Reversal of MIRO, PRD account is hitted

Dear All
We have a very urgent issue about the imports PO
The PO has been released, Customs clearing charges  done in MIRO , MIGO has been done and also Vandor payment invoice verification has been done but later there was some problem and the end user has actually cancelled the MIRo in MR8M, but what happened here was the Price difference account has come into picture in the Credit memo.
Please can anyone give me the reason why a PRD account has come into picture when the Invoice was cancelled with MR8M.
Helpful answers will be awarded

  • PRD account getting hit during Invoice verification . OBYC

    Dear Experts ,
When i am posting incoming invoice , the PRD account is getting hit by minor amounts . What is the relevance of PRD & whether it should hit or not .
    Regards
    Anis

    Hello Experts ,
I am posting invoice for the materials with moving average price in backdate.
    eg
    mat A : 1000 kg , Rs 1000 /-
    mat B : 1000 kg , Rs 1000/-
Now i have got an unpanned delivery cost of Rs 500. When I am posting this price i detailed tab following entries occur ( simulate)
    Vendor cr            2500-
    GR IR clrng         1000
    mat A Inv a/c       250
    GR IR clrng         1000
    Pr diff a/c             250
Here at the time of booking the invoice the stock of mat B is less than that in invoice . Also .... thet total of mat A Inv a/c & Pr diff a/c is 500/- that is total unpalnned del cost.
    are the entries correct ?
What is the reason the price diff account is getting hit for mat B
also how can i make the unpanned delivery cost hit inv account all the time ??
I tried making PRD rule valuation class specific & tried assigning inv accounts to it . BUT THE
SYSTEM DID NOT ALLOW ME TO SAVE SAYING THE ACCOUNT IS ALREADY USED IN BSX.

  • Issue with reversal of MIRO for Planned Delivery Cost

    Hi Xperts
We have found out an issue while reversing the MIRO document for Planned Del costs. When we have done the MIRO, the accounting entry got correctly posted with correct account keys.Conditions are not inventoried.
However, when we had reversed it - the stock account got hit.Do not understand, why that happened.Do you have any clue?
    1. Suppose we have done the MIRO for Del Cost & then performed GR.Now Stock has already consumed & afterwards we have found that the MIRO for Del Cost is wrong & reverse - in this scenario shall the Stock account will get a hit????
    2. I have maintained Price Control "V" in Material Master. However, I have maintained a Standard Price by mistake. In that case shall SAP ignores the MAP & takes Standard Price into account & post PRD??

    Hi,
Before checking Planned Delivery costs accounting documents in MIRO posting and MIRO cancellation document, 1st check how Planned Delivery costs designed for your procurement process.
Use t.code:ME23N, check your Purchase order
    Option-1:
Is Planned Delivery costs added to inventory account and at the same time Planned Delivery costs posted to Separate Planned Delivery costs G/L account.
    OR
    Option-2:
Is Planned Delivery costs posted to Planned Delivery costs G/L account ONLY
    OR
    Option-3:
Is Planned Delivery costs added to inventory account ONLY.
Based the above one setting, system  will post goods receipt and invoice posting document with corresponding accounting entries. Also cancellation of invoice posting document refer to these setting. But account posting depends on price control available in material master.
    NOTE:
Standard price procedure (price control “S”):The system carries out all stock postings at a price defined in the material master. Variances in price are posted to price difference accounts.
Moving average price (price control “V”): The system valuates goods receipts with the purchase order price and goods issues with the current moving average price.Differences in price between the purchase order price and the invoice are posted directly to the relevant stock account if there is sufficient stock coverage.

  • PRD-account key

    Hi
If i am having a material with moving average price V still it is hitting PRD Cost diffrence account key and stock account during Miro becoz of which i am not able to book GR.
what should be done so it will not hit PRD account key
    Regards,
    SAGAR

    Hi
The system is behaving correctly .Your PRD Account will be hit during MIRO if your Invoive value is different from the PO value and Your stock has been consumed
If your stock had been there then it would have hot your Inventory account and not PRD
Now if there is partial consumtion of stock then it will  allocate the amount on Prorata basis in which case both PRD and Inventory account will be hit proportionately.

    Hi
In subcontract process, we have created semi-finished product with price control 'S'. When we do MIGO for the Semifinished product, the PRD account does not get hit. The difference price goes to Cost of Goods Manufactured. In OBYC PRD account is maintained. Why is it so?

Done...I have made the config to activate PRD for subcontract order.

  • Reversal of MIRO entry

    Hi
Kindly explain the procedure for reversal of MIRO entries made during current month.
    Thanks
    shivaji

It looks the g/l accounts are not assigned to the tax codes.
Go to FTXP - > Enter Country - > Enter Tax Code and then click on Tax Accounts. If you don't see anything over there, Click on Environment - > Automatic Postings - > Double click on transaction/acc key and then you should be able to enter the Tax Codes.
Make sure you enter the posting keys also - If these are not maintained, you might have issues during miro.
    Hope it helps..

  • PRD account different between good entry and invoice entry

    Hi all
I have a company with purchase account posting active,  with the posting method "at clearing account amount". In the good entry the PRD account is of "calculation" type (not balance sheet relevant) like the stock account and the offsetting purchase account ; the total sum of  these three them is 0 (it is a must, otherwise I shall do a false in balance).
But in the invoic receipt I have only three lines: vendor,GR/IR account and PRD, so I cannot use the same account I have in good entry because the GR\IR is a Balance relevant account, so the PRD must be also.
No idea about how I can force a different account for the PRD in invoice receipt?
    thanks
    Davide

    Hi
Working a standard price can happen if the invoice price is different from that of purchase order. SAP register the variance in GR a first time between the standard value of product and PO value, and after a delta in IR corresponding the eventual difference between the PO value and Invoice value.

  • Mass Reversal of MIRO entries

    Hi Experts,
is there a standard SAP Transaction code to reverse the multiple documents posted through MIR7.
    Please advise.
    Regards
    Shailesh

    Hi,
    Sir.
As far as concern there is no Tcode or BAPI avaliable for MASS Reversal of MIRO. Instead simply you
can write LSMW for MR8M with appropriate data in .TXT format and run once.
LSMW for MR8M is possible solution.
    I hope this helps you.

  • System posts to PRD account for moving average price material.

    Hi,
We are procuring spare parts (ERSA) externally, which is having price control as MAP.  While doing GR, system shows message "Account 602042 required an assignment to a CO object."  Here the problem is account 602042 is a price difference (PRD) account.  Why should system ask for a G/L, which is mentioned in PRD in this case.
Please note that this is first movement for the material and stock is zero in plant.  There are no  material documents for this material.
    Please suggest.
    Regards
    Alex

If ML is active, then this can happen.  Please see note  532932  FAQ: Valuation logic with active material ledger.
material is valuated by the inventory management similarly to the posting logic of a material managed by a standard price. The accounting document generated by the inventory management shows this posting logic; the amount posted in the material document corresponds to the product from quantity and moving average price and not to the externally assigned value.
Generated accounting lines of the material ledger (depending on the material ledger settlement control) then valuate the stock.
    Example:
    Material: Testmat 1
    Price control: V
    Moving average price: 10 EUR/PC
Purchase Order: 10 PCS for 150 EUR
      > goods receipt for the purchase order for 10 PCS
    Acctg documents:
    1) GR document:
       BSX 100 EUR D
       WRX 150 EUR C
       PRD 50 EUR D
    2) ML document:
       BSX 50 EUR D
       PRY 50 EUR C

  • Which accounts are hit on a PO reciept transaction?

I was checking material distributions and saw that on a PO Receipt transaction, it shows two entries in distributions
on first it says accounting type as Inv Valuation with a positive transaction value ( unit cost x quantity)
on the second it says accounting type as Receiving Inspection with a negative same value as in the first line
Both these lines have same accounts which is the Org`s material account..if this account is hit with a positive value and a same negative value on a PO receipt transaction, than where is the effect of the transaction because both hits make the effect nil.
I am confused and dont understand
    Please advice

since you query the journal entries from material distribution form, it is safe to say that you are looking at the second step of PO Receipt transaction, which is the DELIVER transaction.
In an AVG Org, the journal you're looking at is:
Inventory Valuation (Dr) Receiving Account (Cr) @ PO Price
Both of the account can only be the same if you set it up to be the same.
Inventory Valuation is taken from the Material account in the Organization Parameter
Receiving Account is taken from Receiving Options of the IO in question
Pls check whether both of these settings refer to the same COA combination.
    Thanks

  • Doubt in PRD account

    Hi all,
I have a doubt , it is clear that if the price control is V the difference account would flow on the material but on other hand if it is 'S' then the price difference account would flow on the PRD key.
My question is how is this happening ? wat settings is been carried out if price control is V' it is to material and S' it is to the price difference accoount itself . wat is the configuration to be done ?
    regards,
    k

    HI,
Theres no configuration as such for this. All depends on the type of Price control.
When it is the price V then the price gets updated every time in the MMR and the stock value gets updated. Therefore the difference gets debited to the stock A/c.
In case of Standard price the valuation price is same everywhere therefore the price difference is not posted to the stock a/c but the PRD account.
It happens only n case of std price,
    Hope this helps.

  • How to find out MIGO or MIRO without account document

hi,can somebody tell he how to find out MIGO / MIRO withou account document, because my client want to check GL of GR/IR with MIGO&MIRO.
in theory,MIGO - MIRO = GR/IR balance, but if no FI document generated from migo or miro for some reasons, they two do not reconcile, right?

If no Fi document, then there is no GR/IR account in picture. so there is no question of reconciliation.
