Return to position in movie once user hits 'stop' button

Hi. How can I make it so when the user hits the stop button on their DVD player, and then wants to return to the film in the same spot? (Like if you were to push pause, and then play again...)
I thought this was an automated thing, but my client is requesting that if she presses 'stop' and goes to the menu and then goes to 'play' again, that it will continue to play at the most recent position of the track.
Can anyone help?

Hi - welcome to the discussions.
If a viewer presses the 'menu' button whilst watching the track, they go to the menu. If they then press the menu button again, they will return to the track at the point they left it. This is all normal and standard behaviour.
Using the stop button first shouldn't affect this, as long as you press it once, but are you seeing something different? Can you describe what is happening?

when i hit stop button from vi, the producer loop stops, the consumer loop gets an error and stops without reading all the elements and then my check queue status loop continues to run becuase it never goes to 0.

Aviod page reload when user hits back button

Hi
I got 2 coldfusion pages A and B. When i click a link from
page A it goes to page B. When i click the back button of the
browser from page B the page A refreshes and shows. I dont want the
page A to reload when the user hits the back button of the browser
(so that all data remains as it was) from page B.
is there any method to cache the page and show? Or are there
any other methods? Pls help. I am running this project in Model
Glue architecture (i dont know whether that makes any difference)

Normal behaviour is that going back does not cause a page to
reload. You might be doing something to make that happen. If you
can figure out what it is, then you can stop doing it.

Hitting Stop Button in the middle of a JSP Request

          From a browser while servlet is doing some work for a users request, the user hits the stop buttom. In the process the
          servlet forwards the results to a JSP to be displayed using the request dispatcher, The result is the appserver goes
          into what looks like a loop.
          Any ideas how to handle a request that has not been finished when a user hits the stop button?
          We are using WL 5.1, SP7.

The camera formats the memory card using the "FAT32" filesystem rather than a proprietary filesystem. This allows the card to be read by nearly any computer (Windows, Mac, etc.)
HOWEVER... there's a limitation in that filesystem that no single file can grow above a specific size. That size is 4GB.
Also, the camera documentation describes that the camera will stop just 1 second short of the 30 minute mark regardless of the file size.
In pro video, movies are normally constructed by bringing together many very short clips. The one-long-continuous-take video style isn't used. If you are attempting to record a long event in one-long-continuous-take then it would be better to use a video camera for the task.

IDVD crashes when specific user hits burn button

I am having trouble with one of our G5 powermacs. It is running 10.4.6 with 3GB of Apple RAM. I am using iDVD 5.0.1. One of the user accounts on the machine has lost the ability to burn movies in iDVD. Other accounts can use it fine, btu when logged in as the "troubled user," iDVD crashes immediately when the burn button is clicked. I have tried projects that worked in the past and created simple tiny projects and they all crash.
I guess the problem is in the Library folder in the troubled user's home directory, but I can't fix it. I deleted any preferences and caches that said "idvd" in them, but there was no improvement.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Use the PPM toolkit class CL_CRM_PPM_UM_TOOLKIT. You can use the method You can use the method GET_ASSIGNMENTS_OF_USER which returns positions held by an user(user name). You may also find the method GET_POSITION_OF_USER useful. It accepts username and the organization ID and will return the positions held by the user under that organization.
This class always uses the current plan (01). If you want otherwise, you can use the FM RH_STRUC_GET. As to how this FM should be used, look inside the above said methods.

How to Do Validations When Approval Hits Reject Button?

The transaction has been initiated and now it routes to the next approval. The approval opens up the work item and it brings the form with the details transaction initiated. The approval hit "Reject" button to reject the transaction.

Big Capitals are termed Drop Caps, tyically one character.
Change either that 2 in the Paragraph Panel, or choose a different Paragraph Style

How-to move objects (users) from one ou to another using Powershell and an XLSX

I have a spreadsheet that has headers. I need to move all of the objects on this exception report to the proper OU (all going to the same OU).
The header that validates the need to move is called "Display Name".
The process now is as follows.
1) Copy displayname
2) Open AD search
3) enter display name in find box
4) locate object
5) right click object in results and click move.
6) move to the OU "Home.test.com/uk Online/Users OU/Business Process"
--- How can i use Import-CSV to automate this process?
Thanks for any help, there is about 4K lines on this sheet and it normally takes about 25 days of "busy work" to accomplish this, then 5 days later I have to re-run the report and start over.

Do you have to use the display name property? That's not guaranteed to be unique, so you might run into problems. The script above will not attempt to move the user if more than one is returned by the command.
EDIT: I've also added -WhatIf to Move-ADObject. Now the command won't actually move your users, it will just tell you about it. Remove it if you're happy with the output.

How can I control the windows behavior when the user hits "Windows key +d"?

I have an application with 2 top-level windows. Both windows may be open at the same time. One window is a win32 window, and the other is a wpf window. When both windows are open, the wpf window should always be before the win32 window. When the user hits
"Windows key +d" twice (show desktop and restore all windows), the windows are occasionally restored in a different order.
How can I force the wpf window to always be before the win32 window?
Which Windows messages/events are sent when the desktop is restored?

Hi,
I tried set the Topmost property on the Wpf window. It didn't help - for some reason, the win32 window still get in front of the Wpf window.
I was able to get some win32 messages that change the win32 window position. I tried then to bring the Wpf window to the front (using SetActiveWindow, SetForegroundWindow, SetWindowPos) but i does not work as expected.

VBA inserting form fields, different positions result for different users.

I'm certianly at a loss for wrapping my head around this.
Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard (v 9.5.4)
Excel 2010 (VBA)
The problem: When I create the PDF document from Excel, I search for a string of text in order to capture the Quads for the containing rectangle. Then I use the quads to insert a control with numeric offsets. The problem that I am facing is that the offsets seem to be causing the controls to be in different locations for different users. For example, when I send (-26, -2, 100, 10) {x-offset, y-offset, width, height}; the control aligns exactly where I want it. But when another user user runs the exact same routine, or opens the PDF that I created, the fields are no longer positioned correctly.
Is there some setting that I am missing? EDIT, SOLVED: My Acrobat had a custom point to pixel setting. (Preferences > Page Display > Resolution)

Thanks for the reply, I did spend some time working on this issue... here is what I found...
1) First of all, I did have a custom Points to Inches setting in my Acrobat options... 110 vs 96.   Resetting this allowed for me to see the alignment issue that my colleagues were referencing first hand.
As it turned out, my results were better, but still had inconsistency among different workstations. Leading me to..
2) The MSFT creator uses the default printer in some way to create the PDF. Because the different workstations were using different printers, we were getting different results. If everyone used an HP 1320, nobody would see any difference upon creating / adding fields.
The final solution was to change the Application.Printer to a common network printer before the export operation, and return the Application.Printer to the user default after the export completed. This has provided us with a common ground to work upon; we are lucky to have a network printer that can be used for this purpose, as I can see this becoming non-viable in environments where this would be unavailable.

Formscentral doesn't support direct delivery of filled forms via email at this time. You can however use Acrobat to add an email link to a form instead of a submit button. In this way the PDF will be returned to the email of your choice.
