RFQ and Contract

Hello SRM Folks,
We are on SRM 5.0 and using SRM just for RFQ and Contract (other document like purchase requisition and PO are being created in ECC). So purchase precision will come from ECC to SRM  souricng cockpit and from there buyer will create RFQ or contract.  I have couple of questions regarding this scenario-
1. I am not sure if I need to replicate material from ECC ?
2.  How can I replicate contract to ECC (FYI we do not want to create Global outline agreement)
3. Can somebody let me know which config guide I should follow ?
Thanks,
PS Full rewards to those who answer all of the questions.

Hi Jain
1) Suggest you to replicate materials. Refer Blog by Marcin /people/marcin.gajewski/blog/2007/02/05/how-to-replicate-material-master-from-r3-to-srm
2) If you want to create contract in ECC from sourcing (or RFx), you need to implement BADI BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS. Check the sample implementation at https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS-CONTRACT_LOGSYS_DETERMINE  (if there is any problem with this link, goto SRM Wiki section in SDN)
3) You need to follow 'Contract Management Scenario' and 'Plan Driven Procurement' config, if you have Solution manager.
If you do not have solution manager, use 'Sourcing Config Guide' given in https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SRM/Configuration+Guides (or service.sap.com/ibc-srm).

  • Product-ID mandatory in RFQ and Contract

Hi SRM-gurus. Is Product-ID (material master) mandatory in order to create Quotations and Contracts from Sourcing? Also, can you create backend contract without material master and/or item category "W", or are there any limitations related to contract generation from Sourcing to ERP?`

  • Pricing Procedure for RFQ and Contract

    Hi All,
I have  configired new pricing procedure for external purchaseing documents import and export business.
This pricing procedure is working fine for  PO but while manitan quatation and create contract Iam not able see configured pricing procedure.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Nagaraj.K

    Hi
Have you maintained a supplementary pricing procedure, if not please maintain a pricing procedure similar to RM0002, assign this to the Basic condition type PB00 or your customized one.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Header Condtion for RFQ and Conract pricing procedure

    Hi All,
we have configured new pricing procedure purchansing documents.
We are able to see in PO, header and Item condtion types but In RFQ and COntract we are  able to see only at item level.
Please guide us how to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Nagaraj K

    Hi,
please check first the document type for the RFQ and the contract you
are using. Was the time-dependent conditions flag set for these document types?
The standard schema for purchasing documents is RM0000. In gross price
condition type PB00, supplementary calculation schema is RM0002.
When updating time-dependent conditions in a purchasing document, the
system will first check the main schema. It will check the first
condition type, which is the gross price condition type PB00 in
standard. It will find the supplementary pricing procedure (RM0002 in
in standard) that is assigned to the gross price condition type. These
are the supplementary conditions that can be included together with
    pb00 for the quotation item.
Table A019 is used for header conditions for contracts, scheduling
agreements and quotations using time-dependent conditions. When you
want to maintain header conditions in the quotation, the system will
check all conditions in standard schema RM0000, to see if any contain
an access sequence that includes table A019. In standard, only condition
type RA01 contains an access sequence which includes table A019.
Therefore condition type RA01 will be proposed for updating in standard.
RA01 is defined with it's own supplementary pricing procedure RM0001.
You will only be able to include condition types that are used together
with RA01 as supplementary conditions from RM0001!

  • Version mgmnt for RFQ and PO

    Dear gurus,
pls explain about version management for RFQ and PO
    pls explain in detail

SPRO –> Material Management –> Purchasing -> Version Management .
After activating version management you can see the Version tab in ME53N near to source of supply tab in PR.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm30/helpdata/en/46/882fdd8bfc1743bd5ef8b532f94402/content.htm
SAP Enterprise Buyer provides you with version management for purchasing documents. As a first step, you can display versions of purchase orders and contracts.
The system creates a version in the background if you, as a purchaser, carry out one of the following actions:
    · You change a posted purchase order
    · You order a posted purchase order again
    · You change a contract that has already been released
    · You release an already released contract again
In contrast to the change documents that retain a change history, a version displays the status of a document at a specific point in time.
Version management provides a check for you as a purchaser, for example, if you wish to display a purchase order in the form in which you transferred it to the vendor on day X. A version provides clarity, for example, in negotiations on a contract.
    Features
You can use versions as follows:
    · Display
    · Compare and list differences in tabular form. The comparison result has separate areas that can be displayed:
Header data (including organizational data, tax and payment data; partner data and documents)
Item data (including taxes and limits if they exist; partner data, documents; account assignment and conditions)
    · Archive, if it relates to transaction data (you can archive versions of purchase orders, but not contract versions)
You cannot change or output versions. This is only possible for the active document.

  • How are POs and Contracts are related?

We are ABAP4 developers and pretty new at MM module.  We would be appreciated if some MM experts here can tell us the relationship between Contracts/RFQs and POs!

A purchasing document is an instrument used by Purchasing to procure materials or services.
The following list shows the various external purchasing documents available in the standard SAP System. (Note: purchase requisitions are not included on this list because they are usually regarded as internal documents used within Purchasing and are therefore treated separately.)
    Request for quotation (RFQ)
Transmits a requirement defined in a requisition for a material or service to potential vendors.
    Quotation
Contains a vendor's prices and conditions and is the basis for vendor selection.
    Purchase order (PO)
The buying entity’s request or instruction to a vendor (external supplier) to supply certain materials or render/perform certain services/works, formalizing a purchase transaction.
    Contract
In the SAP Purchasing component, a type of "outline agreement", or longer-term buying arrangement. The contract is a binding commitment to procure a certain material or service from a vendor over a certain period of time.
    Scheduling agreement
Another type of "outline agreement", or longer-term buying arrangement. Scheduling agreements provide for the creation of delivery schedules specifying purchase quantities, delivery dates, and possibly also precise times of delivery over a predefined period.

  • Purchase Order and Contract - controlling overall value

Our process has the following steps - The total amount in the order to the vendor is fixed. Indivdual services have rates fixed, but quantities are not fixed ie, the quantity can vary from 0 to any upper number subject to the overall value of the order. I tried the following:
Created a contract (ME31K) with the services and rates entered (quantity kept as 1). Overall value entered as the contract limit. PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
With this my expectation was that the system will allow multuiple service entry sheets for each of the services upto the limit specified by the contract. However the system allowed Service Entry for value exceeding the overall limit of the contract.
What other configuration needs to be done to make sure that beyond the overall value limit, system does not allow service entry.
Thanks in advance for your help
    Deepak

    You say that
    1. you have created the contract with overall service limits.
    2. you now referred this contract and created the PO
PO created (ME21N) and Contract details and overall limits entered. Service items adopted from the contract and the 'No Limit' box checked for individual services. All service quantities maintained as 1 no, rates copied from contract.
Please remove the No limit check and keep only the value in contract limits. The system would then force you to enter the additional value in unplanned services during SES creation. The same applies when you are using Other Limits (Mentioned limit in other Limits tab in PO creation)
If it does not work, check message settings for message # SE 347, 364, 365 & 366.
If it still does not work, please open an OSS message to SAP.
    Thanks & regards

  • Release strategy for PO and Contract

    Hi,
    I maintain characteritic for PO
    Plant
    Doc Type
    Net Order Value
    Purchasing Group
    I maintain characteristic  for contract
    Company code
    Target Value
    Doc Type
    Purchasing group
    My class consist of
    Plant
    Doc Type
    Net Order Value
    Purchasing Group
    Company code
    Target value
Q1: Do i need to maintain ALL characteristic value when i define my release strategy for PO or Contract as some characteristic only apply to PO only or contract only?
Q2:  What option do i have if i need to maintain all characteristic value ? leave it blank ? empty
Currently my PO release is working fine but when i try to maintain the contract release inside the class . my PO release is not triggering . I maintained diffrent release group for both PO and Contract .
    Thank for your advice

    First of all
For purchasing like PO,pr,contract you can able to get in ekko table. No need to maintain separate release unless if it your business requirement.Take Document type as one of the characteristics it will distinguish whether it is PO or contract.
You have to maintain all the characteristic value then only it will trigered release.
Check the release indicator as well.
    Hope it will help.

  • Exit for role determination via exit for scheduling agreement and contract?

    Hi..
I have a requirement to fetch the agents in run-time for PO,PR,SCHEDULE AGREEMENT, CONTRACT..
    For PO i am using EXIT : - M06E0005
For PR release i am using EXIT :- M06B0001
By using above 2 exits i am getting the agents at run-time...
Same way i need the EXIT for SCHEDULE AGREEMENT and CONTRACT..
if there is any EXIT for this please share with me..
    Regards,
    Imtiaz Khan

    Hi Imtiaz,
Ideally you should have your agent determination logic in workflow itself instead of determinining them in EXIT.
Can you tell me why you are determining agents in exit and how you are making use of it ?
Also let us know how your workflows are getting trigger for all these documents.

  • Send RFQ and PO from SAP R/3 to SRM

    Hi all,
I am new to SRM and need send the RFQ and PO created in SAP R/3 release 4.7 for SRM Server 5.0. I am using a distribution model (ALE) between the systems with the message types REQOTE and ORDERS associated to IDOC types ORDERS02 and ORDERS05 respectively. This scenario not have PI/XI implemented.
My problem is what this IDOC types aren't disponible on SRM and do not know how to receive this IDOCs.
Is there any way standard in SRM to receive these IDOCs? How can resolved this question?
    Thanks,
    Luciano Lessa

    Hi,
    Thank you for replying Masa,
My customer doesn't want the sourcing done in SRM. The SRM will be used by the supplier to update the prices in RFQs and will then be sent to SAP.
As PO, not know what is possible create a confirmation on SRM without a PO. If the PO doesn't exist in the SRM, know how the relationship between PO and Confirmation? You have some material about that question?
    Thanks,
    Luciano

  • Creation of MKK and Contract Account for New CRM Roles

    Hi Experts,
I need a help in CRM for creating new roles and extending the same in R/3 in MKK role.
Here is the problem I faced.
I have copied the CRM000 role and created a new role ZCRM00 for
business specific need. It is getting created in CRM and a BP is also
getting created in R/3 BP but it is not creating an MKK Role in FI-CA.
The following steps can be used to simulate the problem
Step-1: Create a BP in CRM with the ZCRM00 role. Please do not
extend or create the BP in Sold to Party Role. Because if the BP has
Sold to Party role then the problem will not occur and Business does
not want to have s in Sold to Party roles because customers will
be having Sold to Party Role
Step-2: Create a Business Agreement for that BP
Step 3: Go to R/3. Run Transaction FPP3 and search for the BP created
in  role. The system throws the message "usiness Partner <BP
Number> does not exist in the MKK Role".
Step-4: If you go to the transaction CAA2 and enter the Contract
Account Number (Appearing in the Business Agreement Tab of BP Business
AGreement Tab in CRM) and the BP Number the system will say "Business
Partner <BP Number> does not exist in the Contract Partner.
I have already executed the steps mentioned in OSS Notes 632749 but it did not result into anything.
Can anybody please help me to create the MKK role and Contract Account in R/3 for the newly created role in CRM. I understand this thing works fine for the Sold to Party role in CRM. I believe when SAP has given the flexibility to create new role in CRM, there will be some way to create the MKK role and contract account automatically (very much like Sold to Party) in R/3.
    Looking forward for your reply
    Regards
    Karthi V

    Hi,
Can you please guide us if you were able to resolve this issue and you were able to assign the MKK Contract partner role for the custom BP Roles.
    Thanks,
    Vamsi.
