Review Activities and AD Groups for Reviewers

Hello,
Hopefully this is the correct place to ask this question.  If not, I apologize in advance.  I have been trying to find the answer to this issue I am having and can't seem to find a solid answer.  For reference, I am using SCSM 2012 R2.
Basically, I have a Review Activity that is configured as such. 
  Current Stage is Approve
  Approval Condition is 100% (3 out of 3)
  Reviewers are all AD groups with users AD users in them. (GroupA GroupB GroupC)  The design behind this is that we need approval from three different departments.  So each group contains the primary reviewer and a backup in case the primary
is out of the office.
In the notification (which is successful) the users have an option to approve or deny utilizing a link.  This link generates an email to my workflow account.  The subject has the [RA####] and the body has [Approved].  All of those are the
proper triggers.  
So basically, the RA sends an email out to GroupA, which UserA receives.  This user hits the approved link and sends the email.  However, the RA never shows that GroupA has approved it.  Is this the expected result because GroupA is technically
the reviewer and not UserA?

Sadly this does not work. It is a long standing bug in service manager.
A workaround is to use orchestrator or powershell to add the reviewers from the groups. If each group has a single backup approver you could change the approved condition to 50%.
If the review activity is the first in the flow add a RA in front of it with approval automatic. this gives your script/runbook a chance to run before the mail is sent (if a runbook you could ad it before the RA, depending on how you want to do it).

    Hi Jeroen,
    Check the sales area data of the Business partner and go to tab Organization. You will see the sales office and sales group there.
    In order to activate the sales area tab in BP transaction you have to select the BP role Sold-To party.

  • Enter Sales Office and Sales Group for SM 2.5

    Hi Experts,
    When we are creating lead and saving it from our SM 2.5, it is giving us error as Enter Sales office and Group. Due to this reason it is not sync with Agentry server and we are not receiving back the Lead transaction ID on to Device.
    The Sales area we are able to put successfully in Client but not sales office and Group as those fields are not visible in our client.
    Please find the snap shot attached and help if any configurations we missed.

    As its a standard functionality to have the Sales Group & Sales Office from Quotation to Order. But in your case, check the Copy Control settings at Header Level .
    DataT 051 General header data       Copying requirements 001 Header-same customer
    DataT 101 Header business data
    DataT 001 Partner header
    In case , they are also same, then check if any Logic is added in the Existing Routine.

  • StoreFront : Payment and Shipping group relationships are missing for some orders

    In our application, we are able to see relationship between payment and shipping group for some orders. But we are not able to find these relationships for some orders.
    We are verifying in "dcspp_payship_rel" table. We are wondering why this behavior is happening for some orders.

    Hello.
    First of all you must ensure that you are properly using transactions when you create/update the orders.
    There are best practices to update the orders in ATG that must be followed to avoid loss of information.
    Like this steps below:
    Acquire a write lock using the ATG lock manager.
    Start the transaction.
    Synchronized on the Order object.
    Update the Order.
    End the synchronization.
    End the transaction.
    Release the lock.

    I want to know the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type?
    There is an option of choosing Usage selected set in SPRO "Seeting for inspection type".If i dont enter anything there,will it show all the code groups in the system while taking UD?

    Hi Shreya,
    Yes, the link between code and Code Group for UD and inspection type is specific selection of UD related to specific inspection type.  Ex. there are separate UD codes individually for Goods receipt against PO, Gr against Production or for In-process inspection ets. so If you assign the selected sets at SPRO Inspection type, then while doing UD system will show UD codes related to only that inspection type.
    If you don't enter anything there at SPRO, you will see all the code groups in the system while taking UD and one can get confused in selecting the relevant code.
    so assigning of UD selected sets, plant wise (tick) at " Inspection types" is best practice.

    2.  can a network be assigned to several WBS elements.

    Yes, Iam sure that a single network can be assigned to more than 1 WBS at a same time.
    A WBS can be assigned several activities even different networks also if required, but an activity can be assigned to one WBS element only. Once activities are assigned to WBS elements, you can exchange data between activities and networks. For example activities can inherit statuses from the WBS elements they are assigned to. Conversely you can total up project activity dates to WBS elements or can check funds allotted to activities against WBS.
    A single or several networks can be used in the project structure, to map individual aspects of the project such as activities that are linked to each other via relationships. The relationships between two activities define the logical sequence of the activities (predecessor u2013 successor relationship) as well as their time dependencies. Activities of different networks can also be linked to one another. Advantage of network technique is that, system can automatically determine planned dates for each activity and entire network on the basis of duration of individual activities and their chronological sequence.

  • Different groups for different syncing rights possible?

    Hi,
    is it possible to configure datasync for one group syncing all mail and appointments and for an other group only syncing appointments?
    Do I have to setup two datasync servers, or could this be solved by an additional connector?

    When i used Data Sync 2 years ago, i created two edirectory groups:
    1 for users only to sync Appointments and 1 group for users to syncing all things
    this worked fine for us, but now with the new GW Mobility 2.0 this works not anymore. I have no option to configure rights with groups.
    Would Novell bring back this option or is there a way to define default-sync settings for all users newly added to the system ?

    What are the levels of security maintained with Oinstall and Dba group at the Oracle level.
    Just want to know for which set of files we need to assign Oinstall and Dba group for which files. Is there any particular reason.

    oinstall/dba are the unix oracle privileged groups. Only the Oracle installation owner and the SYSDBA/SYSOPER roles should belong to this groups.
    If you installed your RDBMS using oinstall, all of the ORACLE_HOME and oracle related files must belong to this group. If using OS authentication to startup/shutdown, and generally speaking, connect / as sysdba, your user must belong to the oracle privileged group. No other user is recommended to belong to this group as this would open excesive administrative privileges to other users.

  • Page break for a group and sub group based on page length

    Hi
    I have a requirement where in I need to develop a report which has the following requirement. I am attaching the sample xml and rtf files for reference:
    1) There are 3 groups in the Data Model. G1, G2 and G3. G1 contains G2 and G2 contains G3. I need to display that data in that order in the rtf template. Pretty straight forward.
    2) The tricky part, however, is that the report needs to have a page break on the following conditions:
        a) When the value of col1 changes which is in G1
        b) On col3 (in G2), but only when there is not enough space on the page to accommodate the values present in G3, ie col5 and col6 alongwith the values in G2. This means when the value of col3, which is present in G2, changes and if there is not enough space to accommodate G2 and G3 on the same page, it should break and start on a new page. The table which should come together is marked in grey color in the RTF template.
    What I have done till now to achieve this?
    I have created a parent table with two rows. In the second row I have made sure that the row doesn't break across pages. This is true for all the subsequent tables in the report. Now, in that second row, I have col1 in a nested table within a repeating group G1. Inside G1 there is a nested table for G2 and within G2 I have another table for the group G3. The row is not breaking across pages for all the tables that have been created.
    I have tried all the permutations and combinations of nested tables, keeping G1, G2 and G3 in the same table but different rows, having G1 in one table and nesting G2 and G3 in another, keeping G2 and G3 in a separate table altogether, Keeping G1, G2 and G3 all of them in the separate table. All of them are apparently not working.
    Is there anyway where we can either get hold of the current position of the cursor and the total number of rows on that page? Or any other solution that is possible? Or if I can have to make changes in the data model?

    Hello Sid,
    I have checked your report and XML Sample and you haven't linked the fields from XML Sample to your .rtf report.
    You can use <?for-each?> syntax for your groups to print the content.

  • Need an help to maintain catalog structure for objects parts,defects,causes,activities and coding in one z table

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to create a z table with the same fields repeating for the development in PM module.
    I want to have Catalog structure (Catalog,Code group,Code) for objects parts,defects,causes,activities and coding in one z table.Firstly I have created these fields by selecting it from QPCD table.Then as I want the same functionality as it is in IW21 (PM Notification) I created the fields by referring to VIQMFE, VIQMUR , VIQMEL and VIQMMA as in IW21.
    1) However, I am not able to maintain the values.Once I select catalog structure for object parts and then when I am selecting it for defects the search help is still taking the object parts value in it and not allowing me to get the relevant data and also to maintain the data.
    I feel the problem is of check table as all the fields are referring  to the same check tables TQ15 , QPGR and QPCD but I am not getting the exact solution.
    Please find attach the screen shot of the table I have created and also the error I am getting while maintaining the values.

  • Permissions for Approving Review Activities via the SSP

    I need a little help figuring out the necessary permissions I need to assign in SCSM 2012 R2.  I'm trying to create a user role that will allow users to do only the following tasks via the self-service portal:
    Approve a Review Activity
    Reject a Review Activity
    Mark an Activity as Completed
    Mark an Activity as Failed
    I want to ensure that users can only submit a vote for themselves for Review Activities.  For example, if User1 and User2 both have to vote on an RA, I don't want User1 to be able to Approve on behalf of User2 via the SSP.
    I've tried creating a custom role based on the Advaned Operators role, but that gives too many permissions (User1 can approve on behalf of User2).  I've also tried creating a custom role based on the Read-Only Operators role, but then User1 can't approve
    at all.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Activity Implementors is the first option. That allows the user to edit, vote and complete activities. however, this will not prevent approve on behalf.
    I'm going to buck the trend here, and suggest that you should not restrict on behalf of approval. This can be a real hassle if someone goes on vacation or is otherwise indisposed. The general methodology for this is trust and verify, I.e. set up
    an alert or notification for behalf of approvals that goes to a supervisor or have an auditing report that shows votes on behalf.

    There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance
