Return products in a diffrent country?

Is it possible to buy something from an apple retail store in the US and then return it in a retail store in Canada or another country? If not is there another way to return it besides going back to te US (ex by mail). Thanks im advance for answers.

Why do you want to return it?
I'm guessing this is a question that only the Apple store you want to return it to will be able to answer. Call them. You can find store phone numbers by starting on this page.

Returning ipod in a different country?

I was given an Ipod classic as a gift about 2 and a half months ago. At the end of last week, while I was using it, it rebooted itself, loaded as far as the menu screen, and immediately rebooted itself, and has been doing the same thing since then (so, a good couple of days of continually rebooting - its plugged into the mains at the moment). If I run the battery down, as soon as I plug it into a source of power, it does the same thing, and my computer won't recognise it as it doesn't load up for long enough before rebooting.
Anyway, I tried to get an appointment at a Genius bar in London, but there are none available this week it seems. My problem is that on Sunday, I am leaving England to move to the Netherlands, and I'd like my ipod working before I go. Either I could just take it back to the store and get a replacement (I'm assuming I don't have to go through genius to do this, but they may send it off to check it and I may not get it back before I go, plus will lose the engraving on the back I guess, if they give me a straight swap). But the other option is, that I return it in the Netherlands, and ask them to send me a new one there (with engraving on - it's probably a bit silly, but it was a gift and I'd feel a bit of an idiot if I engraved a lovely message to myself!)
So, can you return ipods bought in one country to an apple shop in another country? Or does anyone have any better ideas?

As the iPod warranty is worldwide, you shouldn't have any problem filling out the service request when in Holland.
I've returned an iPod bought in the USA here in England and got a replacement (although it wasn't engraved).

Trying to connect to a license server in a diffrent country

Our Client has just installed another SAP installation. They are trying to connect the hina SAP client to the Licence server in a diffrent country (the licese server has a Global licence )
the 2 countries are in diffrent time zones too.
so far we have not been successful!
typing in the ip address gives a error "Connection license server failed......."
I cannot find any documentation on this as well.

Our situaiton is diffrent - we are trying to share a licence server - thats in a remote server. see clarificaiton below.
The situaiton is they want to SHARE the LICENCE SERVER ONLY.
simply,
Australian server has a unique SAP installation with its own database
China server has a unique SAP installation with its own database
somewhere in the middle ( the lincense server is runing on a common server - that server too is in Australia but what matters is its common and needs to be shared)
Australia needs to see its own databses ONLY
China needs to see its own databases ONLY
Both Australia and China needs to be authenticated using the same common licence server as above

We have to set up a scenario for sending "Customer returned" products from branches to Central DC through STO. But we do not want GATP check for these STOs, as they are Customer Returns, which need to analyze at CDC for further actions. We are using SCM 7.0 and ECC 6.0

Activating U.S purchased CS6 Education version product in an other country

I'm thinking about purchasing Adobe CS6 Production Premium Education version from a US based reseller because I have a git card from there. However I'm a faculty member at a university in Turkey and I will be using the product in Turkey.
If I buy this product, will I be able to activate and use it without any problems?

SAP Code to Return Production Order List for a Given Work Center

We are looking for native SAP code (BAPI, BADI, FM, ...) that would take a work center value as a parameter and then return all the production orders that have been assigned to that work center.
We are running 4.7 and do not have access to BAPI's BAPI_PRODORD_GET_LIST or BAPI_PRODORD_GET_DETAIL.
I believe we could write our own BAPI for this but was hoping that SAP had something natively embedded that we just can't find at this point.

How to handle returned products originally issued out using Transport Order

Dear Experts
I transfer a batch containing 10 cartons from production plant NDE1 to sales plant NDE2 within same company code using a stock transport order.
Each carton is valued at 1dollar each, that is total value of transfered stock is $10
After two weeks, 3 cartons went bad and needs to be returned to production plant NDE1.
How do I capture this return process in SAP?
If it were an outright sales to a customer, a Return Order with reference to the invoive will be created, return delivery done,PGI done which brings the returned stock into inventory, and a credit memo posted against the original billing.
How do I handle my 3 cartons of returned stock since it was given out using a transport order?
What will the accounting entries be in the system? i mean which accounts will be credited and debited by the $3 value of th ereturned three cartons?

It depends how you handle the stock .Your accounting document generated in NDE2 in plant only.
The first step you transfered the material through sto from NDE1 to NDE2 ,here there is no impact on accounting entries as you are transffering the stock with in company code.
After you get return stock from customer NDE2 you can directly scrap or after inspecction of the stock if the stock is good then you can keep in Unresticted use for further sales.
I dont think so you need again one more sto to get return stock from NDE2 to NDE1 as it is damaged stock and un necessary paying transport costs.
If you scrap the material then the 3 qty of stock 3 doller price hit to scrap account.

Return product id when all variant active flags = 'N'

How can I get products with all variants active_flag = 'N'? each product has multiple entries in variant table.

Well, your original post made me (and others) assume you'd also be querying your product table.
Given your testcase, you could also use DISTINCT.

You cannot.
You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of your country of residence ( proven by the valid billing address on your credit card) AND ONLY while inside the borders if that country.

Cannot buy Adobe product due to different country error

My adobe is registered in Canada , but i moved to Europe and when i try to upgrade my CS 5 to CS6 it shows me error about wrong country and i can't complete transaction ?
Any idea why?

Returned product - Got No Refund! Adobe stole from me!

Adobe has stolen from me!
I contacted Adobe about a return in April of 2009.
They sent me a 'Letter of Software Destruction' which had to be filled out. They also informed me to throw away the software, in which I did.
I filled out the necessary form and sent it to Adobe along with my purchase receipt on April 16, 2009.
It is now September 14, 2009 and I have still not been given my refund.
I have tried contacting Adobe seven times via email and have received no reply.
I also contacted Adobe sixteen times via telephone. Every time I have sat on hold for no less than forty five minutes. I am a single mom with two young kids who also works two jobs. I honestly just don't have the ability to sit on hold longer than that.
The bottom line is, I returned the software and did not receive my refund. Therefore, Adobe has technically stolen two hundred dollars of my very hard earned, and very tightly budgeted, money.
I am very upset by this!! I have been trying to contact Adobe for over four months now. I am really starting to think this is deliberate.
Posting me experience on this forum is my first step.
My next step will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I will also be looking into getting legal representation.
This is theft and Adobe should be aware that theft is illegal.

I can tell you that I went through the same deal with the whole "Letter of Software Destruction".
I waited almost six months until I got my refund. That was after calling them so many times I couldn't count anymore. I also sat on hold each time for at least forty five minutes.
I would have to say that writing to Adobe online is completely useless so I would sugest not wasting your valuable time. I did so ten times with absolutely no response whatsoever.
I hate to say it, but you have every right to be scared. Want to be even more scared? Go to The Better Business Bureau online and read how many complaints there are about Adobe and refunds. It scared the hell out of me and I thought for sure I was screwed.
Your best bet is to call them. And when you do get a hold of someone, and hopefully they speak English well enough for you to understand, threaten them! Tell them you have read the complaints on The Better Business Bureau and that you are in the process of writing your own complaint. You can also lie and tell them you have a very popular blog online and you are fully prepared to write about your experience. That sometimes works as well.
Also remind them that you did what they asked of you, that being destroying the software, and that what they are doing is quite simply theft.

IPortalComponentRequest.getLocale() does not return country

I am using EP6 SR1. I have specified the langauge & country in the users profile using personalization page. But when I try to get the name of the coutry I do not get anything back. I do get the langauge code. If I change the langauge then the new langauge shows in my log statements so that means it's not returning default langauge. Both country & display country are returned as empty strings. I am calling following code from my jspdynpage doinitialization() method.

You have to find an app that is only available in the US store.
If the problem is on an iPad, etc:
Go to a search engine (like google) on the iPad/iPhone Safari and type in abc app download. Then find find a link that says iTunes.apple.com/us/app/abc-player. Tap it, and it will access the App Store. Eventually, a box should pop up that asks you if you want to switch to the US store. Confirm that, and it should bring you back to the US store. You don't need to download the abc app.
If on a computer:
I haven't confirmed it yet, but I believe there is a flag icon at the bottom of the iTunes Store main page similar to the one at the bottom of this page that you can use to change your country.

Goods receipt price in diffrent production version

Dear Gurus,
In Repetative scenerion I have given in REM profile that system should post activities using data from PRELIMENARY COST ESTIMATE. I have created 3 production version with diffrent BOM and Routings. And created 3 Product cost collector and 3 Prelimanary cost collector. For which i have got price 10, 18 & 25 respectively.But after i do the MFBF system is posted the goods receipt with using the standard price maintained in the material which is Rs 15. So my question is what is the purpose of making diffrent production version and difffrent prelimery cost estimate.

Hi,
Even though you have 3 different Product Cost Collectors based on your production version, you can update the standard cost estimate for the material against only one Version, so your Inventory valuation would be based on Standard Price in Material master.
Now coming to the effect of Product Cost collector, for every product cost collector, system would create a Internal Order(Production Order), against which all the costs would be collected and settled. So if you look at the costs accumulated in the specific cost collector for the backflushed production you can see the cost of GR based on the prelimenary cost estimate here it wont consider the cost based on the Standard Price.

Why would apple sell me a returned iPad as a brand new product?

I have been a preacher of the Apple gospel since I spent $4000 on my first Mac 2si and started my career in 1991. I have bought almost every version of Mac and I am running 5 in my office. I have lost $1000s in bad tech and bad products over the years, but I have stayed loyal. Now I find I bought a repackaged product as new. You cannot believe my letdown. To me it's like finding out the pope is a criminal. Apple has deceived myself and others. Best Buy's employee said I was not the first to suggest I bought a returned product repackaged. Apple has become another greedy capitalistic corp who cares nothing of us and only of the money! Or we're they always like this. I have no god anymore. Retribution is entitled!
