for returns to vendor with shipping processing include:
Flagging the vendor (in the purchasing data) with the indicator "Ret. with shipping proc."
Entering customer data for the vendor
The system must be able to find a shipping point for the supplying plant (that sends the goods back to the vendor).
    Activities
Assign the appropriate returns delivery type to
purchasing document category F (purchase order),
purchasing document type NB (standard purchase order) and
    the supplying plant
Returns delivery type "RL", which already exists in the system, is suitable for this.
    Further notes
When using SAP Retail, stores (generally, supplying plants that are not distribution centers) usually do not have a shipping point. You have to make the appropriate settings for this in Customizing under Assign shipping point - plant and Assign shipping points.
When making these settings, ensure you adhere to the shipping conditions (for which you made settings in the vendor customer data) and the loading group settings (which you made for the material that is to be returned).
You do not need to determine a returns delivery type for the return to vendor for purchasing document type "UB" (stock transport order).
You cannot use the return to vendor function in the following scenarios:
return delivery of goods to a plant
Store Return / Return Plant to Plant
In this step, you define shipping-specific data for the store returns, which is the return delivery of goods from one plant to another.
    Example
In SAP Retail, plants are referred to as distribution centers or stores. With store returns, you can map the return delivery of goods from
a store to a distribution center (this is the most common case),
from one distribution center to another distribution center,
from one store to another store,
from a distribution center to a store (although this is not very common).
    Requirements
For the return delivery types, you have to make settings for the item category determination.
Partner schema must be assigned to the return delivery types.
The relevant goods movement types must be assigned to the schedule line categories (for the returns in Sales). The following schedule line categories are also available in the system:
    NR - Replenishment Returns and
NS - Replenishment Cross Company Returns
    Activities
Assign the required return delivery type to
purchasing document category F (purchase order),
purchasing document type (NB - standard purchase order, UB - stock transport order),
the supplying plant (the one to which the goods are being returned)
The following return delivery types are available in the system:
NLR - intra-company-code store returns (purchasing document type UB for replenishment and return orders, delivery type NL for the replenishment delivery)
NCR - cross-company-code store returns (purchasing document type NB for replenishment and return orders, delivery type NLCC for the replenishment delivery)
    Further notes
When using SAP Retail, stores (generally, supplying plants which are not distribution centers) usually do not have a shipping point. You have to make the appropriate settings for this in Customizing under Assign shipping point - plant and Assign shipping points.
When making these settings, ensure you adhere to the shipping conditions (for which you made settings in the customer data for the plant that is returning the goods) and the loading group settings (which you made for the material that is to be returned).

client want the same pricing what they paid from old  PO ( ME21N) to get back  money
    Company code- 3000
    Plant -D001
    material qty-2 with price pr00 -1 USD with discount 10 %
raise Return Purchase order (with respect to old purchase order) to company code 1000 plat A001
when i am doing my invoice (IG) at  company code 1000  how pricing should done
    question
    1) all pricing element should copy from Purchase order like PB00 , RA01 condition to my invoice (IG)
then how account determination will happen
    or
new SD pricing should carried out how????
    Please guide
    thanks in advance

    Hi Hanumant,
In the above scenario you have mentioned, A001 is your supplying plant & D001 is the receiving plant (which is raising the intercompany STO).
So as you mentioned inorder to return the goods, Plant D001 will raise a Return PO with all the conditions as that in its STO & will return the goods to plant A001 using 161 mov. & you can post a credit memo for the return PO.
Incase of A001, you can create a return order (SD) with ref to its billing doc & do a return delivery to take back the goods.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi ,
In  subcontarcting PO scenario please explain me the following.
I am sending x kg of material A to SC Vendor .
I am expecting y kg of Material B from SC vendor.
By product in the procedure is C.
I have maintained BOM as A material to be send A, finished assebly is B and byproducts C in cs01.
    Steps Involved are
    1. I sent x KG to  SC Vendor . ( Explain how to issue goods to SC vendor with Movement type involved.)
    2. Found that actual consumption was less than expected in BOM, So i want reverse those extra parts i sent to SC vendor.( How to reverse them and using which Movement type)
    3. After completion of process i want to do GR for the Finished product XX.(How to do GR and Movement type envolved)
4.In last stage i want to recieve the by-products from the vendor.( Movement type)
5 Scrap generated in process to be recieved in companies own stock( Movement type)
    5. What are various excise document which are involved if vendor sends me the finished product within subcontracting period.( 180 days)

    HI All,
Can anybody help me regarding subcontracting. Any help would be much appreciated.
Talking about subcontracting, right now we are facing some issues. We have right now what we call dismantle subcontracting,
    Scenario 1:
Normally we send material A,B,C to vendor 1 for subcontract and receive material D.now on vice versa, we want to send material A, to Vendor 1 to receive material B,C and D.
while Material B,C,D will remain in vendor site after dismantle process is done.
I know, i can input one of the subcomponent say : A in PO as a parent component then put rest of others as a subcomponent with addition negative quantity for material D.
but the problem is , a lot of subcomponent for dismantle is involved and the customer is minded if they have to put a lot of subcomponent every time they create PO(while this PO subcontract may vary every time).Any other way for resolved this objection.
    thank you,
    Regards,

  • Returns process for stock transfer

    Hi all,
How to carry out sales returns process for stcok transfer,
material is sent from head office plant to branch plant, now we need to do sales return from branch plant to head office plant,
kindly let me know what are the customization & end user steps need to be taken.

    Hi,
The standard stock transfer comprises a purchase order, outbound delivery and an invoice if relevant.
Returns process in the same scenario will also involve a purchase order but of a returns type. Note that the supplying plant and receiving plant will remain the same in the returns PO as well; additionally returns PO has a 'check' indicating that it is a return.
Outbound delivery is created w.r.t returns PO (using VL10H for eg. just like a normal stock transfer). When PGI is posted, the stock is received in the 'supplying plant' therefore completing the returns process. This bit is similar to customer's returns. The movement type, etc. are taken care of when the appropriate document types are chosen.
    Cheers,
    KC

  • SD: Return process

    Hi experts,
I'm in this scenario: consignment fill-up order ( followed by delivery and goods issue. (no billing is done for fill-up).
Now I need to set up a return process for faulty materials sent by customer.
Can someone suggest in detail what it's necessary to implement in customizing?
    thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Consignment Sales Process in SAP
The consignment process in SAP standard consist of four small processes:
Consignment fillup (send materials to customer consignment).
Here you have a consignment fillup order and a consignment fillup delivery.
Consignment issue (issue materials from customer consignment to the customer).
Here you have a consignment issue order, consignment issue delivery and a consignment issue invoice. (the flow is very similar to a normal OR flow, but the materials are issued from the consignment stock instead of plant stock unrestricted).
Consignment return (return materials from customer ownership to customer consignment).
Here you have a consignment return order, consignment return delivery and a consignment return invoice. (the flow is very similar to a normal RE flow, but the materials are returned to the consignment stock instead of plant stock returns).
Consignment pickup (pickup consignment stock and move it to plant stock).
Here you have a consignment pickup order and a consignment pickup delivery.
Note that in consignment fillup and consignment pickup there are no invoices since there is no change of ownership for the materials.
How to perform a consignment order?
In consignment orders you are allowing the stock to sit in your customer location. Once he informs that he used the stock you will invoice him. If he returns the stock you will accept the stock to take it back.
It is defined in 4 steps.
    1. Consignment fill up:
    Sales document type is KB
    Item category KBN
    shedule line category E1
In this step, you are not invoicing the customer. document flow is sales order -
delivery item category. It will not be relevent for billing and pricing because you are not charging money for these goods in this step.
In schedule line category, you will set movement type 631 & set for availability check and TOR.
    2. Consignment Issue.
Once the customer informed you that he used all the goods or partial goods then you will create consignment issue for used goods.
    Sales document: KE
    Item category: KEN
shedule line category: C0 or C1
Here you are invoicing the customer(because he used the goods). you are assigning the delivery documnt and billing document to the sales document.
In item category, you are setting relevent for billing, pricing, special stock.
In schedule line category, your setting is 633 movement type, relevent for availability check & TOR.
    3. Consignment Return:
Customer found that some goods are damaged or he not able to sold the goods he want to send it back. that you are creating this document.
    Sales document type: KR
    Item category: KRN
    Shedule line category: D0
You will assign delivery document and billing to sales document. you will create return order, return delivery, return billing.
Your setting item category relevent for billing, returns, pricing, special stock.
Your setting schedule line item category: 634 movement type, NO availability NO TOR.
    4. Consignment Pick up:
Even if you create the consignment return the goods are not come to direct to your plant. For that you need to create consignment pick up. here the owner ship is not changing so you do not need to create billing.
Assign retrun delivery to sales document type.
    Sales document: KA
    Item category: KAN
    schedule line category: F0 & F1
Your setting item category relevent for returns. any shedule line category relevent for 632 movement type, MRP, availability check, delivery.
Now you check your plant stock. Stock will increase.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Configraing return process

    HI,
I would like to configre the following scenario. I am selling material to sold  to  party 1000, ship to party 1000.The customer has rejected the material . But there is another ship to party for 1000 is 2000 who has got authorisation to return the same material.I know it sounds strange. I want to create return process for 1000 and 2000 .Also, want to reconcilate account.I want to create this return w/o any ref to sales order or invoice.
    Please guide.
    Thanks,
    Pramod

In the example mentioned, it is ideal to create Sales Return without reference to Original Document. In that case requirement will be met, but the disadvantage is the original data will not be copied, when created without reference to original Invoice / Order.
    Sales Return Configuration:
    Incase of Return Sales Order:
    T.Code for copy control: VTAF
    Source Document: F2
    Target Document: RE
    Item category REN
Considering the above settings are done:
Create return sales order RE (with Reference to Billing Document) & the data will be copied as it is in Return Sales Order - RE. For Eg: here you require to change to quantity from 10 to 2, as you want to take back into Inventory of only 2.
    Incase of Return Delivery:
    T.Code for copy control: VTLA
    Source Document: RE
    Target Document: LR
    Item category REN
Considering the above settings are done:
Create Return Delivery through T.Code VL01N & do PGR (Post Goods Receipt). This will add the stock to blocked stock. This will take care of Inventory.
To address the issue of how to take Credit for Excise, use T.Code: J1IH --> other Adjustment & based on the credit to be taken, make the necessary entry.
    Incase of Credit Memo:
    T.Code for copy control: VTFA
    Source Document: RE
    Target Document: Credit Memo
Item category G2N (Check in System)
First in VA02, remove the Billing Block in Return Sales Order - RE & save the document. Now in T.Code: VF01, enter Return Sales Order Number & select the appropriate Billing Type (Credit Memo) & Enter& Save. This will create Credit Memo.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Solution for 2 Returns process

    Hello Folks,
I need to check if this solution will work to address a requirement:
2 returns situation need to be processed. First scenario , a Delivery is required for a Return. Second scenario, no Delivery is required for a Return.
For this, can 1 material be assigned to 2 Item categories in the same Returns doc type? Can I configure 2 item categories for the same material using a different item category group which I would set in the material master data?
The other solution I can think of is to create another returns doc type.
    Please advise.
    regards
    Ravi

You can have two different item categories for the same material. One is Default Item category and the other Manual.
In the item category determination (T Code VOV4) for the return doc type / Item cat Grp / Default Item cat / Manual Item cats, you can do the assigments as per your requirement.
You dont need two different returns document types for this.
    Hope this helps
    Regards
    Sai
